Анотація:
Sustainable Tourism Development (STD) consists of three dimensions known as environment, economic and social. Although these three dimensions influence each other and cannot stand on their own, and are assumed to be supportive to each other and compatible. However, most studies focus on the environmental and economic dimensions. The social dimension gains less attention and is difficult to attain and operationalize. In order to implement a balanced and successful STD, it needs to be supported by all the tourism stakeholder, including the tourist itself. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the social dimension of STDs and also tourist behavior regarding their social conscious. However, the discussions and understanding of social dimension in STD and socially conscious behavior are still limited. This study aims to define a clear understanding and definition of social dimension of STD which in this study is referred as social sustainability and also a socially conscious tourist. Starting with exploring the aspect of social dimensions formulation and exploring clear definitions of social dimensions of STD's and socially conscious tourist. This study is an exploratory study that aims to explore the boundaries of social dimension of STD and to develop a construct of socially responsible tourist. This study is a qualitative approaches, which includes systematic literature review and Delphi method to obtain expert judgment to gather social dimension aspects of sustainable development, especially in STD. The results of this study are social dimension’s aspects of STD, an understanding of social sustainability and socially conscious tourist in STD.

Анотація:
Purpose: The study was conducted to formulate the relationship between the three dimensions of institutes, namely cognitive, regulative and, normative dimensions of institutes. The model was formulated using SmartPLS 3. Research Methodology: In this study, the Five-point Likert scale was used and the data were collected from postgraduate students in two states of Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. SmartPLS 3 was used to formulate the model and establish the relationship between the three dimensions of institutes. Results: There exists a positive relationship between "Cognitive dimension and normative dimension"; "Regulative dimensions and Cognitive dimensions; and between Regulative dimensions and Normative dimensions" respectively of institutes. Limitations: Study is conducted on a small sample of 100 postgraduate students from two states of India namely Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh which may decrease the reliability of the study. Contribution: In this study, a relationship is established by using smart PLS 3 between the three dimensions of institutes required for entrepreneurship development with the help of Likert scale developed based on previous studies which can help in measuring the country institutional profile and provide the base for studying the role of these dimension of the institute in entrepreneurial intention growth among the postgraduate students in states of India.

Abstract From the 1980s onwards, a more significant development occurred in places where industrial agglomerates were installed. Focusing on factors that form the dimensions of local development may reveal actions that help to define improvement strategies for the regions. This study shows how factors — by the relations/interactions between the actors participating in clusters — interfere in the local development, considering the environmental, cultural, economic, spatial, institutional, political, and social dimensions. We chose a qualitative study, multi cases and content analysis. We identified aspects of the scope of each dimension and revealed a universe of factors that interfere in the local development in the clusters. The main "catalysts" and potential disseminators of actions promoting development were the Cooperation and Collectivity factor and the institutional dimension.

This study was undertaken to (a) define and describe the dimensions of fitness service attributes, (b) identify the differences, if any, between groups of subjects (categorized by sex and marital status) in the degree to which the defined attributes influenced their choice of a fitness club, and (c) develop a scale to measure those dimensions. The Scale of Attributes of Fitness Services (SAFS) was developed in three stages: generation of 71 items to measure the six theoretically derived dimensions, a pilot study (n = 178), and a final study (n = 436). In the final version of SAFS, 30 items were retained to measure five dimensions of fitness attributes: professional services, consumer services, peripheral services, facilities and equipment, and secondary services (such as provision of liquor and food). The results of the 2 x 2 x 5 (sex x marital status x dimensions) repeated measures AMOVA showed a significant three-way interaction effect. Despite differences among the four groups in the absolute ratings of the five dimensions, there was an overall consistency in the rating of facilities and equipment as the most influential dimension, and secondary services such as the bar and restaurant as the least influential in the subjects’ decision to join a particular club.

Анотація:
The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the relative effects of different developmental dimensions on happiness. However, such an attempt requires an approach that divides the phenomenon of development into building blocks. In this respect, this study focuses on the dimensions of economic prosperity, good governance, education, health, the sustainable environment, gender equality, trade and financial flows, and mobility. Following the general trend in the literature, the relations between the country's average happiness levels calculated from microdata and the development indicators compiled from the World Bank data were analyzed using the least-squares method. In this analysis, Box-Cox transformation was used to ensure that the dependent variable, the average happiness levels, showed normal distribution. Our study reveals that all dimensions have the expected effects on happiness. However, the economic prosperity, sustainable environment, and government efficiency dimensions create the top three blocks of development that have the most significant impact on life satisfaction, respectively. On the other hand, the effects of the remaining aspects on happiness seem relatively minor. Additionally, handling the reflection of the mobility dimension on happiness deserves special treatment since the association between net migration and happiness is most likely tend to indicate a reverse causality, unlike the migration stock and life satisfaction relation.

Анотація:
The basic idea expounded in this presentation is refining of linkages between development and culture. A semantic point has been raised to the effect that the word “dimension” may be a limiting factor. In this context traditional flourishing of arts and culture has been related to the village community with reference to the institutional changes brought about by breaking up of village communities. The role of tradition has been defined in terms of technological changes. The relevance of traditional values particularly in the context of conservation concerns has been duly stressed. In yet another sense, the institutional implications of cultural dimension have been concretely illustrated in terms of Indian experiences and formulations. In an elaborate reference to “Plan of Action relating to Cultural Perspectives” as a part of “New Education Policy,” various concepts and their concretisation in grassroot schemes and projects have been illustrated. The initial clashes that result from technological impacts have been highlighted though at the same time it has been suggested that over a period of time cultural perceptions of a people will overcome tensions produced by technological changes.

Анотація:
This qualitative study explores six English teachers’ perceptions regarding teaching collaboration. In open-ended interviews, the teachers responded to questions regarding the extent to which they were able to engage in meaningful collaboration. The study’s focus was to gain insight on the most valuable dimensions of informal and formal collaborative activities. The outcome of the study indicated that although many teachers engage in self-motivated collaborative activities, they wished to build on their experiences in different ways, incorporating more formal activities and professional development opportunities. Peer observations, feedback and discussions were found to be effective means of increasing teachers’ repertoire of teaching skills. The teachers in this study perceived collaboration as a positive and productive dimension of both teaching and learning. A broader implication of the study’s results is that these teachers’ perceptions reflected a bottom-up approach to school development addressing teachers’ actual concerns, rather than a top-down approach as imposed by the school administration.

Recent theories from the field of industrial geography contend that region-specific, 'untraded interdependencies', including networking, conventions and rules within the business community, are important assets in enabling small, innovative firms to learn about technological and organisational development. The 'learning region' has since been adopted as a slogan for economic development and renewal, despite limited empirical analysis on the spatial dimensions of actual learning processes. The purpose of this study is to analyse how innovative firms combine sources of information in a spatial setting. Analysis from the empirical findings reveals that small, innovative firms in the case study example of the instrumentation and control sector located in the outer area of the London Metropolitan Region (LMR), predominantly rely on a few key sources of information, recombined with knowledge of information from past employment. These key sources are usually linkages with other firms, particularly customers, that transcend regional and national boundaries. The spatial dimensions of information acquisition depend on the type of information. Sources that are more important at the regional level are relatively more important to more generalised aspects of information acquisition. Underpinning these observations is the significance of the relationship between the spatial dimensions of information flows and the nature of the firms' innovation characteristics. The specific information required for technological development is spatially dispersed from the firms' home region, whereas more generalised types of information diffuse more easily from region to region. The location behaviour of the firms is nevertheless explained by the need to co-ordinate information flows. This is because transport links are important in enabling the firms to access specific information beyond the region. The availability of various sources of more generalised information in the London Metropolitan Region is still regarded as a vital support mechanism for small-scale innovation in the IC sector. The policy implications of this analysis are addressed.

This research – which was motivated by a perceived gap between the reality of the world of the strategic leader and leadership development practice - offers an integrated perspective on the dimensions, development, and deployment of strategic leader capability. In the first of three thematically linked projects, a conceptual framework was developed based on four key dimensions of capability: judgement, the strategic conversation, contextual mastery, and behavioural complexity. In the second project, empirical findings from in-depth qualitative interviews with individuals in strategic leadership roles corroborated and enriched the framework; highlighted the importance of informal learning; and emphasised the role of mentors and stretch assignments as formative development processes. In addition, critical reflection, through either informal or formal processes, played an important “sense-making” and developmental role. In the third project, action research involving two formal leader development interventions was undertaken with the objective of developing strategic leader capability while deliberately managing the influential development processes identified. The results indicated that while strategic leader capability can be learned, and that key development processes can be simulated with varying degrees of success, positive performance outcomes also require high self-efficacy. Based on these findings, a model is presented which links together strategic leadership capability, major development processes, self-efficacy, context, and performance outcomes. The research raises numerous interesting questions with significant implications for strategic leader performance and development, as well as the leader development industry.

Previous research examining the link between parenting and identity have either indirectly assessed a single dimension of parenting or explored the degree of achievement rather than the process of identity development. The present study examines the influence of maternal and paternal parenting behaviors on the identity formation process in late adolescence. Participants (N = 1134), ranging in age from 18 to 25, completed questionnaires to assess their perceptions of parental behaviors and their current identity status. The results indicate an association between maternal acceptance and identity achievement, and moratorium was correlated with lax control and psychological control. Parental acceptance and psychological control were linked with foreclosure, and all three dimensions of parenting were found to be associated with identity diffusion. The findings are discussed from an intervention standpoint as to which specific parental behaviors can protect against the unachieved identity statuses and facilitate the identity formation process.

Morale is a commonly used term both in business and society but the concept of morale is relatively poorly defined and understood. In a recent paper Liefooghe et al. (2004) expressed surprise that "when reviewing the literature, no strong theory to explain morale as such is in evidence, nor are there many empirical studies that offer solid ground to advise organisations"(p 1). This thesis aims to provide these theories and this empirical evidence in order to produce a better understanding of morale. This research identifies a number of deficiencies in the current understanding of morale. These range from elision with other concepts to disagreement about whether it is an individual or group phenomenon. In this study, four principal domains are examined: (i) what morale is; (ii) how it differs from other concepts; (iii) the antecedents of morale and (iv) its consequences. A mixed methods approach was adopted combining idiographic and nomothetic research. The idiographic phase of the research adopted a Straussian (1998) grounded theory approach, involving data collection from seven different organisations. The data was accrued from a combination of site visits, informal contacts, external research, and 203 semi-structured interviews which were supplemented with psychometric instruments. The data were then coded and analysed. Morale could be readily differentiated from other concepts and emerged as a phenomenon with three dimensions: affective, future/goal and interpersonal. It was also viewed as a single phenomenon which was generalisable across situations and rooted in the individual although perceived members of the group exerted considerable influence. The antecedents of morale impacted on the three dimensions outlined above. Its consequences were the zeal with which tasks are undertaken, creativity and engagement. The nomothetic element of the research developed a number of measurement scales, grounded in the qualitative phase. These allowed morale to be differentiated from other phenomena and offered insights into individual and group perceptions of morale and the influence of personality variables. Further quantitative research confirmed the three dimensional structure of the concept. The results of these two phases were then integrated to provide a picture of the phenomenon of morale, differentiate it from other concepts and elucidate its antecedents and consequences. An appraisal of the limitations of the research is also made. Finally the implications of this research for both academic researchers and practitioners are discussed along with suggestions for future research.

Literature on corruption focuses on the phenomenon through the perspective of the causes and potential remedies. The majority of research on corruption is based upon the definition provided by Transparency International (2013) that corruption is the abuse of position for personal gain. Based on this definition, research focuses on either perceptions of corruption, or a specific and limited operationalization of corruption. This work proposes a process model of corruption. The model is based upon the results of a multi-dimensional scaling analysis defining corruption behavior across the five dimensions of Gain / Responsibility Avoidance, Exploiting Relationships, Lack of Oversight, In-Group / Out-Group, and Information Control. Utilizing these five dimensions, along with the view of corruption through a systems perspective, allows for the creation of a new framework for understanding corruption.

The purpose of this study is to assess the incidence of economic growth and social attainment in Mozambique during the 1990s. There is a growing international debate about the impact of growth on poverty and inequality. International development goals endorsed by the United Nations, the World Bank, and governments from around the world emphasize achieving quantitative targets across various dimensions of welfare including, but not limited to, income. Therefore, efforts at evaluating growth must go beyond aggregates and focus on the experience of the poor during the growth process. The methodology used here is based on growth incidence curves first developed by Ravallion and Chen (2003, 267) for income growth rates and extended to social welfare (e.g., education level, vaccination rates) indicators by Klasen (2005). Growth incidence curves show the incidence of growth across the population distribution. They have the benefit of describing how the gains from growth are distributed during the growth process. Using data from Mozambique’s 1997 and 2003 household living conditions surveys, a growth incidence curve is calculated for Mozambique using consumption as a welfare metric. Data limitations do not allow non-income growth incidence curves to be calculated; however, an approach combining quantile distributions and kernel regressions using education data is taken in the spirit of the non-income growth incidence curve approach. Consumption growth in Mozambique is demonstrated to have been pro-poor by some definitions but not others. The general conclusion about the growth of educational attainment is that it has been pro-poor as well.

The article analyzes the linear size of the seeds of corn sorts Mansanta and Krasnodar 194 MV. Statistical characteristics and size relationships for each seed size are determined. Empirical histograms and theoretical functions of seed size distribution are constructed. The degree of correlation between seedsizes was determined.
