This study aimed to describe the diversity of plants found in Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park. The analysis of plant diversity was carried out by applying the quadratic method. Twenty-five squares were constructed for sampling. The results showed that there were thirty two (32) plant tribes consisting of 256 individuals in the exposed area and 899 individuals in the burial area. Data on plant diversity were then mapped to be correlated with Basic Competence (BC) at each level of the educational unit. Temperature, rainfall and extreme weather have been indicated to affect the phenological patterns and forest productivity by shifting flowering and fruiting seasons and patterns, as well as crop production. Dipterocarpaceae are high value trees for both timber and non-timber forest products. This study aims to determine the response of phenological patterns of flowering and fruiting of Dipterocarps to climate variables. The study was conducted at Way Canguk Research Station of the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (BBSNP), Lampung during May-November 2012 by analyzing 14 years (1998-2012) of

Abstract In Southeast Asian dipterocarp forests, a general flowering (GF) occurs at the multiannual interval. At this phenomenon, at least 40% of the trees in the stands flower in synchrony, dominated by the flowering of the Dipterocarpaceae family that hypothesized to be caused by changes in climate factors, especially ENSO. This study aimed to determine the pattern of flowering trees in Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park (BBSNP) and to determine a model for predicting flowering patterns associated with climatic factors in 2021-2050. One of the problems that faced by national parks in Indonesia is encroachment. In many cases, most of the problems were caused by the high level of community dependency on the natural resources around the area. The Bukit Barisan National Park (TNBBS) with a total area of 365,000 ha was also has similar problems. Considering this problems, we need an effort to solve the problems by addressing these issues by reviewing socio-economic characteristics of encroacher who live at TNBBS first. Abstract Areas around national parks offer beautiful landscapes with a promising appeal for nature-based tourism. It provides alternative livelihoods for communities living in nearby settlements and supports conservation efforts. However, suitability assessment for nature-based tourism usually employs time-consuming analytical or spatial approaches that require extensive data collection and full technical analysis, making it challenging for local communities to conduct the assessment independently. Thus, this study aimed to provide a rapid parametric assessment that can immediately be utilized
