Анотація:
A method called iTEKA, which stands for iterative time elastic kernel averaging, was successfully used for averaging time series. In this paper, we adapt it to GPS trajectories. The key contribution is a denoising procedure that includes an over-sampling scheme, the detection and removal of outlier trajectories, a kernelized time elastic averaging method, and a down-sampling as post-processing. The experiment carried out on benchmark datasets showed that the proposed procedure is effective and outperforms straightforward methods based on medoid or Euclidean averaging approaches.

Summary Combination of asset allocation models is rewarding if (i) the applied risk function is concave and (ii) there is no dominating model. We show that most common risk functions are either concave or at least concave in common applications. In a comprehensive empirical study using standard asset allocation models we find that there is no constantly dominating model. The ranking of the models depends on the data set, the risk function and even changes over time. We find that a simple average of all asset allocation models can outperform each individual model. Focal ERG (FERG) thresholds were determined both by signal averaging and by using lock-in amplifier retrieval of responses in real-time. The present work comprises of thermophysical properties of nitrate-based binary heat transfer fluids of various compositions. For various nitrate mixtures, specific heat, latent heat of fusion, and viscosity as a function of shear rate are reported at various temperatures. Phase diagrams have also been constructed for these binary mixtures using differential scanning calorimetry.
