The P300 component of the average evoked potential was recorded at Pz during two divided visual field tasks. During a lexical decision task, reaction time and P300 latency were faster to stimuli in the right visual field, indicating that the latency of the P300 may be a useful measure in laterality research. Анотація:
The experiments in this thesis examined the roles of stimulus configuration on conditioned cue preference (CCP) learning by asking what information is processed and by which neural substrates. Results from Experiments 1 and 2 showed that lesions of the lateral nucleus of the amygdala (LNA) but not of fimbria-fornix (FF) impaired CCP learning when the cues paired with food during training were distinct from those not paired with food in either of two different apparatuses. In Experiments 3 and 4 LNA lesions increased the size of the CCP when the cues paired with food and no food were ambiguous

Estas características individuales, podrían interferir al caracterizar la cognición entendida como la manera en que se coordinan las redes para realizar una tarea, como mantener la atención, recordar, o procesar información visual. Cómo estos aspectos individuales coexisten con mecanismos generales es, por tanto, una pregunta clave en investigación sobre conectividad cerebral. Este trabajo estudia la relación entre marcadores de conectividad específicos tanto de sujetos, como de tareas.
