Анотація:
The study explored the calculation of uncertainty based on available cross-section covariance data and computational tool on fuel lattice levels, which included pin cell and the fuel assembly models. Uncertainty variations due to temperatures changes and different fuel compositions are the main focus of this analysis. Selected assemblies and unit pin cells were analyzed according to the OECD LWR UAM benchmark specifications. Criticality and uncertainty analysis were performed using TSUNAMI-2D sequence in SCALE 6.1. It was found that uncertainties increase with increasing temperature, whilekinfdecreases. This increase in the uncertainty is due to the increase in sensitivity of the largest contributing reaction of uncertainty, namely, the neutron capture reaction238U(n,γ) due to the Doppler broadening. In addition, three types (UOX, MOX, and UOX-Gd2O3) of fuel material compositions were analyzed. A remarkable increase in uncertainty inkinfwas observed for the case of MOX fuel. The increase in uncertainty ofkinfin MOX fuel was nearly twice the corresponding value in UOX fuel. The neutron-nuclide reaction of238U, mainly inelastic scattering (n,n′), contributed the most to the uncertainties in the MOX fuel, shifting the neutron spectrum to higher energy compared to the UOX fuel.

Анотація:
This paper presents the qualification of the newly developed Westinghouse lattice physics code PARAGON2. PARAGON2 uses high energy resolution in the solution of the transport equation. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate that PARAGON2 accurately predicts the integral and critical experiments. The integral experiments are used to assess PARAGON2 predictions of fine neutronics parameters such as: resonance integrals and radial profiles of reactions rates, isotopics, and burnup for depleted pellets. The integral experiments considered are: the Hellstrand’s, TRX, and the PIE experiments. For critical experiments, this paper will focus only on VENUS-2 MOX critical experiment. The results obtained for the integral experiments clearly show the good predictions of PARAGON2 with the resonance scattering model which are close to measurement. The PARAGON2 predicted capture reaction rates, temperature coefficients, burnup and isotopic profiles match the measured values both in shape and magnitude. VENUS-2 reactivity prediction is in excellent agreement with the critical measurement value. Also, the standard deviations of measured minus predicted pin-wise fission reaction rates are very good (i.e. ≤ 2%) for both individual assemblies and the whole core.

Introduction: La b-card (Boussignac Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation Device) est un dispositif permettant d'assurer une oxygénation passive continue lors des manoeuvres de compressions/décompressions réalisées dans le cadre d'un arrêt cardiaque. Ce dispositif fonctionne par création d'une valve virtuelle induite par l'accélération d'un débit d'oxygéne via des micro-canalicules. Cette valve est censée s'opposer aux flux de gaz entrant et sortant de la cage thoracique lors des compressions/décompressions. Elle permettrait d'obtenir une pression positive intra thoracique lors des compressions, et une pression intra thoracique négative lors des décompressions. L'expérimentation conduite a pour but de mesurer la pression statique créée dans le dispositif par le débit d'oxygène, ainsi que les valeurs de pressions et de flux générés en intra thoracique. Methods: La b-card est almimentée par un débit d'oxygène de 15 L/min, et connectée via différentes interfaces à un poumon test pourvu de capteurs:-Capteur de pression des voies aériennes (PAW en cm H2O).-Capteur de débit au niveau des voies aériennes.-Capteur de pression “intra thoracique” (PIT max et min; et Pression Expiratoire Intra Thoracique).Les mesures sonrt effectuées sans b-card, puis avec b-card connectée à un masque facial, un masque laryngé, une sonde trachéale.Results: La pression “statique”, celle de la valve virtuelle, mesurée au niveau de la b-card reste stable à 6 cm d'H2O, sous un débit de 15 L/min. Elle permet une résistance à hauteur de cette valeur aux flux de gaz entrant ou sortant du thorax expérimental en fonction des compressions/décompressions. Les pressions intra thoraciques positives mesurées lors des compressions restent équivalentes autour de 25 à 30 cm H2O, et ce quelle que soit l'interface utilisée. Les pressions intra thoraciques négatives mesurées lors des décompressions restent équivalentes autour de 10 à 15 cm d'H2O, et ce quelle que soit l'interface utilisée. Conclusion: Les pressions intra thoraciques obtenues en associant une oxygénation passive par la b-card à des compressions/décompressions continues permettent d'assurer une ventilation efficace et synchrone. Les pressions mesurées au niveau du dispositif sont constamment inférieures à la pression d'ouverture moyenne oesophagienne, ce qui éviterait toute insufflation gastrique.

An important problem in statistical ecology is how to determine the size of an animal population. The best known technique is the capture-recapture technique. A random sample of individuals is captured, tagged in some way and released back into the population. After allowing time for the marked and unmarked individuals to mix sufficiently, a second random sample is taken and the marked ones are observed. Using measure change techniques, we estimate recursively conditional distributions of various quantities.

Context Field-based, portable motion-capture systems can be used to help identify individuals at greater risk of lower extremity injury. Microsoft Kinect-based markerless motion-capture systems meet these requirements; however, until recently, these systems were generally not automated, required substantial data postprocessing, and were not commercially available. Objective To validate the kinematic measures of a commercially available markerless motion-capture system. Design Descriptive laboratory study. Setting Laboratory. Patients or Other Participants A total of 20 healthy, physically active university students (10 males, 10 females; age = 20.50 ± 2.78 years, height = 170.36 ± 9.82 cm, mass = 68.38 ± 10.07 kg, body mass index = 23.50 ± 2.40 kg/m2). Intervention(s) Participants completed 5 jump-landing trials. Kinematic data were simultaneously recorded using Kinect-based markerless and stereophotogrammetric motion-capture systems. Main Outcome Measure(s) Sagittal- and frontal-plane trunk, hip-joint, and knee-joint angles were identified at initial ground contact of the jump landing (IC), for the maximum joint angle during the landing phase of the initial landing (MAX), and for the joint-angle displacement from IC to MAX (DSP). Outliers were removed, and data were averaged across trials. We used intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs [2,1]) to assess intersystem reliability and the paired-samples t test to examine mean differences (α ≤ .05). Results Agreement existed between the systems (ICC range = −1.52 to 0.96; ICC average = 0.58), with 75.00% (n = 24/32) of the measures being validated (P ≤ .05). Agreement was better for sagittal- (ICC average = 0.84) than frontal- (ICC average = 0.35) plane measures. Agreement was best for MAX (ICC average = 0.77) compared with IC (ICC average = 0.56) and DSP (ICC average = 0.41) measures. Pairwise comparisons identified differences for 18.75% (6/32) of the measures. Fewer differences were observed for sagittal- (0.00%; 0/15) than for frontal- (35.29%; 6/17) plane measures. Between-systems differences were equivalent for MAX (18.18%; 2/11), DSP (18.18%; 2/11), and IC (20.00%; 2/10) measures. The markerless system underestimated sagittal-plane measures (86.67%; 13/15) and overestimated frontal-plane measures (76.47%; 13/17). No trends were observed for overestimating or underestimating IC, MAX, or DSP measures. Conclusions Moderate agreement existed between markerless and stereophotogrammetric motion-capture systems. Better agreement existed for larger (eg, sagittal-plane, MAX) than for smaller (eg, frontal-plane, IC) joint angles. The DSP angles had the worst agreement. Markerless motion-capture systems may help clinicians identify individuals at greater risk of lower extremity injury.

The simultaneous operation of multiple different semiconducting metal oxide (MOX) gas sensors is demanding for the readout circuitry. The challenge results from the strongly varying signal intensities of the various sensor types to the target gas. While some sensors change their resistance only slightly, other types can react with a resistive change over a range of several decades. Therefore, a suitable readout circuit has to be able to capture all these resistive variations, requiring it to have a very large dynamic range. This work presents a compact embedded system that provides a full, high range input interface (readout and heater management) for MOX sensor operation. The system is modular and consists of a central mainboard that holds up to eight sensor-modules, each capable of supporting up to two MOX sensors, therefore supporting a total maximum of 16 different sensors. Its wide input range is archived using the resistance-to-time measurement method. The system is solely built with commercial off-the-shelf components and tested over a range spanning from 100 Ω to 5 GΩ (9.7 decades) with an average measurement error of 0.27% and a maximum error of 2.11%. The heater management uses a well-tested power-circuit and supports multiple modes of operation, hence enabling the system to be used in highly automated measurement applications. The experimental part of this work presents the results of an exemplary screening of 16 sensors, which was performed to evaluate the system’s performance.

Анотація:
National energy policy drawn up by the government through Energy Mix Target 2025 (Presidential Regulation No.5/2006) is still dominated by fossil fuel. Moreover, it is coupled with high dependence on fossil fuel, increasing demand of energy and standard of living and high rate population growth, it can turn Indonesia into one of the biggest emitter in the future. On 2009, the government has pledged a non-binding commitment to reduce country emissions by 26% in 2020. This aspiring target requires great efforts besides reliying on current strategies such as energy mix improvements, the switch to less-carbon intensive fuels and renewable resources deployment as well as conservation. Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is one of the climate change mitigation tools with the technological capability to reduce CO2 in substantial amount and deep cut particularly on energy sector. CCS is typically defined as the integrated process of CO2 separation at industrial plants, transportation to storage sites and injection into subsurface formations. This paper explains the possibility of CCS potential deployment in Indonesia by reviewing required components and provides comprehensive understanding in each CCS key lements.

Since the beginning of the 1990s, due to international regulations on air quality, a large number of flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) installations have been constructed in the Polish coal-fired power industry. Thanks to that, SO2 capture in this industry increased to ca. 90%. Since wet lime or fluidized bed boilers were mostly used for FGD purposes, a significant increase in the domestic demand for lime sorbents has been reported. Between 1994 and 2019, it has increased from virtually zero before 1994 to about 3.3–3.4 million tpy (tonnes per year) today. On the basis of official governmental data and completed surveys of the Polish power companies, the paper analyses the process of the implementation of FGD in Poland along with limestone sorbents consumption and FGD gypsum production in the Polish coal-fired power plants. It also presents the current and potential limestone resource base for production of limestone sorbents applied in FGD. Electric energy mix in Poland is expected to be changed radically in the coming 30 years. Share of coal-based electricity is still very high—ca. 80%—and it will remain dominant for at least next decade. With the next coming FGD installations, further moderate increase of limestone sorbents consumption is expected, up to 3.7 million tpy in 2030. After 2030, a significant, quick decrease of share of coal-fired electricity is expected in Poland, down to max. 30% just before 2050. This will result in a gradual decrease in limestone sorbent demand, to max. 1.3 million tpy before 2050 and virtually zero after 2050, which will be followed by collapse of FGD gypsum production.

Highly dispersed Mn–Ce binary metal oxides supported on carbon nanofibers (MnOx–CeO2/CNFs(OX)) were prepared for Hg0 removal from coal-fired flue gas. The loading value of the well-dispersed MnOx–CeO2 was much higher than those of many other reported supports, indicating that more active sites were loaded on the carbon nanofibers. In the present study, 30 wt % metal oxides (15 wt % MnOx and 15 wt % CeO2) were successfully deposited on the carbon nanofibers, and the sorbent yielded the highest Hg0 removal efficiency (>90%) within 120–220 °C under a N2/O2 atmosphere. An increase in the amount of highly dispersed metal oxides provided abundant active species for efficient Hg0 removal, such as active oxygen species and Mn4+ cations. Meanwhile, the carbon nanofiber framework provides the pathway for charge transfer during the heterogeneous Hg0 capture reaction processes. Under a N2+6%O2 atmosphere, a majority of Hg0 was removed via chemisorption reactions. The effects of flue gas composition were also investigated. O2 replenished the active oxygen species on the surface and thus greatly promoted the Hg0 removal efficiency. SO2 had an inhibitory effect on Hg0 removal, but NO facilitated Hg0 capture performance. Overall, carbon nanofibers seems to be a good candidate for the support and MnOx–CeO2/CNFs(OX) may be promising for Hg0 removal from coal-fired flue gas.

Crystals with layered structures are crucial for the construction of functional materials exhibiting intercalation, ionic conductivity, or emission properties. Polyoxometalate crystals hybridized with surfactant cations have distinct layered packings due to the surfactants which can form lamellar structures. Introducing metal cations into such polyoxometalate-surfactant hybrid crystals is significant for the addition of specific functions. Here, polyoxomolybdate–surfactant hybrid crystals were synthesized as single crystals, and unambiguously characterized by X-ray structure analyses. Octamolybdate ([Mo8O26]4–, Mo8) and heterocyclic surfactant of 1-dodecylpyridinium (C12py) were employed. The hybrid crystals were composed of α-type and β-type Mo8 isomers. Two crystalline phases containing α-type Mo8 were obtained as pseudopolymorphs depending on the crystallization conditions. Crystallization with the presence of rubidium and cesium cations caused the formation of metal cation-introduced hybrid crystals comprising β-Mo8 (C12py-Rb-Mo8 and C12py-Cs-Mo8). The yield of the C12py-Rb-Mo8 hybrid crystal was almost constant within crystallization temperatures of 279–303 K, while that of C12py-Cs-Mo8 decreased over 288 K. This means that the C12py-Mo8 hybrid crystal can capture Rb+ and Cs+ from the solution phase into the solids as the C12py-Rb-Mo8 and C12py-Cs-Mo8 hybrid crystals. The C12py-Mo8 hybrid crystals could be applied to ion-capturing materials for heavy metal cation removal.

This study addresses the types of innovation activity of SMEs (Small and medium-sized enterprises) in the European Union and its association with financing decisions. The main objective is to capture the cross-country differences in the types of innovation in SMEs and then investigate the relationship between the types of innovations and relevance of a given type of funding. In the empirical examinations, we use the non-parametric methods, due to the nature of the data. We have found out that there are differences in the types of innovation activity of SMEs in the cross-country dimension. We have also confirmed the contingencies between the types of innovations undertaken by SMEs in each cluster of the European countries, which suggests that various types of innovations co-exist. However, we have not found any unified pattern of correlations between the relevance of a given source of financing and a given type of innovation. In this study, the early age thermal properties of a concrete mix containing ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) were investigated and incorporated in a finite-element model. A two-term exponential degree of hydration function was proposed to better capture the early age behavior. An FEM program (ABAQUS) was used to predict the temperature time-history of three 1.2-m (4-ft) cubes cast with a mix design containing 50% replacement of the cement by weight with GGBFS. The FEM predictions match well with the experimental temperature measurements. Results show that using the measurements of the thermal properties, an accurate estimation of the temperature difference can be obtained for a concrete mix containing GGBFS, and engineers can use the estimated temperature difference to take preventative measures to minimize the risk of thermal cracking.

This study aims to analyze the marketing mix applied on the marketing activities and study the obstacles onapplying marketing mix, in addition to analyzing the marketing mix that should be carried out by banana agroindustry of “Askha Jaya Keripik Lampung”. This research was a case study conducted in January to February 2020 at the Bandar Lampung Industrial Chip Center in which data was analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this study showed that the marketing mix carried out by Askha Jaya Agroindustry produced three types of banana chips, namely sliced, rounded and melted. The determination of the selling price was implemented by the cost plus pricing method. The distribution channels were conducted by two channels and promotions was carried out through personal selling, sales promotion, advertising and publicity. Some constraints faced by the agroindustry were the availability of products caused by the scarcity of raw materials, delaying in the process of services to consumers, product delivering time and imaging capture without permission on online marketing. The marketing mix that should be done was reducing the size of the product weight when there was scarcity of raw materials, adding price tags to the shop, and the need of sanctions for those who were not responsible for online marketing.Keywords: agroindustry, banana chips, marketing mix

It is important to reduce the amount of trans-uranium (TRU) produced from the existing nuclear power plants to realize sustainable nuclear energy since the some TRU nuclides remain for a long time and have high radioactivity and radiotoxicity. One of the promising solutions is to transmute the TRU nuclides to those with lesser radioactivity and radiotoxicity in the existing nuclear reactors. In the current scheme, the TRU nuclides are transmuted in fast reactors and/or accelerator-driven-systems, however, this scenario seems unpromising in Japan: after the Fukushima Daiichi accident, it is required to reduce the production of TRU nuclides from the light-water reactors. In the previous studies, a concept of FORSETI was investigated, and a nuclear-fuel cycle simulation code ATRUNCYS was developed to study the low TRU production scenario. The FORSETI concept consists of two types of fuels: 1) UO2 fuels with high-assay low-enriched-uranium, and 2) MOX fuels with highly fissile concentrated plutonium reprocessed from the FORSETI-UO2 fuels. The current paper focuses on the following two scenarios: a) once-recycled scenario with the current fuel design, and b) once-recycled scenario with the FORSETI concept. The two scenarios were compared by using the ATRUNCYS code where the simulation studies showed that the amount, radioactivity, and radiotoxicity of resulting waste can be decreased in the FORSETI concept: In the case 1), the production of TRU nuclides decreased in the UO2 fuel; In the case 2), the fission rate increased and neutron-capture reactions of 240Pu and 241Pu decreased in the MOX fuels.

This essay examines attitudes toward the future in D. W. Griffith's film The Birth of a Nation, focusing in particular on the opposed emotions hope and fear. In doing so, it establishes critical connections between the film's aesthetic philosophy – which is marked by an attempt to control its characters, its audience, and even history itself – and the film's troubling and much-discussed racial politics. Griffith's stated beliefs in the ability of cinema to fully capture the past and in turn to dictate to its audience the terms of the future, manifest themselves everywhere in The Birth of a Nation not only thematically but formally. However, the film sets an impossible task for itself, and where it falls short, its own hopes and fears become dramatically visible. This failure indicates that The Birth of a Nation is ultimately imbricated in the modernist episteme of uncertainty it works to deny and disavow.

ABSTRACTChinese firms are grappling with the four paradigm shifts around electric, connected, shared, and autonomous vehicles that are roiling the rest of the global auto industry. This article, which follows my earlier MOR article about the auto industry (Teece, 2018a), looks briefly at the development of capabilities in these fields by Chinese firms. It then analyzes the prospects for Chinese firms to use them to gain a stronger foothold in the global market, and for multinationals to continue to prosper in China. The paradigm shifts are creating new entry points for Chinese firms to capture value in the industry, and some potential global contenders have demonstrated solid dynamic capabilities in electric vehicles (Geely), shared vehicles (Didi Chuxing), and autonomous vehicles (Baidu). However, multinationals are also moving forward in the same fields and have strong complementary assets such as respected brands and well-honed dynamic capabilities.

4579 Background: Genomic alterations (GA) characteristic of IHCC are well known. We queried whether GA from Pbx would differ from Mbx and Lbx in IHCC. Methods: Hybrid-capture based CGP was performed on 1,268 tissue samples of advanced stage IHCC using Pbx in 1,048 cases and Mbx from 220 cases and 364 Lbx cases (solid tissue: 318-327 genes, Lbx: 72 genes). Tumor mutational burden (TMB) was determined on 0.8-1.1 Mbp of sequenced DNA. PD-L1 expression in tumor cells (Dako 22C3) was measured by IHC. Results: Mbx sites included: lymph nodes (63), soft tissues (47), peritoneum (34), lung/pleura (27), omentum (15), bone (10), abdomen (7), GYN tract (5), liver (4), brain (2), Upper GI (2), colon (2), bladder (1), and adrenal (1). The GA/sample and biomarkers of immuno-oncology (IO) drug response were similarThe KRAS mutation frequency including G12C alterations was doubled in Mbx compared to Pbx and Lbx (p < 0.001). Frequencies of untargetable GA were similar overall. IDH1 (p < 0.001) and FGFR2 GA known to be enriched in IHCC were less frequent in Mbx than Pbx. Both IDH1 and FGFR2 were identified in Lbx. GA in STK11 (p < 0.001) and SMAD4 (p = 0.0016) were more frequently identified in Mbx. Conclusions: GA found in Pbx vs Mbx and Lbx in IHCC are significantly different; the Mbx cohort features greater KRAS and lower IDH1 and FGFR2 GA. Lbx detected more IDH1 GA than Mbx. This suggests that the Mbx group may contain non-IHCC cases whose metastatic lesions were actually derived from other primary sites and incorrectly assigned the diagnosis of IHCC. [Table: see text]

Abstract Field plot studies were conducted to measure the efficacy of Capture(R) insecticide/miticide alone and in combinations for the control of spider mites in cotton. “D&PL 41“ cotton was planted 15 Apr in rows spaced 40 inches apart. Plots used in this study were 6 rows wide and 150 ft long (0.07 A) and were irrigated on 4 Jul and 12 Jul. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with 4 replications of 4 treatments, including an untreated check plot. Foliar miticide treatments were topically applied using a ground sprayer calibrated to deliver 10 gal of solution per acre through two 6X hollow cone nozzles per row at 30 psi and 2 mph. One spray application was made on 8 Aug. Mite density levels were estimated in the field on 1 Aug (pretrt), 14 Aug, 16 Aug, and 20 Aug (at 6, 8, and 12 days posttreatment, respectively) by counting the number of adult female mites on 10 infested leaves per plot with the aid of a 5X lens. Orthene(R) insecticide was applied on 21 Jul, 3 Aug, and 16 Aug to eliminate western flower thrips as a factor in miticide evaluation. During the experiment, the plots received 2.2 inches of rain on 7 Jul, 0.2 inch on 8 Jul, 1.5 inch on 3 Aug, and 1.8 inch on 10 Aug.

This paper presents an assessment of the cost performance of CO2 capture technologies when retrofitted to a cement plant: MEA-based absorption, oxyfuel, chilled ammonia-based absorption (Chilled Ammonia Process), membrane-assisted CO2 liquefaction, and calcium looping. While the technical basis for this study is presented in Part 1 of this paper series, this work presents a comprehensive techno-economic analysis of these CO2 capture technologies based on a capital and operating costs evaluation for retrofit in a cement plant. The cost of the cement plant product, clinker, is shown to increase with 49 to 92% compared to the cost of clinker without capture. The cost of CO2 avoided is between 42 €/tCO2 (for the oxyfuel-based capture process) and 84 €/tCO2 (for the membrane-based assisted liquefaction capture process), while the reference MEA-based absorption capture technology has a cost of 80 €/tCO2. Notably, the cost figures depend strongly on factors such as steam source, electricity mix, electricity price, fuel price and plant-specific characteristics. Hence, this confirms the conclusion of the technical evaluation in Part 1 that for final selection of CO2 capture technology at a specific plant, a plant-specific techno-economic evaluation should be performed, also considering more practical considerations.

This article aims to reconstruct a possible interpretation of The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism through the concept of elective affinity, which, as I have read, records fundamental implications for social science thinking. I argue that, in contrast to mechanical descriptions, Weber’s model sought to capture social phenomena through interactions between elements with heterogeneous qualitative properties. This effort, in turn, bears a very strong resemblance to the operation of social science models examining the functioning of complex systems. In line with this, I proceed as follows: first, I briefly outline the backbone of the argument of The Protestant Ethic, and then, through the concept of elective affinity, show how it can be fitted into one of the defining lines of current social science approaches. In line with this, I attempt to discuss the argument of The Protestant Ethic in the context of agent-based models. I argue that Weber’s approach can be seen as essentially a prototype of agent-based modeling.

Urban traffic flow forecasting is a critical issue in intelligent transportation systems. Due to the complexity and uncertainty of urban road conditions, how to capture the dynamic spatiotemporal correlation and make accurate predictions is very challenging. In most of existing works, urban road network is often modeled as a fixed graph based on local proximity. However, such modeling is not sufficient to describe the dynamics of the road network and capture the global contextual information. In this paper, we consider constructing the road network as a dynamic weighted graph through attention mechanism. Furthermore, we propose to seek both spatial neighbors and semantic neighbors to make more connections between road nodes. We propose a novel Spatiotemporal Adaptive Gated Graph Convolution Network ( STAG-GCN ) to predict traffic conditions for several time steps ahead. STAG-GCN mainly consists of two major components: (1) multivariate self-attention Temporal Convolution Network ( TCN ) is utilized to capture local and long-range temporal dependencies across recent, daily-periodic and weekly-periodic observations; (2) mix-hop AG-GCN extracts selective spatial and semantic dependencies within multi-layer stacking through adaptive graph gating mechanism and mix-hop propagation mechanism. The output of different components are weighted fused to generate the final prediction results. Extensive experiments on two real-world large scale urban traffic dataset have verified the effectiveness, and the multi-step forecasting performance of our proposed models outperforms the state-of-the-art baselines.

In this study, the SiO2 etch characteristics of perfluorocarbon such as C4F8, C5F8, and C7F8 were investigated using inductively coupled plasmas (ICPs) to study the effect of a high C/F ratio on the etch characteristics of SiO2 for the ICP. The SiO2 rates and etch selectivities over Si3N4 and amorphous carbon layer (ACL) were measured by using the mixtures of Cx(x = 4, 5, 7)F8/Ar/O2. The higher C/F ratio of perfluorocarbon showed lower SiO2 etch rate but exhibited higher etch selectivities over Si3N4 and ACL due to the higher C2 while keeping the similar F in the plasma as observed by optical emission spectroscopy and due to the thicker fluorocarbon layer with more carbon-rich fluorocarbon on the materials surface as observed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Especially, C7F8 is environmentally benign material because it not only has a relatively low global warming potential but also can be captured easily using a capture system (a liquid state at the room temperature). Therefore, C7F8 could be applicable as one of the next generation perfluorocarbon etching materials.

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo desarrollar estrategias de marketing mix que permitan captar clientes en la empresa Servisalud Nort S.A.C. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y correlacional, aplicando un diseño no experimental – transversal. Se consideró como muestra un total de 50 clientes de la empresa Servisalud Nort S.A.C., a los cuales se les aplicó como técnica de recolección de datos la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario. La validez y confiabilidad del instrumento fueron validadas por expertos en la materia y por la aplicación del coeficiente de Conbrach, dando como resultado un 0,980 lo que significa una alta confiabilidad entre los datos. Se identificó que, para captar clientes potenciales, el factor de calidad de servicio, tiene un valor significante en la empresa, el 100% de los clientes afirmaron que en la empresa Servisalud Nort S.A.C. los servicios son de calidad y brindan una atención personalizada. Se concluye que, con la aplicación de estrategia de marketing mix en la empresa Servisalud Nort S.A.C. la empresa podrá incrementar sus ventas y elevar el nivel de captación de clientes.

Salt marsh mosquitoes are major nuisance pests during the periods of high mosquito activity, especially after major storm events. In 2016-2017, Saint John’s County, Florida, USA was struck by two major hurricanes that resulted in multiple outbreaks of salt marsh mosquito populations. To optimize the surveillance of two salt marsh mosquitoes, (Aedes taeniorhynchus and Ae. sollicitans, three types of traps (the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Light trap, Biogents Sentinel (BG) trap and Counter Flow Geometry Model (MMX) trap were tested for their capacity to capture the highest numbers of high quality live specimens for laboratory bioassays. Each trap type was tested in Anastasia State Park, located along a major salt marsh area in Saint John’s County. Although the MMX trap captured most of the salt marsh mosquitoes collected, the numbers of mosquitoes captured was not statistically significant compared to the other trap types. However, there was a significant difference in the numbers between Ae. taeniorhynchus and Ae. sollicitans in the MMX traps. The MMX trap is preferred for capturing salt marsh mosquitoes that are in high quality for the CDC bottle bioassays.

Comparisons of calculated and experimental isotopic compositions of used nuclear fuels can provide valuable information on the quality of nuclear data involved in neutronic calculations. The experimental database used in the present study − containing more than a thousand isotopic ratio measurements for UOX and MOX fuels with burnup ranging from 10 GWd/t up to 85 GWd/t − allowed to investigate 45 isotopic ratios covering a large number of actinides (U, Np, Pu, Am and Cm) and fission products (Nd, Cs, Sm, Eu, Gd, Ru, Ce, Tc, Mo, Ag and Rh). The Integral Data Assimilation procedure implemented in the CONRAD code was used to provide nuclear data trends with realistic uncertainties for Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs) applications. Results confirm the quality of the 235U, 239Pu and 241Pu neutron capture cross sections available in the JEFF-3.1.1 library; slight increases of +1.2 ± 2.4%, +0.5 ± 2.2% and +1.2 ± 4.2% are respectively suggested, these all being within the limits of the quoted uncertainties. Additional trends on the capture cross sections were also obtained for other actinides (236U, 238Pu, 240Pu, 242Pu, 241Am, 243Am, 245Cm) and fission products (103Rh, 153Eu, 154Eu) as well as for the 238U(n,2n) and 237Np(n,2n) reactions. Meaningful trends for the cumulative fission yields of 144Ce, 133Cs, 137Cs and 106Ru for the 235U(nth,f) and 239Pu(nth,f) reactions are also reported.

Solidia Cement is a non-hydraulic binder that is produced in existing cement kilns using the same raw material as Portland cement (PC). The key difference is that the Solidia binder is produced using less limestone and at lower kiln burning temperatures. This translates into reduced CO2 emissions during cement manufacturing (30% reduction). The Solidia concrete solution consists in a mix between the binder, aggregates, sand, water that is reacted with CO2 to form a durable matrix. The curing process captures up to 300 kg of CO2 per ton of cement used. Together, the Solidia cement and concrete reduce the CO2 footprint by down to 70% when compared to conventional cement and concrete products.The advantages to precasters are multiple also:- Full strength in concrete parts achieved within 24 hours thus allowing just-in-time manufacturing and a significant reduction in inventory cost.- Concrete waste from forming process is almost eliminated and equipment cleanup time is significantly reduced because the concrete does not harden until it is exposed to CO2.- The final precast products present better aesthetics than PC-based concretes (no efflorescence, better pigmentation, and better color grading).The first industrial demonstrations (cement production and precast applications) were achieved and confirm the CO2 and energy savings announced.

Solanum betaceum Cav. fruit is renowned for having antioxidant activity because it contains phenolic compounds. This study aimed to determine the effect of some condition factor namely solvent composition, maceration time, liquid-solid ratio, and the particle size of S. betaceum Cav fruit to the total phenolic content and antioxidant activity. The fruit was collected from Temanggung, Wonosobo, and Kopeng, Central Java, Indonesia. The research used single-factor experiments and simplex lattice design (SLD) as an optimization method. Total phenolic content was determined using Folin Ciocalteau reagent, while antioxidant activity was determined using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrilhidrazil (DPPH) radical scavenger activity. The solvent combination which gave the highest responses was ethanol: water (60:40 v/v) with phenolic content of 7.48% w/w EAG. Maceration for 8 hours will produce an extract with the highest total phenolic content (8.76% w/w EAG). The optimal solvent ratio was at 10:1 v/w with total phenolic content of 7.26 ± 0.20% w/w EAG. The optimum particle size was 600-850 μm with a total phenolic content of 6.07 ± 0.18% w/w EAG. Antioxidant activity with the DPPH free radical scavenger capture method from three regions did not show significant results.

Social categories such as ethnicity, migration background, country of origin, socio-economic status and gender exist alongside each other but need to be considered jointly in order to better capture the ever increasing complexity of communities and their inhabitants. In the last decade, the concept of “superdiversity” (Vertovec S. Super-diversity and its implications. Ethnic and Racial Studies 2007;30:1024–54) has emerged: it aims to capture the further diversification of diversity and refers specifically to urban communities where established immigrant groups mix with newly arriving immigrants, adding to the already existing social, ethnic and cultural diversity.

Abstract In cancer genomics, a common source of DNA is formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue from patient surgical samples, where in most cases high quality fresh or frozen tissue samples are not available. FFPE DNA poses many notable challenges for preparing NGS libraries, including low input amounts and highly variable damage from fixation, storage, and extraction methods. Due to the high cost of sequencing and variability of coverage, regions of interest are often specifically enriched using hybrid capture-based approaches, but these methods require a high input of diverse, uniform DNA library to achieve the coverage required for somatic mutation identification in tumor samples.We applied a multi-faceted approach to improving the yield, quality, and coverage from libraries generated from cancer patient sample sets. Using tumor-normal pairs, we evaluated the impact of our method on the sensitivity and accuracy of somatic variant detection. Matched frozen tissue provided a truth set of somatic variants for a particular tumor as well as a gold standard by which we could assess the quality of our FFPE hybrid capture libraries. Combining DNA damage repair and a novel enzymatic fragmentation mix upstream of library preparation not only reduced the false positive rate in somatic variant detection by repairing damage-derived mutations but also improved the library yield, complexity, coverage uniformity, and hybrid capture library quality metrics. The use of unique molecular identifier (UMI)-containing adaptors ensured accurate duplicate marking. Finally, a new PCR master mix boosts the library yield without compromising library quality in FFPE samples ranging from very poor quality to high quality. This combinatorial approach allows even the poorest quality FFPE samples to achieve high quality libraries with sufficient input for hybrid capture in our study. Citation Format: Margaret R. Le but de cet article est de présenter ce concept et d’analyser les facteurs qui le stimulent, de même que les activités de marketing-mix mises en place par les cliniques pour capter ces patients d’un « nouveau genre » et minimiser le risque perçu par ces derniers. Un regard sur l’avenir est aussi proposé en matière de couple produit-marché afin d’envisager les perspectives à développer.
