Among female names, a special example is the suffix -ula, which is either non-existent in other dialects, or has a different function (forms names of wives or cows). The article considers the names of outerwear in the dialects of the Middle Ob region. The research base is Tomsk dialect dictionaries and dialect corpus. 73 items of outerwear are distributed according to different criteria: clothing season, gender, material, etc. On the basis of cultural components in the meaning of lexical units manifested in the live speech of dialect-speaking peasants, a linguistic and cultural commentary is presented. It is focused on describing the existence of nominations in the culture of the inhabitants of the Middle Ob region.
