Covid-19 has meant that important societal functions such as high schools have been affected and have needed to adapt from traditional teaching to distance education. The reason why this study is needed is the lack of research and knowledge about how Swedish high school teachers and the school management has been affected by covid-19. The purpose of this study is to investigate the high school teachers psychosocial work environment in distance education during covid-19 and the school management’s role and significance for the teachers work environment. The main questions in this study are to investigate how high school teachers have experienced their psychosocial work environment, which effects the psychosocial work environment has had on their wellbeing and which role the school management has had in the teachers work environment. This study applies theories from Rubenowitz “five requirements for a good psychosocial work environment”, KASAM and Demand-Control-Support Model. The study is based on 15 interviews where the results have been analyzed using a Thematic Analysis Method. The results show that the high school teachers experience a positive psychosocial work environment due to the good relationship with the school management. One important part of the result is the influence and autonomy the teachers have in their daily work. The disadvantages in the teacher’s psychosocial work environment are related to the reduced social contact with both colleagues and students. An important observation in the results show the teachers wellbeing have been affected negatively due to the reduced student contact. The results shows also that the school management have had to be available, flexible and have needed to provide support to the teachers since distance work has had a negative effect on their social contact.

Bakgrund: Under de senaste decennierna har det i svensk primärvård varit omfattande omorganisationer, vilket har påverkat arbetstidens innehåll. Arbetssituationen är komplex och omfattningen av administration har ökat. Det övergripande syftet med föreliggande studie var att beskriva arbetstidens innehåll bland personal i svensk primärvård och att undersöka samband mellan upplevd psykosocial arbetsmiljö och arbetsuppgifternas legitimitet. Metod: Studien har genomförts som en deskriptiv multicenterstudie med tvärsnittsdesign och inkluderade sjuksköterskor, läkare, vårdadministratörer, undersköterskor och övriga professioner (fysioterapeuter, arbetsterapeuter, psykologer, kuratorer, dietister och fotvårdsspecialister) vid elva vårdcentraler i sydöstra Sverige. Studien inleddes med att deltagarna ombads att besvara ett frågeformulär vars första del bestod av en skattning av hur arbetsuppgifterna var fördelade. Frågeformuläret innehöll också frågor om illegitima arbetsuppgifter; Bern Illegitimate Tasks Scale (BITS) och psykosocial arbetsmiljö; Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (COPSOQ). Därefter gjordes en tidsstudie där deltagarna fick registrera tidsåtgången för olika arbetsuppgifter, varje dag under två separata veckor. Arbetsuppgifterna delades upp i tre huvudkategorier; direkt patientarbete, indirekt patientarbete och övrigt arbete. Varje huvudkategori hade flera underkategorier. Svarsfrekvensen var 75% för frågeformuläret och 79% för tidsstudien. Resultat: Resultatet från delarbete I visar att personal i primärvård ägnade 37% av arbetstiden direkt med patienter. Alla professioner skattade den direkta patienttiden till större andel än vad tidsstudien visade. Läkare upplevde sämst psykosocial arbetsmiljö avseende kvantitativa krav, stress och rollkonflikter. Det förelåg ett samband mellan andelen administrativa arbetsuppgifter och rollkonflikter, ju mer administration desto mer rollkonflikter. I delstudie II visade resultatet att mer än en fjärdedel av läkarna upplevde en hög nivå av illegitima arbetsuppgifter avseende onödiga arbetsuppgifter, vilket var signifikant mer jämfört med andra professioner. För personalgruppen som helhet framträdde ett samband mellan upplevelsen av att ha mycket illegitima arbetsuppgifter och upplevelse av negativ psykosocial arbetsmiljö samt med hög andel administrationsrelaterade arbetsuppgifter. Konklusion: Personal i primärvård ägnar en begränsad andel av arbetstiden åt direkt patientarbete och läkare upplever sämre psykosocial arbetsmiljö än övriga professioner. Arbetstidens fördelning mellan olika arbetsuppgifter påverkar den psykosociala arbetsmiljön. Upplevelsen av att utföra en stor andel illegitima arbetsuppgifter påverkar den psykosociala arbetsmiljön negativt, vilket kan ha inverkan på hur personalen uppfattar sin professionella roll. Upplevelsen av att ha mycket oskäliga arbetsuppgifter har samband med hög andel icke patientrelaterad administration. Avhandlingen belyser vikten av att beslutsfattare noga överväger fördelningen av icke patientrelaterade arbetsuppgifter bland personal i primärvård, för att möjliggöra effektiv användning av personalresurserna och för att främja goda arbetsförhållanden. Förhoppningen är också att studiens resultat ska bidra till fortsatt utveckling av primärvården så att den medicinska kompetensen kommer patienterna till nytta i så stor omfattning som möjligt.

Arbetsmiljö är ”summan” av både fysiska, sociala och psykiska upplevelser som en arbetstagare möter i arbetslivet. Dessa upplevelser skapas eller formas av olika faktorer som arbetstagaren dagligen möter på sin arbetsplats. Då psykosocial arbetsmiljö idag är en relevant och aktuell fråga är uppsatsen inriktad på detta ämnesområde.
I uppsatsen framställs den psykosociala arbetsmiljörätten ur tre olika perspektiv - rättsdogmatiskt, historiskt och empiriskt. Det rättsdogmatiska perspektivet är grunden för uppsatsen då det undersöks hur den psykosociala arbetsmiljön regleras i arbetsmiljölagstiftningen, samt vilket ansvar arbetsgivare respektive arbetstagare har gentemot den psykosociala arbetsmiljön. Den psykosociala arbetsmiljön och arbetsgivarna respektive arbetstagarnas ansvar regleras i Arbetsmiljölagen (1977:1160), i det följande AML, 3 kapitlet 1a, 2, 2a, 3 och 4 §§ samt föreskriften Systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete (AFS 2001:1), i det följande SAM. Arbetsgivaren har tillsammans med arbetstagarna en skyldighet att samverka för att främja den psykosociala arbetsmiljön. Arbetsgivaren har dock huvudansvaret att vidta alla åtgärder som krävs för att uppnå detta, bland annat att systematiskt genomföra undersökningar och riskbedömningar som beaktar de psykosociala aspekterna på arbetsplatsen. Arbetsgivaren ska dessutom tillgodose arbetstagarna med introduktion, instruktion och vid behov aktuell utbildning, allt för att arbetstagarna ska kunna vara aktiv i arbetsmiljöarbetet.
Som komplement till den rättsdogmatiska undersökningen utfördes en empirisk undersökning i form av två kvantitativa studier. Där undersöktes hur arbetstagarna upplevde den psykosociala arbetsmiljön på arbetsplatsen. Det framgick inga alarmerande resultat som krävde någon större redovisning.
Det psykosociala arbetsmiljöarbetet kan vara kostsamt samtidigt som det kan vara en framtida investering som i slutändan kan ge arbetsgivaren friska och mer tillfredsställda arbetstagare. Om kraft och energi läggs ned på goda arbetsförhållanden kan detta öka både trivseln och intresset hos arbetstagarna, som i sin tur ger resultat av en bättre ekonomi för verksamheten och därmed en attraktivare arbetsgivare.

The social services is an area that studies suggest are notably problematic when exploring the psychosocial work environment, work-related illnesses and employee turnover. In light of the complex and comprehensive operational strategy of the social services questions might be raised over the ability of municipalities to achieve a suitable, and functional, psychosocial work environment. In producing this paper, twelve key employees have been interviewed from the same social service centre. The methodology for analysis of interviews has been through ‘content analysis’ with a latent focus. There are several conclusions to be drawn. Results show that the recommendations from previous studies on improving the working conditions of social service workers have, to date, not been given their full legitimacy on an organisational level. Corrective interventions have primarily been directed both towards the organisation and the interaction between the organisation and the individual. Analysis also indicates that the understanding of the relationship between the operational strategy and the psychosocial work environment still needs to be developed. Finally, this paper shows that further research on the relationship between the operational strategy in the social services and the psychosocial work environment is still required, including research on the dialogue between the municipalities and the governmental superstructure.

The purpose of this study is to describe how a systematic work environmental management can be conducted effectively to contribute to a good work environment. Prior research enhances the importance of leadership and the necessity of involving the co-workers in the work environmental management. Research also shows that the hard and technical parts are often prioritized before the psychosocial part. The empirical material was gathered through a mixed method consisting of interviews of a focus group and a survey on a corporation in Sweden. The result shows that respondents raise several different parts as important in order to conduct effective systematic work environmental management. The study gave the conclusions that systematic work environmental management can be conducted effectively if there is a thought-through plan and commitment where all parts of the work environment are covered and taken with importance. It has been shown that the psychosocial work environment is more difficult to treat than the physical environment. Leadership is a part that has shown to be of importance on how the work environmental management will succeed and that the economic aspect is regarded as important for an effective systematic work environmental management.

Sammanfattning Denna kvalitativa studie syftar till att undersöka yrkesverksamma personalvetares uppfattning om arbetsrelaterad psykisk ohälsa och om det arbetsmiljöarbete som bedrivs i förebyggande syfte mot arbetsrelaterad psykisk ohälsa på deras arbetsplats. Arbetsrelaterad psykisk ohälsa är ett växande fenomen som orsakas av den psykosociala arbetsmiljön. Arbetsmiljöarbetet är till stor del lagreglerat i arbetsmiljölagen, som genomgick en korrigering under 2016. Forskning visar dock att de riktlinjer som framtagits är svåra att implementera och utvärdera i det verkliga arbetslivet, att det råder brist på engagemang från arbetsgivaren, samt ett ökat krav på individer att förvärva kunskaper för att främst öka organisationers effektivitet. De teoretiska ramverk som använts för studien är det livslånga lärandet, och ämnar att förklara hur förvärvandet av kunskaper om arbetsrelaterad psykisk ohälsa gått till, och dessa kunskaper används i arbetslivet. Studien utgick från åtta intervjuer och resultaten presenterades genom en tematisk analys. Det visade sig att formell utbildning många gånger är svårt att sätta i en verklig kontext, att fenomenet arbetsrelaterad psykisk ohälsa ofta är svårbemött, och att det är genom det informella lärandet som informanterna lärde sig att bemöta det. Det visade sig även att särskiljandet av den fysiska och den psykosociala arbetsmiljön upplevdes som svåra att separera, och att den psykosociala arbetsmiljön då ofta inte synliggjordes i samma utsträckning som den fysiska. Resultaten visade även på att samarbetet med företagshälsovården på arbetsplatser hjälpte till att synliggöra ett arbetsmiljöarbete. Chefens roll var avgörande många gånger för synliggörandet samt känslan av ett inkulderande i arbetsmiljöarbetet. Det informella lärandet visade sig vara av stor betydelse för informanternas möjlighet att kunna hantera faktorer i arbetslivet, men att det finns en avsaknad av icke-formellt lärande eller formellt lärande i arbetslivet, som bekräftar den kunskap som kommer från det informella lärandet.

The principal aim of this dissertation is empirically todevelop and test a collaboration model for how to operatesystematically with the work environment at school. Ontheoretical grounds, a case is made that collaboration betweendifferent groups (various professions and pupils) should beinvestigated despite different conditions, qualifications andages.School Environment 2000is a model for theongoing monitoring of the work environment at school. It isdesigned for integration into school-based activities, and itsmaterial offers an opportunity for any stakeholder involved toparticipate in activities concerning conditions at school. TheSchool Environment 2000have been used by pupilsand personnel (totally 2,383) at 36 schools in 8 municipalitiesin Sweden. Three of the four studies are follow-up studies; thefourth study had matched control schools. All studies usedquestionnaires; the fourth were completed with other methods asdiaries, observations and interviews. The result showed that amajority of pupils specified both sickness-related andpsychosocial reasons for absence from school. The second(pupils) and third (personnel) study show associations betweenthe work environment and ill-health, especially by females.Among women, all the items describing self-reported complaintscorrelated significantly with the Work at school index and Workclimate index. In the fourth study, in which a work environmentintervention was tested, the participants adopted a morelimited concept than that contained in School Environment2000-questionnaire. A clear desire was expressed, for morestructure and order in school work. The participants attainedin the intervention program, compared with the controller, weremore engaged in greater collaboration with others, had becomemore active in managing problems and conflicts, had greaterinternal effectiveness and perceivedfacilitating factors inwork for change as depending less on personal attributes andbehaviours of personnel. The discussion focus the need forfollowup changes and their effects on health; collaboration topromote objective and subjective scope for action; andcollaboration for goal fulfilment. Special care must beconsidered pupils work environment. The school situation is agood time for learning how to create a good work environmentand to prevent ill-health.

Many manufacturing companies face significant challenges in maintaining their factory equipment in a cost efficient manner so as to provide reliable production capacity. CEI (Consumer Electronics, Inc., a pseudonym for an electronics marketing, sales, and assembly company that this work is based on) is no exception. The factory maintenance organization at CEI, similar to many other companies, had been relegated to the status of necessary evil, a cost center that was necessary but not always effective or efficient. Historically, the maintenance organization had been almost entirely reactive in its approach to maintenance. This study reviews many ideas for how CEI could, consistent with management objectives, become more proactive in its approach to maintenance. This work presents an investigation into the work flow processes inherent in CEI's factory maintenance organization and suggests improvements to the processes and the software infrastructure to support those processes that might be appropriate. Specifically the reactive (emergency) and preventative maintenance work processes are analyzed and suggestions to improve data integrity and to improve communication are presented - providing the maintenance technicians with better information with which to do their jobs.
(cont.) Improvements for factory spare parts management are also suggested describing how CEI could potentially improve its fill rate while holding significantly less inventory. The role of equipment analysis technology and materials analysis in predicting equipment reliability is also discussed.

Background: During the 1980’s, New Public Management was introduced as a new way of regulating the public sector, by managing more in line with private sector activities. Previous studies have primarily focused on the implementation and application of these control forms, but how this has affected the employees have so far been hard to ascertain. On this basis there is a need to investigate further how public sector employees experience their current working situation, with the main focus on aspects linked to motivation and psychosocial work environment. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to generate an understanding of how nurses at Swedish public hospitals perceive their current working situation. Methodology: This is a qualitative multiple case study using the scientific perspective of phenomenology. The study is based on an inductive approach and six semi-structured interviews have been used to collect data. The empirical data has been analysed through a phenomenological analysis. Conclusion: This study demonstrates a complex view of the nurses’ perception of their working situation, where participation and unity with colleagues lead to a positive perception of the psychosocial work environment. The negative perception of the psychosocial work environment is mainly related to reduced control within the working situation. The study also shows that both inner and outer motivators motivate the nurses, which indicates a contradiction to parts of previous motivation theories regarding public sector employees.

The purpose of the study was to investigate how school counsellors describe school-related stress in children and how they work in their profession with questions related to school-related stress in children. The method in the study was qualitative and semi-structured interviews were conducted with school counsellors working in elementary school. The theoretical frame of the study was a sense of context (KASAM) and social support in order to gain a broader understanding of children's school-related stress and the role of the school-counsellor in the psychosocial work on children's school-related stress. The results of the study showed that school counsellors saw a high incidence of school-related stress in children, mainly related to social interaction, achievements and expectations in school work and the organizational structure of the school. The study found that school counsellors felt that school-related stress issues are important to work with at individual group and organizational levels.

Operations are controlled by financials, which also may be based on coworkers. Leader's decisions daily affect intangible assets such as staff motivation and professional skills development. Long-term sustainability is a hot topic, and can benefit a business. The concept of sustainability includes, for example, long-term safeguarding of human resources, also leaders. New legislation has expanded employer's responsibility for psychosocial work environment, and thus has emerged that the leader's empowerment and own psychosocial work is less illuminated. A qualitative study using in-depth interviews was conducted in order to contribute to increased knowledge of the subject human capital and intellectual capital, on basis of sustainable leadership. Research question was: Can operations intellectual and human capital be strengthened based on leaders psychosocial work environment, and if so, how? Respondents were fourteen high school principals, which in empirical material gave personal experience of own work and self-rated psychosocial health. The study's empirical data, theory and analysis has highlighted four themes: leadership, strategy and structure, leadership and change, leadership and economic governance on the basis of teamwork, leadership, and organizational sustainability. Result showed that activity by influencing culture can be given greater access to information and knowledge. Also various forms of support were seen to strengthen, for example in form of self-reflection about psychosocial work environment, as well as enhanced tools to manage everyday life. Mentoring, tutoring in groups, and collaborative leadership were also seen strengthen intangible assets, and motivation. Changed management, communication channels and meeting structure, could free up time and resources to work with communication and collaboration for knowledge sharing. This was considered promote motivation and productivity, and strengthen knowledge. The study showed that intangible assets and goodwill could be strengthened on basis of leaders' psychosocial health. The findings were also seen transferable to other areas of activity.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how female project managers experience their work situation. To explore this, a qualitative study was conducted with semi-structured interviews. The selection method in the study was targeted selection in which 10 female project managers who worked in different industries participated. The material from the interviews was analyzed by a thematic analysis. The result of the study suggests that project management as a profession is appreciated by women as it is perceived to be a flexible profession where they have the opportunity to influence and decide over their own work. In addition, the result also suggests that women thrive well and experience their working environment as good in the role as a project manager. Their work environment also seems to have changed in recent years and it is not necessary that gender influences how the females are treated, it might have to do with the role as a project manager itself - which could also be an interesting subject to study further in the future.

This study examines how the implementation of a systematic work environment management can affect an organization. Many places do not work systematically with the working environment although companies are very dependent of the wellbeing and health of their co-workers as this increases their effectiveness. The aim is to increase the understanding of how important it is to actively address the social and physical environment in a company. We want to show organizations how they can gain profit, not only financially, but through the wellbeing and effectiveness of their employees long-term. The study is qualitative to its disposition and uses an interactive process of research. The sample consisted of respondents from the company Copy Syd AB. The result shows that the implementation of a systematic work environment management is of great importance to the company and its employees. As the study indicates there are positive effects from satisfied co-workers who think that the implementation has contributed to an increased job satisfaction as well as increased efficiency at work. The profit might not always be financial, but if the co-workers experience that their work situation, both physically and psychosocially, is considerably better than before, this profit must be considered as great, or even greater importance than mere economy. In the study it also emerges that it is possible to distinguish effects on three levels: for the individual, for the organization and for the society.

Our common interest in the work environment founded the idea of this study, our bachelor degree project, which aims at describing the teachers' work situation with a focus on psychosocial work environment and working conditions and the importance of leadership for the individual work environment experience. The theoretical frame of reference focuses on the psychosocial work environment and addresses areas such as leadership, job-demand-control-support model, work-related stress, communication and teachers' working conditions. The method is of a qualitative nature, in which six semistructured interviews were conducted with five teachers and one principal, all of whom are employed in elementary school. The result shows that teachers experience a high level of administrative burden that needs to be reduced in order for the work situation to be considered manageable and contribute to a sustainable working life. The teachers who considered themselves having a reasonable workload have access to support, something that those who find themselves having a too heavy workload are missing. A thematisation of the key areas that could be read from the respondents' answers was established: workload, the need for support and leadership, the view of leadership, and the role of teacher and the educational task. Then the result was analyzed using the theoretical reference frame. The conclusions we can draw from the study are that there are three variables that are crucial for teachers' experiences regarding their own work environment: time, support and communication. If these variables are present in the business, the staff tend to feel better, but if these variables are completely absent, they tend to have the opposite effect, an unmotivated and unattended staff. Leaders in the school system should thus work continuously and structured with these three variables to counteract the negative trend of sick leave and redundancies among teachers in the Swedish school.

Problematik: Precis som många andra turismföretag så präglas dykföretag av säsongsarbete. Under lågsäsongen arbetar året runt personalen med få turister och kollegor och under högsäsongen arbetar de intensivt tillsammans med säsongsarbetare i ett halvårs tid i en destination full av turister. När lågsäsongen närmar sig minskar turistmängden och säsongsarbetarna. Det är en livsstil för båda grupperna, men också en tillfällig period för säsongsarbetarna och en vardag för året runt personalen. Personalen har således olika förutsättningar, intressen och behov och deras arbetsmotivation skiljer sig beroende på om de är åretruntarbetare eller säsongarbetare. Som arbetsgivare är det viktigt att ha förståelse för dessa skillnader för att kunna motivera personalen på bästa möjliga sätt, både under de stillsamma och de hektiska perioderna.
Syfte: Syftet är att klargöra vilka motivations- och välmåendefaktorer som driver de åretruntanställda och säsongsanställda på Kon-Tiki att arbeta i en verksamhet med sådana speciella arbetsförhållanden, vad som motiverar dem att prestera sitt yttersta både för sin egen och företagets skull. Detta bidrar till en ökad förståelse för hur man som chef ska kunna leda och arbeta med motivation och välmående av anställda inom ett dykföretag i turismbranschen. Syftet är även att se på om det finns skillnader och likheter mellan grupperna angående deras syn på motivations- och välmåendefaktorer.
Metod: Vi valde att göra en kvalitativ undersökning för att få en djupare förståelse för vår problematik och vårt syfte. Arbetet innehåller litteratur om psykosocial arbetsmiljö, motivation, välmående och tourism employee management. Teorierna baseras främst på Herzbergs två-faktor teori, Hackman och Oldhams arbetskaraktäristiska modell för arbetsmotivation samt Karasek och Theorells krav-kontroll modell. Det empiriska materialet är insamlat via intervjuer med anställda på Kon-Tiki. Intervjufrågorna är baserade på 25 faktorer vilka har betydelse för den psykosociala arbetsmiljön.
Resultat: Tillsammans skapar faktorerna en helhetsbild av upplevelsen av att vara arbetstagare på Kon-Tiki och de är därför lika viktiga för personalens motivation och välmående. Åretruntarna är generellt mer nöjda på Kon-Tiki än vad säsongarna är. Detta kan bero på att åretruntarna har varit anställda länge, arbetar året runt och därmed har god insikt om verksamheten samt bättre kontakt med ledningen, vilket gör att de har ett större inflytande och ansvar. Säsongarna arbetar endast för en tillfällig period och har kanske inte samma företagstänk som de tillsvidareanställda har, vilket gör att de ser olika på saker. Trots detta, och att man mest umgås med personer inom sin egen grupp, upplevs gemenskapen vara bra. Resultatet visade att anställningsformen har stor betydelse för den anställdes upplevelser av att vara arbetstagare på Kon-Tiki. Deras förutsättningar och behov skiljer sig, vilket måste beaktas av ledningen i dennes arbete mot en mer nöjd och motiverad personal.
Problem: Diving companies are distinguished by seasonal work just as many other tourism companies. The all year around staff work with few tourists and colleagues during the low season and during the high season they work intense for six months together with seasonal workers in a destination full of tourists. When the low season approaches, both the tourists and seasonal workers decrease. It is a lifestyle for both groups, but a temporary period for the seasonal workers and an everyday life for the all year around workers. So the staff have different conditions, interests and needs and their work motivation differ depending on if they work all year around or seasonal. It is significant to have understanding for these differences as an employer to be able to motivate the employees in the best way possible, both during the tranquil and hectic work periods.
Purpose: The purpose is to clarify which motivation and well-being factors that strive the all year around workers and seasonal workers at Kon-Tiki to work in a business with such special work conditions, what motivates them to perform to their fullest both for their own and the companies sake. This contributes to a greater understanding for how managers can lead and work with motivation and the well-being of employees in a diving company and in the tourism business. The purpose is also to see if there are differences or similarities between the groups.
Methodology: We chose to do a qualitative study to be able to get a deeper understanding of our problem and purpose. It includes literature about psychosocial work environment, motivation, well-being and tourism employee management. The theories are mainly based on Herzbergs two-factor theory, Hackman and Oldham's Job Characteristics Model and Job Design as well as Karasek and Theorell's demand-control model. The empirical material was collected through interviews with employees at Kon-Tiki. The interview questions are based on 25 factors that have significance for the psychosocial work environment.
Results: Together the factors create a comprehensive view of the experience of being an employee at Kon-Tiki, why they are equally important for the employees' motivation and well-being. The all year around staff are generally more pleased at Kon-Tiki than the seasonal workers. Reasons might be the fact that the all year around staff have been employed for a long time, work all year around and therefore have a greater knowledge of the company and a better contact with the leadership, which gives them more influence and responsibility. The seasonal staff only work for shorter periods and might not have the same business think as the others, which might cause their different opinions. In spite of this, and the fact that the personnel mostly associate with people within their own groups, they believe they have a good fellowship at work. The results show that the type of employment has a big significance for the employee's experience of being an employee at Kon-Tiki. Their conditions and needs differ, which must be considered by the management in their work towards a happier and motivated personnel.

In the healthcare and care sector sick leave is high. There are many causes of ill health and in many cases it is work-related and employees have an increased risk of mental illness and, above all, stress. If there is an imbalance in working life and the requirements exceed the resources, it can have negative effects. A good working environment can inspire the employee to maintain his own resources and contribute to increased awareness of well-being. Physical activity has positive effects on health and can protect individuals from developing mental health caused by stress. Moderate intensity of exercise, 150 minutes per week is enough to experience less stress and increased well-being. The Work Environment Act requires employers to adapt the work to the individual employee. The purpose of the study is to highlight whether there is a connection between physical activity and the experience of stress and the psychosocial work environment of the employee in healthcare and care. A quantitative method has been used and various professions in the healthcare and care sector have responded to a questionnaire. The result shows that there is no significant difference in the experience of stress between those who are not physically active and those who are physically active. On the other hand, there is a connection between physically active individuals linked to the fact that they are easier to handle work demands in terms of workload. The physical activists experience that they have support from workmates, friends and family to a greater extent than the physically inactive ones.
