The purpose of this study was to produce a management information system product and the Kendal Regency PBSI athlete database, test the effectiveness and analyze the acceptance of the Kendal Regency PBSI athlete management information system and database product so that the system product can play a role in the data input process and make it easier for users to find information. The research method used is development research. The development procedure used includes several stages, namely; 1) research and data collection; 2) product planning, and 3) product development. The instruments used in this development research are questionnaires, observations and interviews. The subjects and places of research are PBSI administrators, club administrators, coaches and athletes under the auspices of PBSI Kendal Regency. This research aims to produce a website-based product management information system and database of PBSI athletes in the Kendal Regency that can be accessed via computers and smartphones so that it can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Test the product's effectiveness on a small group scale with an overall score of "Good" at 71.11%. Test the effectiveness of large group products with an overall score of "Very Good" of 89.29%. Based on the results of this study, the conclusions obtained are to produce SIM products and athlete databases that are effective and efficient when used.

In this paper, a system designed to provide technical support for the athletes and biochemical indicators of management systems development. First, choose a representative biochemical indicators, and indicators are described; then, processed the database logical structure design, including athlete information, sample information, biochemical markers, and other related fields; finally, functional design, including data entry, data modification, data query, data reporting, system management and other main function module. Using results of this study can give full play to the role of technology in competitive sports, to achieve scientific training.

This study by the researcher on Physical Education Student's Awareness of the Implementation of Disaster Management System: Inputs for enhancement policy specifically in the teaching-learning activities improvement through intended to know the level of awareness in teaching the teacher about the implementation of the disaster management system of the school in the sophomore PE students. The sophomore PE student-athlete respondents are mostly males and specialize in sports-inclined varied landscapes, with football, track and field, and basketball emerging as the most prevalent sports specializations. This only shows that there are more male athletes involved. The respondents of the sophomore student-athletes are moderately aware of the implementation of the disaster management system specifically in the Prevention of the Disaster, Mitigation of the Disaster, Preparedness for the Disaster, and Assessing the Risks of the Disaster while Response to the Disaster and Recovering from Disaster. Therefore, the relevance of the results extends to the broader educational mission of promoting holistic development in student-athletes. By instilling a culture of preparedness, resilience, and civic responsibility, institutions can equip student-athletes with valuable life skills beyond the athletic field. holistic development in student-athletes. No significant difference exists in the assessment of student-athlete respondents on their profile. The focus group discussion among PE teachers who teach disaster management is just an integration that requires a further appreciation of the subject to be more effectively taught to students. Based on the conclusions derived from this study, this research came up with the following recommendations. It just shows that more male athletes are involved. It is prepared and knows the remedies that should be carried out in the event of a disaster. It is suggested that the institution have a specific organization for students who respond or help during a disaster to cultivate a culture of caring for others that student-athletes can lead because of their agile actions. Teachers who teach disaster management should think of more engaging activities to increase students' appreciation of cultivating a culture of caring for others during disasters regardless of their gender, age, and specialization in sports.

In recent years, sports wearable technology has completely changed the way athletes prepare, compete, and recover. Wearable technology has a lot to offer in the rehabilitation process, which is essential to an athlete’s return to their best performance. Wearable devices for athlete injury detection pose potential challenges like data quality, security, and privacy, impacting accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness. To solve these problems, an innovative injury detection and rehabilitation monitoring (IDRM) system was proposed for athletes. By employing an adjustable recurrent neural network (ARNN) to detect anomalies in injury risks such as abnormal joint movements in athletes. In this study, biomechanics data was collected from sports athletes through wearable devices, and the wearable system provided feedback to the user. A redefined convolutional neural network (RCNN) was utilized to monitor the rehabilitation process. This system tracks athlete’s rehabilitation progress and ensures that progress monitors were performed correctly, and the system, feasibility was evaluated on 10 healthy subjects performing 4 different rehabilitation exercises. Each exercise was performed four times monitoring and validation. The data was preprocessed using a Gaussian filter to remove noise from the obtained data. Then the features are extracted using independent component analysis (ICA) for dimensionality reduction from preprocessed data. The proposed method is implemented using Python software. In comparative analysis, the performance of ARNN showed high performance, with an F1-measure of 91.6%, accuracy of 93.5%, recall of 92.8%, and precision of 91.4%. With a 95% accuracy rate, 98% F1 measure, 94% precision, and 93% recall, the RCNN model functioned effectively. The result showed the proposed method achieved better performance in athlete injury detection and accurately recognizing all rehabilitation monitoring. This study provides a complete approach to athlete health management by highlighting the integration of rehabilitation monitoring and injury detection into an overall structure.

To achieve success, each sport requires an excellent state of formation of physical and mental qualities. In the case when the sports training of athletes is at the same level, the main and decisive moment for winning the competition is psychological readiness.
Athletes are trained in different areas, but very often the inability to cope with their emotions can lead to defeat, despite years of training. With the active participation of a psychologist in the training process, it becomes possible to characterize the individual characteristics of the athlete, the formation and development of mental qualities necessary for victory. One of the activities of a sports psychologist is the timeliness of determining the features of the psyche, the development of an individual plan for the development of abilities, strategies for pre-competitive and competitive behavior.
Psychodiagnostics plays an important role in the development of the athlete's personality and further activities of the coach. Thanks to psychodiagnostics there is a formation of psychological and pedagogical and psychohygienic recommendations, planning of system of actions on athletes. Psychodiagnostics aims to study the athlete. In this process, the coach helps to objectively assess the personality of the athlete. Psychohygienic recommendations of a psychologist and a coach are closely related. After all, in the system "coach-athlete-psychologist" they directly affect the mental state of the athlete.
There are many examples in the history of sports when a timely word, pause, gesture, support decided the fate of persistent confrontation. Every athlete in his professional career goes through crisis periods, which are caused by various reasons: defeat in the competition, transition to another team, change of coach, problems in personal life.
Diversity in the work of the coach, the importance of a number of auxiliary functions in the work of the latter (administration, regulation, management) does not allow to adequately assess the problems and troubles of the athlete as a person. This is the task of a sports psychologist - to create an atmosphere of complete trust and mutual understanding, to establish contact with the athlete to reveal personal problems, which will effectively affect his condition, help the athlete understand their problems, find a way out of difficult situations sports achievements.

Background: Little existing data describe which medical professionals and which medical studies are used to assess sport-related concussions in high school athletes. Purpose: To describe the medical providers and medical studies used when assessing sport-related concussions. To determine the effects of medical provider type on timing of return to play, frequency of imaging, and frequency of neuropsychological testing. Study Design: Descriptive epidemiology study. Methods: All concussions recorded by the High School Reporting Information Online (HS RIO) injury surveillance system during the 2009 to 2010 academic year were included. χ2 analyses were conducted for categorical variables. Fisher exact test was used for nonparametric data. Logistic regression analyses were used when adjusting for potential confounders. Statistical significance was considered for P < .05. Results: The HS RIO recorded 1056 sport-related concussions, representing 14.6% of all injuries. Most (94.4%) concussions were assessed by athletic trainers (ATs), 58.8% by a primary care physician. Few concussions were managed by specialists. The assessment of 21.2% included computed tomography. Computerized neuropsychological testing was used for 41.2%. For 50.1%, a physician decided when to return the athlete to play; for 46.2%, the decision was made by an AT. After adjusting for potential confounders, no associations between timing of return to play and the type of provider (physician vs AT) deciding to return the athlete to play were found. Conclusion: Concussions account for nearly 15% of all sport-related injuries in high school athletes. The timing of return to play after a sport-related concussion is similar regardless of whether the decision to return the athlete to play is made by a physician or an AT. When a medical doctor is involved, most concussions are assessed by primary care physicians as opposed to subspecialists. Computed tomography is obtained during the assessment of 1 of every 5 concussions occurring in high school athletes.

As one of the emerging themes in research on sport management leadership, servant leadership focuses on facilitating individual growth and moral development. The present study tested a hypothesized research model that demonstrates support for the effects of a head coach's servant leadership on athletes' ethical development and team outcome confidence through the quality that characterizes the coach–athlete relationship. We recruited 347 student-athletes of football teams and men's basketball teams who play under the Division I system of the US National Collegiate Athletic Association. Whereas the quality of the coach–athlete relationship partially mediated the association between servant leadership and ethical development, it fully mediated the paths from servant leadership to team outcome confidence. This study provides empirical support for the positive influence of servant leadership behaviors and advances an improved understanding of the role played by the aforementioned relationship quality in coaching leadership research.

Quite a lot of athletes in the Karawang district requires the management of data collection of athletes to be better coordinated. So, we need a system that can facilitate the management of KONI athletes in Karawang district. In this case, an Information System was created which functions to process the data of athletes in Karawang district, so that it would be assisting in the data collection of the athletes. The information system created is in the form of a website-based application with implementation using a PHP programming language and MySQL database

Injuries are common among athletes at any point in their sports carrier. Physiotherapy management plays a vital role in the rehabilitation of athlete injury. Numerous pieces of evidence suggest that quick fix approaches, lack of clinical reasoning skills in injury healing science, and current Indian medical system practising guidelines are the reason for poor quality treatment in India, and it is difficult to provide the best quality treatment as per the athletes’ requirements. A multidisciplinary team along with prompt evidence-based treatment is important in injury management. This article describes the current scenario in Indian physiotherapy as well as the suggestions and recommendations to implement evidence-based strategies for proper injury management among athletes.

Background: Pectoralis major (PM) injuries are rare, primarily occurring in males during athletic activity. In the current literature, these injuries have not been well described in National Football League (NFL) athletes. Hypothesis: The incidence of PM injuries will be low in NFL athletes, with athletes missing significantly more time after injuries requiring operative management. Study Design: Cohort study. Level of Evidence: Level 4. Methods: All documented PM injuries were retrospectively analyzed using the NFL Injury Surveillance System over a 15-season period. The data were analyzed by season, session, position, activity, and contact type at the time of injury. Additionally, the incidence, treatment, and days missed as a result of injury were assessed. Results: Over 15 consecutive seasons, there were a total of 211 PM injuries. Of these injuries, 132 were classified as strains and 79 as ruptures. The incidence of strains was 0.41 per 10,000 athlete-exposures, compared with 0.25 per 10,0000 athlete-exposures for ruptures ( P < 0.01). Players with PM ruptures treated operatively missed significantly more days than players treated nonoperatively (146.7 ± 55.0 vs 77.2 ± 72.9; P < 0.01). Conclusion: NFL athletes miss significantly more time after operative compared with nonoperative management of PM ruptures. Clinical Relevance: PM injuries are rare, with the current literature lacking description of these injuries in NFL athletes. The paucity of data limits physicians from providing adequate counseling and expectations for athletes with this injury. This research represents the largest study assessing PM injuries in NFL athletes.

Due to the rapid development of sports and people’s love for sports, athletes often perform resistance training beyond the body to achieve better results, resulting in frequent muscle injuries. After the injury, the athlete cannot return to the state before the injury in time, which destroys the previous training results and hinders the athlete from improving to the professional level. Therefore, the research of athletes’ post-injury rehabilitation is the central subject of modern sports science research. This paper used OpenSim technology to study the rehabilitation management of sports athletes’ muscle injury. In this paper, the OpenSim skeletal muscle model was first established, followed by muscle modeling and characteristic analysis, and then a muscle rehabilitation system was constructed. The experimental part used the limb rehabilitation device model of this paper to carry out muscle rehabilitation training for patients with muscle injury, and compared it with conventional rehabilitation training. The experimental results showed that the limb rehabilitation device in this paper had a better rehabilitation effect. Compared with the traditional rehabilitation training, the excellent rate of the total active range of motion of the joints and the satisfaction of rehabilitation nursing were both increased by 10%.

The article addresses the issue of integrating types of physical fitness control for athletes in higher education institutions. It examines contradictions in the use of control types and issues in managing the athlete training process. A theoretical analysis and summary of scientific-methodological lit-erature and online information sources were conducted. A survey was carried out with 3,800 student-athletes. The survey helped identify the problem areas within the student-athlete training system in higher education institutions. The effectiveness of control types was assessed during the survey, with results calculated using mathematical statistics methods. Findings show that only 10 % of respondents use the critical type of control known as operational control. The survey results also correlate with the level of sports achievements across all sports disciplines. Operational control, used by only 10 % of athletes, has a significant impact on managing the training process. Thus, it can be concluded that the low usage of most control types hinders effective management of athlete preparation. Employing operational control will be crucial to enhancing the training effectiveness of student-athletes in higher education institutions.

Purpose: To validate the quantification of training load (session rating of perceived exertion [s-RPE]) in an Australian Olympic squad (women’s water polo), assessed with the use of a modified RPE scale collected via a newly developed online system (athlete management system). Methods: Sixteen elite women water polo players (age = 26 [3] y, height = 1.78 [0.05] m, and body mass = 75.5 [7.1] kg) participated in the study. Thirty training sessions were monitored for a total of 303 individual sessions. Heart rate was recorded during training sessions using continuous heart-rate telemetry. Participants were asked to rate the intensity of the training sessions on the athlete management system RPE scale, using an online application within 30 min of completion of the sessions. Individual relationships between s-RPE and both Banister training impulse (TRIMP) and Edwards’ method were analyzed. Results: Individual correlations with s-RPE ranged between r = .51 and .79 (Banister TRIMP) and r = .54 and .83 (Edwards’ method). The percentages of moderate and large correlation were 81% and 19% between s-RPE method and Banister TRIMP, and 56% and 44% between s-RPE and Edwards’ method. Conclusions: The online athlete management system for assessing s-RPE was shown to be a valid indicator of internal training load and can be used in elite sport.

ObjectiveTo describe the epidemiology of illness at the Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympic Games.MethodsA total of 547 athletes from 45 countries were monitored daily for 12 days over the Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympic Games (6564 athlete days). Illness data were obtained daily from teams without their own medical support (13 teams, 37 athletes) and teams with their own medical support (32 teams, 510 athletes) through electronic data capturing systems.ResultsThe total number of illnesses reported was 123, with an illness incidence rate (IR) of 18.7 per 1000 athlete days (95% CI 15.1% to 23.2%). The highest IR was reported for wheelchair curling (IR of 20.0 (95% CI 10.1% to 39.6%)). Illnesses in the respiratory system (IR of 5.6 (95% CI 3.8% to 8.0%)), eye and adnexa (IR of 2.7 (95% CI 1.7% to 4.4%)) and digestive system (IR of 2.4 (95% CI 1.4% to 4.2%)) were the most common. Older athletes (35–63 years) had a significantly higher IR than younger athletes (14–25 years, p=0.049).ConclusionsThe results of this study indicate that Paralympic athletes report higher illness incidence rates compared to Olympic athletes at similar competitions. The highest rates of illness were reported for the respiratory and digestive systems, eye and adnexa, respectively. Thus, the results of this study form a basis for the identification of physiological systems at higher risk of illness, which can in turn inform illness prevention and management programmes with eventual policy change to promote athlete safety in future editions of the Winter Paralympic Games.

ObjectivesWe investigated the management of travel fatigue and jet lag in athlete populations by evaluating studies that have applied non-pharmacological interventions (exercise, sleep, light and nutrition), and pharmacological interventions (melatonin, sedatives, stimulants, melatonin analogues, glucocorticoids and antihistamines) following long-haul transmeridian travel-based, or laboratory-based circadian system phase-shifts.DesignSystematic reviewEligibility criteriaRandomised controlled trials (RCTs), and non-RCTs including experimental studies and observational studies, exploring interventions to manage travel fatigue and jet lag involving actual travel-based or laboratory-based phase-shifts. Studies included participants who were athletes, except for interventions rendering no athlete studies, then the search was expanded to include studies on healthy populations.Data sourcesElectronic searches in PubMed, MEDLINE, CINAHL, Google Scholar and SPORTDiscus from inception to March 2019. We assessed included articles for risk of bias, methodological quality, level of evidence and quality of evidence.ResultsTwenty-two articles were included: 8 non-RCTs and 14 RCTs. No relevant travel fatigue papers were found. For jet lag, only 12 athlete-specific studies were available (six non-RCTs, six RCTs). In total (athletes and healthy populations), 11 non-pharmacological studies (participants 600; intervention group 290; four non-RCTs, seven RCTs) and 11 pharmacological studies (participants 1202; intervention group 870; four non-RCTs, seven RCTs) were included. For non-pharmacological interventions, seven studies across interventions related to actual travel and four to simulated travel. For pharmacological interventions, eight studies were based on actual travel and three on simulated travel.ConclusionsWe found no literature pertaining to the management of travel fatigue. Evidence for the successful management of jet lag in athletes was of low quality. More field-based studies specifically on athlete populations are required with a multifaceted approach, better design and implementation to draw valid conclusions.PROSPERO registration numberThe protocol was registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO: CRD42019126852).

This research is a descriptive qualitative study that aims to provide a detailed description of the athlete achievement coaching system at Bengkalis Fencing Club. Data was obtained through interviews with athletes, coaches, and club administrators. The results showed that the athlete recruitment system is running well, free of charge and open to the public, in accordance with the recruitment theory by Mulyati (2018) and Mustofa (2018). Physical and technical training programs are carried out regularly and systematically, in accordance with the training theory by Harsono (2017) and Purnomo (2019). The existing facilities and infrastructure are adequate but need to be improved, in line with the opinion of Hafidz (1989) in Sopian (2019). The achievements of Bengkalis Fencing Club athletes are high, with good mental preparation, as stated by Putri (2023). Recruitment of coaches is based on their qualifications and certifications, in accordance with the training theory by Suyono and Monalisa (2016). The club's organizational structure plays an optimal role in supporting athlete achievement, as stated by Rumpis Agus Sudarko (2009) in Umam (2017). Fund management is carried out by submitting SPJ to KONI and DISPORA, as well as proper planning, in accordance with the opinion of Agus Kristiyanto (2011). The overall results show that Bengkalis Fencing Club has a good coaching system but still needs improvement in several aspects.

Posterior glenohumeral dislocations are rare, comprising only 4 percent of all shoulder dislocations. While early and accurate diagnosis of a posterior dislocation increases the likelihood of success with non-operative management, traditional rehabilitation may not adequately address the sensorimotor deficits that are evident following dislocation. Restoration of the sensorimotor system is critical to successfully return a throwing athlete safely to sports. The use of functional neuromuscular rehabilitation (FNR) attempts to address deficits in the compromised sensorimotor system. With a good understanding of the specific demands placed on the overhead athlete’s shoulder, knowledge of glenohumeral and scapulothoracic joints’ biome-chanics, respect for the athlete’s level of symptoms and pain, adherence to soft tissue healing, and application of a rehabilitation program that incorporates FNR, an athlete can successfully return to a high level of competition following an acute posterior glenohumeral dislocation.

This study used focus group interviews in a qualitative research study to explore the problems and improvements in the management system of a college soccer team. The participants of this study were six college soccer team managers. Focus group interviews were conducted to collect data, and thematic coding was applied to refine categories and subcategories. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the study revealed the administrative, financial, and support problems of college soccer. Second, the problems of player selection and career paths were presented. Third, we found problems with student life management, academic management, and athlete education. Fourth, we presented issues related to coaches' salaries, working environment, and coaches' job security. Fifth, for efficient operation, they suggested ways to improve operations, entrance examination system and employment, athlete management, and treatment of coaches.

Pelaihari City is the capital of Tanah Laut district in South Kalimantan, but there are still no adequate training building facilities so that badminton practice is often held in inadequate buildings with a poor system of facilities and infrastructure. This badminton training and development center is also equipped with library facilities as an athlete reading room, management room, cafe, and retail equipment for badminton equipment so that it can accommodate athletes or the surrounding community who want to learn badminton in the city of Pelaihari. With a building standard approach that is used to fulfill functions according to space standards.

Context: Recent data on exertional heat illness (EHI) in high school sports are limited yet warranted to identify specific settings with the highest risk of EHI. Objective: To describe the epidemiology of EHI in high school sports during the 2012/2013–2016/2017 academic years. Design: Descriptive epidemiology study. Setting: Aggregate injury and exposure data collected from athletic trainers working in high school sports in the United States. Patients or Other Participants: High school athletes during the 2012/2013–2016/2017 academic years. Intervention: High School Reporting Information Online surveillance system data from the 2012/2013–2016/2017 academic years were analyzed. Main Outcome Measures: EHI counts, rates per 10,000 athlete exposures (AEs), and distributions were examined by sport, event type, and US census region. EHI management strategies provided by athletic trainers were analyzed. Injury rate ratios with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) compared EHI rates. Results: Overall, 300 EHIs were reported for an overall rate of 0.13/10,000 AE (95% CI, 0.11 to 0.14). Of these, 44.3% occurred in American football preseason practices; 20.7% occurred in American football preseason practices with a registered air temperature ≥90°F and ≥1 hour into practice. The EHI rate was higher in American football than all other sports (0.52 vs 0.04/10,000 AE; injury rate ratio = 11.87; 95% CI, 9.22 to 15.27). However, girls’ cross-country had the highest competition EHI rate (1.18/10,000 AE). The EHI rate was higher in the South US census region than all other US census regions (0.23 vs 0.08/10,000 AE; injury rate ratio = 2.96; 95% CI, 2.35 to 3.74). Common EHI management strategies included having medical staff on-site at the onset of EHI (92.7%), removing athlete from play (85.0%), and giving athlete fluids via the mouth (77.7%). Conclusions: American football continues to have the highest overall EHI rate although the high competition EHI rate in girls’ cross-country merits additional examination. Regional differences in EHI incidence, coupled with sport-specific variations in management, may highlight the need for region- and sport-specific EHI prevention guidelines.

The meaning and nature of athlete representation in sport governance is broad and goes beyond formalistic delegate models and voting rights accounts. This article explores the meaning and nature of representation in the context of intercollegiate sport governance. Interviews were conducted with intercollegiate athlete representatives and athlete representative administrative advisors to gain an understanding of how and why athlete representatives carried out their roles. Findings revealed that the meaning and motivations of athlete representation were based on the institutionalized deliberative democratic governance system. Representation meant standing and acting for the power of the athlete voice and having the capacity to generate the athlete voice into legislation and decision making. The performative role of representatives involved self-accountability, where they accepted responsibility to engage in a deliberative process of collective decision making. Implications for practice and future research on athlete representation in a deliberative democratic sport governance system are presented.

Optimization of student achievement is carried out with various efforts, including participating in training for preparation for achievement matches. Students of the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) Surabaya State University (Unesa) who attend training often apply for dispensation not to attend lectures. This has an impact on the quality of learning because students are constrained by place and time so they cannot attend lectures and are only given assignments. So, a system is needed so that student-athletes can take online lectures that are more flexible in time and place. But, FIKK Unesa does not yet have an online lecture system for students. Therefore, this study aims to design and build a Moodle learning management system for student-athletes at FIKK Unesa. The method used in designing and creating the system is waterfall using the Moodle LMS framework. The results showed that the Moodle LMS that had been designed and built could run and function properly.

Managing the balance of academic and athletic responsibilities at university is a serious challenge for student athletes. This phenomenological case study illuminates how one individual successfully managed his study-sport balance at university, and how such experiences shaped his life. Through two semi-structured interviews, the participant Fung Ka Ki, a former student athlete turned international footballer, made sense of his lived experiences at university and achievements post-university. Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) was employed for the qualitative analysis. Two themes were derived: 1) Deploying athletic wisdom to inform life coping strategies, 2) Wellbeing through intellect and body developing together as a system. The findings provide insights into how mental and physical discipline may complement each other to create deep existential wellbeing. The study contributes to the on-going debate on whether high performance athletes should further their studies at university, and indicates ways sports and wellbeing practitioners may support student athletes more effectively.

This wrong activity is due to heating does not meet the requirements, excessive fatigue, especially in the muscles, and wrong in doing sports movements. The most common injury cases, usually too ambitious to complete training targets or want to improve the training phase. A good coach will always pay attention to the state of the athlete from all aspects, one of which is from the physical state of the athlete. This means that the trainer knows how to manage the athlete not to get injured, and if he has an injury quickly know how to help, especially for minor injuries. However, not all coaches understand how the injury and how it helps for athletes. That is why there is a need for training in sports injuries and how to help for coaches who are expected to be used by athletes.

The article substantiates the need to develop a technology for managing the physical training system of cross-country skiers. The goals and content of the procedural components of the ski racer’s physical training system are presented. The procedures for managing, constructing and interacting the components of the physical training system and the essence of this process in the sports training of cross-country skiers are described. Based on a logical and methodological analysis of the periodization of ski racers’ sports training and training process planning, the author’s vision of the technology for managing the physical training system of ski racers is presented. The technology is presented as a certain order of procedures for the interaction of methods and techniques for managing the regulations of training influences on ski racers, during which the athlete’s optimal readiness to realize their physical and psychological potential in training and competitive activities is formed. The technology includes a set of management procedures: diagnostics, forecasting, implementation, correction, organization, which allow regulating the procedural components of the physical training system. The article characterizes all control procedures stated in the technology. The diagnostic procedure includes the implementation of the cognitive-control component of the system. The essence of this component is to identify the athlete’s physical readiness to master the content of physical training. Physical readiness is determined by the dependence of factors that inform about the ability of body systems to perform specific motor activities. The forecasting procedure includes the implementation of the model and forecast component of the system. Forecasting is related to management because it provides reasonable assumptions that the coach uses to make management decisions. The implementation procedure includes the development and implementation of the software and management component of the system. The purpose of the procedure is to develop the content of physical training and its implementation in the form of modular-block programming in the microcycle, mesocycle, and macrocycle. The author presents the modular-block programming of physical training as a comprehensive algorithm for the work of a coach, athlete and doctor to manage, develop and improve the athlete’s educational and training activities. The main variables of the algorithm are the parameters of the loads performed by the athlete in modules and blocks. The correction procedure includes the development and implementation of the synergetic component of the system. The purpose of the procedure is to analyze and synthesize training and competitive results. The organization procedure includes the development and implementation of the organizational and management component of the system. The purpose of the procedure is to organize forms of the training process taking into account external factors.

Integrated product-service packages (hybrid products) can open new markets and target groups to companies. However, existing approaches to service or product development do not sufficiently address simultaneous development and domain-specific issues. A very promising new field for such bundles is the health and fitness industry. In this research, we designed and built an IT-supported training system for running, the Mobile Sports Companion (MSC), which closely interlocks a product and corresponding services using an iterative development process. We tested the pilot system with 14 recreational athletes. The results of the field test show that the MSC proved to be a promising tool to offer athletes an effective individual, flexible, and mobile training. However, the system, as it is, did not sufficiently represent the human trainer behind it, thus lowering its acceptance and the credibility of its recommendations. Our next step is to integrate features that could strengthen the athlete-trainer relationship. The MSC could turn out to be a promising field for future e-business applications in the sports service industry.

Category: Ankle; Sports; Other Introduction/Purpose: In order to monitor student-athlete health, identify risk factors associated with sports injuries, and develop and evaluate injury prevention programs at the collegiate level, it is necessary to implement and utilize high quality sports injury surveillance systems. The Pac-12 Health Analytics Program (HAP) addresses this need by standardizing electronic medical record entries and common data elements across all Pac-12 institutions. The literature suggests that collegiate student-athletes are at higher risk for certain injuries that have chronic effects on their health-related quality of life. Previous investigations utilizing the HAP database found ankle injuries to be the second most prevalent lower extremity injury in this population. This study aims to build upon these previous findings and further characterize below-knee injuries using the HAP database. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed archival data from Pac-12 student-athletes followed in the HAP database, a deidentified Pac-12 conference-wide sports injury surveillance system used to study the epidemiological characteristics of varsity student- athletes from 2017-2020. Data collection is part of the standard of care provided by varsity athletic trainers and entered into the Presagia Sports electronic medical record. This data is then deidentified and automatically sent to the Pac-12 for inclusion in the HAP. Individual authorization forms were obtained from student-athlete participants prior to deidentification and inclusion in the HAP database. Student-athletes who sustained a lower extremity (LE) injury below the knee were included. Data on demographics and injury characteristics were analyzed. Results: Foot and ankle injuries account for 20.3% (6,776/33,432) of all database injuries, representing 23.4% (2,214/9,444) of all student-athletes. Female-athletes (26.8%) had a higher injury rate than male-athletes (20.9%) (p<0.00001). Lower leg injuries were categorized as ankle (43.1%), foot (25.3%), lower leg (18.4%), and ankle/heel (13.2%). Ligament sprain was the most common injury type (38.1%) followed by tendinopathy (14.4%) and inflammation (7.9%). Males were more likely to sustain an acute injury (81.8%) than females (63.7%). Injuries most commonly occurred on synthetic (46.0%). Common mechanisms of injury (MOI) included running (21.6%), contact with another player (18.4%), and contact with a hard object (14.8%). Injuries most commonly occurred during in-season (48.9%) compared to off-season (25.5%) and pre-season (20.9%) segments of the competitive year. Half of injuries (50.0%) resulted in lost time from sport, however only 6.7% of injuries were season ending and only 2 injuries (<0.01%) resulted in medical retirement. Conclusion: Most ankle injuries occurred on synthetic surfaces, suggesting an opportunity for enhanced monitoring and prehabililitation programs for sports that utilize these types of surfaces. Further investigations accounting for covariates and risk factors may inform injury prevention strategies and improve student-athlete wellness. While the Pac-12 HAP database is early in development, this report demonstrates the potential value that injury surveillance systems can provide for student-athlete health. The Pac-12 HAP is a collaborative and effective injury database, setting the standard for other regional conferences.

Hip and groin pain is a common condition in professional athletes and may result from an acute injury or from chronic, repetitive trauma. It is responsible for significant morbidity, which leads to time away from training and competition, and may result in a career-ending injury. The anatomic and biomechanical causes for hip and groin injuries are among the most complex and controversial in the musculoskeletal system. This makes clinical differentiation and subsequent management difficult because of the considerable overlap of symptoms and signs. This review article will evaluate several pathologic conditions of the hip and groin in athletes, divided into acute (secondary to single event) and chronic (secondary to altered biomechanical load or repetitive microtrauma) injuries, with an emphasis on imaging in the diagnosis of these injuries. Appropriate use of imaging along with clinical findings can allow accurate diagnosis and subsequent appropriate management of these patients to ultimately allow return to athletic activity.

Objective: To describe the conservative management of a young athlete with extension-based (EB) low back pain (LBP). Background: We present the case of a 15-year-old female high school gymnast with a 4-year history of EB LBP. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a healed spondylolysis and significant atrophy with fatty infiltrate of the lumbar multifidi muscles (LMM). She had several courses of outpatient orthopaedic rehabilitation that focused on core muscle strengthening (improving activation and strength of the LMM and transversus abdominus muscle in a neutral pelvic position) without long-lasting improvement. She was unable to tolerate higher levels of training or compete. Differential Diagnosis: The LMM are rich in muscle spindles and provide continuous feedback to the central nervous system about body position. Atrophy and fatty infiltrate of the LMM can compromise neuromuscular function and contribute to dysfunctional movement patterns that place a greater demand on lumbar spine structures. Ongoing motor-control impairments perpetuate nociceptive input, leading to central sensitization. Treatment: The athlete had difficulty controlling trunk extension during sport-specific activities; she moved early and to a greater extent in the lumbar spine. The aim of the treatment was to teach the athlete how to control her tendency to overload her lumbar spine when bending backward, thus reducing nociceptive input from lumbar spine structures and desensitizing the nervous system. Uniqueness: Treating EB LBP by addressing motor-control impairments and cognitive-affective factors as opposed to core strengthening. Conclusions: Activity modification, bracing, and traditional core-strengthening exercises may not be the most appropriate treatment for athletes experiencing EB LBP. Addressing cognitive-affective factors in addition to correcting maladaptive motor behavior and moving in a pain-free range reduces nociceptive input, desensitizes the nervous system, and allows athletes to gain control over their pain.

AbstractThe purpose of the present study was to demonstrate an inductive approach for dynamically modelling sport-related injuries with a probabilistic graphical model. Dynamic Bayesian Network (DBN), a well-known machine learning method, was employed to illustrate how sport practitioners could utilize a simulatory environment to augment the training management process. 23 University of Iowa female student-athletes (from 3 undisclosed teams) were regularly monitored with common athlete monitoring technologies, throughout the 2016 competitive season, as a part of their routine health and well-being surveillance. The presented work investigated the ability of these technologies to model injury occurrences in a dynamic, temporal dimension. To verify validity, DBN model accuracy was compared with the performance of its static counterpart. After 3 rounds of 5-fold cross-validation, resultant DBN mean accuracy surpassed naïve baseline threshold whereas static Bayesian network did not achieve baseline accuracy. Conclusive DBN suggested subjectively-reported stress two days prior, subjective internal perceived exertions one day prior, direct current potential and sympathetic tone the day of, as the most impactful towards injury manifestation.

In sport of mind, competitions are related to abstract game activities, which include chess, checkers, go, sports bridge, sports poker, backgammon, etc. Based on the use of the method of scientific knowledge, the specificity of the intellectual training of intellectual-athletes, which is a priority aspect of the training process, is determined. The system of training intellectual-athletes is carried out both from general pedagogical positions and from the process of applied and specialized training and upbringing. Training in such sports consists in the orientation of the training process on: formation of cognitive, creative, practical, communicative and social competences; the implementation of specific principles of the organization of educational and cognitive activities, such as the strength of knowledge assimilation, the connection between theory and practice, emotional and problem-based learning, thoroughness, cyclical development, modeling, computerization and self-management – sports training acquires a new systematic quality training; the use of specific training tools and methods used in solving intellectual training tasks. The intellectual training of an athlete is aimed at the understanding of sports activities and the development of intellectual abilities, without which it is impossible to solve the tasks of sports training in intellectual sports. This training is directly related to the formation of the athlete's motivation, his volitional and special mental training, training in sports technique and tactics, improvement of sportsmanship. Intellectual training is determined by two main aspects: intellectual education and education of intellectual abilities. Intellectual education is related to the transfer of knowledge, and is therefore considered as part of theoretical training. Intellectual abilities as the highest level of cognitive activity and which is associated with the development of the quality of memory, mental abilities and types of thinking. In the process of intellectual training, specific means and methods of learning are used, which contribute to the development of intelligence.

Heart rate monitoring is becoming more and more important in the development of modern health industry. At present, wireless sensor network equipment is mainly used to realize the real-time or periodic monitoring of human heart rate, so as to realize the health management of specific people. At the same time, the monitoring and analysis technology of heart rate is also widely used in special competitive sports. Through the real-time monitoring and analysis of athletes’ heart rate, we can feedback and analyze their corresponding competitive state in real time, so as to monitor the sudden state of athletes, and also provide a basis for the improvement of athletes’ later sports level. Based on this, this paper will use a single-chip microcomputer as the central data processing unit of the monitoring system at the hardware level, and inertial sensor and heart rate sensor at the sensor level. The system will design data acquisition module, motion positioning module, low-power module, athlete heart rate acquisition module, and motion state recognition module. Aiming at the low accuracy of traditional heart rate acceleration motion wireless sensor in competitive sports athletes’ heart rate recognition and motion state recognition, this paper innovatively proposes an athlete heart rate recognition algorithm based on acceleration signal, which extracts the frequency-domain characteristics of motion signal. The time-domain and time-frequency characteristics of athletes’ acceleration signal are used to realize the recognition of athletes’ sports state, and the power spectrum cancellation technology is used to realize the accurate detection of athletes’ heart rate. In order to verify the advantages of the hardware system and algorithm in this paper, three sports with quiet, dynamic, and random dynamic characteristics are selected for experimental verification. The experimental results show that the software algorithm proposed in this paper has obvious accuracy advantages in quiet and dynamic competitive sports compared with the traditional algorithm.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic and Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policy in Indonesia caused health problems for athletes, such as mental, psychological, nutritional, decreased maximum oxygen consumption (VO2Max), loss of strength and muscle mass. Athletes are also individuals who are at risk of being infected Covid-19 so they need health care services. This effort is being realized by the National Sports Hospital (RSON). This study aims to explain the athlete's health maintenance activities by RSON during the Covid-19 pandemic, to analyze the possible gaps, and how to overcome them. This research uses descriptive method and case stnudy approach based on the experience of researchers as RSON medical staff and secondary data from March 1, 2020 to July 31, 2020 starting from the preparation stage with system approach (man, money, material, method, machine), implementation stage (promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative), and output. The entire data was then analyzed based on literature. The results showed that RSON was able to make preparations that support athlete health care, such as socialization and screening for covid-19, treatment and rehabilitation of athletes both directly and online media. Some conditions that still have gaps such as the lack of athletes being screened, and not yet doing routine monitoring of athlete's health during the self training period can be overcome by resocialization and starting routine monitoring activities. Activities such as monitoring the athlete's diet, increasing the role in the prevention of covid-19 in disabled athletes, and collaboration with trainers and team management in the "return to play" program after the PSBB period can be started by RSON to optimize athlete health care services. Manajemen Pemeliharaan Kesehatan Atlet selama Pandemi Covid-19: Studi Kasus di Rumah Sakit Olahraga Nasional AbstrakPandemi coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) dan kebijakan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) di Indonesia menimbulkan masalah kesehatan pada atlet, seperti mental, psikologis, gizi, penurunan konsumsi oksigen maksimal (VO2Max), dan hilangnya kekuatan dan massa otot. Atlet juga individu yang beresiko terinfeksi covid-19 sehingga perlu upaya pemeliharaan kesehatan. Upaya ini sedang berusaha diwujudkan oleh Rumah Sakit Olahraga Nasional (RSON). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kegiatan pemeliharaan kesehatan atlet yang dilakukan oleh RSON selama masa pandemi covid-19, menganalisis kemungkinan gap yang terjadi, dan cara mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan studi kasus berdasarkan pengalaman peneliti sebagai staf medis RSON dan data sekunder sejak 1 Maret 2020 sampai dengan 31 Juli 2020 mulai dari tahap persiapan melalui pendekatan sistem (man, money, material, method, machine), tahap pelaksanaan (promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif), dan output. Keseluruhan data kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan studi literatur. Pada hasil didapatkan RSON mampu melakukan persiapan yang mendukung terlaksananya pemeliharaan kesehatan atlet yaitu berupa sosialisasi dan screening covid-19, pengobatan, dan rehabilitasi atlet baik secara langsung maupun media daring. Beberapa kondisi yang masih terjadi gap seperti kurangnya jumlah atlet yang terjaring di dalam screening, dan belum dilakukannya monitoring rutin kesehatan atlet selama masa latihan mandiri dapat diatasi dengan resosialisasi dan memulai kegiatan monitoring rutin. Kegiatan seperti pengawasan terhadap pola makan atlet, peningkatan peran RSON dalam pencegahan infeksi covid-19 pada atlet difabel, dan kerjasama RSON dengan pelatih dan manajemen tim dalam program “return to play” setelah masa PSBB juga dapat mulai dilakukan oleh RSON guna mengoptimalkan pelayanan pemeliharaan kesehatan atlet.

One of the ways that the government restricts the development of regional elite sports is to seek to establish a variety of athlete development facilities. The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the implementation of performance development management for athletes in the Central Java Student Sports Development and Training Center (PPLOP). The research method uses explanatory research techniques. The research was conducted at the Central Java Student Physical Education and Training Center (BPPLOP). Research data sources are individuals directly related to PPLOP, including PPLOP athletes, athletes and other related party managers, coaches, and performance development coordinators. Techniques for collecting data through observations, interviews and documents. The results show that the performance management of PPLOP athletes in Central Java has achieved the best results in performance development, education, academic development and religious development. The process of improving PPLOP Central Java performance is correct, as evidenced by the performance of athletes in sports, science, and religion. The existence of the promotion and dismantling system has become a reference for the school and the PPLOP Center in Central Java to implement performance promotion management.Manajemen pembinaan prestasi atlet pemusatan pembinaan dan latihan olahraga pelajar Jawa Tengah AbstrakSalah satu cara pemerintah dalam mengkondisikan pembinaan cabang olahraga unggulan di daerah adalah dengan mengupayakan berdirinya beberapa institusi pembinaan atlet. Sumber data penelitian adalah individu yang berhubungan langsung dengan PPLOP, antara lain pengurus, pelatih, koordinator pengembangan kinerja atlet PPLOP, atlet dan pihak terkait lainnya. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa penerapan manajemen kinerja atlet PPLOP di Jawa Tengah mendapatkan prestasi terbaik dalam pengembangan kinerja, pendidikan, pengembangan akademik, dan pengembangan keagamaan. Proses peningkatan prestasi PPLOP Jawa Tengah sudah baik dan benar, terbukti dari prestasi para atlet di bidang olahraga, sains dan agama. Adanya sistem promosi dan degradasi menjadi acuan bagi pelaksanaan manajemen pembinaan prestasi di sekolah maupun di lingkungan Balai PPLOP Jawa Tengah.

The article considers the issues of optimization of sports training of skiers-racers and biathletes with the use of means and methods of complex control as a tool for management and development of special ability to work.
The aim of the study is to optimize the organization of scientific and pedagogical control to determine the level of special performance of skiers-racers and biathletes and to develop practical recommendations for improving management in sports training.
Objectives of the study: to find out the most informative and reliable indicators of psychophysiological state of the body and scientific and pedagogical control to assess the level of special performance of skiers and biathletes and develop practical recommendations for developing special abilities of athletes based on current training.
To manage sports training in order to achieve high sports results, it is necessary to use the results of scientific research and special tests in the process of solving these problems. Pedagogical tests that characterize the level of physical development and fitness, coordination of movements, working memory, special endurance, must meet the specifics of this sport, taking into account the age and individual characteristics of athletes.
For the progression of the athlete it is necessary to conduct systematic pedagogical control with the assessment of various indicators of functional systems that provide reliable and urgent information about the adaptation of the body and restructuring the structure of motor actions under the influence of training lessons.

Introduction. The relevance of the problem is determined – an increase in the number of patients who underwent splenectomy, in the absence of currently developed methodological (clinical) recommendations on admission to training and competitive events.The objective was to develop criteria for admission to training and competitive events, to determine the frequency and volume of medical examinations for this category of persons.Methods and materials. The analysis of the sources of domestic and foreign authors on the management of patients after splenectomy was carried out. We collected the detailed life history, disease history, sports history, information about family history for the development of diseases of the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, hematopoietic organs, analysis of the hospital discharge summary, data evaluation from laboratory and instrumental studies (particularly, ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs), ECG with exercise, exercise tests (Martinet-Kushelevsky) in two athletes who underwent splenectomy due to various reasons (blunt abdominal trauma, the spleen rupture in athlete A. N., 14 years old, microspherocytic hemolytic Minkowski-Choffard anemia complicated by sepsis in athlete N. V., 12 years old). The functional fitness indicators taking into account the sports training stage, the results of medical and pedagogical observations during the training process before and after surgery were assessed.Results. In the clinical blood analysis of athlete A. N., there was a slight leukocytosis (leukocytes- 10.94∙109/l), thrombocytosis (platelets – 669∙109/l), no changes in erythron, erythrocytes- 5.46∙1012/l, hemoglobin – 136 g/l, hematocrit – 42.3 %, neutrophils – 4.53∙109/l, lymphocytes – 5.33∙109l. Leukocyte formula by microscopy was without significant pathological changes. The diagnosis was confirmed as: “Reactive thrombocytosis. Condition after splenectomy”. According to the results of IME, there were no absolute contraindications to training and competitive football activities. The athlete received a medical certificate of admission to training and competitive events. In the clinical blood analysis of athlete N.V., there was: erythrocytes – 5.44∙1012/l, hemoglobin – 163 g/l, hematocrit – 44.4 %, leukocytes – 12.2∙109/l, neutrophils – 3.8∙109/l, lymphocytes – 6.4∙109/l, platelets – 515∙109/l. He was taken to the regular medical check-up of a hematologist with the diagnosis: “Hereditary spherocytosis, hemolysis compensation. Condition after splenectomy”. Due to the absence of absolute contraindications for training and competitive football events, the athlete was issued the medical certificate on admission to training and competitive events.Conclusion. A splenectomy history is not an absolute contraindication to sports. The management of an athlete after splenectomy requires an individual approach, taking into account age, sport and stage of sports training, the presence of chronic diseases and/or changes in physical, instrumental and laboratory studies.

Purpose Sport-related concussion is a significant public health concern that requires a multidisciplinary team to appropriately manage. Athletes often report dizziness and imbalance following concussion, and these symptoms can predict increased time to recover. Vestibular diagnostic evaluations provide important information regarding the athlete's oculomotor, gaze stability, and balance function in order to identify deficits for rehabilitation. These measures also describe objective function helpful for determining when an athlete is ready to return to play. The purpose of this clinical focus article is to provide background on the current understanding of the effects of concussion on the peripheral and central vestibular system, as well as information on a protocol that can be used for acute concussion assessment. Case studies describing 3 common postconcussion presentations will highlight the usefulness of this protocol. Conclusion Sport-related concussion is a highly visible disorder with many symptoms that may be evaluated in the vestibular clinic. A thoughtful protocol evaluating the typical presentation of these patients may help guide the multidisciplinary team in determining appropriate management and clearance for return to sport.

Management has a broad meaning. There are many definitions of management theoretically. For example, according to Terry (2008), management is a process consisting of actions that include planning, organizing, driving, and controlling carried out to determine and achieve the goals set using human resources and other sources. This research is expected to provide benefits both theoretically and practically. Theoretically, this research is expected to contribute to further scientific development, especially those related to management in an organization to produce or improve achievement. The positive results from this research can be used as a guide in carrying out the development of athlete achievement in Jambi Province, especially for archery sports. Practically, the results of this study are expected to be input for policymakers and other stakeholders with interest in the management policy of the archery athlete coaching program, especially KONI and archery branch administrators regarding the management system used in Jambi Province, and as consideration for local government in fostering sports organizations and other public organizations.

Starting from 2008 until today, the total number of athletes who represented Ukraine at the Olympic Games and World Championships is 14 people. It was not difficult to calculate that if the runners (men and women) in the selection competitions at the championships of Ukraine showed the selection standard and as a result got into the team for performances in this type of discipline, their number in two types (800, 1500 m) would be 48 participants at the Olympic Games games, and the world championships - 180 people. A simple analysis shows that from 2008 to 2023, Ukrainian middle-distance runners could represent Ukraine in the number of 228 people. It was determined that athletes in many cases at qualifying competitions (Championship of Ukraine and others) do not fulfill their qualifying standards, and lose the opportunity to participate in these forums.
Based, in our opinion, on the correct understanding of the training system for middle-distance runners and its orientation, the main problems that are an obstacle in the implementation of the direction, an integral set in the accumulation of training potential, both in physical, technical and psychological impact on the athlete's body, have been identified. To solve these problems in the management system of middle-distance runner training, we have developed the main components of physical qualities (speed, dexterity, endurance, strength, flexibility), which include pedagogical and anatomical-physiological indicators that affect the development, maintenance, manifestation and promotion of forecasting entry of athletes into sports form, as well as the athlete's performance at the main annual and quadrennial competitions. The peculiarity of the developed components is that they are related to the education of the main physiological systems of the athlete and are aimed at the development of physical qualities and improvement of technical skills.

Background: The management of the adolescent athlete after initial shoulder instability remains controversial. Hypothesis: Individual risk factors in athletes with shoulder instability who are managed nonoperatively can be integrated into a scoring system that can predict successful return to sport. Study Design: Retrospective cohort study. Level of Evidence: Level 4. Methods: A total of 57 scholastic athletes with primary anterior shoulder instability who were managed nonoperatively were reviewed. Success was defined as a return to index sport at the same level and playing at least 1 subsequent season without missed time as a result of the shoulder. Patient-specific risk factors were individually evaluated, and odds ratios were calculated. A 10-point Nonoperative Injury Severity Index Score (NISIS) incorporated the risk factors for failure. This score was then retrospectively applied with regression analysis and a chi-square analysis to determine the overall optimal score that predicted failure of nonoperative management. Results: In total, 6 risk factors for failure were included in the NISIS: age (>15 years), bone loss, type of instability, type of sport (contact vs noncontact), male sex, and arm dominance. Overall, 79% of patients treated nonoperatively were able to successfully return to sport. Nearly all (97%) low-risk patients (NISIS <7) successfully returned to sport, while only 59% of high-risk patients returned to sport, a relative risk of 12.2 ( P = 0.001). High-risk patients with unipolar bone loss successfully returned (100%), but 67% of high-risk patients with bipolar bone loss failed. Conclusion: The NISIS is a simple and effective clinical tool to determine successful nonoperative management following anterior shoulder instability and may be helpful in guiding decision making when presented with the unstable shoulder in the scholastic athlete.

Aim: to summarize the data published in our country and abroad on the diagnosis of cardiac complications after COVID‑19 and to compare it with our own experience of examining such athletes.Materials and methods: open data sources such as eLibrary, Scopus, PubMed etc. were used as a scientific base to achieve the set goal, a meta-analysis of 42 domestic and foreign literature sources was carried out upon the results of post‑COVID changes in athletes. Besides that, the indicators of 11467 athletes, aged from 16 to 45 years, were studied who have been playing for the Moscow national team and who passed in‑depth medical examination on the basis of Sports Medicine Clinic in Moscow Scientific and Practical Center of Medical Rehabilitation, Restorative and Sports Medicine.Results: the prevalence of myocarditis in mild COVID‑19 in athletes does not exceed 1 %, arrhythmia does not exceed 9 %. Classical cardiovascular screening is sufficient for their detection in most cases. If hospitalization is necessary, the risks increase for myocarditis up to 7.2 %, for myocardial infarction up to 4,7 %, for other cardiac complications up to 3–14 % and require advanced diagnostics. For optimal resource management in the healthcare system, a working algorithm for examining athletes returning to trainings after a previous COVID‑19 is proposed.Conclusion: in most cases a classical cardiovascular screening is enough for symptomatic individuals returning to sports trainings after the COVID‑19. However, additional examinations, including loading tests and MRT, are required to find out possible latent ongoing pathology as well to evaluate prospects for the athlete.
