Повний текст джерелаOur thesis explores the relationship between teacher thinking, teacher action, and context in language didactics, focusing on the teaching of French at the secondary level in China. We examine the impact of contextual constraints on teachers' beliefs and practices. Teacher thinking, described as the "hidden dimension" of pedagogical action, is shaped before, during, and after classroom interaction. It draws on theoretical knowledge, practical experience, and personal biases, forming a "didactic repertoire" that guides classroom decisions. The accumulation of experience and reflective practices, influenced by the teaching context, lead to the evolution of long-term pedagogical beliefs. Therefore, it is crucial to study teacher thinking by considering the specific context that shapes it. To this end, we have opted for an in-depth analysis of the Chinese school context. Our approach combines quantitative and qualitative methods, relying on previous research and data collection through classroom observations and interviews with French teachers from various Chinese secondary schools. The goal is to understand how the specific context of Chinese secondary schools influences teachers' practices and pedagogical beliefs, in order to better grasp the dynamics of teaching in this particular setting

The use of tale allows the teachers to guide their pupils to acquire all the competences: the linguistic, the cultural and the functional competences. Our work includes many theories that have a link with this literary kind. We suggest some activities for the Chinese pupils of secondary school. With these activities, the teachers may lead their students to go to a marvelous travel in the world of French and Chinese marvelous tales. The students learn to love reading in French and discover the pleasure to live the tales in the class

The thesis emphasizes the reflections of a new fle teaching in china that consist the following points: the putting of question of french teaching centred on the teachers, the investigation of the new fle teaching centred on the leaners, the formation of the leaner's language's competence and communicative competence, the creation of a new relation between the teacher and leaner, and the valuation of the communicative competence. The thesis advances a structural-functional approach that searches for the combination of the structural method and communicative and cognitive method

Повний текст джерелаIn the formulation of an educational program, the defining of aims and objectives underlying the program is a prerequisite. These aims and objectives are indispensable not only in determining the effectiveness of the program but also in determining its content, the teaching methods and materials to be adopted as well as the evaluation techniques. However, an analysis of French teaching of Malawi indicates that this process seems to have been overlooked at the time of its introduction in the curriculum. As such, the objectives of this study are to examine the inconsistencies resulting from this situation and also to make suggestions, from a curricular perspective, aimed at redressing the problem. Suggestions will also be made regarding the introduction of genres (texts) in the French language program for secondary school students to help them acquire proficiency in the language. The study has been undertaken in the context of a considerable increase in recent years in the number of students studying French in Malawian schools as well as the adoption of the French language by the southern Africa development community (SADC) as one of its official languages of communication

Повний текст джерелаThe aim of this study is to point out the specific dificulties of angolan learnes confronted with learning French as a Foreign language and to report the findings in a sociocognitive context. To reach this aim, we studied written works of 223 learners who are in angolan secondary school. To further supplement our study, we dedicated a part of our fact finding to questionnaires since it was, for us, a means of obtaining the opinions of both Angolan learners and teachers concerning the teaching of French as a Foreign Language, the conditions under which it was taught and about its reception. Since we did not wish to confine our findings to the questionnaires we analysed both the text book used in the secondary schools and also the teaching practices within the classroom. Finally, we presented new perspectives and concrete methological propositions applicable to teaching/learning French as a foreign language in Angola. Beyond this thesis, we wish that this research will be the basis of further studies, and that it will contrubute, throught the ability, even relative of the languages, to a better understanding between people themselves, or between the ones of countries, ethnic groups, nations. .

The weight of history is heavy and thirty years of independence have strengthening a kind of linguistic hatred. French upholders, that is to say french speakers who are holding power because they are possessing knowledge, have become the scapegoats -according to r. Girard's theory- of the arabic speaking majority. There upon, after the president's speech on sept619-88, the " route antique des hommes pervers " was launched into existence. The hypothesis -supported by a questionnaire- asserts that the socially privileged classes fully claim the french language as a basic component of their cultural capital. But then, how can a french teacher cope with the "autistic" attitude of pupils toward french? the theory of the "objet transitionnal" -according to d. W. Winnicott- applied to story-telling will trigger off the desire to talk first, then to write. We have pointed out that: 1 -listening to a tale and writing out a narrative passage, represents for the pupils a kind of truce in the triangular face to face meeting: learner french language teacher. 2 -the class is structure a as a tale. Moreover, as pupils are not equal in learning a language, belon-. .

First of all we were interested in the learning of the zero article and the error analysis has shown cases in the learning of the zero article which were difficult. Afterwards we have presented the differences between the French articles and the Portuguese articles. Then we have dealt with the learning of the zero article and we have analysed the syllabus, the coursebooks and the grammars. We have also inferred the practice of the teachers. Finally, we have formulated some didactic propositions to improve the teaching and learning of the zero article. The method that we have adopted is based on the metalinguistic perception of the learners in what concerns the Foreign Language (grammatical conceptualism). We have suggested some changes in the teaching and we have proposed a series of pratical exercises

Повний текст джерелаThe aim was to find a solution to the slow pace at which the evolution of french teaching was moving in the iraqi school system. The identification of this problem considered the teachnic of this language as the subject of study. The examination of the special type of teaching revealed that this slow pace was a result of an imbalance between proportioning, the programming of the contents of lessons for pupils, and the application of teaching methods. A very careful examination led us to question the linguistic and pedagogic competence of the iraqi french teacher. The level of this competence was considered as the main cause of the imbalance and consequently, of the slow pace. In other words, there exists a non-conformity between academic knowledge of this teacher and the organisation of class work. Both the theoretical and practical nature of the problem constituted an essential line of analysis undertaken in the course of this research work. The complementarity between these different factors that resulted from theses two ways of seeing our research permitted us to conclude in two different ways. Firstly, to estimate the influence of an insufficient linguistic and pedagogic competence of the teacher on the quality of teaching. Secondly, to evaluate the imbalance of this teaching and the dispropostion between acquisition and production of knowledge

In this context, we questioned the practicability of the curriculum as well as the pertinence of the official objectives ― focused on the imperative "to develop a communicative competence" ― in relation to the institutional conditions. Our enterprise, searching for a curricular approach which would better suit our Korean context, was inspired by a reflection on the notion of communication ; in the light of an intercultural point of view looking towards a school education which could acknowledge the value of the educational dimension for the learning of the French culture-language

Made vulnerable by traumatic events, these teenagers must nonetheless quickly prove that they are well intregrated into French society, linguistically and at school, if they want to stay in France lawfully. Consequently, what can be and should be the role of French teachers within the socioeducational centres that are in charge of them? Taking into account affective and institutional factors, the aim of this research is to suggest how to conciliate teaching and learning with psychological and educational support. Hence, this research is at the crossroads of the sciences of language, especially French language teaching methodology, and the sciences of education

Повний текст джерелаIn the teaching / learning of foreign language (french in our case), several components are easing or uneasing this process. To learn a foreign language means acquire a communicative skill, but reduce teaching to a linguistic skill compromises the formative aspect. Therefore, it is a necessity to introduce the cultural component in the teaching / learning process. The cognitive psychology has proven that in any knowledge, the student proceeds with constructions systems and representations. During the learning a foreign language, the student has representations of the country of which he is learning the language. The representations (of which the concept has been borrowed from social sciences) or views of the student about the world are made of historical, geographical, economical, cultural, social components. In order to take in account these representations in a didactic gait it is nessary to center the teaching / learning on the student, and insert him in an reflexive approach type. Our research, that makes part of this reflexive approach, has followed two main directions : analysis a foreign language text-books and analysis of students representations. The first analysis, about the representation of France in text-books used in moroccan high-schools concerns four text-books : two text-books used since 1987 (when the arabization of scientific and technical disciplines occurred in the first year of high-schools, the equivalent of the second in the french teaching system) and two others books used since the reform 1994. The experimental study has for objective to make emerge the students representations through a serie of questionnaires. The answers show how 486 moroccan students (first year in five general high-school and two technical high-school in Sale Rabat and Oujda) see the France, the french people and their culture. This corpus study has allowed to verify the validity of our hypothesis. For the moroccan students, the representation of France, the french people and french culture change with these parameters : sex, speciality (litterature, science, technique), direct contact with the west, mediatized indirect contact and native country (morocco / France / Belgium). Taking in account of students views as information source, permits to foresee a future didactic gait that would encourage an adjustement of these views, stereotyped and unfounded that risks. .

Повний текст джерелаArts express an imaginary universe, shared by all cultures and translate the core values of their fundamental values. If there is a universal dimension of artistic expression, the art is also a language that refers to the specific characteristics of each culture. In the context of teaching French as a foreign language (FFL) in China, there is a clear lack of interest in culture in general, and even less to the visual arts in particular. It is from this observation that we ground the base of this thesis which is meant to introduce an art education in the classroom of FFL in China. The objectives of this research are the following: firstly, make a clear reflection over the humanistic dimension through the history of art in Europe; secondly, rethink a FFL teaching method, based on the aesthetic dimension of Chinese and western culture; thirdly, formulate a concrete education project where arts could enrich the cultural representations of learners. This work consists of two parts: the first part is to contextualize the teaching of FFL in China from a historical perspective. From the Confucian and Taoist traditional education to the European humanism since the sixteenth century, our intention is to highlight the value of FFL education in China by training young learners with cognitive and emotional knowledge from the history of art. The second part deals to apply our analysis to the corpus of art works, selected by theme. From traditional art to contemporary art, from Chinese art to Western art, we put the arts on the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures so as to establish the favorable comparisons and to develop the aesthetic, intercultural and transcultural skills of Chinese learners. Thus, this research adopts intercultural approaches to enrich the teaching of FFL in China. It is from a humanistic perspective that such irreversible change prevails nowadays in the educational reforms in China in recent years

Повний текст джерелаIn China, the research on the didactics of French grammar is lagging. There exist such problems as the lack of experienced teachers, effective teaching methods, and lack of reference materials written by the Chinese on this subject. Hence, the idea of this thesis specifically tackles the following question “how should Chinese students be taught French grammar?”To answer this question, research has been carried out in the French Department of the School of Foreign Languages of Anhui University. Through this research, three hypotheses are proposed as follows. 1. It is necessary to apply eclectic methodology when teaching French grammar. Methods must be changed timely and appropriately according to different objectives of courses. 2. It is impossible to fully introduce the CECR teaching concepts into the teaching of French grammar in Anhui University.3. For Chinese students majoring French Language and Literature in Anhui University, deductive grammar is more effective than inductive grammar. After having presented our field of research and analyzed practical needs, objectives and particularities of our students majoring French Language and Literature, we enter into the theoretical framework of our work. First of all, it should be noted that two Chinese national programs are designated as official documents and give instructions on the teaching of French grammar. But like the CECR, both of them are quite flexible. They don’t designate teachers to apply certain teaching approaches; instead, teachers are advised to choose freely among all the existing methods according to the practical teaching need.Secondly, results showed that, in the grammatical parts of two Chinese national tests (TFS4 and TFS8), questions are designed to evaluate students’ grammatical knowledge rather than grammatical competence. Such evaluation approach greatly affected teachers’ teaching methods, and inevitably makes them adopt traditional teaching methodology. Thirdly, analysis on a number of scientific works on French grammar teaching was carried out. In this context, several questions merit attention and further analysis, such as comparing linguistic grammar with pedagogical grammar, explicit grammar with implicit grammar, deductive grammar with inductive grammar; analyzing the role of grammar in different methodologies, interpreting the grammar teaching from psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic perspectives.Fourthly, after the detailed analysis of interviews and questionnaires towards students and professors of Anhui University and the observation of six grammar lessons taught by different teachers, we found that the explanatory and deductive methods dominate the teaching of FLE in Chinese universities. Concerning Chinese students, their communicative competence is rather poor, and the grammatical knowledge they learn in class can not be transformed into grammatical competence, allowing them to speak and write correctly.Fifthly, as for French methods or grammar books used in Chinese universities, we found that bilingual textbooks, written by Chinese, focus on completeness and include detailed and precise grammatical explanations, while in monolingual textbooks written by French, the metalanguage used is generally simple to facilitate the comprehension of the learners. Finally, it should be noted that compared with their counterparts in European countries, the teaching culture of Chinese teachers and the learning culture of Chinese students are quite different. Each teacher teaches differently and each student learns differently. We therefore argue that it is reasonable to combine several teaching methods (such as, traditional methodology, communicative approach, action-oriented approach and so forth) with several grammars by making best of their advantages and overcoming their disadvantages, and applying an eclectic methodology in the teaching of French grammar in Anhui University

Повний текст джерелаThis research began by analyzing questionnaires sent to Spanish teachers of 13, 14 and 15-year-old students in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France as well as by a related study of teaching manuals used in France and official directives. The principal observation is that presently, teaching vocabulary is performed in a rather uncertain manner from authentic documents, principally literary ones. However, various relevant criteria such as related interlinguistic families, communicative utility, frequency, lexical availability and the learning context, among others, can aid in establishing vocabulary selection at the elementary level. As far as they are concerned, the selected lexical units favor the development of the different components of lexical competence. In short, the vocabulary memorization strategy should make up a part of the program elements in the same way as the vocabulary contents do

Повний текст джерелаThis research focuses on the teaching-learning (EA) French as a foreign language (FLE) in sec-ondary school in Libya. It aims to question the program followed, but also the textbooks and teaching materials used in secondary schools. Given the critical nature of the role played by the MS / MD in the success or failure of EA (Mackey, 1972: 193), and the difficult conditions that the teaching of FLE in secondary school has gone through and still goes through today, ques-tioning the teaching set and its content has become a necessity. Indeed, our field study shows that it is essential and even urgent to verify the applicability of this didactic device, its effective-ness, but also its compliance with the intended audience, its needs and the objectives and rec-ommendations of the Ministry of Education. To study this question, our thesis defines, in a first part, the theoretical framework of this research by addressing the main methodological currents of the EA of foreign languages and the psychological theories of learning. This part also deals with methodologies of MS / MD analysis. The second part concerns, first, a general presenta-tion of the historical and geographical context of Libya but also on the status of FLE in Libya. Subsequently, we take stock of the MS / MD, with a presentation of the MS / MD (Oasis 1, 2, 3) used from 2007 until 2014. Then, we carry out a comparative analysis of a contrastive nature of the two methods of FLE: Le Nouveau Pixel 1 (Favret: 2016) and Le français pour la Libye/Pixel 1 (Favret: 2019). Finally, we present various didactico-pedagogical and methodolog-ical avenues, based on the results of the analyzes carried out

Повний текст джерелаThis dissertation is devoted to reconstructing the dynamics of foreign language teachers’ thinking by a multimodal and longitudinal approach. Focused on the field of Applied Linguistics and teacher cognition in particular, the present work is part of a multidisciplinary theoretical framework co-constructed of Social constructivism and Emergentism. This study involved six teachers of French as a foreign language (FFL) and Chinese as a foreign language (CFL) working in China and in France, each being followed up for one semester, through classroom observation and different kinds of interviews (semi-directive interviews and stimulated recall). Their verbalization was then analyzed by a mixed approach combining content analysis and discourse analysis. Besides an instable self-image characterized by multi-identity, emerge from each teacher’s discourse a knowledge and belief system and its historicity, subjectivity, contextuality and contradiction. The validity of Activity Theory is confirmed by a division of labour based on learners’ profiles that the teacher typifies. The importance of embodied action is dependent on the expected outcome. Teachers wish to not only complete their teaching activity but also reach an effect which is an integrated part of their thinking patterns. The non-linearity of context changing explains the updating of teacher’s thinking and practice. Teacher cognition’s complexity is structured around a dynamic between intentionality, embodied action and situational constraints. The break of reflexivity during action, discovered in neurosciences and validated here in a human and social sciences’ methodology, constitutes the key contribution of this work

Повний текст джерелаLiterary texts in teaching French as a foreign language show us the use of an authentic lexicon and morphosyntax, in a linguistic, socio-cultural and communicative context. In addition, they motivate students through « reading pleasure ». Illustrated texts or comics reinforce these objectives, and they facilitate further access of reading by combining text and image. Astérix will be the main corpus, as it combines text and image, language, culture and diverse knowledge. By comparing the various interpretations of Chinese and French readers of Astérix in Great Britain, we bring to the fore Franco-Chinese interculturality, which will facilitate understanding of French language and culture. Chinese students in the third year of university curriculum are our targeted public. We will thus take advantage of the educational value of Astérix, while contributing to research on the use of illustrated texts and comics in teaching French as a foreign language in China

Повний текст джерелаIn a school context, teaching and learning are both determined by the learner’s motivation status in lessons of French as a foreign language. An active participation is required from the pupil for learning especially since, as far as a foreign language is concerned, learning very often entails a more important psychological commitment than in other school subjects. The learner should prove a complete availability and involvement in learning activities, which is far from being the case: in the Southern region of Angola in our scope of interest, the secondary school children prove very passive in lessons of French as a foreign language. In this work we have been above all wondering why a recurring passive attitude and a behaviour of evasive efforts, even a troublemaking one, mainly occur specifically in lessons of French as a foreign language. Is it due to a lack of motivation? If yes, what would then be the deep causes of it, as motivation simply results from other factors? The answers to these interrogations are based on a set of questionnaires sent to pupils, teachers and to pupils’ parents and on observing pupils’ behaviour and teachers’ practice in lessons of French as a foreign language. Thus the results obtained enabled us to answer to questions asked beforehand. For helping improve teaching/learning French as a foreign language we built up proposals of teaching remediation in accordance to difficulties met in the field

It reminds us of a series of questions about French literature and its role: Which position did the literary works take in the history of French language education in China? What is their current level and are they still useful? What shall we do in looking for a new method in order to make full use of them in education? Starting from a study of the French language teaching evolution in China, relying on an analysis of interviews organized by Chinese teachers and students, and based on the related theories and personal reflections, in this academic paper, I justify the advantages of French literature in language teaching and propose the possible solutions to promote the position of literary works in French language teaching in Chinese higher education

Повний текст джерелаOur thesis, based on the Didactics of Languages and Cultures, explores the potential of theater text as a pedagogical tool in classes of French as a Foreign Language (FFL). In an interdisciplinary cross, we started our thesis project : « From the text to the stage - Didactics of French as a Foreign Language through Theatrical Approaches in the Republic of Moldova », based on excerpts from L’Avare by Molière and in a particularly new perspective of the appropriation of foreign culture, as well as the artistic flourishing of the pupil and the future citizen. It is in this dynamic that we set up as a teaching insertion tool a theater workshop, with a group of learners from two 12th forms that study FFL in one of the high schools from the North of Moldova. The purpose of this work was to present, firstly, a review of the current situation of language teaching in the Republic of Moldova in secondary education, more specifically the status of the French language which has the distinction of being in second position (since its significant decline that began in 2010) behind English, the first foreign language taught in major cities. We also wondered about the roles and place of textbooks in the Moldovan class of FFL. Then, we tried to identify the reasons for the difficulties of the oral production of Moldovan learners in two classes of 12th form studying FFL (their communicative competences being located between levels B1 and B2, according to the CEFRL scale of evaluation), research carried out by means of a survey. The second goal of our research is to reflect on the contributions that theatrical practice can bring to the development of oral expression in French as a foreign language, especially in the management of the difficulties related to the linguistic, psychological and relational insecurity of Moldovan learners that find it difficul to act out while speaking French. We studied the possibility of elaborating from a new didactic perspective, the assessment of the performance of learners in the framework of teaching by skills, based on texts chosen from the French comedy of the seventeenth century : though measuring the profitability of this teaching method, the type and quality of the interaction produced, the satisfaction of the learner and the effectiveness of the teaching. Two initial hypotheses guided our research :1. The verbal passivity of Moldovan learners in the FFL classroom is closely related to their feeling of insecurity in the practice of the language ;2. Theater in the FFL classroom encourages students to produce language in a meaningful situation that allows them to appropriate the language. Theatrical practices develop and promote improvisation and the spontaneous expression of learners. It is also a privileged vehicle for the transmission of socio - cultural elements of language. Our hypotheses were tested through a theatrical experience, thanks to it we managed to analyze the peculiarities of the influence of artistic activities on various elements like body, voice and gestures, but also from a relational point of view. This last element allowed us to observe more closely the role of the teacher, the specific pedagogical preparation that implies, the difficulties (choice of the text, preparation of the theater workshop, time management, the limits inherent to this dynamic and the obstacles that it may encounter), the possible evaluation method for such teaching, the taking into account of the learners' involvement capacities

Повний текст джерелаA comparative analysis of interactions in Spanish classes at high school level (8th and 12th grade is the basis of this research. Indeed, it provides an insight into the interactions between teachers and students in Libreville-based high schools. So the on-ground research was done in Libreville, Gabon's capital city. This analysis is an attempt at answering questions on the teaching of Spanish as a second language. Does this teaching comply with the rules worked out by the Gabonese Ministry of Education? Is it similar for all grades? What are the various activities during Spanish classes? Do these activities foster interactions as a means of communication and exchange? How does the teacher handle interactions, students' behaviour and the class? How do the teacher and the student contribute to an intense interaction during the class? How do educators do to render their Spanish classes comprehensible for their pupils? By adopting both a sociolinguistic and above all didactic method this work is focused on the teaching of foreign languages. Its objective is to help educators better understand the mechanisms to handle a grade. Handling a grade is more and more complex both in western countries and developing ones due to the ever-growing number of students in language classes. Our findings show that the teacher steadily employs a wide range of teaching strategies like rephrasing, repetition and the prolonged pronunciation of syllables to get students' attention and participation. Thanks to this panoply of teaching techniques, the teacher succeeds in handling the class and students at 8th and 12th grade level

Повний текст джерелаThis study deals with the analyses of teaching practices during a controlled experiment in a Chinese university (South China Normal University, Canton, Guangdong, China). We focus on the way French as a Foreign Language (FFL) teachers guide their students during oral sessions and as well on their scaffolding. In a teaching/learning situation, the scaffolding stands for all the ways the teacher adapts his interventions to his students’ abilities as well as his processes of adjustment in a classroom setting. Our aim is to observe and evaluate the strategies used by teachers to improve oral comprehension and oral production. From a methodological point of view, the research relies on various sources of data: the analysis of questionnaires filled in by Chinese students, conversations with the teachers, and observations of classes. Our filmed observations are transcribed (ICOR convention) and analyzed from an interactionist perspective. We focused on two groups of students with a different teacher for each group (one conducted by a Chinese teacher and the other conducted by a French Canadian teacher). We observed two classes for two groups (same teaching materials, equal number of students, same level). The methodology of observation was carried out in three phases: class preparation by the teacher (interview before class and teaching preparation), class progress (teacher’s action) and metacognitive feedback after the class (interview after class). This allowed us to consider the class as a whole but also as a complex series of parts. The analysis grid, which takes into account the verbal, the para-verbal and non-verbal character of speech, is one of the pioneering aspects of this study. With the aid of this analysis grid, we assess the nature of the FFL teachers’ scaffolding and, thus, the way FFL teachers guide their students during oral sessions in the context of a Chinese university. This study is part of a praxeological research aimed at defining pedagogical and didactical guidelines, on one hand about the crucial role of scaffolding in teaching practices and, on the other hand, about FFL oral didactic in a particular setting: Chinese universities

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis intervenes in foreign language acquisition, and has an objective to understand how Chinese students in university learn French space expression. I have thus conducted a three-year research and carried out three corpus collections with 22 Chinese learners from the same class, respectively in the first three years in French learning. The Chinese learners are required to tell a story according to the pictures. In every collection, all learners are assigned to tell the Frog story; in the first two collections the additional Cat and Horse stories are respectively required. From the collected corpus, each learner are fully studied, including the space expressions at specific stages and the progress in three-year period. The analysis based on the data has been carried out in the three levels: the sentence level, the conceptual level and the discursive level. It is aimed to find the factors which influence the space expression in French. Moreover, the thesis provides teaching solutions according to the learning difficulties identified in the corpus

Повний текст джерелаThis research has for objective to study three different practices of evaluation in French as a foreign language in the Chinese university context, to propose orientations to remedy the difficulties of learning. It joins according to a double dynamics, on one side it tries to place the teaching, the learning and the evaluation of French in its cultural, educational, institutional and methodological environment; on other side, it tries to estimate the skill to writing by Chinese learners. The adopted approach is at the same time empirical and interventionist. The empirical model of the evaluation takes for basis the Chinese university. The evaluation takes place with its actors and its actions; it is also structured with two other levels, the national examinations of French in China, and the international examinations that students take for their mobility projects. Developed reflection is based on a corpus of written productions by Chinese students in second year at the university in China. The analysis and evaluation of these productions makes it possible to identify two major difficulties, one related to the written process in the foreign language, the other to the subjective characters involved in the evaluation of a text. The articulation between university, national and international levels implies an interventionist approach, as the aim is to propose paths that can help students to improve their written skills in order to pass their assessment not only at university, but also at national and international level. The research is concerned with the written process in its entirety, it shows that it is necessary to highlight the difficulties of scriptors in second-language writing. It is based on the concepts of evaluation and written communication skills, and on the concepts of coherence, cohesion and connection. In addition, heterogeneous analytical tools are developed from the theories of argumentation to study the intercultural dimension of research. This component implies values, beliefs and attitudes that are not evaluable in the student’s texts but are at the heart of even didactic reflection of teaching and learning a foreign language

Повний текст джерелаWith the development of the economy and the expansion of globalization, certain educational reforms took place, take place, and will take place in many countries, of which France and China, with an aim of converging towards the job market. Side of Europe, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union had proposed a notion of the “common base of knowledge and competences” supported on the idea of “key competences for education and the training throughout the life”. During the course of these considerable reforms, the didactic of the languages was also touched. Designs mainly developed around the propositions of the Council of Europe precisely implemented, since the years 1990, a instrumentalisation of the language, and lead to a disappearance of the subject considered as a principle élément of the act to learn. With regard to China, deep reforms of higher education began all at the beginning of the 21st century. They relate to the transformation of the concept of education, to the adaptation of the objectives of the formation of learners to the economic evolutions of the society, and to the rationalization of the disciplinary courses in specialized institutional milieu. The educational world, and perhaps especially the teaching and learning (hereafter T/L) of the foreign languages, cannot keep aways from the world of profession any more. On the contrary, they must, like other sectors, to confront themselves with competition and to adapt to the social request which is in constant evolution. Under the former regime of planning, the T/L of the foreign languages in the superior academy in China had aimed main aim to train specialists in language intended for the literature, linguistics, the diplomacy or the cultural exchanges. Nowadays, a good amount of universities of languages chose to train specialists in language who know at the same time perfectly a foreign language and a disciplinary speciality associated with the international exchanges like the economy, the trade, business management or the right. These reforms are greeted by certain like tje answer of the challenges of globalization, denounced by others like a process of marketisation of the knowledge. My research project takes as a starting point a conference “the subject in the context of globalization: speech and practical in the didactic one of the languages and teaching” organized in January 2012, and it also takes supports on a research project entitled “the evolution - in the context of globalization – in the relation with the knowledge in higher education: for a comparative perspective french-Brazilian”. The objective of this project is to wonder about the consequences of these changes on the relation with the knowledge especially as regards the didactic of the foreign languages, amongst other things the T/L of French in China, and the conception of the subject which they convey. How the students/teachers/institutional persons in charge consider the knowledge? What means to learn for them? What is it position of the teacher? What is the subject who learns? Which subject will they educate by applying the new reform? From these questions, I will study the impacts of thses evolutions of the relation with the knowledge to the subject learner

Повний текст джерелаUnder which conditions is it possible to create work-place professionalism? This is the main question addressed by the theme of this thesis. The theme came up as a result of the precariousness/downgrading of teaching/instructing French as a foreign language under the current Moroccan educational system. Other than efforts pertaining to reform and change, it does not seem that the current educational policies are capable of addressing this situation. Instruction as well as continuing education in basic training remains somewhat uncertain, keeping in mind that some instructors have not been given any such training. Professionalism among some of these instructors is lacking. However, helping them to develop a reflexive position would improve their level of professionalism. The purpose of this study is to ensure that didactic educational lessons are undertaken in a real classroom environment, that analysis of pedagogical practices is done concretely, that guidance/coaching is provided, and that reflexive writing is encouraged. These are steps or protocols among other instruments to experiment with towards further professionalization of instruction, in order to lead the new learner to develop his professional skills and to further improve the professional performance of those who are more experienced

Representations of teachers and students (survey in Modena).Summary: Several studies have long shown the influence that the representation of a language, of a country, and of its people can have on those who are studying that language in terms of their attitude towards it, their motivation, their willingness to enter a different state of mind and language. This dissertation, which will trace the meaning and features of the concept of representation, originates from a deep need to provide an answer to a firsthand experience as a teacher of French as a foreign language in the secondary school: during the three years spent working in schools of different types, I started to wonder why most of the students I met knew the language very poorly and, most of all, knew hardly anything about the country whose language they were studying. Is this a common problem amongst students of FFL? Why do they seem to have the same lack of knowledge as their peers who are not studying French? In the present work I will first describe the history of the Italian system, and the events that characterized FFL teaching in the past. A broad section will focus on how foreign language teaching became a discipline. This investigation will concern students and teachers from the Province of Modena, Northern Italy, and it will include schools of very different types and backgrounds. What are the students' and teachers' representations in a territory like Northern Italy? A territory as thoroughly influenced by France as to have a dialect very much like the French language? What is the scenario, when French language teaching is about? Which are its strength and weaknesses? To answer these questions I asked 896 students 36 teachers to fill in a questionnaire composed of yes - no, open-ended, and multiple choice questions, free association games, suggested drawings, picture recognition activities and description of personal opinions and experiences. The analysis of these results will help me go deeper into these topics, answer some questions and humbly suggest some possible solutions. Keywords: sociolinguistic representations - stereotypes - motivation - languages attitudes - teaching - French as a foreign language - secondary school - teachers - student

Повний текст джерелаThis doctoral thesis explores virtual reality as a digital environment for language learning, specifically for French or German as a foreign language. The study examines how immersion and interaction in virtual reality generate a sense of presence in the virtual environment and thus contribute to a contextualization of the learning situation.Approximately one hundred pupils from French and German secondary schools tested three immersive environments of the European project EVEIL-3D. After using a foreign language in an immersive serious game, pupils were surveyed on their virtual reality experience. Results show the importance of subjectivity of the experience. This research additionally investigates speaking in the foreign language, language usage strategies, interactivity, physical engagement and how to support the pupils during immersion. Finally, it points out both the drawbacks and opportunities of using virtual reality as a digital environment for language learning

Повний текст джерелаListening comprehension is a key objective in the process of learning a foreign language. The Chinese students often find understanding oral French difficult.Based on this fact, this paper attempts to use the database CLAPI (Corpus de langues parlées en interaction) to propose some paths for teaching listening comprehension in the context of Chinese universities. This research begins with the presentation of educational and cultural context for interpreting the culture of teaching in China; then the paperconsists of a review of foreign language listening comprehension andthe contributions of the corpus; and then, we carry out this study in the context of Chinese universities, with students and teachers of French, in order to find advantages and limitations in the teaching and learning of listening comprehension. Based on the theories, the Chinese context of French teaching andthe results obtained in our study, we bring our reflections and proposals on the teaching of oral corpus for listening comprehension in Chinese context

Повний текст джерелаForeign language learning is not merely memorizing grammatical or cultural knowledge but a transfer, extension, and application of acquired skills into new domains through specific methods. Thus, in this thesis, in line with the characteristics of Chinese-speaking learners, we propose a comparative approach between French and Chinese novels in teaching methodology of French, considering ways to implement their skills, knowledge, and strategies acquired from their mother tongue in their learning of French. Drawing on theories of comparative literature, we relate different novels from the two countries in three contexts: language, theme, and intercultural. Thanks to the diversity and flexibility of the literary medium, the stories introduced, and the pedagogical activities designed can correspond to learners' educational and cultural contexts and their learning needs to protect or enhance their motivation. We have been practicing this approach in a language school section. The data collected enable us to verify its pedagogical implications in grammar, literature, interculturality, and motivation in French as a foreign language teaching, as well as to reflect on possible improvements to this approach and new ways of using it
