Анотація:

Acraea cerasa Hewitson, 1861, is, depending on works, assigned to different genera. These different systematic positions are listed and discussed. The morphological and ecological data of this species and its relatives are taken into account in order to specify its phylogenetic position in the Acraeini. It is shown that A. cerasa do indeed belong to the clade Acraea (Acraea), sensu Pierre, 1987.

Анотація:

Two new species of Actinote (Nymphalidae, Heliconiinae, Acraeini) are described from southeastern Brazil. Actinote eberti sp. nov. occurs in the Serra da Mantiqueira region and resembles members of the Actinote black-yellow mimicry group. Actinote pratensis sp. nov. is found in widely scattered points in the rich-soil central S o Paulo transition between montane and semideciduous atlantic forest, and belongs to the orange-yellow mimicry group.

A morfologia externa do adulto de A. melanisans Oberthür, 1917 é descrita e ilustrada. Os resultados obtidos foram comparados com outros já publicados para a morfologia externa de Nymphalidae (Danainae, Brassolinae/Brassolini sensu CASAGRANDE (2004), Morphinae/Morphini sensu LAMAS (2004a), Ithomiinae e Charaxinae). É apresentado um padrão para a caracterização morfológica do gênero, sendo esse o primeiro estudo detalhado de morfologia de uma espécie de Acraeini, agregando informações úteis para subsidiar a análise filogenética das espécies Neotropicais.

The systematic and taxonomic history of the tribe Acraeini is reviewed. Using a robust dated molecular phylogeny published in 2021, and combining this with morphological and ecological data-sets, we divided the clearly paraphyletic genus Acraea (sensu lato) into five genera. We raised the subgenera Rubraea Henning, 1992, Stephenia Henning, 1992 to genera and reinstate Bematistes Hemming, 1935 and Telchinia Hübner, [1819] as valid genera. Este artigo registra o comportamento de agregação noturna de machos de Actinote surima surima (Schaus, 1902), estudado na cidade de Curitiba, Paraná, Brasil. The butterfly Actinote brylla was described by Oberthür in 1917; since then, no work describing the life cycle of the species has been officially published. This paper aimed to describe the life cycle of A. brylla.
