The subject of machine learning and its associated jargon have become ubiquitous in the past decade as industries seek to develop automated tools and applications and researchers continue to develop new methods for artificial intelligence and improve upon existing ones. Neural networks are a type of machine learning algorithm that can make predictions in complex situations based on input data with human-like (or better) accuracy. Real-time, low-power, and low-cost systems using these algorithms are increasingly used in consumer and industry applications, often improving the efficiency of completing mundane and hazardous tasks traditionally performed by humans. The focus of this work is (1) to explore when and why neural networks may make incorrect decisions in the domain of image-based prediction tasks, (2) the demonstration of a low-power, low-cost machine learning use case using a mask recognition system intended to be suitable for deployment in support of COVID-19-related mask regulations, and (3) the investigation of how neural networks may be implemented on resource-limited technology in an efficient manner using an emerging form of computing.

The general objective of the research presented is to provide specialized therapy treatment through an application called Tera-COVID to patients with sequelae of COVID-19 in Lima Metropolitan, that belongs to socioeconomic status A and B, aged between 18 and 60 years. In order to check the viability of the proposed business model, a mixed research approach will be taken, with an experimental research design. For this purpose, different experiments are carried out for the validation of our project consisting of prototypes, interviews with experts and users, our own website, advertising for growth in social networks and raise interactions on it, this is done with the aim of measuring the level of acceptance and degree of satisfaction of our target audience. On the other hand, we measure the economic viability of our project under financial projections that include costs, expenses, income, and investment that allow us to check the scalability of the business and its future potential to make it sustainable over time. The results of our validations indicate that potential customers consider the project as valid, having a purchase intention reached with paid advertising. Finally, the project would have a return on investment in year 5, with the amount invested being S/124,205 soles. In addition, the projected income in year 5 is S/547,620 soles versus the cost which as a result has a profit of S/160,658 soles, confirming the sustainability of the business.

Bachelor's thesis, Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), 2020. http://hdl.handle.net/10757/655556.
This project consists of the creation of an app that was born in the middle of a global situation called COVID-19, which has put many companies and individuals under different uncomfortable conditions, and for many, not very viable. Many organizations have had to adapt to these changes, mainly related to sanitation and safety protocols, and others have taken advantage of these times of crisis to implement new projects that make life easier for people in these difficult times and can find a solution within so much uncertainty. For this reason, Doctor Wasi was created, an application that is responsible for searching for doctors near your home, through the Smartphone's GPS. The target market that was chosen was children up to twelve years of age and the elderly, as they are the segment most affected by covid 19 today and they wanted to support that class of people, however, anyone can download the app and enjoy the Doctor Wasi experience. This application will have three types of specialists, which are certified doctors, nurses and specialists in physical therapy, which the patient can choose and contact through their cell phone. Likewise, we will be constantly innovating the app and all our online platforms with the help of an expert in the field so that the client can get the best experience every time they request the Doctor Wasi service.

Córdova, Caracciolo Christian Steve, Gonzales Estefany Lizet Matos, Castillo Carlos Alberto Ramirez, and Molinari Alonso Enrique Virú. "HURRY JOB." Bachelor's thesis, Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), 2020. http://hdl.handle.net/10757/655094.
Since the end of 2019, the world has been experiencing a pandemic that generates uncertainty. In Peru, the most affected sector was labor. According to INEI, the employed population decreased by 39.6%, which is equivalent to 6 million 720 thousand jobs, only between April and June 2020. This problem has affected both companies and workers, but those who were most affected were pre-practitioners professionals, that is, university students who were just starting their internships and those who were looking for them. Therefore, it was decided to develop Hurry Job, a mobile application for university students who are looking for pre-professional practices in the part time mode. In this sense, this project focuses on being a link between students and companies that are in search of pre-professional practitioners with availability to work part-time, thus achieving benefits for both parties. To carry out the work, the project was validated through interviews with both segments. Also, experiments were developed using the landing page and the service's concierge. Likewise, the size of the market was calculated, delimiting the business to medium and large companies in Lima Metropolitana. The target segments for Hurry Job were the type of companies mentioned above and university students looking for pre-professional practices. Finally, a financial plan will be made, including the main financial ratios, the Balance Sheet and the Income Statement, to analyze the viability of the business in monetary terms.
