Broomé, Kevin, and Laverd Gorges. "Covid-19:s effekter på kreditbedömningen till SME:s." Thesis, Linköpings universitet, Företagsekonomi, 2021. http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:liu:diva-177276.
Introduction SME's play a major contributing role to Swedish welfare through large tax revenues and jobs. The new Basel regulations have in recent years led to a greater difficulty for SMEs in obtaining financing from the banks. Banks are more restrictive in financial lending because they need to meet the requirements for capital and liquidity management. At the same time, the pandemic has negatively affected SME's financial position and financing in the form of credit can play a crucial role in corporate survival. Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate how covid-19 affected the credit rating of creditors to SMEs. Method The study is based on a qualitative research strategy with a deductive approach where the empirical data has been collected through semi-structured interviews. Conclusion The study shows that the pandemic has affected credit ratings by the majority of banks having greater acceptance of deteriorating figures. Greater emphasis is placed on SME's future business opportunities by studying the industry as a whole. Furthermore, long-term customer relationships have facilitated the banks' credit assessment. Government measures and regulations have not had any significant impact on the credit assessment during the pandemic. Contribution The study is an empirically based knowledge contribution intended to increase understanding and knowledge about the pandemic's effects on the credit assessment to SME's. This study has also contributed to a new perspective in the field of research and to fill the research gap on lack of research on credit assessment in the Swedish context during the pandemic. How the creditor's credit assessment is done during the pandemic is a knowledge contribution for many actors.

March 11th, 2020, the Coronavirus was classified as a pandemic and has since come to affect the Swedish economy, unemployment and the housing market. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, more jobs are being managed remotely and the demand for larger homes has increased. Similarly, the demand for education has grown and the number of students has increased. The recession, which was expected to hit the economy, led to a decision to abolish amortization requirements and to maintain the repo rate at zero percent. The thesis uses data from Svensk Mäklarstatistik, which includes condominiums sold between the period March 1st 2019 to December 31st 2020, as well as supplementary data from Booli.se for the period January 1st 2019 to February 28th 2019. Only condominiums under 50 square meters are included, in order to focus on first-time buyers who risk being outcompeted when the demand for condominiums increases. Through a difference-in-difference study, the aim is to analyze price changes in the housing market in Uppsala municipality, analyzing the period before and after Covid-19 established. As a comparison group, condominiums sold during the same period one year earlier are used. The main results show that final prices for condominiums under 50 square meters increased. Statistically significant results are obtained when control variables for GDP and interest rates are included.

Working environment and working conditions are found among the layers in the rainbow with the determinants of health. Work-related factors have been shown to be central influencing factors on individuals' health and well-being, both within working life and beyond. Employees' health, well-being and work performance are further affected by contextual factors and working conditions as well as by leadership style. Covid-19 pandemic as an external influencing factor has accelerated the digital development of society, bringing changed work structures and working conditions, which has increased opportunities for a flexible working life for the individual but also increased work-related demands and work environment risks. A study that sheds light on how structures and conditions for leadership in workplaces have been affected and changed can therefore be seen as relevant from a public health science perspective. The purpose of this study was to investigate how managers feel that the Covid-19 pandemic affects the working environment of their operations. The empirical data study was collected through six qualitative semi-structured interviews with managers whose activities because of the Covid-19 pandemic shifted to remote work. The study's informants were recruited through a goal-oriented convenience sample. Data were transcribed verbatim, analyzed by a qualitative content analysis and the responses were categorized into 5 subcategories and two main categories. The results show that the Covid-19 pandemic may have an accelerating effect on the digital development of working life, which led to an increased use of IT-based digital tools. It is further clarified that the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on companies' work structures and work environment, which has affected both managers' and employees' conditions for health and well-being. Clear and regular communication between managers and employees as well as increased participation in decision-making processes can be derived from the results of the study to health factors that reduce the risks of distance working.

This study seeks to explore what effects and consequences the covid-pandemic will have on conference services at hotels in Sweden. A scenario study examines what the future market for conferences as part of hotel businesses in Sweden may look like with regard to the effects of the covid pandemic. The scenario is created by executing a two step-study consisting of interviews and a survey. The study also illustrates what practical implications the scenario will have, and what adjustments the conference hotels can make to meet said scenario. The scenario shows that even after the pandemic, there will still be a demand for physical meetings and an ability to operate profitable conference services at hotels. Nevertheless, the study indicates that conference hotels most likely will be affected by long term changes on the market. The changes include change in purchase behaviour, increased use of digital technologies in meetings, a larger focus on activities and experiences, fewer large meetings, decreased maximum capacity in conference rooms, more focus on safety and security and more insecurity on the market. The increased insecurity leads up to the suggestion that the conference hotels work more actively with building resilient organisations. In addition, other adaptation measures for the ability to operate profitable conference services are suggested. No similar studies have been found and therefore this study offers an insight into an unexplored and very current topic that invites further research.

The purpose of this paper was to investigate whether the general public felt that the Covid-19 pandemic had led to altered behaviors regarding commuting and travel habits while also seeking to explore whether there are certain modes of transport that have gained a different meaning to the general public. Previous research on travel habits conducted during the Covid-19 pandemic provides a basis in regards to potentially investigating differing travel habits as they are perceived today in contrast with how travel habits were perceived before the pandemic outbreak, while also focusing on the effects of pandemic restrictions and recommendations. A starting point in this research area includes the adjustments that many people have taken on to carry out their everyday activities both virtually and remotely to varying degrees as a result of the pandemic, while also striving to understand how this change has affected people's travel habits. Meanwhile, previous research also indicates that other aspects of people's travel habits have changed as a result of the pandemic, such as an observed tendency to avoid public transport, to carry out fewer unnecessary outings to shops during the pandemic and to increasingly choose alternative modes of transport in order to avoid public transport and potential crowds. The conclusions drawn from both the results of this paper’s survey study and the accompanying literature study is that a majority of the public feel that they have developed new habits and behaviors in relation to everyday travel while this same majority also feels that public transport as a mode of transport has acquired a different meaning for them during the pandemic.
