Since birth infants are active and communicative partners engaged in protoconversations with caretakers. Motherese, the simplified language adults spontaneously use with infants, has a musical structure. We believe that for developmental and evolutionistic reasons music is a preferential tool to favor communication and to promote group identity. We carried on a musical experience with a group of autistic (ASD) children aged 5 to 7 years. Each child participated at their school with 10 typically developed classmates and their teachers. Our ASD children love music and enjoy playing and singing.

A dictionary is an information tool. In the last century most dictionaries were constructed as polyfunctional tools following a broad and imprecise understanding: A dictionary is to be used by everyone for every kind of communicative and cognitive problem. But normal tools are not polyfunctional. If you go to a shop and ask for a saw, you have to specify first what you are going to saw: a big tree or a small piece of plywood. Politics and identity go together in Brazilian heavy metal. Headbangers often experience accusations regarding their less-than-Latin-American identity for enjoying a foreign musical style more than their own native styles. Even though this is partially true, Brazilian heavy metal engages national and musical identity in at least two different ways. The first is through the denial of any connection to Brazilian culture and its roots by accepting this anglophone genre. The second is through the transformation of the musical genre itself, thanks to the influence of Brazilian folk music. Based on

Experienced musicians have the ability to understand the structural elements of music compositions. Such an ability is built over time through the study of music theory, the understanding of rules that guide the composition of music, and countless hours of practice. The learning process is hard, especially for classical music, where the rigidity of the music structures and styles requires great effort to understand, assimilate, and then master the learned notions. In particular, we focused our attention on a specific type of music compositions, namely, music in chorale style (four-voice music)
