Повний текст джерелаI vår uppsats fokuserar vi på hur Helsingborg arbetar med kultur som en del i den totala turismen som finns. Har kulturella sevärdheter och attraktioner något extra som gör att en turist vill åka till platsen och vad kan det vara for dragningskrafter som ligger bakom? För att en kommun, i vårt fall Helsingborg ska kunna locka turister och besökarna måste man kunna marknadsföra sig på ett bra sätt så turisterna vet om vad kommunen har att erbjuda. I vår tidigare forskning finns det både likheter och skillnader i hur man arbetar med kultur som en del av turismbranschen. Den främsta likheten vi kommit fram till är att historien bakom alla sevärdheter och attraktioner är det som främst lyfts fram och skillnaden är att man ser sina arbetsprocesser pa olika sätt i hur man arbetar med kulturturism. Alla platser vi har studerat har alla en välfungerande turism i det stora hela i de faktorer som nämns i vår uppsats, men det gäller att arbeta genomtänkt med alla faktorer som kan tänkas ha en påverkan på hur länge man kan vara en destination eller inte.

Här finns bakgrunds berättelse om Mc-gängen, dess struktur, uppbyggnad och syfte. I studien framkommer även information från en medlem om livet som Mc- kriminell, synen på polisen och deras arbete mot Mc-gängen. Personal från Helsingborgs polisen har fått svara på frågor som framställs i ett senare kapitel. Syftet med min rapport är att delge övriga städer, kommuner men även nya poliser kunskap om hur arbetet mot de kriminella Mc-gängen ser ut och hur arbetet har förändrats genom åren samt vad det har gett för resultat. De resultat som framkommer är att Mc-krigen stannat upp, men att den organiserade brottsligheten finns kvar bland Mc-gängen. Polisen har effektiviserat sitt arbete mot de kriminella Mc-gängen och har på så sätt lyckats minska den kriminalitet som Hells Angels och Bandidos utövade.

Повний текст джерелаFormer studies have shown that urban green spaces improve physical and mental health.Urbanisation and urban development result in green environments being replaced by buildings. This has a negative effect on urban residents as urban green spaces provide important ecosystem services. An urban lifestyle can involve health risks such as mental illness, cardiovascular disease, and physical inactivity. This study aimed to investigate through a qualitative approach, the importance of urban green spaces for individual residents of Helsingborg during the covid-19 pandemic. Ten qualitative e-mail interviews were conducted, and the empirical findings were analyzed with an inductive approach. The collected empirics resulted in the following themes: peace and quiet, gain energy, and change of scenery. The results were analyzed through the theoretical framework Attention restoration theory and Stress recovery theory. The results showed that urban green spacesare essential for the informant’s health, as they contribute to recovery and stress reduction, which are significant factors for good physical and mental health. The main conclusion of this study shows that by preserving urban green spaces, people’s quality of life can increase as urban green spaces contribute to better physical and mental health in society.

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis deals with an urban form of talk, aka Skånska, in Helsingborg (NW Scania, Southern Sweden). Its objective is to clarify the implications and stakes of coexisting practices of both local as well as standardized features. Thus we investigate two native families by observing the speakers’ every-day interactions and analyze two phonological variables (åː) and (uː), and one morpho-phonological variable (år). Patterns of intra-speaker variation show the role of social mobility and gender while patterns of inter-speaker variation show evidence of lexical diffusion, for all variables. On the one hand, the variables (åː) and (år) are socially differentiated. The distribution of their variants indicates that standard features are scoring local features. On the other hand, both families reveal similar patterns regarding the variable (uː). The distribution of its variants indicates that the dialect feature is undergoing a near-completion change. From those results we infer that not all variables are indeed changing in the same direction. At the same time, speakers from Helsingborg manifest a strong sociolinguistic awareness. The study of attitudes toward language through an internet debate shows the crucial role of the sociolinguistic stereotype that serves as a resource to negotiate, accept or reject boundaries between social identities, communities, languages and dialects. Linguistic forms serve both as symbols of group identity and as indices of shared cultural background. Focusing on language structure(s) and heterogeneity, this double-sided small-scale ethnographic survey enlightens the relation between language and society as well as between language and the individual

Повний текст джерелаStreet-racing is a worldwide and growing phenomenon, and is the source of a lot of amusement for the participants, although at the same time it is the cause of several deaths and injuries on both people and property every year. In Sweden, the problems that follow street-racing are mainly crimes against the traffic ordinance and other traffic-related laws, as well as the danger posed for both drivers, bystanders and the general public. Helsingborg as a city has long appeared on the street-race scene, and been associated with a large interest in motor and vehicles, a lot thanks to the yearly recurring Vallåkraträffen, which expresses itself through unstructured vehicle gatherings, drifting and street-racing. The following study examines and clarifies the presence of street-racing in Helsingborg, in its fullest extent, and also how affected authorities and institutions have worked to combat the problem. The most central subject of the research questions of the study was to look into how street-racing is described in Helsingborg, what kind of non-criminal problems as well as crimes it brings, and in which way can the crime preventive work improve and develop? To accomplish this, semistructured interviews were held with key informants from the Police, Helsingborg municipalities Traffic Office and crime preventive coordinator as well as representatives of The swedish motorclub. In addition to this, reports of street-racing in news articles from Helsingborg were also analyzed. This study takes the shape of an explorative case study and therefore has a qualitative and inductive focus. The results of the interviews and news-articles showed that street-racing is an increasing problem in Helsingborg and it attracts both participants and spectators not just nationally but also from other countries. Street-racing is described as a difficult challenge to solve, and the problem has a tendency of moving rather than being solved when an effort is made. By looking at previous research from countries where street-racing is even more strongly rooted, in combination with newly gathered knowledge on how the work continues on a local level in Sweden, suggestions are given on how to work effectively against street-racing.

Helsingborg-Ängelholm, a comparison of the work of the municipalities regarding self generated health care activities for employed teachers.

Today you pay more and more attention to self generated health care. Political decisions affect the social development and thereby also conditions for people to feel healthy. As the municipalities are working with its inhabitants they are an important part of the self generated health care activities. The most part of our life we spend in school or at work and this is the reason why these places are the most suitable to create healthy people. From these thoughts we created the following aim of the study:
“The aim of this study is to investigate what kind of work regarding self generated health care that is performed by the municipalities of Helsingborg and Ängelholm towards the employed teachers and how the teachers apprehend this work. Beside we will compare the municipalities and the selected schools and look for differences and similarities. Using actual knowledge about self generated health care we will support with thoughts how to develop the work for better self generated health care.”
To answer the aim we have done 20 interviews of teachers, headmasters, responsible for human resources in the municipality, project leader for “Hälsovägen” as well as responsible for Child and Youth committee, all working within Helsingborg and Ängelholm municipalities.
Our result shows that there is an ongoing work regarding self generated health care in both municipalities, even though it is different. In Ängelhom there is a policy regarding self generated health care, including 1000 SEK as a subsidy for these kinds of activities, among a lot of other things for the employees. The municipality also arrange special health congresses and other projects regarding self generated health care. In Helsingborg the subsidy is 2000 SEK a year, together with a health care card with discounts. The municipality in Helsingborg also has a well developed team work with “Hälsoborgen”, the towns` answer to the company’s health care. This is missing in the municipality of Ängelholm, who instead has progressed a lot more regarding the self generated health care activities for the employed teachers. The most used part is the subsidy of the self generated health care activities; however this part must be paid by the schools themselves. This will lead to the schools reducing both the number of employees as well as materials to the pupils.
Theories regarding self generated health care and health focus on the importance to affect people physical, psychological and social. The municipalities we have compared are still working more on the physical part. It is not enough to have a good physique if you don’t feel good both psychologically and socially. This is something to think about for both of the municipalities, when they evaluate their self generated health care work. Helsingborg and Ängelholm need to enlarge their views concerning self generated health care, through learning from each other.

Повний текст джерелаThe purpose of this essay was to study the supporter cultures of Helsingborgs IF and Landskrona BoIS and to make a comparison between them with basis of the apprehensions that exists concerning the towns and the teams supporters. The intension was to consider the whole supporter culture and also all “regular” spectators at the arenas. Therefore an opinion poll among the spectators was realised at a home match of each team. The attendance at both matches had generally a good financial position. Helsingborgs IF had the widest catchment area. The female spectators at Landskrona BoIS’s home game were an interesting group. The rivalry between the clubs was clearest among Landskrona BoIS’s supporters.

Повний текст джерелаDimma är ett småskaligt och ofta komplext väderfenomen som alltid fascinerat människan med dess mystik. Men dimma kan också utgöra en ren livsfara i de fall dimma förekommer på och invid vägar, på grund av att sikten blir nedsatt. Genom Trafikverkets egna vägväderinformationssystem (VViS) kan säkerheten på vägarna förbättras samtidigt som trafikolyckor till följd av exempelvis dimma kan förebyggas. Trots VViS kan olyckor där dimma är den bidragande faktorn emellertid vara svåra att förhindra då dimma ofta är ett lokalt betingat väderfenomen och svår att prognostisera. Med anledning av det kan en statistisk kartläggning av dimma, i synnerhet längs en av Sveriges mest trafikerade vägar, vara till hjälp i fråga om hur dimförhållandena brukar te sig på en viss plats och utgöra ett bra hjälpmedel vid planering och utvecklingsarbeten för att förebygga trafikolyckor. Arbetet inleds med en teoridel där det redogörs hur dimma bildas och upplöses, vilka faktorer som inverkar på dimbildning, var dimbildning är som mest gynnsam, olika dimtyper samt kort om dess problematik inom vägtrafiken. Med hjälp av meteorologiska data från Trafikverkets vägväderinformationssystem (VViS) har dimma kartlagts vid sex platser längs väg E4 mellan Helsingborg och Jönköping under perioden 1 oktober 2004 – 30 april 2012. Syftet har varit att bestämma den totala frekvensen samt dygns- och månadsvariationen av dimma vid respektive plats, samt framför allt analysera hur lokala variationer i terräng och väder på respektive plats kan påverka förekomsten av dimma. Resultatet av kartläggningen visar bland annat att den tydligaste dygnsvariationen av dimma förekommer under april, där dimfrekvensen är som störst under morgontimmarna, medan förekomsten av dimma under framför allt november, december och januari är mera jämn fördelad över dygnets timmar. Det framkom även att dimma är vanligast vid de VViS-stationer som är belägna närmast kusten eller en större sjö, samt de platser vars lokalklimat karaktäriseras av kalluftsstagnation eller kraftig utstrålning i kombination med en fuktig miljö eller intilliggande sjöar och vattendrag.

Повний текст джерелаIn 2006 Helsingborg municipality receives a financial grant in order to establish educational groups for immigrant men. Approximately 300 men have by now taken part in these groups. The purpose is to increase immigrant men´s participation in society. Moreover, the groups are to affect the men´s attitudes towards gender equality. The theoretical discussion rests in an attempt to find a deeper understanding of the relation between societal structures and the free agent. Also, there is given an explanation of the term discursive power. In accordance to Judith Butler, who draws heavily on Foucault, the individual is created in and through the deed. In this understanding, the individual is free to act in a non-expected way. In this sense the individual is a free agent who at the same time is restricted by existing societal structure. In the analysis Swedish norms on masculinity are critically examined. These norms are informed by stereotypes of the Swedish man and the immigrant man. Stereotypes are in a sense nothing but imagined figures. Nevertheless, they constrain our ways of action. The stereotype of the Swedish man has a core of gender equality values. That is, the Swedish man, in accordance to the stereotype, are on an equal footing with women. In contradiction, the immigrant man, is the opposite. Now, the stereotypes are not necessarily true. However, they are nonetheless part of who we are. Knowledge of the countertype implies that your own identity is strengthened. When groups of immigrant men are created there will be a risk to sustain stereotypes. At the same time, education in Swedish norms can increase the immigrant men´s possibilities to take part in the normal. Awareness of the normal can eventually be a foundation from which the normal can be questioned and changed.

Повний текст джерелаThe study was conducted on behalf of Öresundskraft and is about new public biogas-driven multifunctional modules that will be located in Helsingborg's new districts in the H + area. The study was carried out in Helsingborg, where a survey was distributed within the areas that comprise the H + area. The purpose of the study has been to explore how the multifunctional modules should be designed to promote the 16 Swedish environmental quality objectives, to be attractive and sustainable, and to promote the energy behavior of users. The results show that there are different interpretations of what makes a public place attractive and sustainable. The conclusion is that the design of the new public space should be able to promote the goal to follow-up the Swedish environmental quality objectives, if the design supports them. However, the multifunction modules need to be supported by the remaining design of the H + area and the H + area's environmental profile, in order to contribute to it.

Повний текст джерелаPublic transportation is an essential part of many people’s everyday life and a natural segmentof the city. Research outside Sweden shows that the possibility for citizens to participate withinthe planning of public transportation is rather limited. There is a lack of knowledge whetherthis statement applies to a Swedish context or not. The purpose of this study was to contributewith knowledge and understanding to the discourse of citizen participation and the planning ofpublic transportation in Sweden. This has been achieved by a case study of a Bus RapidTransportation project called HelsingborgsExpressen (The Helsingborg Express) in the southernpart of Sweden. A content analysis and interviews with planners has resulted in a nuancedpicture of HelsingborgsExpressen and citizen participation within the public transportationplanning.The study shows that the planning of public transportation is based around a rational planningdiscourse that follows established planning principles and set goals. The goal of a redoubledmarket share for the public transportation occurs frequently within the discourse in question.The planning process for HelsingborgsExpressen is, in many regards, an example of this. Withinthe planning, one opportunity for citizen participation occurred in the district Råå. The purposeof this citizen participation was to let people prioritize amongst three possible routes for the bus.The study also shows that citizen participation within the planning of public transportation canbe used to inform the citizens, access their local knowledge as well as a tool for including thecitizens to a greater extent. Within HelsingborgsExpressen, the study shows that the citizens’local knowledge is valuable, but the question regarding how this local knowledge has been usedin the decision-making process still exists.

Повний текст джерелаThere are regular reports of recurring serious violent crime on Söder in Helsingborg and the district is characterized as one of Sweden’s most crime-prone areas. Helsingborg’s safety survey suggests that many people are worried about being assaulted or abused on Söder. The purpose of this thesis is to account for the development of violence in a public environment on Södergatan on Söder during the period 2010–2019. Furthermore, the aim is also to describe what measures have been implemented in the street. Based on the results and previous research, the paper also aims to contribute with knowledge on crime prevention and safety measures. Crime statistics indicate that violence in a public environment on Södergatan has decreased during the period 2010–2019. At the same time, the informants believe that there is a parallel society on Söder and that violence is largely clustered between criminals. They solve their problems within their own context and do not involve the police. As a result, the crime statistics do not illustrate the actual situation, but rather are subject to a large number of unrecorded cases. Helsingborg city and the police are now gathering strength and directing their focus on Söder, for example through the police city group and projects such as Purple flag. Despite ongoing work and projects with positive development, difficulties persist in working proactively in the district. Knowledge of, among other things, the development of crime, the current state of play and the effects of crime prevention measures are required. In conclusion, it can be noted that more studies are needed to comprehensive examine the situation, in order to get a more palpable view of crime on Söder in Helsingborg.

Denna studie avser att lyfta fram nattvandrarna och deras arbetssätt samt att se eventuell problematik som kan uppkomma från deras arbetsformer med ungdomar. Genom att utföra en deltagande observation i form av fältarbete under valborgsmässoafton, redogör denna uppsats för nattvandrarnas arbetssätt med ungdomar i Helsingborg. Uppsatsen innehåller även intervjuer med både tonårsföräldrar och tonåringar för att kunna lyfta fram den rådande uppfattningen om nattvandrarna och deras metoder.

Повний текст джерелаThe Swedish municipalities have traditionally, as suppliers of gas, electricity and district heating to end-use consumers, been one of the key actors of national energy politics. Yet, although Swedish district heating systems typically are owned by the public, neither electricity nor heat production is always under public control. This has historically imposed limitations on municipal plans for own CHP (Combined Heat and Power) plants and district heating systems. Previous research in the field have established that an organisational division between companies active in either heat or electricity supply was one of the most serious challenges for municipal engagement in energy affairs after WW2. Yet, in many cases municipal energy departments have engaged in joint cooperation projects with process industries and power companies, in order to utilize technical expertise and industrial waste heat for the build-up of the local energy system. Processes of initiating, developing and maintaining such cooperation projects - and the erection of municipal CHP plats - are focused upon here.
The purpose of this research project is to describe and analyse the roles played by two municipalities (Helsingborg and Gävle) in the years 1945-1983. The specific research questions were as follows: How were different socio-technical systems for electricity and heat supply introduced and how were different alternatives received within the frames of the municipal organisations? What was the impact of competition between different alternatives on the development of the local energy systems? It shows that strategies for municipal-industrial cooperation are vital for the possibilities of municipal energy companies to come to terms with the organisational gulf between power and heat companies. It is argued that the forming of strategical alliances can illustrate how municipal organisations not always act in autonomous positions. It can rather be the other way round - it is strategies for cooperation and competition that make the municipality a key actor in the local energy system.

Повний текст джерелаMedborgarna i en kommun spelar en viktig roll för hur den kommunala politiken skall se ut. Det finns många sätt att se på vad ett medborgarskap är för något och vilka skyldigheter och rättigheter man skall ha samt hur man som medborgare skall kunna utöva inflytande.
Ambitionen med arbetet har varit att studera och beskriva medborgarutskottens uppgång och fall i Helsingborgs stad. Detta görs genom teoretiska utgångspunkterna politisk kommunikation och olika syner på medborgarskap och demokrati. Dessa använder jag för att få svar på hur man ser på medborgarna och demokrati och för att kunna förklara den politiska processen som skett under medborgarutskottens existens samt ge svar på mina frågeställningar. Materialet i uppsatsen är främst hämtat genom intervjuer med politiker från socialdemokraterna, moderaterna och folkpartiet i Helsingborgs stad samt tre handläggare från medborgarutskotten och är grunden till mitt empiriska material. Intervjuerna har sedan kompletterats av andra sekundära källor så som Helsingborgs stads hemsida och forskare som Stig Montin.
Resultatet i min uppsats visar att medborgarutskotten hela tiden varit en omstridd fråga då socialdemokraterna valde att införa dem och de borgerliga att lägga ned dem. Motiven att lägga ned medborgarutskotten var att det var för dyrt och det var en onödig kanal för att nå politikerna enligt de borgerliga. Handläggarna och socialdemokraterna tror snarare att det var ideologiska skillnader varför man lade ner dem. I nuläget har man inte upprättat andra fasta kanaler för medborgardialog. Studien visar även på att det finns stora brister i kommunikationen när man skall föra information från medborgarutskotten till nämnder och styrelser.

Повний текст джерелаThis essay focuses on attitudes towards multilingualism within the Lower Primary Years classes at the International School of Helsingborg. It examines the existing opinions and attitudes of students and teachers in grades Kindergarten up to grade two. The main aim of this study investigates the attitudes and feelings that the students themselves have towards the linguistically wealthy environment that surrounds them. In addition to this, this study will also focus on how teachers’ attitudes, beliefs and previously acquired knowledge influence the teaching methods used in the classes on a daily basis. Many educators see the difficulties in studying the views that young children may have towards their languages and this is certainly a challenge, however, even children of such young ages are able to reflect upon such matters if the approach is correct and age appropriate. All students and teachers participated in a survey which lays the foundation for this inquiry. This study also takes into consideration the International curriculum that guide this school and the effect this has on the school establishment as a whole. Results show that most of the target students have a positive approach towards multilingualism in general and that teachers at the International School of Helsingborg share this standpoint.

Повний текст джерелаThe purpose of this thesis is to investigate optimal order quantities at the coffee producer Zoéga’s packaging lines in Helsingborg. The company is currently unaware of how order quantities affect their production; with regards to productivity as well as setup- and holding costs. With a long-term vision of incorporating “pull planning”, the case company also needs to evaluate the capabilities of their current production system. The case study mainly addresses two areas; one comparing historical productivity in relation to order quantity, and one determining optimal order quantity with the scheduling-tool known as “Economic lot scheduling problem”. One of the packaging lines results in a classic case of “Basic period approach”, a problem frequently reviewed in ELSP-literature. The other lines have sequence dependent setup times, which required a more complex model. The primarily data collection has been from internal production- and management systems. The ELSP-results generated optimal order quantities and production schedules for all packaging lines. The study also found statistically significant correlations between order quantity and productivity for Zoéga’s. These correlations compiled upper and lower limits for the most productive order quantities; where most of the ELSP-quantities placed inside these limits. Finally, the study shows that by implementing these suggestions, Zoéga’s could speed up their product turnover and be better prepared for “pull planning” implementation in the future.

Повний текст джерелаThe school is an advantageous place to conduct crime prevention. However the responsibility should not only be on the shoulders of the school. This paper discusses local collaboration between school and police as an example of crime prevention practices. This study is conducted at an elementary school in one of Helsingborg's risk areas. The aim is to give a picture of how the elementary school employee 1) experience the current collaboration with the police, and 2) how they would like the cooperation to be. The study has been conducted using a qualitative web survey. The result shows that current collaboration is minimal or non-existent. Participants in the study have expressed their willingness to cooperate with the police, but without any results. Something that the results shows to be due to factors both by the school and the police. In order to make an interaction work, literature points to the need for structure, good communication and commitment. Furthermore, through common goals, a long-term sustainable crime-prevention work can be reached. The final discussion argues how Helsingborg's risk areas would win on a closer cooperation between the school and the police. Further studies in the field recommend focusing on the police perspective on crime prevention cooperation with the school in Helsingborg's risk areas.

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis studies municipal policy processes where several policy sectors are involved: the transition to alternative fuels in public transport. Examining how and why those policies have developed in two municipalities, the study will contribute to explain how policy are shaped on a municipal level and also contribute to further knowledge of policy processes where different sectors are involved. Through case studies, the policy processes concerning the introduction of biogas in city buses in the municipalities of Linköping and Helsingborg have been studied. The study is process oriented and mainly focuses on how and why actors with their resources, interests, problem definitions and solutions, can influence policy. The results show that the processes consisted of traditional policy sectors where actors, interests and resources differed between the sectors. In addition, the thesis shows that a connection between the energy, environment and transport policy sectors has been essential for policy development. Boundary walkers – that is, policy entrepreneurs that crossed the boundaries between the three sectors – have been central to initiate broad collaborations where actors representing energy, environment and public transport identified and strived to a common goal.

Повний текст джерелаThe extensive material use in today's society is demanding for the Earth's natural resources. A possible source for future resources is landfills; the landfills often contain both recyclable metals and other waste fractions suitable for energy recovery. The concept landfill mining (LFM) is a way to exploit the resources found in landfills. In a LFM-project the landfill is excavated with subsequent material and energy recycling.A location where landfill mining could be suitable is the Filborna landfill in Helsingborg. Three sections of the landfill are considered to be especially interesting for a possible excavation; Lagringsytan, BCR1, and Rökille. This thesis is a pilot study for future LFM-projects on Filborna with the aim to identify critical factors for the projects’ implementation. It includes retrieving the material composition of the landfills and an evaluation of the economic and environmental performance of each project.The method is a case study-approach with the goal to identify the specific conditions for each landfill. This is achieved by a background study for each landfill, where factors such as landfill volume, age, material composition, and methane production are examined. The background study complements through a field study where excavation/exploration drilling, picking analysis, and chemical analysis provide extended information. In order to perform the economic and environmental calculations, two scenarios are set up for each landfill; a reference case with business as usual and a LFM-scenario with excavation and subsequent treatment according to the specific landfill conditions.The financial calculations show that two out of three projects have a greater cost connected to the LFM-scenario than for the business as usual scenario. Regarding the environmental performance, the LFM-processes at the landfills Lagringsytan and BCR1 result in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions compared to the reference case. On the contrary, the results show that the gypsym landfill Rökille yields more greenhouse gas emissions in the LFM-scenario.Based on the results, six critical factors for profitability and environmental performance are identified: (1) It is difficult to find data on a landfill’s material composition in advance and the information available is often uncertain. (2) A landfill mining project can prevent future methane emissions. However, it is possible that methane hidden in the landfill is released during excavation. (3) LFM requires a specific design of the separation process and suitable technology developed specifically for landfill mining is not available on the market today. (4) The law on this area is unclear and several regulations discourage resource recycling of old landfills. For example the limits for metal content and landfill taxation affect the outcome of an excavation. (5) Metals are the only material fractions generating an income in today’s LFM-projects. In addition, the recycling of metals leads to avoided emissions from virgin metals. (6) The cost of sending the fuel fraction to combustion is the largest single cost item in the LFM-scenarios for the two landfills with combustible waste. Also, the combustion causes emissions of fossil carbon dioxide due to the waste’s high plastic content.

Повний текст джерелаTemporary uses and social sustainability, are they two concepts that can go hand in hand? Through this essay, which is a case study of the temporary project Pixlapiren, we investigate if it is possible. Pixlapiren is a project in an urban development area in southern Helsingborg that will start to be built within a few years. The study aims to investigate and gain an understanding of how the developers perspective of Pixlapiren differs or is similar with the experiences of the users. We question whether temporary uses work in the Swedish society. The methods used in this paper are document analysis, observation and interviews. In the theoretical background we present concepts and theories from the temporality and social sustainability discourse. The working process has been influenced by the prevailing pandemic, Covid-19. Pixla is considered to be a socially sustainable place and a rewarding part of society according to the users. The ideas and initiatives of the users have the possibility to affect the future planning of the place. Pixlapiren is an example of a well-functioning temporary use. In the meantime criticism is addressed to the municipality's service personnel who lack commitment to location and development. We argue that the path to social sustainability needs to be as sustainable as the goal.

Повний текст джерелаThe purpose of this study is to further develop knowledge of this topic and discuss the potential negative effects of car traffic on urban planning in multitude of Swedish cities, with Helsingborg as an example. In the study, the car's historical importance and origin in Sweden is presented and how the planning of the Swedish cities and society has been characterized by car traffic. Sustainability is vigorously associated with the development of traffic and cities and therefore the term is also highlighted in the essay. The methods for this work have been based on scientific books and articles as well as interviews conducted with officials from the municipality who are acquainted with the matter at hand. The results of this work have been primarily answers to question formulations inquired in the outset of the attained examination. The answers were cited after analysis in relation to the situation in Helsingborg.Helsingborg is a Swedish city located in the south of the nation in the region of Skåne by the Öresund, opposite of Denmark. The city has an important geographical location as it affects the development opportunities of the surrounding area, municipalities and regions. The city faces complications regarding air pollution with numbers exceeding the limit of normal pollution. Other issues generated as repercussions of car traffic that affects residents substantially are excessively high noise levels, accidents, insecurity, congestion which is repulsive and consistently competing as well as constantly threatening the conditions of other means of conveyance. One tool that the Municipality of Helsingborg has at their disposal in order to reduce car travel is predominantly parking, availability accessibility of other means of transport and also new densified sustainable urban renewal projects such as H+.

Повний текст джерелаIn the city of Helsingborg, a new district called Oceanhamnen is under construction in a former port and industrial area, making room for centrally located housing, commercial properties and public spaces. This master thesis aims to investigate the interests influencing the urban waterfront redevelopment in Oceanhamnen under the condition that there are no residents in the district yet. The study is focusing on social sustainability and how the voices of the public are taken care of through stakeholders and citizen participation. This master thesis is designed as a case study with material mainly consisting of semi-structured interviews. The material is set in a theoretical framework concerning the just city and the relation between a neoliberal urbanism and the communicative turn in urban planning. The conclusions show how commercial interest has dominated housing construction in Oceanhamnen and that very few efforts have been made to obtain the public's views on the urban redevelopment. Furthermore, the city’s ambition for a socially sustainable district has been difficult to meet up to, partly based on physical barriers that make it harder for the area to integrate with the rest of the city and partly through housing that is primarily address a affluent target group.

Повний текст джерелаThe purpose of this study is to examine how the work environment and indoor air quality has changed onboard M/S Aurora af Helsingborg after the conversion from diesel electric to battery. The results have been compared to Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) hygienic exposure limits, World Health Organizations (WHO) guidelines and previous measurements from 2014 done on Aurora before the conversion to battery drive. At that time Aurora was propelled by four Wärtsilä-Vasa 6R32E diesel engines running on environmental diesel. During seven days in March from 9th to 16th 2019, data was collected on the vessel Aurora by different types of passive samplers: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), benzo(a)pyrene, total volatile organic substances (TVOC), benzene, temperature, relative humidity, particulate matter (PM), SO2, NO2. The result from the data collected showed that the indoor air quality onboard and the inside environment has improved after the conversion. All measured data were much lower than the hygienic limit values that Swedish Work Environment Authority has set. The values of the data were also lower than recommendations except from TVOC in purifier room. The duties on board Aurora has changed for the better since the conversion, including less management of oil products.
