The focus degree of electromagnetic waves is determined by the structure parameters in the transformation region. Effect of temperature to associated thermal physical characteristics is analyzed by establishing laser cutting model for stainless steel. Experiment shows the position of focus has an effect on cutting quality. Perfect positions of focus for different thickness are advanced. On this basis, applying the law of conservation of energy, where the total heat absorbed is equal to the sum of absorbed by melting and lost by conductive, heat onduction equation is set up. The function relation among cutting speed, thickness of plate and power is defined, which is verified to get perfect cutting quality

Saturation is commonly used to determine sample sizes in qualitative research, yet there is little guidance on what influences saturation. We aimed to assess saturation and identify parameters to estimate sample sizes for focus group studies in advance of data collection.
