The role of the media is determined by the irsocial purpose, which is primarily to inform and shape public opinion. The division of the pressa ccording to the nature of its audienceis one of the main criteria for classifying the media, where along with specialized publications for specialists in a particular field the reare newspaper sand magazines for non-specialists. As a rule, these editions publish professional information, trying to presentitin a formunderst and able to a person who does not have professiona knowledge in general and special terminology to satisfy his orher information needs to the maximum extent possible. We focused our attentionon the legal information and analytical newspaper for non-legal professionals – “Radnyk Starosty”, which presents legal information in an interesting and understandable form. An important step in the study of specialized publications that covered legal issues in various way sis to identify and analyze their thematic and typological specificity. The study of the socio-political conditions for the development of this type of specialized press, the peculiarities of the activities of editorial boards, and the problematic and the maticemp has is givesus an understanding of the marke needs intermsofin for mationrequestsandrequirements of society in the modern historical period, determines the necessary competencies of the author's team to create legal content demanded by the audience, and also reveals the possibilities of the existence of an original press that can not in any way be a Ukrainian analogue of an international corporation. The specialized press, which functioned and developed in independent Ukraine, is now gradually attracting the research attention of scholars. However, the corpus of legal publications belonging to the specialized press remainspoorly researched to day. Since the system of legislation of each country is unique and original, the impact of globalization processeson such publications is lesssignifi cant and is mostly manifested in the forms of information presentation and platforms on which they are placed, rather than in the content they produce. The specialized legal press for a narrowaudience – in this case, for non-legal professionals – has not been the subjec to fresearch by communication scholars in general, nor has the thematic and typological image of publications, in particular the news paper “Radnyk Starosty” (Kharkiv, 2016–2022), which was published for this readership, has been studied. Wedefine this audience, which the foundersof the news paper were focused on, by the concept of “non-specialists”, i.e. persons who do not have a professional legal education, but in connection with the tasks they perform must be sufficiently legally literate. The aim is to study the peculiarities of forming legal knowledgein a newspaper for non-specialists. The objectives are to summarize the experience of the editorial board of the publication “Radnyk Starosty” (2016–2022) in creating a model of a legal newspaper for non-specialists. Thematic and typological features of a number of periodical sareconsideredin the works of T. Davydchenko, V. Ivanov, M. Nedopytanskyi, T. Khitrova and other scholars. Most researchers point out that the main characteristics of the specialized press are the parameters of the problematic and thematic focus and the nature of the audience. T. Fisenko proposes a marketing approach to the distribution of such magazines. Researcher V. Shevchenko presents the components of the division of journals by readership, where she distinguishes publications for specialists, for a widerange of readers, and for certain groups of readers, but at the same time notes that journals of the same the maticfocus can be intended for both specialist sand a widerangeofreaders. The typology of specialized publications is discussed in detail in the monograph “Business Press of Ukraine” by L. Dudchenko, in which the author no test hat “the maincatalyst for the development of business media is the readershipanditsreadines stoperceive economic information”. The typological system of specialized medical press, which is based on two basic principles: the audience factor and the goals of communication activity, was proposed by V. Sadivnychyi.

<p>The aim of this paper is to analyze the use of the term “compliance”, considered one of the most popular topics in the legal-economic field in 2017 and 2018 in the Spanish press to determine whether there is a preference for its use in English, for its translation into Spanish or for both options. A corpus methodology has been used to study the frequency of use of the term in two generalist newspapers (El País and La Vanguardia) and two specialized ones (Expansión and El Economista), during the period between January 2017 and October 2018. The results show a preference for the use of the term in English, although this trend is accentuated in the specialized press in comparison with the general press. From a terminological perspective this analysis helps develop training and the profession of the translator since it is a contribution for the acquisition of the lexical competence necessary for professional translation.</p>

<p><strong><em>The purpose of the study</em></strong><em> is to identify and characterize the trends in the formation of functional, genre-thematic features of the Ukrainian book press «Friend of the Reader», published at the turn of XX–XXI centuries, and its promotional potential.</em></p><p><strong><em>Research methodology</em></strong><em>. The study used a set of methods, including: historical – to determine the nature of the transformation of the press as an object of study in Ukrainian journalism, to reconstruct the Ukrainian history of the formation of the press of this type (book press); contextual – to determine the influence of socio-political, cultural, market factors on the formation of the system of thematic and rubric complexes of the newspaper «Friend of the reader»; content analysis with elements of discursive analysis – to establish the interdependence between the typological characteristics and the rubrication organization of the press, their content; to outline and interpret an array of texts of different genres and different topics, on the basis of which the main trends in the formation of the then literary and publishing process and the book market in general are considered; comparative – for the analysis of the years of the book newspaper «Friend of the reader» of different years; descriptive-analytical – to identify the factors characteristic of the journalistic way of reflecting on the defining phenomena and processes of the then book market; system – to determine the place of the analyzed magazine in the system of book periodicals, book periodicals in the system of the then Ukrainian press in general, their role in forming the foundation for modern thematically specialized media.</em></p><p><strong><em>Results. </em></strong><em>Observations and conclusions presented in the scientific publication deepen the understanding of the principles of functioning of press mass media of book topics in Ukrainian society, can serve as a theoretical basis for studying the general picture of the formation of modern Ukrainian cultural periodicals. Of particular interest is the study of the newspaper «Reader’s Friend» in the context of not a specialized press, and a magazine designed for a wide range of readers with a specific thematic focus, with a focus on cultural and educational function.</em></p><p><em>The affiliation of the newspaper «Friend of the Reader» to the book press is substantiated (grounds: specialization in complex book topics as one of the areas of cultural and educational journalism; appeal to a wide readership (non-professionals and professionals) with a strong focus on a particular type of information product (bibliophiles).</em></p><p><strong><em>Novelty.</em></strong><em> In the article within the terminological system of journalism we introduce the concept of «book press» as a set of specialized print media (press releases), the defining criterion of specialization of which is chosen thematic focus, in contrast to common in journalism interpretation of «specialized press» as a professional field. «Book» means press releases (in particular, on the example of the newspaper «Friend of the Reader»), specializing in covering a wide range of issues related to the functioning of the book in society.</em></p><p><strong><em>Practical significance</em></strong><em>. The tendencies common for the outlined array of press releases are revealed: movement towards massification, as a result – expansion of readership, transition to pop format, combination of socio-communicative functions aimed at meeting the needs of different focus groups (information, literary, cultural, educational, relaxation); the intensification of advertising and promotional functions in the conditions of formation of the Ukrainian mass media market is indicated. The results of the study can be used for further research and in the educational process in the training of future journalists, advertisers, specialists in the field of social communications.</em></p><p><strong><em>Key words:</em></strong><em> book press, press media, professional magazine, cultural journalism, readership, target audience.</em></p>

The patients/clients and the skilled professionals’ beliefs and expectations about hypnosis, influence the decision to use this procedure as well as its effects. On the other hand, in the Internet there is plenty of information about hypnosis, which shapes opinions of public and professionals. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the quality of the information disseminated by non-specialized online press. 334 articles (from 2011 to 2012) and 200 articles (from 2018-2019) written in Spanish and published online in non-specialized publications press have been analyzed. Results show that, although a high number of articles demystify hypnosis, many of them disseminate myths as well. The highest percentage of articles that demystify hypnosis is associated with the press topic “Science and Culture”. Results indicate that myths are broadly present in the popular culture and are maintained with the support of their ongoing dissemination in the newspapers online articles. This supports the importance of fostering the dissemination of scientific available evidence about applied and basic research on hypnosis.

The image of Chinese women in selected Polish interwar press in the 1930s Among the interests of the pre-war press, both mass and specialized, was China. Most of the space was devoted to the inhabitants of the Middle Kingdom: “Ivy” and mass magazines, associated with the Ilustrowany Kurier Codzienny [Illustrated Daily Courier], whose readers were also usually female citizens of the Second Polish Republic: As [Ace] and Na Szerokim Świecie [In the Broad World]”. In the Polish press, Chinese women were presented either as mysterious women of exotic beauty, who used to have mysterious souls, victims of the patriarchal system, or emancipated women fighting for their rights in political, professional and social life. Mass magazines often focused primarily on both the external appearance and spirituality of the Chinese. However, while the inhabitants of the Middle Kingdom were described as beautiful and elegant women, their character was usually portrayed in a negative light. It was emphasized that many of them served as not only charming, but well-educated courtesans. Both mass magazines and the women’s press were alarmed that the situation of Chinese women was very severe and was due to their low position in society. As a significant example, they gave the habit of foot binding. The women’s press, however, further emphasized that the situation of Chinese women gradually improved thanks to feminist movements. And among the most important representative women’s press mentioned Meling Sung. Both Bluszcz [Ivy] and Ziemianka Polska [Polish Lady Landowner] placed more emphasis on the professional emancipation of citizens of the Middle Kingdom than on their fight against other manifestations of gender discrimination.

The studies of the specialized military-political publications of the 1920s usually consider only approaches to organizing the political and educational work of commanders with personnel. Filling the gap, this article focuses on the media educational approach to the analysis of print media that examines the activities of newspapers and magazines as a kind of media platform for the training of regional workers and village correspondents (rabsel'cors), and military correspondents (voencors).The article reveals the main methods of training military correspondents by the specialized magazine “Education and upbringing”. Voencors were supposed to participate in creating a mass press, perform information functions and be propagandists, agitators, and organizers of the movement of military correspondents.Based on the analysis of the journal publications the author identifies the main approaches to rabsel'cors and voencors’ training: the introduction of special headings that attracted the Red Army soldiers to read periodicals and create wall newspapers; recommendations for establishing connections between military correspondents and village correspondents; publication of articles by the main authors of the journal on the organization of wall newspapers; analysis of military correspondents’ publications; responses to letters from readers.As a result, the author comes to the conclusion that the military-political magazine “Education and upbringing” should be considered not only as a means of ideologically educating the serviceman of a new type but as a necessary guide for novice correspondents of specialized and universal media.

In the last twenty years the computer has become the main means of access to highly specialized knowledge and also a protected way of transmission of information in the field of science, technics, literature and arts. The process started by the computerization of librarian catalogues as well by linking of big publishers onto database as PASCAL. Publishers of specialized journals, of press, professional associations and publishing houses made their publications accessible on the computer network, they listed and created their own archives and also made possible the access to research centres, scientific and research workers, publishers and interested readers. In this research work we tried to look up the dictionaries of terms in the field of tourism industry, in French, in the electronic form. Nowadays, the dictionaries of terms can be found in Internet and they are accessible to a wide range of users because they are easily and quickly obtainable. We made a research of various dictionaries of terms in the field of tourism industry in French and the most interesting ones were described.

Problem and Aim. The system of Russian higher education provides opportunities for master’s degree studies in one direction for bachelors with different formed professional competencies, therefore, the task of overcoming the competence imbalance, development and alignment of competencies among all undergraduates is urgent for a university teacher. The purpose of the article is to identify the role of project activities in the formation of professional competencies among undergraduate students studying in the direction of “Pedagogical Education (Media Education)”. Methodology. The conducted content analysis of final qualification works revealed the main types of media projects developed and implemented by undergraduates: media projects related to the work of press centers of educational institutions and institutions of additional education; media projects aimed at organizing and conducting creative competitions, media festivals, specialized shifts; Internet projects, the use of multimedia in the educational process; creation of films, videos, media texts. With the help of a questionnaire survey of graduates, a high level of formation among masters of professional competencies in the use of multimedia tools in educational and extracurricular activities was revealed. In conclusion, it is concluded that in the development and implementation of media projects, undergraduates develop the necessary professional competencies both in the field of journalism and in the field of media pedagogy.

Architecture criticism of Soviet Lithuania has not been properly addressed in scientific research. The novelty of the work relates to the branch of architecture criticism as part of the history of arts, particularly in the context of the historiography of 20th- century modern architecture. This paper is to uncover the various forms of architectural criticism and its agents among the vocational and scientific publications aimed at other architects of the Lithuanian SSR. Using a systematic approach and qualitative research methods, a database of 100 critical articles is constructed. The phenomena of architecture criticism are explored using the theoretical framework of W. Attoe from his book “Architecture and Critical Imagination” (1978). The results of the research brought several understandings. Despite the common belief among professionals that architects should be predominantly the creators of architecture criticism, architects by profession make up only half or less of the total number of texts in the specialized press. The dominating types of architectural criticism are normative and descriptive (excluding the texts that would describe the context of an architectural idea or particular building). There are very few examples of interpretative criticism encountered (except in the thematic group of criticism around interior design). Further discussion of prevalent thematic groups led to the conclusion that architectural criticism in Soviet Lithuania alongside the official “politically allowed criticism” has been using disguised forms of texts. There has been an underlying narrative to promote modernist or simply, new architecture principles using photography with little to no text, indirect speech, and other forms of non-explicit communication. One of the wider goals of this paper is to initiate wider research into the subject of architectural criticism of Soviet Lithuania and also validate the existence of the neglected phenomena using the specific material of professional and academic architectural publications.

À partir de l’analyse d’une appropriation médiatique, la thèse interroge les (re)configurations symboliques de la presse professionnelle en communication. Il s’agit de voir dans quelle mesure un format médiatique (la « revue-livre ») peut contribuer aux redéfinitions d’un monde professionnel, par le travail de ses frontières. Pour ce faire, la thèse avance que la revue, média disciplinaire, institue les pratiques d’un monde socio-professionnel donné, ce qui ouvre la discussion sur le statut et la fonction de ce territoire spécialisé. Instance de lisibilité et de visibilité, cet espace informationnel doit pourtant se légitimer en continu, à l’instar de l’interprofession qu’il représente. L’emprunt au format actuel de la revue, source de désirabilités médiatiques, constitue alors une tentative de dépassement de cet amas tensif. Il permet de miser sur un flou autant fonctionnel que professionnel. Il permet aussi, dans la perspective d’une analyse concurrentielle au cœur de l’étude, d’occuper ou de maintenir une place. Le support et le format deviennent des outils de valorisation, des compensateurs de reconnaissance, des moteurs de distinction. En cela, la thèse étudie un lieu de fixation, parmi d’autres, d’une prétention communicationnelle. Le couple savoir-pouvoir sera transversal à cet écrit, car l’échappée observée est une opération tactique de prise de pouvoir symbolique, tant en direction des marges de la profession qu’en son sein. Based on the analysis of the appropriation of a media, this thesis questions the symbolic (re)configurations of professional magazines in communication. The objective is to analyze to what extent a media format (the “magazine-book”) contributes to the redefinition of a professional field by questioning its boundaries. To demonstrate that, the thesis asserts that the professional review institutes the practices of its socio-professional group, which opens the discussion on the status and function of this specialized territory. Agent of visibility, this informational space needs nonetheless to continuously legitimize itself. Using this current format of the review constitutes an attempt to overcome those tensions. It allows to leverage the vagueness of both this format function and communication professions. It also allows to establish and defend one’s positioning, as it is observed in the light of a competitive landscape analysis at the heart of the study. The support and the format become valorization tools, recognition substitutes and distinction drivers. From this perspective, this research studies an illustration, among others, of a communicational claim. The duet of knowledge and power will be transversal in this demonstration, because the observed escape is a tactical move to seize symbolic power, both in direction of the margins of the profession and its core. Ultimately, the focus of this thesis is to analyze the construction of intellectual devices, aiming at being legitimate and dominant representatives, by continuously redefining the professional and the communicational

The present work is part of the Language Toolkit project, born between the Chamber of Commerce of Romagna and the Department of Interpretation and Translation of Forlì. The collaboration for this work was organized with Rinieri S.r.l., a company which produces agricultural machineries, and the object of the thesis is the translation of their product catalogue from Italian into Russian. The work highlights the importance of translation for companies that decide to internationalize themselves. In particular, the thesis shows how professional translation turns out to be fundamental, as specialized texts often cause many difficulties during translation, which can only be solved by specialists who know in detail both the technical area of the texts and the translation strategies to tackle linguistic, stylistic and cultural difficulties. The work is composed of four chapters. The first one gives a framework of the company and an overview of the internationalization process, highlighting the different strategies that can be implemented by companies to be visible at an international level. The chapter also focuses on the importance of translating their written materials, since this process can bring to an increase in the level of export. The second chapter gives an overview of specialized languages, and of the tools used by specialized translators. The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the text and on the methodology used for its translation, and particular attention is given to the process of creation of a specialized corpus and to the terminological research. The last chapter is dedicated to the discussion of the translation strategies used to tackle the main problems that arouse from the linguistic and cultural differences between the source and the target text.

This work deals with the theoretical modelling of the vertical dynamics of the vehicle which has an additional level of suspension for a cargo platform with the nonlinear stiffness. The paper presents the design scheme of the additional level of cushioning having a quasi-zero stiffness in the equilibrium position. The mathematical model of the dynamic behavior of specialized vehicles is developed as a nonlinear discrete system. The results of numeric calculations of the vehicle dynamic response on the stochastic load is represented based on the developed model. Vertical vibrations of the cargo platform caused by the kinematics random influence applied to the axels of the vehicle are analyzed. The load is applied to the axels of the vehicle with a time delay. The results of the comparative analysis are displayed for the frequencies and amplitudes of the vehicle vertical vibrations within two different suspensions: in the linear and nonlinear statements.

This study focuses on the development of press freedom and professional journalism in Cameroon since the country's transition to democracy in the 1990s. More precisely, it examines how press freedom and professionalism have become formalized through processes of legislation and institutionalization. To realize this, this study uses a broad literature review and documentary analysis to gain an overview of the evolution of press freedom and the professionalization of journalism in Cameroon. It also incorporates survey, in-depth interviews and newsroom observation to gain additional insights into how Cameroonian journalists go about their daily routines and the extent to which they feel free and autonomous to do so, as well as to better understand both the relationship between the roles of individual journalists and the organizational and societal contexts in which they operate. I contend that it is only through blending the survey, interview and newsroom observation that we can have a broader picture of the gap between role perception and performance in journalism.The study draws from the political economy approach to inform its discussions. It argues that journalism is a socially constructed activity within a specific political, economic, legal and regulatory context. It also draws from the sociology of the professions to analyse the professionalization of journalism in Cameroon, the role perception theory to underpin the journalistic role perceptions of Cameroonian journalists and the role perception and performance gap theory to explain and understand the gap between the various roles Cameroonian journalists believe the media should fulfil and the extent to which they perform these roles in daily practice.The hierarchical news environment includes not only reporters but also editors and directors of news publications, whose job involves ensuring that information reaching the public is ethically sound. From within the Cameroonian newsrooms, the role of editors and directors of news publications as gatekeepers, commercial and economic pressures, the interests of owners may undermine the efforts of journalists in performing their roles in actual practice. From outside the news organization, state interference in the media, the use of repressive press laws, sources, advertisers, political elites and the prevalence of gombo may limit the freedom and autonomy of journalists to live up to their ideals. When combined, these factors are likely to create a gap between journalists' ideals and practice.

As the number of coronavirus cases increased globally, governments started to introduce restrictive measures which many individuals had never experienced before. Heads of state started to use expressions referring to ‘war’, encouraging citizens to help the ‘fight’ against the ‘invisible enemy’. In the cognitive linguist approach, metaphors are believed to involve the ‘thinking’ as well as the ‘talking’ (or writing) of one thing in terms of another. That is, similarities (or correspondences) are perceived between two different ‘domains’ such as ‘covid-19’ and ‘war’. Therefore, ‘fighting the disease’ can be ‘translated’ into ‘reducing infection, illness and death’. This dissertation aims to identify metaphorical expressions, and the associated conceptual mappings, in the coronavirus media discourse of three countries – Italy, France, and the United Kingdom – over the period of the ‘first wave’. If metaphorical expressions can highlight how we ‘think’ about an event, it is interesting to investigate if all three countries are ‘thinking’ about the novel coronavirus in the same terms. In order to tackle this question, this dissertation has five chapters. First, the cognitive linguistic approach to metaphors is discussed, focusing on Conceptual Metaphor Theory (CMT). In chapter two we turn to the corpus linguistic approach and its application to metaphor research. On the basis of this theoretical background, chapter three introduces the methodology employed for this study. Chapter four presents the main results for English, French and Italian. In particular, this study found that the coronavirus is conceptualised as WAR, SUBSTANCE IN MOVEMENT, SUBSTANCE IN A CONTAINER, and OBSTACLE in all three language corpora, while WATER, FAMILY and POSSESSION are unique to the French, Italian and English samples, respectively. Finally, chapter five discusses the findings and the limitations of this study, closing with possible directions for future research.

This study investigates press freedom in the political context of Zambia by looking at The Post, a daily tabloid that operates in the country. It involves in-depth interviews with tabloid journalists working or having worked with the tabloid mainly in the area of reporting politics. It involves a literature review in the broader subject area and notes that, even though press freedom is the life blood of any democratic society which needs to be enhanced, there are other complexities that hinder its realisation, including ownership interests, tabloid journalists’ predilections, advertisers’ influence, political authorities’ expectations, and readers’ social and economic positions. In addition, despite the general public’s expectations and the press’s ardent quest for press freedom, the conception and understanding of press freedom in democracy is far from straight forward. The research found that The Post was incapable of contributing effectively to the maturity of democracy. Its level of credibility as a tabloid was compromised by joining ranks with ruling politicians. Its traditional watchdog role of exposing political and social elites to public accountability was also suppressed due to political partnership. In addition, citizens needed to consider seriously online journalism as it provided information at the expense of The Post which was no longer vocal in these domains. Government too needed to provide favorable mechanisms to enhance online publishing as it was beneficial to the promotion and protection of democracy. Furthermore, the Press Association of Zambia and the Media Institute of Southern Africa needed to be more critical of government operations towards the press and needed to intensify their role in providing checks and balance on journalists to uphold their professional values. Overall thesis contribution to knowledge derives from its critical examination of this under examined area of the role of tabloid journalism in emerging democracies. It adds detailed knowledge on the professional practice of tabloid journalism in Zambia as an exemplar of the political role of tabloid media in a developing democracy.

The purpose of this paper is to report about the impact of Ansbach University of Applied Sciences’ specialized mini campuses on their surrounding rural lower density regions by considering theoretical regional innovation models, spatial planning concepts as well as Ansbach University’s mission(s). The approach we use is pragmatic due to the author’s scientific publications and the author’s professional experience. For that, newer scientific publication to the key words mentioned below are used for an interdisciplinary line of sight, and press releases and internal data provided are qualitatively evaluated for this study’s practical part. Our study reveals that Ansbach University’s pragmatic local strategy of appropriately placing specialized mini campuses in rural outskirts has remarkable impact on the innovation processes in the lower density region over time. Our mini campuses follow a clear local Triple Helix (TH) innovation strategy by University-Industry-Municipality cooperations, meanwhile tending to focus also quadruple and quintuple helix stakeholder groups. Besides showcasing local innovation processes triggered by our mini campuses the paper thematises rural-urban interaction scenarios due to the threat of shrinking peripheral areas in metropolitan regions. This case study supports policy makers and regional or local deciders by offering ingredients for the set up of local strategies. For universities in low-density areas the paper can be of value for counteracting a brain-drain to metropolitan centers, thus contributing spatially to equal life conditions by giving modern living, studying, researching and working as well as recreating an attractive local country-side accent.

This article aims to unpack the term ‘professional digital competence’ and similar notions in language teacher education, to explore the existing Digital Competence Frameworks and their constituents. We also targeted to identify the most relevant findings in terms of digital competence of university language teachers through the analysis of scientific production in specialized literatures in the last decade (2012-2022). A search was carried out on Scopus database. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the sample was made up of 11 articles. The main findings helped to reveal the list of aspects investigated in terms of technology enhanced-foreign language teaching.

The role of the preparation is to ensure the optimal development of handball specific motor skills and effort capacity - it is the foundation to increase the performance capacity. The sports training components are present in all stages of sports training with different shares depending on the objectives. A good physical training provides the motrical support for efficient execution of technical content, which in turn is necessary for the realization of the tactical actions. Psychological and theoretical components, along with other components, provide training valorization to successfully participate in competitions. The purpose of this research is to identify the role of specialized software in monitoring the sport preparation to lead to optimizing sport training for junior handball players with consequences of increasing / improving sports performance. The experimental investigation involved the use of specific research methods like the study of literature, observation, tests and control samples, experiment, statistical and mathematical analysis and interpretation of data, graphics. In conducting this research there have been used the following control tests that were applied to the subjects of the two groups by the Myotest device and analyzed after with Myotest PRO software. The control tests were designed to highlight the specific indicators of the preparation for the handball game: bench press, half squat, jump-pliometry, countermovement jump, squat jump, bench press profile, half squat profile. These control tests were applied three times during the research (initial test, intermediate test, final test). The average progress for experimental group was 16.88% (min. - 3.66%, max. - 17.99%) and for control group - 8.17% (min. - 1.73%, max. - 12.5%). After applying Student test for experimental group the values were between 4.19 and 9.19 (p<0.01) and for control group between 2.93 and 4.27 (p<0.01). The research has great practical significance in preparing junior handball players, by using electronic device and specialized software, being useful for handball coaches and teachers working at this level, due to the results of the experiment implementation. The purpose was to ensure the premises achieving effective training in order to meet the training objectives and the performance targets.

A vast array of manufactured articles containing metal components utilize power press methods in their production. The common aspect of these methods is the use of specialized dies and the mechanical energy of the press machine to impart the required finished shape with a minimum of time and material loss. The innovation of power press metal forming methods in conjunction with advances in sheet rolling technology can be credited with a significant portion of the United States economic growth from manufacturing between 1890 and 1940. Of the many variations of power press metal forming processes that now exist, sheet stamping is found to be the most significant to the economic development of the U.S. as a synergetic partner of the new automobile industry. Data from the 1929 Census of Manufactures is used to generate a Social Savings metric which estimates the effect of the use of sheet stamping in terms productivity gained. The estimated Social Savings of this very small sector of manufacturing represents a tenth of one percent of the total Value Added by all U.S. industries in 1929.

Analysis of the standards for the preparation of electromechanics in Ukraine showed that the electromechanic engineer is able to solve complex specialized problems and practical problems in a certain area of professional activity or in the process of study. These problems are characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions. The main competencies include social-personal, general-scientific, instrumental, general-professional and specialized-professional. A review of scientific publications devoted to the training of electromechanics has shown that four branches of engineering are involved in the training of electromechanical engineers: mechanical and electrical engineering (with a common core of electromechanics), electronic engineering and automation. The common use of the theory, methods and means of these industries leads to the emergence of a combined field of engineering – mechatronics. Summarizing the experience of electrical engineers professional training in Ukraine and abroad makes it possible to determine the main directions of their professional training modernization.

The article contains research on use of open and specialized geoinformation systems to prepare students and postgraduates on specialties: 101 “Environmental Sciences”, 103 “Earth Sciences”, 122 “Computer Sciences”, 183 “Environmental Technologies”. Analysis of the most common world open geoinformation systems is done. Experience of geoinformation systems use for students and postgraduates teaching for different specialties is described. Predominant orientation towards the use of geoinformation systems in educational process is determined based on the analysis of scientific publications and curricula of the most popular Ukrainian universities. According to the authors the material that is given narrows knowledge and skills of students and postgraduates, particularly in computer modeling. It is concluded that ability of students and postgraduates to use geoinformation systems is interdisciplinary. In particular, it develops knowledge and skills in computer modeling of various processes that may arise in the further professional activity. Examples of professional issues and ways to solve them using geoinformation systems are given. Recommendations are given on the use of open and specialized geoinformation systems in the educational process. It is recommended to use both proprietary (ArcGis, MapInfo) and open GIS (uDIG, QGIS, Whitebox GAT) to teach students. Open GIS (uDIG, QGIS, Whitebox GAT) and specialized (Modular GIS Environment, GEO + CAD, GeoniCS, AISEEM) can be used to teach both students and postgraduates.

In the article investigational three magazines which went out after Second World war in Germany and Austria in the environment of the Ukrainian emigrants, is «Theater» (edition of association of artists of the Ukrainian stage), «Student flag» (a magazine of the Ukrainian academic young people is in Austria), «Young friends» (a plastoviy magazine is for senior children and youth). The thematic structure of magazines, which is inferior the association of different on age, is considered, by vital experience and professional orientation of people in the conditions of the forced emigration, paid regard to graphic registration of magazines, which, without regard to absence of the proper publisher-polydiene bases, marked structuralness and expressiveness. A repertoire of periodicals of Ukrainian migration is in the American, English and French areas of occupation of Germany and Austria after Second world war, which consists of 200 names, strikes the tipologichnoy vseokhopnistyu and testifies to the high intellectual level of the moved persons, desire of yaknaynovishe, to realize the considerable potential in new terms with hope on transference of the purchased experience to Ukraine. On ruins of Europe for two-three years the network of the press, which could be proud of the European state is separately taken, is created. Different was a period of their appearance: from odnogo-dvokh there are to a few hundred numbers, that it is related to intensive migration of Ukrainians to the USA, Canada, countries of South America, Australia. But indisputable is a fact of forming of conceptions of newspapers and magazines, which it follows to study, doslidzhuvati and adjust them to present Ukrainian realities. Here not superfluous will be an example of a few editions on the thematic range of which the names – «Plastun» specify, «Skob», «Mali druzi», «Sonechko», «Yunackiy shliah», «Iyzhak», «Lys Mykyta» (satire, humour), «Literaturna gazeta», «Ukraina і svit», «Ridne slovo», «Hrystyianskyi shliah», «Golos derzhavnyka», «Ukrainskyi samostiynyk», «Gart», «Zmag» (sport), «Litopys politviaznia», «Ukrains’ka shkola», «Torgivlia i promysel», «Gospodars’ko-kooperatyvne zhyttia», «Ukrainskyi gospodar», «Ukrainskyi esperantist», «Radiotehnik», «Politviazen’», «Ukrainskyi selianyn» Considering three riznovektorni magazines «Teatr» (edition of Association Mistciv the Ukrainian Stage), «Studentskyi prapor» (a magazine of the Ukrainian academic young people is in Austria), «Yuni druzi» (a plastoviy magazine is for senior children and youth) assert that maintenance all three magazines directed on creation of different on age and by the professional orientation of national associations for achievement of the unique purpose – cherishing and maintainance of environments of ukrainstva, identity, in the conditions of strange land. Without regard to unfavorable publisher-polydiene possibilities, absence of financial support and proper encouragement, release, followed the intensive necessity of concentration of efforts for achievement of primary purpose – receipt and re-erecting of the Ukrainian State.

The aim of the article is to provide an analytical review of the content of massive open online courses about augmented reality and its use in education with the further intent to create a special course for the professional development system for the research and teaching personnel in postgraduate education. The object of research is massive open online courses. The subject of the study is the structure and content of augmented reality MOOCs which are offered by acclaimed providers of the world. The methods of research are: the analysis of publications on the problem; the analysis of MOOCs’ content, including observation; systematization and generalization of research information in order to design a special course about augmented reality for the system of professional training and retraining for educators in postgraduate education. The results of the research are the following: the content and program of specialized course “Augmented Reality as a Storytelling Tool” for the professional development of teachers. The purpose of the specialized course is to consider and discuss the possibilities of augmented reality as a new direction in the development of educational resources, to identify its benefits and constraints, as well as its components and the most appropriate tools for educators, to discuss the problems of teacher and student co-creation on the basis of the use of augmented reality, and to provide students with personal experience in designing their own stories and methodical tools in the form of augmented books and supplementary training aids with the help of modern digital services.

The subject of the study is the cooperation of S. Efremov with Western Ukrainian periodicals as a page in the history of Ukrainian journalism which covers the relationship of journalists and scientists of Eastern and Western Ukraine at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. Research methods (biographical, historical, comparative, axiological, statistical, discursive) develop the comprehensive disclosure of the article. As a result of scientific research, the origins of Ukrainocentrism in the personality of S. Efremov were clarified; his person as a public figure, journalist, publisher, literary critic is multifaceted; taking into account the specifics of the memoir genre and with the involvement of the historical context, the turning points in the destiny of the author of memoirs are interpreted, revealing cooperation with Western Ukrainian magazines and newspapers. The publications ‘Zoria’, ‘Narod’, ‘Pravda’, ‘Bukovyna’, ‘Dzvinok’, are secretly got into sub-Russian Ukraine, became for S. Efremov a spiritual basis in understanding the specifics of the national (Ukrainian) mass media, ideas of education in culture of Ukraine at the end of XIX century, its territorial integrity, and state independence. Memoirs of S. Efremov on cooperation with the iconic Galician journals ‘Notes of the Scientific Society after the name Shevchenko’ and ‘Literary-Scientific Bulletin’, testify to an important stage in the formation of the author’s worldview, the expansion of the genre boundaries of his journalism, active development as a literary critic. S. Yefremov collaborated most fruitfully and for a long time with the Literary-Scientific Bulletin, and he was impressed by the democratic position of this publication. The author’s comments reveal a long-running controversy over the publication of a review of the new edition of Kobzar and thematically related discussions around his other literary criticism, in which the talent of the demanding critic was forged. S. Efremov steadfastly defended the main principles of literary criticism: objectivity and freedom of author’s thought. The names of the allies of the Ukrainian idea L. Skochkovskyi, O. Lototskyi, O. Konyskyi, P. Zhytskyi, M. Hrushevskyi in S. Efremov’s memoirs unfold in multifaceted portrait descriptions and function as historical and cultural facts that document the pages of the author’s biography, record his activities in space and time. The results of the study give grounds to characterize S. Efremov as the first professional Ukrainian-speaking journalist.

At present the information and communication technologies in education can be a catalyst in solving important social problems connected with increasing the educational resources and services availability and quality, real and equal opportunities in getting education for citizens despite their residence, social status and income. One of the most important education tasks is to develop students’ active cognitive attitude to knowledge. Cognitive activity in universities is a necessary stage in preparing for further professional life. The solution of task of formation of ecological competence of mining profile engineer requires the reasonable selection of the means of information and communication technologies conducing formation of ecological competence. Pressing task is constructive and research approach to preparation of future engineers to performance of professional duties in order to make them capable to develop engineering projects independently and exercise control competently. The relevance of the material covered in the article, due to the need to ensure the effectiveness of the educational process in the preparation of the future Mining Engineers. We analyze the source with problems of formation of ecological competence. The article focuses mainly general-purpose computer system support learning Moodle, which allows you to organize individual and collective work of students to master the specialized course teaching material used in teaching special course "Environmental Geoinformatics" in the implementation of educational research.

The modular workshop offers a science-based introduction to the concept of social-emotional competences. It focuses on the psychological assessment of such competences in in institutions specialized in the professional development of people with learning disabilities. As such, the workshop is primarily to be understood as an application-oriented training programme for professionals who work in vocational education and use (or teach the usage of) the assessment tools SEC-I and SEC-SJT (Inventory and Situational Judgment Test for the assessment of social-emotional competence in young people with (sub-) clinical cognitive or psychological impairment) which were developed at the University of Bamberg. The workshop comprises seven subject areas that can be flexibly put together as required: theoretical basics and definitions of social-emotional competence, the basics of psychological assessment, potential difficulties in its use, usage of the self-rating scale, the situational judgment test, the observer-rating scale, and objective observation of behaviour. The general aim of this workshop is to learn how to use and apply the assessment tools in practical settings.

Pedagogical modeling of modern educational environments remains an urgent task of educational sciences. Research on the formation and development of digital competence of specialists, although they have common features, differ and acquire characteristic features depending on the field of application. This is due to the focus on mastering specific professional skills and increasing the professional level. We found out that, compared to the social and humanitarian sphere and medicine, the development of digital competence of specialists in the military and defense industry is little discussed in scientific sources. The development of digital competence of military personnel, in particular military management officers, is an urgent problem that requires an immediate solution. On the one hand, the armed aggression of the Russian Federation adds to the criticality of the situation, on the other hand, scientific and technical progress and, as a result, the appearance of new types of weapons and the complexity of digital tools in the environments of military specialists. Scientific approaches and conceptual principles regarding the formation of digital competence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO member countries are described. Problems, contradictions and trends in the development of digital education of military specialists in the system of professional development are singled out. The article clarifies the concept of “digital competence of military command officers” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The authors developed and substantiated a theoretical model of a computer-oriented methodical system for the development of digital competence of officers of the military administration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the system of professional development, which is presented in an informative scheme with a description of individual modules combined into conceptual, target, content-methodical, procedural, technological and effective blocks. The built model ensures systematicity and consistency of the educational process in the digital educational environment of higher military education institutions for the development of digital competencies of military management officers. The technological unit contains a variety of software for training and training. In particular, specialized computer programs and multimedia guides. In the content-methodical block, among other things, the following modules are presented: cloud services; information-didactic and educational-methodical learning tools, multimedia objects, VR/AR tools, AI elements that allow selection of existing ones or creation of new learning materials; Training Course; diagnostic tools, etc. The prospect is the verification of the developed model during distance training.

Augmented reality is one of the most modern information visualization technologies. Number of scientific studies on different aspects of augmented reality technology development and application is analyzed in the research. Practical examples of augmented reality technologies for various industries are described. Very often augmented reality technologies are used for: social interaction (communication, entertainment and games); education; tourism; areas of purchase/sale and presentation. There are various scientific and mass events in Ukraine, as well as specialized training to promote augmented reality technologies. There are following results of the research: main benefits that educational institutions would receive from introduction of augmented reality technology are highlighted; it is determined that application of augmented reality technologies in education would contribute to these technologies development and therefore need increase for specialists in the augmented reality; growth of students' professional level due to application of augmented reality technologies is proved; adaptation features of augmented reality technologies in learning disciplines for students of different educational institutions are outlined; it is advisable to apply integrated approach in the process of preparing future professionals of new technological era; application of augmented reality technologies increases motivation to learn, increases level of information assimilation due to the variety and interactivity of its visual representation. Main difficulties of application of augmented reality technologies are financial, professional and methodical. Following factors are necessary for introduction of augmented reality technologies: state support for such projects and state procurement for development of augmented reality technologies; conduction of scientific research and experimental confirmation of effectiveness and pedagogical expediency of augmented reality technologies application for training of specialists of different specialties; systematic conduction of number of national and international events on dissemination and application of augmented reality technology. It is confirmed that application of augmented reality technologies is appropriate for training of future specialists of new technological era.

An analysis of the experience of professional training bachelors of electromechanics in Ukraine and abroad made it possible to determine that one of the leading trends in its modernization is the synergistic integration of various engineering branches (mechanical, electrical, electronic engineering and automation) in mechatronics for the purpose of design, manufacture, operation and maintenance electromechanical equipment. Teaching mechatronics provides for the meaningful integration of various disciplines of professional and practical training bachelors of electromechanics based on the concept of modeling and technological integration of various organizational forms and teaching methods based on the concept of mobility. Within this approach, the leading learning tools of bachelors of electromechanics are mobile Internet devices (MID) – a multimedia mobile devices that provide wireless access to information and communication Internet services for collecting, organizing, storing, processing, transmitting, presenting all kinds of messages and data. The authors reveals the main possibilities of using MID in learning to ensure equal access to education, personalized learning, instant feedback and evaluating learning outcomes, mobile learning, productive use of time spent in classrooms, creating mobile learning communities, support situated learning, development of continuous seamless learning, ensuring the gap between formal and informal learning, minimize educational disruption in conflict and disaster areas, assist learners with disabilities, improve the quality of the communication and the management of institution, and maximize the cost-efficiency. Bachelor of electromechanics competency in modeling of technical objects is a personal and vocational ability, which includes a system of knowledge, skills, experience in learning and research activities on modeling mechatronic systems and a positive value attitude towards it; bachelor of electromechanics should be ready and able to use methods and software/hardware modeling tools for processes analyzes, systems synthesis, evaluating their reliability and effectiveness for solving practical problems in professional field. The competency structure of the bachelor of electromechanics in the modeling of technical objects is reflected in three groups of competencies: general scientific, general professional and specialized professional. The implementation of the technique of using MID in learning bachelors of electromechanics in modeling of technical objects is the appropriate methodic of using, the component of which is partial methods for using MID in the formation of the general scientific component of the bachelor of electromechanics competency in modeling of technical objects, are disclosed by example academic disciplines “Higher mathematics”, “Computers and programming”, “Engineering mechanics”, “Electrical machines”. The leading tools of formation of the general scientific component of bachelor in electromechanics competency in modeling of technical objects are augmented reality mobile tools (to visualize the objects’ structure and modeling results), mobile computer mathematical systems (universal tools used at all stages of modeling learning), cloud based spreadsheets (as modeling tools) and text editors (to make the program description of model), mobile computer-aided design systems (to create and view the physical properties of models of technical objects) and mobile communication tools (to organize a joint activity in modeling).
