Анотація:
As many software applications have moved from a desktop software deployment model to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model so we have seen tool vendors in the language service industry move to a SaaS model, e.g., for web-based Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools. However, many of these offerings fail to take full advantage of the Open Web Platform, i.e., the rich set of web browser-based APIs linked to HTML5. We examine the interoperability landscape that developers of web-based translation tools can benefit from, and in particular the potential offered by the open metadata defined in the W3C’s (World Wide Web Consortium) recent Internationalization Tag Set v2.0 Recommendation. We examine how this can be used in conjunction with the XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) standardized by OASIS to exchange translation jobs between servers and Javascript-based CAT tools running in the web browser. We also explore how such open metadata can support activities in the multilingual web processing chain before and after translation.

Анотація:
The high-profile attacks of malicious HTML and JavaScript code have seen a dramatic increase in both awareness and exploitation in recent years. Unfortunately, exiting security mechanisms provide no enough protection. We propose a new protection mechanism named PMHJ based on the support of both web applications and web browsers against malicious HTML and JavaScript code in vulnerable web applications. PMHJ prevents the injection attack of HTML elements with a random attribute value and the node-split attack by an attribute with the hash value of the HTML element. PMHJ ensures the content security in web pages by verifying HTML elements, confining the insecure HTML usages which can be exploited by attackers, and disabling the JavaScript APIs which may incur injection vulnerabilities. PMHJ provides a flexible way to rein the high-risk JavaScript APIs with powerful ability according to the principle of least authority. The PMHJ policy is easy to be deployed into real-world web applications. The test results show that PMHJ has little influence on the run time and code size of web pages.

A coleta automatizada de dados, também conhecida como raspagem (scraping) é um recurso cada vez mais comum no jornalismo. A partir do acesso ao repositório digital do site www.web.archive.org, também conhecido como WayBackMachine, desenvolvemos a prova de conceito de um algoritmo capaz de recuperar, listar e oferecer ferramentas básicas de análise sobre dados coletados a partir das diversas versões de portais jornalísticos ao longo do tempo. Анотація:
Interactive and integrative data visualization tools and libraries are integral to exploration and analysis of genomic data. Web based genome browsers allow integrative data exploration of a large number of data sets for a specific region in the genome. Currently available web-based genome browsers are developed for specific use cases and datasets, therefore integration and extensibility of the visualizations and the underlying libraries from these tools is a challenging task. Genomic data visualization and software libraries that enable bioinformatic researchers and developers to implement customized genomic data viewers and data analyses for their application are much needed. Using recent advances in core web platform APIs and technologies including Web Components, we developed the Epiviz Component Library, a reusable and extensible data visualization library and application framework for genomic data. Epiviz Components can be integrated with most JavaScript libraries and frameworks designed for HTML. To demonstrate the ease of integration with other frameworks, we developed an R/Bioconductor epivizrChart package, that provides interactive, shareable and reproducible visualizations of genomic data objects in R, Shiny and also create standalone HTML documents. The component library is modular by design, reusable and natively extensible and therefore simplifies the process of managing and developing bioinformatic applications.

There is a rampant appreciation to the analysis framework which is a mean for drafting a vigorous and fairer educational institution system. In a developing country like India, where higher education is presaged to develop new resources for serving its people, an extremely effectual and fair reliable automated feedback system is essential for assessment. In this article, an automated educator feedback system is proposed. As faculty performance and feedback analysis are essential to facilitate educators find effectual teaching and learning in order to better engage students in classes. This system aimed at holding teacher's accountability for their performance. The proposed system is based on technologies like PHP, JavaScript, HTML, XAMPP server, MYSQL, and Google APIs. This system will help the institution bureaucrats to write confidential appraisal report. The proposed system analysis the feedback class wise as well as individual faculty wise and provide the analysis in the form of Google charts.

As Security is becoming more and more useful in the field of computing, users would like to be sure of how secure their files are on a system, as security is one of the most crucial fields in networking and file storage. Dependable file storage and access establish several security issues in a cloud computing. This research designed and implemented virtual secure file storage system on cloud using hybrid cryptography. The cryptography method used for file encryption and decryption is AES and SHA-2 hash function. It is implemented using Cloud APIs with REST calls or client libraries in PHP. The system interfaces were developed using HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT. Back end development was done using PHP, MYSQL and GCP Cloud Storage Library then the file encryption and decryption was achieved through PHP classes which includes open_ssl_file_encryption and decryption (AES) and also MCRYPT function. The proposed virtual system is also compared with some latest related works.

Attendance is a document that represents each employee at the company or representative. Some of the challenges experienced by KSPPS BMT INSAN MANDIRI are marketing that is difficult to carry out attendance when coming out of the office because of increased marketing activities that are directly related to members / out-of-office expenses. Therefore the researcher got findings to solve the problem that occurred by making an Android-based online attendance application that can be connected directly with the sarver provided by the office. This application is equipped with the introduction of security and the use of manipulations made by employees, and this application is equipped with monitoring features so that marketing managers and managers can set marketing positions in realtime. In this study, researchers used HTML and PHP programming languages for web applications that use presence servers / data centers, webside uses Google map APIs to obtain marketing positions, and presence reports can be purchased from the webside. The hope of this research is that the online android mobile attendance application with face recognition security can run well and meet the needs of the KSPPS BMT INSAN MANDIRI.

The application described has been designed to create bibliographic entries in large databases with diverse sources automatically, which reduces both the frequency of mistakes and the workload for the administrators. This new system uniquely identifies each reference from its digital object identifier (DOI) and retrieves the corresponding bibliographic information from any of several online services, including the SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data Systems (ADS) and CrossRef APIs. Once parsed into a relational database, the software is able to produce bibliographies in any of several formats, including HTML and BibTeX, for use on websites or printed articles. The application is provided free-of-charge for general use by any scientific database. The power of this application is demonstrated when used to populate reference data for the HITRAN and AMBDAS databases as test cases. HITRAN contains data that is provided by researchers and collaborators throughout the spectroscopic community. These contributors are accredited for their contributions through the bibliography produced alongside the data returned by an online search in HITRAN. Prior to the work presented here, HITRAN and AMBDAS created these bibliographies manually, which is a tedious, time-consuming and error-prone process. The complete code for the new referencing system can be found on the HITRANonline GitHub website.

Existing Freelancer Management Systems are not being adequately efficient, inconveniencing to a certain degree the freelance workforce, which comprises around 1.1 billion freelancers globally. This paper thereby aims to resolve the impediments of similar existing systems. Pertaining to the methodology, qualitative analysis was adopted. Interviews, participant observation, interface analysis, workshop documents, research papers, books and articles were used to draw data about similar applications. A web application was implemented to fulfil the objectives by using WAMP as a local development server, Visual Studio Code as a source code editor, and HTML, PHP, Python, SQL, JavaScript and CSS as programming languages along with Ajax for requests-handling functionalities, and already available APIs, and jQuery and Python libraries. The contributions brought forth are providing a shortlist of the best-qualified freelancers for each project via Machine Learning technique, generating an automated invoice and payment as soon as an entrepreneur supplies a monetary figure when approving the deliverable of a project, and enabling freelancers to sign contracts electronically to comply with business terms on one centralised repository, unlike existing systems which do not support these 3 features together on the same platform. The multivariate regression model used for intelligent hiring performs satisfactorily by yielding a R2 of around 0.9993.

The outcome of this study will surely help visually impaired people who face difficulties in accessing the computer system. Voice recognition will help them to access email. This study also reduces the cognitive load taken by visually impaired users to remember and type characters using a keyboard. If this system is implemented, self-esteem and social and emotional well-being of the visually impaired users will be lifted up for they will now feel they are being valued in society and has fair treatment and access to technology main function of this study is to use a keyboard of the user that will respond through voice. The purpose of this study is to help a visually impaired person to use the modern application to interact with voice recognition systems with the use of email into different types of modern gadgets, Line computers, or mobile phones. In terms of functionality of the application, the proponents will use a set of APIs,' or Application Program Interface such as Google Speech-to-text and text-to-speech application and it will process through Email System and also the SNMTP or Simple Network Management Protocol will be used for mailing services, in programming software, the proponent will be using PHP for the backend of a web interface. For the creation of a Web Base UI, HTML and CSS will be used. Voice typing and Dictation Speech Interaction models using windows dictation engine. The proponent used a descriptive research design in this study. Descriptive research design is being used by the proponents to describe the characteristics of a population or phenomenon of visually impaired persons being studied. Descriptive research is mainly done because the researchers want to gain a better understanding of a topic. It focuses on providing information that is useful in the development. The research is based on a mixed method focused on producing such informative outcomes that can be used. Based on the results of the surveys, conclusions were drawn: The majority of the respondents were male adultery period ranging from ages 32-41.all are working as massage therapists. The majority of the respondents rated the overall function of the application as Excellent and rated the level of security of the application as Secured.

Le progrès technologique offre désormais de plus en plus aux utilisateurs divers équipements connectés et intelligents. En conséquence, la gestion des données entre ces équipements a fait l’objet d’ un nombre croissant d’études. Les applications déjà proposées sont principalement basées sur des solutions propriétaires dites solutions privées ou fermées. Toutefois, cette stratégie a toujours montré ses insuffisances en termes de problèmes de sécurité, de coût, de simplicité pour les développeurs et de transparence des solutions. Migrant vers des solutions standardisées, HTML5 propose de nouvelles fonctionnalités pour répondre aux exigences des entreprises et des utilisateurs. L’objectif principal est de mettre à la disposition des développeurs web un langage simple pour la mise en œuvre des applications concurrentes à moindre coût. Ces applications ne sont pas liées ni aux dispositifs utilisés ni aux logiciels installés. Trois contributions font l’objet de nos travaux. Dans la première partie, nous proposons un Coffre Fort Client basé sur les APIs HTML5 de stockage. Tout d’abord, nous commençons par le renforcement de la sécurité de ces API pour fournir une base sécurisée à notre Coffre Fort Client. Dans la deuxième contribution, nous proposons un protocole de synchronisation appelé SyncDS qui est caractérisé par son efficacité avec une consommation minimale des ressources. Nous traitons enfin les problèmes de sécurité, et nous nous concentrons principalement sur le contrôle d’accès dans le cas de partage des données tout en respectant les exigences des Coffres Forts
Due to technological advancements, people are constantly manipulating multiple connected and smart devices in their daily lives. Cross-device data management, therefore, remains the concern of several academic and industrial studies. The proposed frameworks are mainly based on proprietary solutions called private or closed solutions. This strategy has shown its deficiency on security issues, cost, developer support and customization. In recent years, however, the Web has faced a revolution in developing standardized solutions triggered by the significant improvements of HTML5. With this new version, innovative features and APIs are introduced to follow business and user requirements. The main purpose is to provide the web developer with a vendor-neutral language that enables the implementation of competing application with lower cost. These applications are related neither to the used devices nor to the installed software. The main motivation of this PhD thesis is to migrate towards the adoption of standardized solutions to ensure secure and reliable cross-device data management in both the client and server side. There is already a proposed standardized Cloud Digital Safe on the server side storage that follows the AFNOR specification while there is no standardized solution yet on the client-side. This thesis is focused on two main areas : 1) the proposal of a standardized Client Digital Safe where user data are stored locally and 2) the synchronization of these data between the Client and the Cloud Digital Safe and between the different user devices. We contribute in this research area in three ways. First, we propose a Client Digital Safe based on HTML5 Local Storage APIs. We start by strengthening the security of these APIs to be used by our Client Digital Safe. Second, we propose an efficient synchronization protocol called SyncDS with minimum resource consumption that ensures the synchronization of user data between the Client and the Cloud Digital Safe. Finally, we address security concerns, in particular, the access control on data sharing following the Digital Safe requirements

With the advent of HTML5 as the new standard, web pages became an alternative to native Android and iPhone applications, what made it possible to reduce time and cost of app development and maintenance processes.This thesis is aimed for finding, analyzing and documenting experience and criteria that have weight in a selection of the technology for development of search apps. To achieve this, were developed and compared three alternative client apps (Web-based HTML5, Android and iOS).The results of the thesis provides recommendations for selection the appropriate alternative for the successful development strategy, overview of the problems which may occur during development process, pros and cons of a plain Web-based solution, a Web-hybrid solution, and native Android/iOS solutions that are evaluated for a search intensive apps.

This diploma thesis describes new HTML5 standard. The aim is to show the potential uses and benefits of HTML5 compared to HTML4. Another objective is to analyze the support of HTML5 in most advanced web browsers on desktops and mobile devices. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is divided into 5 chapters. The first chapter describes the introduction to the main concepts and definitions. The second chapter describes the differences between HTML4 and HTML5 elements. The third chapter describes HTML5 API. The fourth chapter analyzes the support of HTML5 featu- res in web browsers. Last chapter of the theoretical part discusses tools based on best practices which are useful for developing HTML5 applications. In the practical part, there are implemented real examples of HTML5 features. Practical examples are described as a tutorial. The contribution of this work is a demonstration of the advantages of HTML5 over the old standard. Contribution is also analysis of support of HTML5 features in web browsers. The diploma thesis is intended primarily for web developers and can be used as a reference guide. HTML5 is the standard of the future, and web developers can contribute to the overall improvement of the web by using it.

In recent years, there hasbeen a growing interest in cross-platform development and HTML5 as adevelopment tool. The possibility for developers to code once and run onmultiple platforms could decrease development costs and make it easier totarget more platforms and reach more people. The popularity of HTML5 hasattracted developers to create tools that make the development process easier and faster.The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the use of HTML5 as development tool forcross-platform development, based on a case study where a prototype of acontext-aware application for news recommendation is built. This goal is reachedby studying current technologies, as well as the implemented solution of themobile news application. After the theoretical study and implementation of themobile news application is completed, an evaluation of the findings are carriedout to check if HTML5 is suitable for cross-platform mobile applicationdevelopment, based on the given use case. The evaluation results are then usedto give a conclusion about how well suited HTML5 is for this purpose.The mobile news application has been developed both as a pure webapplication and a hybrid application, where Apache Cordova is used as frameworkfor the hybrid approach. Evaluation of the two development approaches and thefindings in this thesis shows that the hybrid approach was slightly better thanthe pure web approach for the given case, especially when looking at the qualityof the application.

The theme of this work is the conversion of Word 2007 document to the HTML format. The work contains the analysis of existing convertors and description of their disadvantages and errors. The format of the OOXML document, especially WordprocessingML document, is described in detail. API used for work with OOXML documents is described too. The main contribution of this work is development of a new convertor of WordprocessingML documents to HTML format. This converor enables to divide the output to more parts. User can choose type of dividing: by sections or by style(s) of paragraph. The convertor is described in the last chapter.

Анотація:
This Master's thesis was written to create the extension for an experimental rendering engine CSSBox about scripting support in JavaScript language. In the theoretical section the thesis describes the architecture of the rendering engine and introduces problems of the scripting in HTML documents according to the recommended HTML 5 specification. This thesis deals with thorough analysis of existing scripting engines and their interfaces, which could be used for the extension implementation. Depending on the knowledge gained from the previous parts this thesis focuses only on the scripting engine Rhino and introduces an abstract design of its integration into the CSSBox project. At the end it evaluates the reliability and efficiency of the implemented functionalities and considers possibilities of their further development.

Kan användandet av mobiltelefoner användas till positionsangivelser med godtagbar felmarginal? Kan ett mindre frekvent användande av GPS-signal användas för reducerad batteråtgång, och vilken teknik för rendering av grafiskt material belastar mobiltelefonens CPU på minsta sätt? Dessa frågor ställs och undersöks i detta arbete. Med bakgrund i Global Position Systems GPS, utreds positionering med hjälp av satelliter och triangulering av bl.a. mobilmaster och Wifi-signal. Användandet av ett geografiskt API ger möjligheten att skapa ett lätt och hanterbart gränssnitt som återger positioner för en användare. Med stöd i HTML5 för Canvas och SVG-element renderas förlustfri vektoriserad grafik utan kravet att installera insticksmoduler från tredjepart. Med hjälp av JavaScript och HTML5 skapas en applikation som har till syfte att återge en spelares position på en renderad golfbana.

Målet med det här arbetet har varit att utveckla en ljudmotor skriven i JavaScript som underlättar ljuddesign för webbsidor. Ett sekundärt mål har varit att diskutera hur relevant Flash är för ljuddesign på webben och huruvida HTML5 har möjligheten att ersätta Flash i framtiden. En ljudmotor som har fått namnet Klang har utvecklats som ett JavaScriptbibliotek för integration med interaktiva webbsidor. Ljudmotorn använder Web Audio API, den nyligen föreslådda ljudstandarden för HTML5, som bas för uppspelning och processering av ljud. För att anpassa ljuddesignen för olika typer av webbsidor har Klang möjligheten att dynamiskt styra hur musik och ljud spelas upp beroende på vilken typ av webbsida den används för och hur en besökare använder denna webbsida. Klang kommer att behöva fortsatt underhåll i framtiden när Web Audio API växer men ger en god överblick av vad som är ljudmässigt möjligt med HTML5 utan externa plugin. Rapportens slutsats förespråkar utvecklingen av HTML5 och möjligheterna det har infört ur ett ljudperspektiv men medger att Flash än så länge behåller sin plats i webbutvecklarens repertoar.
The primary objective of this work has been developing a JavaScript audio engine to aid in designing audio for the web. This project also covers discussion of whether or not HTML5 may replace Flash for the purpose of sound design for the web in the future. Klang, an audio engine available as a JavaScript plugin has been developed to be integrated with interactive websites. The audio engine uses Web Audio API, the newly proposed audio standard for HTML5, for audio playback and processing. To be able to adapt the audio engine for the web site it is used for, Klang offers a way to dynamically control the behaviour of music and sounds according to the type of web site it is used for and how users interact with the web site. Klang will be in need of updates as the Web Audio API continues to develop but demonstrates the potential of the audio features of HTML5. The conclusion of the report advocates the use of pure HTML5 and the improvements it brings to the web's audio department but recognizes that Flash still has a place in the repertoire of the web developer.

Front of large amount of personal mobile devices sold in the market and the vast amount of location technologies available for use by this equipment, we present a solution of localization that is able to position geographically a user and his friends on any mobile device, regardless of the equipment localization technology, as well as calculate the distance that it is in relation to friends and set the distance to be notified of the proximity thereof. This solution consists of two localization services: the localization service that uses the HTML5 Geolocation API and the localization service that uses Dynamic Web Service. Both services have been deployed and tested in SocialNetLab, which is the mobile social network that was implemented to validate these location services, serve as a laboratory for future research on social networks and will be available for the Department of Computer Science, of the University Federal of Sergipe. The main result we obtained the integration of two localization services in a mobile social network, the SocialNetLab, making it able to find and notify users of the proximity of friends regardless of localization technology available on the device (mobile or not). Upon completion of the tests we obtained satisfactory results in both localization services tested.
Diante da grande quantidade de dispositivos móveis pessoais vendidos no mercado e do vasto número de tecnologias de localização disponível para serem utilizadas por esses equipamentos, apresentamos uma solução de localização que é capaz de posicionar geograficamente um usuário e seus amigos em qualquer dispositivo móvel, independente da tecnologia de localização presente no equipamento, bem como calcular a distancia que o mesmo se encontra em relação aos amigos e definir a distância que deseja ser notificado da proximidade dos mesmos. Essa solução é composta por dois serviços de localização: o serviço de localização que utiliza a API de Geolocalização do HTML5 e o serviço de localização que utiliza Web Service Dinâmico. Ambos os serviços foram implantados e testados na SocialNetLab, que é a rede social móvel que foi implementada para validar esses serviços de localização e que servirá de laboratório para futuras pesquisas em redes sociais e estará disponível para o Departamento de Computação da Universidade Federal de Sergipe. Como principal resultado obtivemos a integração de dois serviços de localização em uma rede social móvel, a SocialNetLab, tornando-a capaz de localizar e notificar usuários da proximidade de amigos independente da tecnologia de localização disponível no dispositivo (móvel ou não). Ao término dos testes obtivemos resultados satisfatórios nos dois serviços de localização testados.

Анотація:
Websites are today one of the most common ways for humans to interact with each other. Evolving from just static pages for companies to highly dynamic social medias, websites are built upon complex techniques and architectures to meet end-user demands. One of the latest techniques are single page applicationswhich makes use of the web browsers capabililities to execute application code. One drawback is that search engines cannot visit the site, nor can script-disabled web browsers. For a single page application to function on all devices a new concept called isomorphism needs to be considered. The aim of this thesis have been to analyze, design and implement an isomorphic web application using modern technologies. The practical work have been applied using an agile project method, while theoretical works are based on previous knowledge and an internet based research. The implementation went through several iterations of trial and error but was finally completed with Facebook's React framework together with a modified version of the Flux architecture. The resulting application was implemented in both Ember and the proposed isomorphic solution. Benchmarks of both implementations were carried out and compared with each other to see how the thesis' isomorphic solution performed. The results shows an performance increase in the isomorphic solution. In conclusion the full application was not implemented due to time limits, but the most performance critical parts were. While only one framework was compared, it would be of interest to compare with more frameworks to give a better performance overview.

Many HTML 5 features enable you to build audio applications for web browsers, simplifying the distribution of these applications, and turning any computer, mobile, and portable device into a digital musical instrument. Developing such applications is not an easy task for layprogrammers or non-programmers and may require some effort by musicians and artists to encode audio applications based on HTML5 technologies and APIs. In order to simplify this task, this paper presents the Mosaicode, a Visual programming environment that enables the development of Digital Musical Instruments using the visual programming paradigm. Applications can be developed in the Mosaicode from diagrams – blocks, which encapsulate basic programming functions, and connections, to exchange information among the blocks. The Mosaicode, by having the functionality of generating, compiling and executing codes, can be used to quickly prototype musical instruments, and make it easy to use for beginners looking for learn programming and expert developers who need to optimize the construction of musical applications.

The concept of a probability distribution is in the core of all modern data-driven modeling, simulation, analytics, inference, prediction, and prognostication of observable natural phenomena. Despite the large number of possible probability distributions and their significant heterogeneity, only dozens of distributions are named and well understood, many are interconnected, and all of them span the universe of all possible physical processes. This manuscript presents the probability Distributome, which allows navigation, exploration and learning of many univariate distributions, and facilitate the computation and visualization associated with univariate, bivariate and trivariate probability distributions. We illustrate applications of three specific resources including an HTML5/JavaScript applications (http://Distributome.org), RShiny apps (https://socr.umich.edu/html/dist) and 2D and 3D Plotly apps (https://socr.umich.edu/HTML5/BivariateNormal/BVN2/). These resources are freely accessible, open-source, and platform agnostic. Both learners and instructors may utilize, expand, improve, and customize these tools for their specific research and education needs.
