El conflicto de Bagua nos demostró que al Perú le falta un largo camino por recorrer si quiere considerarse como una sociedad abierta a la pluriculturalidad. Esto pasa también por reconocer las diversas manifestaciones jurídicas que existen en el Derecho desde un enfoque basado en ideas del pluralismo jurídico. En este artículo, el autor analiza las ideas evolucionistas y las asocia a actores políticos como Alan García o Mercedes Aráoz. En segundo lugar, analiza la relación que se creó entre las comunidades nativas Awajún-Wampís y la globalización buscando la defensa de sus derechos frente al Estado; y, finalmente, presenta la relación entre el sistema jurídico del Estado y el de los Awajún-Wampís con base en los conceptos del pluralismo jurídico.

Este artículo compara la fabricación de la canoa entre los awajún-wampís (antes chícham) y los kokama-omagua (tupí-guaraní) en cuanto a la organización de la actividad, materiales, construcción y prácticas simbólicas. Las diferencias principales se deben a los ecosistemas de sus territorios y el uso de las canoas. Los awajún-wampís son de la selva alta, donde los ríos son corrientosos y se realizan viajes dentro de su área. Los kokama-omagua, de la selva baja, navegan en aguas más tranquilas, donde su quilla les permite el manejo de la canoa desde la proa para pescar y cazar mientras manejan el bote. Además, pueden realizar viajes largos y a veces de noche. Se contrasta la construcción de la canoa, una actividad masculina, con la fabricación de cerámica, que es una tarea femenina, en ambos grupos. En los dos casos, la prohibición de relaciones sexuales es expresión de la identidad de género.

Los paros indígenas amazónicos de 2008 y 2009 han revelado un tipo de sociedad poco conocida en el resto del país. Se trata de sociedades igualitarias y acéfalas inmersas en un Estado burocrático y rodeadas de una sociedad estratificada. Para comprender las motivaciones y principios de organización del movimiento se realizaron entrevistas a algunos líderes awajún y se examinó la historia de este pueblo.

Hevein-like antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) comprise a family of plant AMPs with antifungal activity, which harbor a chitin-binding site involved in interactions with chitin of fungal cell walls. However, the mode of action of hevein-like AMPs remains poorly understood. This work reports the structure–function relationship in WAMPs—hevein-like AMPs found in wheat (Triticum kiharae Dorof. et Migush.) and later in other Poaceae species. The effect of WAMP homologues differing at position 34 and the antifungal activity of peptide fragments derived from the central, N- and C-terminal regions of one of the WAMPs, namely WAMP-2, on spore germination of different plant pathogenic fungi were studied. Additionally, the ability of WAMP-2-derived peptides to potentiate the fungicidal effect of tebuconazole, one of the triazole fungicides, towards five cereal-damaging fungi was explored in vitro by co-application of WAMP-2 fragments with Folicur® EC 250 (25% tebuconazole). The antifungal activity of WAMP homologues and WAMP-2-derived peptides varied depending on the fungus, suggesting multiple modes of action for WAMPs against diverse pathogens. Folicur® combined with the WAMP-2 fragments inhibited the spore germination at a much greater level than the fungicide alone, and the type of interactions was either synergistic or additive, depending on the target fungus and concentration combinations of the compounds. The combinations, which resulted in synergism and drastically enhanced the sensitivity to tebuconazole, were revealed for all five fungi by a checkerboard assay. The ability to synergistically interact with a fungicide and exacerbate the sensitivity of plant pathogenic fungi to a commercial antifungal agent is a novel and previously uninvestigated property of hevein-like AMPs.

Résumé Outre son fameux astrolabe ou encore son légendaire tombeau, d’autres objets et lieux ont été associés à Samuel de Champlain. C’est le cas d’un des wampums conservés au musée du quai Branly à Paris ayant fait partie de la récente exposition « Premières Nations, Collections royales de France » de passage au Musée Pointe-à-Callière de Montréal à l’été 2007. Assez bien connu du public pour avoir paru dans diverses publications et expositions depuis les cent dernières années, on a affirmé jusqu’à récemment que ce wampum avait été donné par les Hurons à Champlain lui-même en 1611 afin de forger une alliance qui allait garantir le développement de la Nouvelle-France. Bien qu’il eût été intéressant de détenir une « trace » de cette alliance fondatrice, l’apparence des perles et du wampum en général, le silence de Champlain à son égard, la constitution des collections royales et la façon dont cette interprétation erronée s’est développée nous font croire que Champlain n’a jamais vu ni touché ce wampum. Tout en appelant les chercheurs à questionner les objets avec la même rigueur appliquée aux documents écrits, la réflexion entourant un objet en particulier permettra du même coup de parler de la difficulté de documenter et d’interpréter les objets amérindiens muséifiés.

There are increasing environmental risks associated with extensive use of fungicides for crop protection. Hence, the use of new approaches using natural plant defense mechanisms, including application of plant antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), is of great interest. Recently, we studied the structural–function relationships between antifungal activity and five hevein-like AMPs from the WAMP (wheat AMP) family of Triticum kiharae Dorof. et Migush. We first discovered that short peptides derived from the central, N-, and C-terminal regions of one of the WAMPs (WAMP-2) were able to augment the inhibitory effect of Folicur® EC 250, a triazole fungicide, on spore germination of the wheat pathogenic fungi, including Fusarium spp. and Alternaria alternata. In this research, we explored the ability of chemically synthesized WAMP-2-derived peptides for enhancing the sensitivity of two other Fusarium and Alternaria species, F. oxysporum and A. solani, causing wilt and early blight of tomato, respectively, to Folicur®. The synthesized WAMP-2-derived peptides synergistically interacted with the fungicide and significantly increased its efficacy, inhibiting conidial germination at much lower Folicur® concentrations than required for the same efficiency using the fungicide alone. The experiments on co-applications of some of WAMP-2-fragments and the fungicide on tomato leaves and seedlings, which confirmed the results obtained in vitro, are described.

Clausena lansium, also known as wampee (Clausena wampi), is a plant species native to China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia, where it is widely cultivated, and also grown in India, Sri Lanka, Queensland, Florida, and Hawaii, but less frequently (3). The fruit can be consumed fresh or made into juice, jam, or succade. In summer to fall 2014, a soft rot disease was found in a wampee planting region in Yunan County, Guangdong Province, China. On Sept. 18, we collected diseased samples from a wampee orchard with about 20% disease incidence. The infected fruit initially showed pinpoint spots on the peel, water-soaked lesions, and light to dark brown discoloration. Spots expanded in 2 days, and tissues collapsed after 5 days. Severely affected fruit showed cracking or nonodorous decay. Five diseased samples were collected, and causal agents were isolated from symptomatic tissues 1 cm under the peel after surface sterilization in 0.3% NaOCl for 10 min and rinsing in sterile water three times. Tissues were placed on a Luria Bertani (LB) plate for culture. Ten representative isolates were selected for further characterization. No colony was isolated from healthy tissues. Colonies were round, smooth, with irregular edges, and produced a yellow pigment in culture. Biolog identification (Version 4.20.05) showed that all strains were gram negative, negative for indole production, and utilized glucose, maltose, trehalose, sucrose, D-lactose, and pectin but not sorbitol or gelatin. The isolates were identified as Pantoea agglomerans (SIM 0.69). Multilocus sequence analysis (MLSA) was conducted for rapid classification of the strains. Sequences of atpD, gyrB, infB, and rpoB were amplified using corresponding primers (2). All sequences of the 10 isolates were identical in each gene. BLASTn was performed, and maximum likelihood trees based on the concatenated nucleotide sequences of the four genes were constructed using MEGA6. Bootstrap values after 1,000 replicates were expressed as percentages. Results showed that the tested strain named CL1 was most homologous to P. anthophila, with 98% identity for atpD (KM521543), 100% for gyrB (KM521544), infB (KM521545), and rpoB (KM521546). The 16S rRNA sequence (KM521542) amplified by primers 27f and 1492r shared 99% identity with that of P. anthophila M19_2C (JN644500). P. anthophila was previously reclassified from P. agglomerans (3); therefore, we suggest naming this wampee pathogen P. anthophila. Subsequently, 10 wampee fruits were injected with 20 μl of bacterial suspension (1 × 108 CFU/ml) of strains CL1 and CL2, respectively, and another 10 were injected with 20 μl of LB medium as controls, all kept at 28°C for 4 days. Symptoms similar to those of natural infections were observed on inoculated fruits but not on the negative controls. Bacteria were isolated from diseased tissues and further identified as P. anthophila by gyrB sequencing. P. anthophila was reported to naturally infect balsam and marigold (1,2). To our knowledge, this is the first report of P. anthophila naturally causing soft rot disease and cracking on C. lansium (wampee). References: (1) C. Brady et al. Syst. Appl. <p>El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar el nivel de comprensión lectora de los estudiantes awanjun y wampis del Programa de Profesionalización Docente de la Universidad Nacional Toribio Rodríguez de Mendoza de Amazonas de la provincia de Condorcanqui. La investigación fue de tipo descriptivo con dise ño transeccional comparativo. La muestra fue de tipo probabilística por tombola, conformado por 160 estudiantes awajun y wampis de la escuela profesional de educacion intercultural bilingüe de las especialidadcs de educación inicial y primaria. Para la recolección de datos se empleó la técnica de la encuesta y como instrumento, el cuestionario de comprensión lectora con cuatro textos diferentes y cinco preguntas de tipo literal e inferencial, administrados a los estudiantes. Los resultados evidencian que mas del 90% de estudiantes universitarios awajún y wampis se ubican en un nivel de comprensión lectora literal, mientras que el 10% restante se ubica en el nivel inferencial. No se encontró diferencias significativas en las variables sexo y especialidad; sin embargo se evidenció diferencias significativas en cuanto a la variable lengua nativa.</p>

<p>El presente estudio de tipo cualitativo etnográfico, tuvo por objetivo caracterizar las costumbres y creencias relacionadas con la salud y comprender el significado que tienen los procesos de salud/enfermedad para los pobladores nativos awajun y wampis. Se trabajo con 29 informantes clave. Los métodos utilizados fueron la observacién participante y la entrevista informal a profundidad; y, como instrumentos se utilizó el cuademo de campo y la guia de entrevista. En la concepcion awajun y wampis, el significado de la salud está relacionado con<br />la creencia en seres divinos y espiritus, cuya aparicion da bienestar; la ingestion de plantas Como la <em>shipitna</em>, el <em>chuchuwasi</em> y las alucinógenas como el toé, ayahuasca y tabaco para obtener la "VISION" que sublimiza el bienestar. Por otro lado, la enfermedad puede ser causada por brujeria o al encontrarse con espiritus o animales como el jaguar y la serpiente. En conclusión, el significado de los procesos de salud/enfermedad en las comunidades nativas awajun y wampis, no se reduce a un enfoque solamente biológico.</p>

La presente tesis es la sistematización y análisis de un conjunto de datos discursivos, desde una perspectiva enteramente masculina, alrededor de la práctica del cortejo y del matrimonio, recogidos en una comunidad wampís del Alto Río Santiago, Condorcanqui, Amazonas, Perú. Estos datos fueron recogidos en una investigación etnográfica realizada entre febrero y mayo del año 2015. Ambos conceptos son elementos heurísticos que me sirvieron para guiar las construcciones de historias de pareja, las cuales eran el objetivo principal cuando planifiqué el campo. Así, entendí ambos conceptos como momentos sucesivos en la historia de las parejas. La diferencia entre ambos era marcada por un acto, el matrimonio, dónde el hombre “pide” a la mujer al “poseedor” de la misma. Tras este momento, aparece un cambio en las interacciones de la pareja con su entorno social.<br>Tesis

Angle-Mort de la construction nationale péruvienne, le Haut Marañón est habité par les populations indigènes awajún et wampís, et décrété terre de mission chrétienne au milieu du XXème siècle. Ce territoire amazonien, situé au nord-Est du pays sur une zone frontalière disputée avec l’Équateur depuis les débuts de l’ère républicaine, fait l’objet d’un projet d'intégration à la sphère étatique et nationale. Colonisation interne par des populations paysannes métisses, exploration du sous-Sol préalable à l’élaboration de plans d'extraction minière, pénétration des pratiques narcotrafiquantes, institutionnalisation des œuvres scolaire et médicale: de confin relégué à un statut d’invisibilité, le Haut Marañón devient alors un front de progression de la "société englobante”, nationale puis internationale. Cette recherche retrace l'histoire de la "rencontre" entre deux sphères culturelles, indigène et englobante, dont le Haut Marañón est le théâtre, de l’arrivée des jésuites en 1946 à 2009, date du Baguazo, un conflit sanglant survenu dans la ville de Bagua entre indigènes et forces de police. La thèse montre que loin de se limiter à une simple absorption du marginal par le national, cette rencontre a suscité l'intérêt d'une société civile encore en gestation, et précipité une remise en question partielle du paradigme historique de construction nationale, jusqu'alors sous-Tendu par des logiques socio-Raciales discriminantes et inégalitaires<br>As an overlooked piece of Peru’s nation building process, the High Marañón region was mainly populated by indigenous, Awajún and Wampís populations until it was designated a Christian mission land in the middle of the XXth century. This Amazonian territory, located on the northeastern part of the country on the border with Ecuador, has been in diplomatic dispute since the early republican era. As a result, it became the focus of projects whose aim was to integrate the High Marañón into the nation and whose outcome was a number of new phenomena such as a process of “internal colonization” by peasants of mixed race, a series of subsoil explorations for mining extraction, and the institutionalization of activities related to education and health. From a forlorn land made invisible by the limitations of peruvian state apparatus, the High Marañón region became a battleground in the progression of global dynamics. This research aims to narrate the history of the “encounter” of two cultural areas, the indigenous one and the global one, from the arrival of the Jesuit mission in 1946 to the Baguazo event, so-Named after a bloody conflict between indigenous activists and police forces in the city of Bagua which took place in 2009. This research demonstrates that far from limiting itself to a mere absorption of a margin by a nation, this encounter has aroused the interest of Peruvian civil society, and partially called into question the historical nation-Building paradigm, in which socio-Racially biased logics have thusfar prevailed

This dissertation constitutes the first attempt at describing the grammar of Wampis (Spanish: Huambisa), a language spoken in the Peruvian Amazon. Wampis belongs to the so-called Jivaroan family of languages and is closely related to sister languages Awajun, Shuar, Shiwiar and Achuar. The grammar introduces the Wampis people and some aspects of their culture and history before analyzing the major aspects of the language from a grammatical perspective. Wampis possesses a complex prosodic system that mixes features of tone and stress. Vowel elision processes pervade most morphophonological processes. Nasalization is also present and spreads rightward and leftward through continuants and vowels. Every word in Wampis needs at least one high tone, but more can occur in a word. Morphologically, Wampis is a very rich language. Nouns and especially verbs have very robust morphology. Affixes and enclitics contribute different meanings to words. Some morphemes codify semantic categories that are not grammatically codified in many other languages, such as sudden realization, apprehensive and mirative modalities. An outstanding feature of Wampis is the pattern of argument indexation on the verb, which follows an uncommon pattern in which the verb agrees with the object (and not with the subject) if the object is a Plural Speech Act participant. Parallel to this pattern of argument indexation is the typologically uncommon pattern of object marking in Wampis, whereby a third person object noun phrase is not marked as an object if the subject is a first plural, second singular or second plural person. Wampis exhibits a nominative-accusative alignment. All notional objects (direct, indirect, object of applicative) are treated identically in the syntax. The preferred order is A P V. Wampis also possesses a sophisticated system of participant tracking, which is instantiated in the grammar via switch-reference markers. Another typologically uncommon feature of Wampis is the presence of a sub-system of switch-reference markers that track a participant that is not a subject. Throughout the twenty-one chapters of this grammar, other issues of Wampis related to different areas of phonology, morphology and syntax are also addressed and described from a functional and a typological perspective.

In recent decades, life cycle assessment (LCA) has become a commonly used approach worldwide when studying environmental impacts linked to waste management systems. These systems are of a complex nature which includes everything from technical solutions, the environmental influence, and various stakeholders. To facilitate studies within this area of research, different LCA models are often utilised. WAMPS is a software specifically developed for assessing the environmental and economic impacts for a waste management system. During recent years, the work to bring the model up to date has begun as the software has not been modernised since it was developed in the early 2000s. The purpose of this degree project is to propose new emission factors for recycling and virgin production of glass, aluminium, steel, and plastic. In addition to this, the study intends to investigate how the implementation of the new figures may affect the results obtained in WAMPS.  To fulfil the purpose of the thesis, LCI datasets were collected for each material and evaluated according to three DQIs (Temporal representativeness, geographical representativeness, and documentation). New emission factors were developed based on the evaluation and discussions within the project group, to ensure that all relevant activities of the studied life cycles were included. The implications from implementing the new emission factors were investigated through a comparison with the old values. This was conducted through comparing the obtained results from WAMPS per one tonne of material as well as for a simple scenario.  The evaluation of the collected LCI data shows that many of the datasets represent average production in countries within Europe and that the data were generally older than five years old. The results show that the datasets were primarily well documented according to the criterion utilised in this study. Processes from EcoInvent were mainly used to develop the proposed emission factors. The implementation of the new emission factors in WAMPS resulted in significant change in potential environmental impact per tonne of material. Especially for the impact category photooxidation formation. For the scenario, the results indicated that a significant change in potential environmental burden is received when implementing the new emission factors. A reduction in total impact was obtained for all categories where eutrophication showed the largest absolute difference.  The developed emission factors are considered appropriate based on the design of this thesis. However, it is concluded that these have several limitations that are important to take into account if these were to be implemented in WAMPS in the future. In addition, it is considered established that an update may be considered reasonable based on the result obtained.<br>Under de senaste decennierna har livscykelanalys (LCA) blivit ett vanligt tillvägagångssätt världen över vid analyser av potentiella miljöeffekter kopplade till avfallshanteringssystem. Dessa system är av komplex natur och inkluderar allt från teknologiska lösningar, miljöpåverkan samt flera intressenter. För att underlätta dessa studier används idag ofta olika LCA-modeller. WAMPS är ett program som är särskilt utvecklad för att bedöma både miljömässiga- och ekonomiska konsekvenser kopplat till avfallshanteringssystem. Under de senaste åren har arbetet med att uppdatera modellen påbörjat eftersom programvaran inte har uppdaterats sedan början av 2000-talet. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att föreslå nya emissionsfaktorer för återvinning och jungfrulig produktion av glas, aluminium, stål, och plast. Utöver detta avser studien att studera hur implementeringen av de nya siffrorna inverkar på resultatet som erhålls i WAMPS.  För att uppfylla tesen av detta arbete samlades LCI data in för varje material och utvärderades enligt tre DQI:er (Temporal representativitet, geografisk representativitet och dokumentation). Nya utsläppsfaktorer utvecklades baserat på utvärderingen och genom diskussioner inom projektgruppen. Framförallt för att säkerhetsställa att alla relevanta aktiviteter i de studerade livscyklerna är inkluderade. Konsekvenserna av implementeringen av utsläppsfaktorerna undersöktes genom en jämförelse av resultat som erhölls i WAMPS då de nya samt de tidigare faktorerna nyttjas. Detta gjordes både per ton material samt genom ett enkelt scenario.  Utvärderingen av den insamlade LCI datan påvisar att många av dataseten representerar genomsnittlig produktion inom Europa och att datan generellt var insamlad för minst 5 år sedan. Resultatet påvisar att dataseten är väldokumenterad enlig indikatorn som ställts upp i denna studie. Främst användes processer från EcoInvent för att utveckla de nya emissionsfaktorerna. Implementeringen av emissionsfaktorerna i WAMPS resulterade i signifikanta skillnader i potentiell miljöpåverkan per ton material, främst för bildning av fotooxid. För fallet med scenariot indikerade studiens resultat att en betydande förändring av den potentiella miljöbelastningen erhålls när de nya utsläppsfaktorerna implementeras. Dessutom påvisades en minskning av miljöeffekterna för alla kategorier varav eutrofiering visade den största absoluta skillnaden.  Slutligen anses de utvecklade emissions faktorerna vara lämpliga utifrån utformningen av denna tes. Dock dras slutsatsen att dessa har flertalet begränsningar som är viktiga att ta i hänsyn ifall dessa implementeras i WAMPS i framtiden. Dessutom anses det vara fastställt att en fortsatt uppdatering kan anses rimlig utifrån det erhållna resultatet.

El presente artículo propone una reflexión etnopolítica sobre el conceptode ‘organización indígena’. El Consejo Aguaruna Huambisa (CAH) fue la primera organización indígena awajún y wampis que, apartir de fines de la década de 1970, se impuso como representantede casi la totalidad de las cuencas de los cincos ríos que constituy en el territorio awajún y wampis, en el distrito de Condorcanqui (región Amazonas). El interés del presente estudio será profundizar cómo esta primera etapa de construcción de las organizaciones indígenas se caracteriza por la definición de una nueva forma deliderazgo: la nueva generación de dirigentes indígenas demuestra grandes capacidades para negociar los conceptos básicos propios de su visión ancestral con las enseñanzas recién aprendidas graciasa su interrelación con el mundo exterior, logrando así un puente entre las expectativas de las comunidades nativas con las exigencias impuestas por las instituciones peruanas.<br>The present article proposes an ethno-political analisis of the conceptof indigenous organization. The Huambisa Aguaruna Council(HAC) was the first Awajun and Wambis indigenous organization,which at the end of the seventies achieved to be the representant of almost all of the rivers in the Condorcanqui district (Amazonas region). This study seeks to understand how this first phase of construction of indigenous organization was characterized by the definition of a new form of leadership, in which a new generation of indigenous leaders showed great ability in negotiating concepts of ancestral life with new abilities and ideas learned through the interaction with the outside world. As such this new generation could be a bridge in between the expectations of the native communities and the imposed demands by Peruvian institutions.

A Wide Area Measurement, Protection and Control (WAMPAC) strategy offers great potential for the upgrade of the supervision, operation, protection and control of modern power systems. Forwarding high volume measurements as well as timecritical protection and control signals across a national area power infrastructure poses a major challenge. A flexible, reliable communication platform is the key to enabling these enhanced functionalities. Thus the research focuses on the issues of communication network topology and Quality of Service (QoS) control that enable the range of fully functional WAMPAC applications, ensuring that their requirements in terms of delay and throughput are satisfied. In the goal of designing a flexible and reliable platform, the appropriate network topology is designed and analysed laying the foundation for the investigation of the optimum placements of Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) and the characterisation of network performance. Clustering algorithms are applied to determine the locations of the distributed network of PMUs based on the designed network topology not compromising the power infrastructure requirements. The assignments of traffic flows according to the IEEE C37.118 standard and proposed advanced WAMPAC applications are analysed through simulation for the existing United Kingdom power system. Performance of the system is verified in terms of link capacities, network topologies and QoS, and results prove the proposed solution guarantees the network performance required to support the spectrum of WAMPAC applications.

Iniciativas de melhoria de processos de software são afetadas pordiversos problemas que prejudicam a institucionalização dos processos. Nem sempre as organizações estão cientes dos possíveis problemas e, assim, não se precaveem para evitá-los. Este artigo apresenta um estudo qualitativo cujo objetivo é identificar riscos que comumente afetam iniciativas de melhoria de processos de software aderentes ao MR-MPS-SW e ao CMMI-DEV. Um mapeamento sistemático foi realizado nos principais eventos científicos que tratam especificamente qualidade de software no Brasil (SBQS e WAMPS). Procedimentos de codificação foram utilizados para identificar e categorizaros problemas relatados. Foram analisados 497 artigos e identificados 1152 códigos. Os códigos foram generalizados e organizados em 134 riscos associados a 34 categorias.
