Verification of the COMSOL Multiphysics solution is based on a comparison with the analytical solution of a single-mode propagation in an annular duct with uniform flow. The verified statement of a single-mode generation in COMSOL Multiphysics is then used to predict the noise of a JT15D turbofan engine in the far field.
