The purpose of this thesis in management science is to assess the role of Information Systems in triggering and propagating the kind of problems faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in the food industry in France. The thesis will explore the relationship between misalignments in the uses of Information Systems and the difficulties with which SMEs are often confronted. The field of research is composed, on the one hand, of company surveys, used to elaborate a composite performance indicator, and on the other, the 2006 COI-TIC survey, from which four sets of indicators concerning the uses of Information Systems were extrapolated.Applying a comprehensive approach, the thesis defines the impact of the misalignment of Information Systems on performance dynamics. It also highlights, notably, the importance for SMEs in the food industry of IT coordination between companies and between those companies and their stakeholders, and examines the central role of changes involving IT projects. Lastly, regardless of their performances, companies face major difficulties in appropriating uses of Information Systems

The transport sector is one of the sectors that accounts for a large proportion of emissions. The transport sector accounts for about one third of Sweden's greenhouse gas emissions. To reduce this figure, several municipal and private initiatives have been started. One of them is the company in question with which this work has been written. The main purpose of our work was to produce actual data in the form of a simulation in order to prove that this private initiative was actually a greener alternative, and to be able to convey this in a good and methodical way for the user via a prototype. The simulation is done on older data from the company on actual transports. The prototype is an interactive tool for the user to see what effects their intended actions can bring. With this prototype, can users now be more willing to use the service? And are they prepared to pay more when they see what effects it would give? This was tested in the form of a user survey. This meant that the user was first asked about why they would like to use this form of service and what sums they were prepared to pay for a specific transport. Then they sat down and tested the prototype and entered various transports and goods to transport then saw what effects they had. Then they were asked what they thought of the prototype and the information they received, and what motivations they had to use the service or similar services. Lastly they were asked what amounts they were prepared to pay for this form of service. What the results show is that the simulation resulted in the collective transportation of goods being considerably much better with respect to Co2 emissions, than if it were to be transported by itself. In addition to this, the prototype in collaboration with the user survey showed that end users liked the design of the prototype and that the message that was conveyed, ie which reduced Co2 emissions could be done. This ended with the users' motivations for using this or similar services were similar to before, but this turn Co2 jumped up to one of the leading reasons, even when it wasn't a motivation at all before when they stated before they tested the prototype. As well as they were now willing to pay up to 21% higher amount for these types of services, justifying that it would be good for the environment.

ABSTRACT - SURGICAL INCISIONAL WITH SCALPEL TECHNIQUE VERSUS CO2 LASER: COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HEALING PROCESS - The main advantages of the CO2 laser surgery are lesser pain, lesser bleeding, lesser probability of infections, lesser post-surgical swelling and discomfort, giving the patient the ability to restart his normal activities earlier with lesser surgical time and a cleaner surgical field. It was first used in Human Medicine and then adapted to Veterinary Medicine, but it's still in the developmental process. The current study has been developed on a sample of 14 animals (n = 14) of the canine species, with 10 females (71,5%) and 4 males (28,65%), medium age of 3,8 years old, with a minimum of 6 months and maximum of 9 which were subjected to ovariohysterectomy (OVH) and neutering. They were split in 2 groups: N1= use of a scalpel and N2 = use of CO2 laser, with 7 animals on each group. All the animals received the same pre-surgical protocol form of amoxicillin and meloxicam, acepromazine and tramadol. Anesthesia was induced with propofol and maintained with isoflurane. The aim of this study is to analyze the advantages of using CO2 laser instead of the scalpel in a surgical section. The evaluated parameters were 1) Complementary exams: measures of the number of white blood cells (WBC) (T0, T1 and T2), albumin and total protein (T1 and T2); 2) evaluation on the incised region, regarding inflammation like redness, edema, exudate (T1 and T2), thickness of the sectioned region (T1 and T2) and cosmetic scarring (T3), with T0 = before section, T1 = 24h after section, T2 = 8 days after the cut and T3 = 30 days after section. The results suggested that there wasn’t any statistic difference between groups in N1 and N2 regarding albumin (p = 0,87), concerning PTT (p = 0,53) and thickness (p = 0,87) and in T2 (p = 0,73). Concerning pain, we see there was a difference between groups N1 and N2 in T1 (p = 0,001) with augmented pain in N1. There wasn’t presence of pain in T2 on both groups. Regarding the WBC no difference was noted between N1 and N2 in T1 (p = 0,90) but it was registered a difference in T2 (p = 0,001) with augmented WBC in N2.
