Pollution is affecting river Rwabakazi in the Nile basin. Its effects are reflected by high turbidity, pH, total suspended solids, (T.S.S.), electrical conductivity, metal ions concentrations, and low concentration of dissolved oxygen (DO5). In this study, we report the variations in selected physicochemical parameters of waters of the Rwabakazi river. ABSTRACT The origin of the multiwavelength emission from the high-synchrotron-peaked BL Lac 1ES 1218+304 is studied using the data from SwiftUVOT/XRT, NuSTAR, and Fermi-LAT. A detailed temporal and spectral analysis of the data observed during 2008–2020 in the γ-ray (>100 MeV), X-ray (0.3–70 keV), and optical/UV bands is performed. The γ-ray spectrum is hard with a photon index of 1.71 ± 0.02 above 100 MeV. Abstract We report the discovery of three faint and ultrafaint dwarf galaxies—Sculptor A, Sculptor B, and Sculptor C—in the direction of NGC 300 (D = 2.0 Mpc), a Large Magellanic Cloud–mass galaxy. Deep ground-based imaging with Gemini/GMOS resolves all three dwarf galaxies into stars, each displaying a red giant branch indicative of an old, metal-poor stellar population. On the model of premature aging induced by 30-day dark deprivation (light-dark cycle 24/0 h, artificial illumination 300 Lux), the effect of exogenous melatonin (0.3 mg/kg, 14 days after the cancellation of dark deprivation, intragastric daily in 2 % starch mucus) on the dynamics of body weight and the level of Klotho protein in the blood was studied in outbred white male rats of 4 months of age. It has been shown that prolonged dark deprivation is accompanied by a statistically significant decrease in the content of the Klotho protein in the blood serum, which is a marker of premature aging.

The dielectric permittivity of the layered magnetic insulators [(CH2)3(NH3)2Cu1−xCdxCl4] with x=0, 0.3, 0.6, and 1 has been studied in the temperature range 300 K- 470 K at different frequencies. DBFF, the only metabolite of bromofenofos (BFF, a fasciolicide), was extracted from milk by liquid–liquid partition with acetone, acetonitrile, and dichloromethane and purified by using a C18 cartridge. AbstractTakedaite, Ca3B2O6, has been found in crystalline limestone near gehlenite−spurrite skarns at Fuka, Okayama Prefecture. It occurs as aggregates of granular crystals up to 0.8 mm long and 0.3 mm wide. The mineral is associated with nifontovite, olshanskyite, pentahydroborite, frolovite, sibirskite, calcite and an unidentified mineral, is white or pale gray, and has a vitreous luster. Takedaite is trigonal with space group of Rc, a = 8.638(1), c = 11.850(2)Å, Z = 6. AbstractWoodallite is a new Cr-rich member of the hydrotalcite group from the large, low-grade Mount Keith nickel deposit, in the northeastern Goldfields district of Western Australia. Woodallite occurs as whorls and clusters of minute platelets up to 6 mm across in lizardite+brucite-altered dunite. Individual platelets are typically 10–100 µm in maximum dimension and are often curved. Associated minerals include chromite, lizardite, iowaite, pentlandite, magnetite, tochilinite and brucite. Electron microprobe analysis gave: Mg 25.90 wt.%; Cr 10.81; Fe 4.86; Al 0.68; Cl 9.89; S 0.03; Si 0.01;
