Electrical energy is considered to be the heart of modern civilization. Traditional electricalenergy generation approaches which usually rely on oil and its derivatives, produce different kinds of pollution in addition to being expensive to implement and maintain. And most important, they are exhaustible on the long run. The sun is an unlimited source of energy for humanity around the world and a competitive energy with strong potential. The solar systems technology offers a promising method for the large scale use of solar energy in the southern zone of Algeria. The magnitude of solar radiation is the most important parameter for sizing these systems. This study presents a techno-economic feasibility evaluation for an installation of a stand-alone PV system which covers the electric demand of 20 houses in the province of Tindouf located in the South-West of Algeria. The aim is to select the appropriate components and see the results of the simulation using the hybrid simulator iHOGA, which include the total cost, CO2 emissions and their impact on the environment.

Techno-economic, social, and environmental factors influence a large part of society, predominantly in developing countries. Due to energy poverty and bloating populations, developing countries like India are striving to meet the energy balance. One initiative of India to achieve the country’s Renewable Energy Target (RET) is the setting up of the National Solar Mission (NSM) to meet a target of 175 GW (non-hydro) by the year 2022. Prioritizing Renewable Energy (RE) utilization to achieve techno-economic balance is India’s primary objective and creating a positive environmental impact is a bonus. In this study, various scenarios are explored by investigating the techno-economic and environmental impact on RE adoption for a small community in India by optimally sizing the Hybrid Renewable Energy System (HRES). This study is an exemplar in understanding and exploring RE utilization, whilst examining the recent RE market in depth and exploring the advantages and disadvantages of the current RE situation by initiating it in a smaller community. Improved Hybrid Optimization using Genetic Algorithm (iHOGA) PRO+ software, (Version 2.4 -Pro+ , Created by Dr Rodolfo Dufo López, University Zaragoza (Spain)) is used to size the RE systems. The results are categorized using triple bottom line analysis (TBL analysis) and for different scenarios, the techno-economic, environmental, and social merits are weighed upon. The probable hurdles that India has to surpass to achieve easy RE adoption are also discussed in this work. The influential merits for analyzing the TBL for a real-time scenario are Net Present Cost (NPC), Carbon-di-oxide (CO2) emissions, and job criteria. Compared to Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources (HOMER) software, iHOGA remains less explored in the literature, specifically for the grid-connected systems. The current study provides a feasibility analysis of grid-connected RE systems for the desired location. iHOGA software simulated 15 sets of results for different values of loads considered and various acquisition costs of HRES. At least 70% of RE can be penetrated for the Aralvaimozhi community with the lowest value of NPC of the HRES. From the TBL analysis conducted, integrating HRES into a micro-grid for the community would result in mitigating CO2 emissions and provide job opportunities to the local community; although, the economic impact should be minimized if the acquisition costs of the HRES are reduced, as has been established through this study.

Este documento establece una base metodológica para el diseño de un sistema híbrido aislado de red para el Centro de Operaciones Espaciales Cotopaxi del Instituto Espacial Ecuatoriano, utilizando el software iHOGA Hybrid Renewable Optimization by Genetic Algorithms, para la optimización de componentes y la estrategia de control. Además, presenta un estudio de demanda y de los recursos renovables presentes en la estación Cotopaxi, utilizando las mediciones de la Estación M120 del Instituto Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrología INAMHI, mediciones de la Nasa de radiación solar y de recurso eólico, los mapas de radiación solar del CONELEC y el mapa Eólico del MEER. Se finaliza con el procedimiento y análisis para la evaluación financiera escogiendo la mejor solución técnica y económica de diferentes.

Since mid 2010, petrol consumption in the transport sector has increased at a higher rate than in other sectors. The transport sector generates 35% of the total CO2 emissions. In this context, strategies have been adopted to use clean energy, with electromobility being the main directive. This paper examines the possibility of charging electric vehicle batteries with clean energy using solar autochthonous renewable resources. An isolated system was designed, dimensioned, and simulated in operation for a charging station for electric vehicles with photovoltaic panels and batteries as their main components. The optimal configuration of the photovoltaic system was complete with improved Hybrid Optimization by Genetic Algorithms (iHOGA) software version 2.4 and we simulated its operation. The solar energy system has to be designed to ensure that the charging station always has enough electricity to supply several electric vehicles throughout all 24 h of the day. The main results were related to the energy, environmental, and economic performance achieved by the system during one year of operation.

Energy supply in remote areas (mainly in developing countries such as Colombia) has become a challenge. Hybrid microgrids are local and reliable sources of energy for these areas where access to the power grid is generally limited or unavailable. These systems generally include a diesel generator, solar modules, wind turbines, and storage devices such as batteries. Battery life estimation is an essential factor in the optimization of a hybrid microgrid since it determines the system’s final costs, including future battery replacements. This article presents a comparison of different technologies and battery models in a hybrid microgrid. The optimization is achieved using the iHOGA software, based on data from a real microgrid in Colombia. The simulation results allowed the comparison of prediction models for lifespan calculation for both lead–acid and lithium batteries in a hybrid microgrid, showing that the most accurate models are more realistic in predicting battery life by closely estimating real lifespans that are shorter, unlike other simplified methods that obtain much longer and unrealistic lifetimes.

In this paper is analyzed a stand-alone solar-wind hybrid system with energy storage in batteries installed on a farm in Romania. Because, after following the system operation, was discovered that the energy demand is not fully covered, two solutions were proposed. The optimization of the system was performed using iHoga, which is a simulation and optimization software based on genetic algorithms. A series of simulations have been conducted, with different configurations of the system, finally obtaining two optimal solutions for the hybrid system. The first solution proposes to increase the number of photovoltaic panels by 10 panels of the same type - System A, and the second solution proposes the installation of a generator - System B. Analyzing the two solutions was noted that in case of the System A, even if the initial investment is higher and produces a lot of excess energy, the total cost over the lifetime of the system is lower then in case of System B. Also, by comparing the two solutions, can be observed a high increase of carbon dioxide emissions in case of System B.

To help stakeholders plan, research, and develop Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (HRES), the elaboration of numerous modelling techniques and software simulation tools has been reported. The thorough analysis of these undoubtedly complex systems is strongly correlated with the efficient utilisation of the potential of renewable energy and the meticulous development of pertinent designs. In this context, various optimisation constraints/targets have also been utilised. This specific work initially carries out a thorough review of the modelling techniques and simulation software developed in an attempt to define a commonly accepted categorisation methodology for the various existing HRES simulation methods. Moreover, the widely utilised optimisation targets are analysed in detail. Finally, it identifies the sensitivity of two commercial software tools (HOMER Pro and iHOGA) by examining nine case studies based on different wind and solar potential combinations. The results obtained by the two commercial tools are compared with the ESA Microgrid Simulator, a software developed by the Soft Energy Applications and Environmental Protection Laboratory of the Mechanical Engineering Department of the University of West Attica. The evaluation of the results, based on the diversification of the renewable energy potential used as input, has led to an in-depth assessment of the deviances detected in the software tools selected.

In this work, the optimization of an off-grid micro-hybrid system is evaluated. This is conducted with the estimation of the proper sizing of each element and the steady-state voltage, frequency, and power responses of the microgrid. Kangaroo Island in South Australia is considered to be the test case location and the grid incorporates solar PV (photo-voltaic), diesel generator, battery storage, and wind turbine. Optimal sizing of the studied microgrid is carried out for four various power dispatch techniques: (i) cycle charging (CC), (ii) generator order (GO), (iii) load following (LF), and (iv) combined dispatch (CD). The proposed off-grid micro-hybrid is optimized for three performance indices; minimal Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), CO2 emission, and Net Present Cost (NPC). Using iHOGA (improved hybrid optimization by genetic algorithm), microgrid optimization software, all the above-mentioned dispatch strategies have been implemented and following this, MATLAB/Simulink platform has been used for the steady-state studies. The results show that the LF strategy is the utmost optimum dispatch technique in terms of the studied performance indices i.e. considering the optimal size and voltage and frequency responses. The results obtained from these studies provide a pathway for the estimation of the resource-generation-load combination for the islanded off-grid microgrid for its optimal operation with the various dispatch strategies.

Coating defects are caused by a series of factors such as the improper operation of workers and the quality of the coating itself. At present, the coating process of all shipyards is inspected and recorded at a specific time after construction, which cannot prevent and control defects scientifically. As a result, coating quality decreases, and production costs increase. Therefore, this paper proposes a knowledge acquisition method based on a rough set (RS) optimized by an improved hybrid quantum genetic algorithm (IHQGA) to guide the ship-coating construction process. Firstly, the probability amplitude is determined according to the individual position of the population, and the adaptive value k is proposed to determine the rotation angle of the quantum gate. On this basis, the simulated annealing algorithm is combined to enhance the local search ability of the algorithm. Finally, the algorithm is applied to rough set attribute reduction to improve the efficiency and accuracy of rough set attribute reduction. The data of 600 painted examples of 210-KBC bulk carriers from a shipyard between 2015 and 2020 are randomly selected to test the knowledge acquisition method proposed in the paper and other knowledge acquisition methods. The results show that the IHQGA attribute approximate reduction algorithm proposed in this paper is the first to reach the optimal adaptation degree of 0.847, the average adaptation degree is better than other algorithms, and the average consumption time is about 10% less than different algorithms, so the IHQGA has more vital and more efficient seeking ability. The knowledge acquisition result based on the IHQGA optimization rough set has 20–50% fewer rules and 5–10% higher accuracy than other methods, and the industry experts have high recognition. The knowledge acquisition method of this paper is validated on a hull segment. The obtained results are consistent with the expert diagnosis results, indicating that the method proposed in this paper has certain practicability.

Background. Incisional hernias (IHs) can develop in up to 15% of patients who underwent an abdominal surgical procedure. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) is the best examination to evaluate these patients before surgical repair. The aim of this study is to assess the usefulness of the abdominal CT scan during Valsalva’s maneuver in patients who are candidates for surgery. Methods. A retrospective cohort analysis conducted on prospectively recorded data was performed on 26 consecutive patients affected by IHs who underwent a preoperative abdominal CT scan both at rest and during Valsalva’s maneuver between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2016. Results. Five patients (19%) had IH classified as M1-M2, 10 (39%) as M3, and 11 (42%) as M4-M5. Both the median IH orifice area (IHOA) and the median volume of the IH increased during straining ( P = .001 and P < .001, respectively). The percentage of the difference in volume ratios increased as the localization of the IH moved caudally. At the binary logistic regression analysis M3 IH, body mass index >28, IHOA > 156 cm2 at rest, and IHOA > 138 cm2 during Valsalva’s maneuver were risk factors for posterior component separation. Conclusions. The preoperative CT scan both at rest and during Valsalva’s maneuver seemed useful to estimate the risk of difficult IH repairs. Moreover, it could allow surgeons to decide if the patient should be addressed to more specialized centers.

The poetry of Bohdan Ihor Antonych (1909–1937), a Ukrainian writer born in Lemkivshchyna near Gorlice, attracted Kazimierz Andrzej Jaworski’s attention with its fairy-tale qualities, a feeling of unreality and idealization of the world. From three collections of poems, Welcome to Life (1931), Three Rings (1934) and Book of the Lion (1936), varying in terms of their subject matter, the translator from Lublin chose works which reveal youthful joy of life and optimism Lemkivshchyna endowed their author with. Jaworski devoted most attention to the poems from The Green Gospel collection (1938), reflecting the essence of Antonych’s poetry, in which nature becomes religion. Jaworski was inclined to select works which were close to his own poems, e.g. from The Tatras and I cycle and the collection On a Granite Mast (1920). In the Polish version of Antonych’s poems, the translator’s interference is clearly noticeable. Jaworski does not fully rely on the original; he often introduces certain transformations within lines or stanzas as well as additions and semantic equivalents which are far from the Ukrainian version. This could result from his personal observations on nature, which he admired. It could also be caused by the difficulties of translation ensuing from linguistic complexities, as Antonych had the remarkable ability to represent complex images in a few lines. He achieved it through an appropriate choice of words and metaphorical constructions, which often prove to be challenging for the translator. Kazimierz Andrzej Jaworski was one of the first Polish translators who faced this task. As early as in the 1930s, he familiarized Polish readers with a few poems of the Lemko poet who lived and wrote in the period when Polish-Ukrainian coexistence within the borders of one country was being shaped.

In order to study the influence of the action of coupling earthquake to sliding base-isolation structure and improve its effect of vibration reduction by means of optimizing its major parameters. The theory of sliding base-isolation structure under the action of coupling earthquake is studied. A dynamic differential equation is developed. Seismic response analysis of 6-storey sliding base-isolation structure is processed, the results by exemplification show that the peak values of relative acceleration, relative displacement and inter-storey shear force of sliding base-isolation structure increase in different degree under the action of coupling earthquake. The increments increase with the action of earthquake in vertical direction increasing. In view of that SGA has such frequent shortcomings as premature convergence, oscillation and over-randomization in iterative process, a new genetic operator named transgenic operator had been developed for the purpose of improving SGA. Moreover, FBSA is proposed and combined with IGA. The parameters optimization model for the sliding base-isolation structure is set up. The various earthquake responses of sliding base-isolation structure get better control after it is optimized with IHGA. The results by exemplification show that IHGA is an efficient optimal method for parameters and layout optimization of sliding base-isolation structure.

Ilhota foi colonizada por imigrantes belgas por volta de 1841 somente em 21 de junho de 1958, Ilhota deixou de ser distrito de Itajaí e passou a ser município, conforme a Lei 348. O objetivo é quantificar de crescimento urbano no município de Ilhota, através de técnicas de geoprocessamento. Para esta quantificação, foram obtidas duas imagens na plataforma Earth Explorer da UCGS dos satélites Landsat-5, uma datada do ano de 1999, e a outra Landsat-8, datada em 2019. O processamento das imagens selecionadas foi efetuado no software Qgis, bandas multiespectrais naturais simuladas, nas combinações R5, G4 e B3 para a imagem de 1999 e R6, G5 e B4 para a imagem de 2019. A classificação do uso e ocupação do solo foi por meio do complemento Dzetsaka Plugin, em cinco classes: vegetação arbórea, vegetação rasteira, solo exposto, urbanização e água. Ao analisar o uso e ocupação dos solos na área de estudo, observou-se que no ano de 1999, 83,57% da área estava coberta por vegetação arbórea e rasteira, decorrido 20 anos, 2019, a mesma cobertura passa a ocupar 73,35%, significando a degradação do bioma Mata Atlântica, na qual se enquadra o município de Ilhota.

Abstract Aiming at the golf tournament technical requirements in International Humanoid robot Olympic Game (IHOG), two-freedom-degrees “head & eye” system based on monocular vision robot MF-AI is developed. The new robot equipped with the “head & eye” system can identify the location of the golf ball and the hole, and can measure the distance of the two objects. Experiments show that the two-freedom-degrees “head & eye” system improves the accuracy of hitting the golf ball into the hole. Moreover, the system can identify the target, can calibrate distances, can measure robot’s moving and look for the hole, can adjust the position of the robot and hit the ball effectively.

A fast pedestrian recognition algorithm based on multisensor fusion is presented in this paper. Firstly, potential pedestrian locations are estimated by laser radar scanning in the world coordinates, and then their corresponding candidate regions in the image are located by camera calibration and the perspective mapping model. For avoiding time consuming in the training and recognition process caused by large numbers of feature vector dimensions, region of interest-based integral histograms of oriented gradients (ROI-IHOG) feature extraction method is proposed later. A support vector machine (SVM) classifier is trained by a novel pedestrian sample dataset which adapt to the urban road environment for online recognition. Finally, we test the validity of the proposed approach with several video sequences from realistic urban road scenarios. Reliable and timewise performances are shown based on our multisensor fusing method.

In order to reduce the cost of soil nail supporting to deep foundation pits and ensure safety as well as stability, a model is established to optimize the design parameters for soil nail wall. This paper is concerned with the analysis of soil nail channel number, diameter, length, horizontal spacing, vertical spacing and dip angle. For parameter optimization design of soil nail wall is a complex problem, the traditional method is easy to fall into local optima. The genetic algorithm is a global optimization method. To some extent it has the drawback of appearing premature convergence and oscillation so as to slow iterative process. Therefore, a forward and backward search algorithm is proposed, which is combined with genetic algorithm. Furthermore some improvement measures are put forward by means of improved hybrid genetic algorithm. As a result engineering studies arrive at an optimum design. It shows that the optimized design results of IHGA not only ensure the stability of foundation, but greatly reduce the cost of engineering materials.

Hedgehog (Hh) signaling patterns embryonic tissues and contributes to homeostasis in adults. In Drosophila, Hh transport and signaling are thought to occur along a specialized class of actin-rich filopodia, termed cytonemes. Here, we report that Interference hedgehog (Ihog) not only forms a Hh receptor complex with Patched to mediate intracellular signaling, but Ihog also engages in trans-homophilic binding leading to cytoneme stabilization in a manner independent of its role as the Hh receptor. Both functions of Ihog (trans-homophilic binding for cytoneme stabilization and Hh binding for ligand sensing) involve a heparin-binding site on the first fibronectin repeat of the extracellular domain. Thus, the Ihog-Ihog interaction and the Hh-Ihog interaction cannot occur simultaneously for a single Ihog molecule. By combining experimental data and mathematical modeling, we determined that Hh-Ihog heterophilic interaction dominates and Hh can disrupt and displace Ihog molecules involved in trans-homophilic binding. Consequently, we proposed that the weaker Ihog-Ihog trans interaction promotes and stabilizes direct membrane contacts along cytonemes and that, as the cytoneme encounters secreted Hh ligands, the ligands trigger release of Ihog from trans Ihog-Ihog complex enabling transport or internalization of the Hh ligand-Ihog-Patched -receptor complex. Thus, the seemingly incompatible functions of Ihog in homophilic adhesion and ligand binding cooperate to assist Hh transport and reception along the cytonemes.

The conserved family of Hedgehog (Hh) signaling proteins plays a key role in cell–cell communication in development, tissue repair, and cancer progression, inducing distinct concentration-dependent responses in target cells located at short and long distances. One simple mechanism for long distance dispersal of the lipid modified Hh is the direct contact between cell membranes through filopodia-like structures known as cytonemes. Here we have analyzed in Drosophila the interaction between the glypicans Dally and Dally-like protein, necessary for Hh signaling, and the adhesion molecules and Hh coreceptors Ihog and Boi. We describe that glypicans are required to maintain the levels of Ihog, but not of Boi. We also show that the overexpression of Ihog, but not of Boi, regulates cytoneme dynamics through their interaction with glypicans, the Ihog fibronectin III domains being essential for this interaction. Our data suggest that the regulation of glypicans over Hh signaling is specifically given by their interaction with Ihog in cytonemes. Contrary to previous data, we also show that there is no redundancy of Ihog and Boi functions in Hh gradient formation, being Ihog, but not of Boi, essential for the long-range gradient.

Aiming at the problems of basic genetic algorithm in the field of path planning to system resilience recovery such as excessive randomness of initial population, slow convergence, low efficiency of evolution operator, and poor population diversity, this paper uses quotient model to measure resilience, uses overall task importance to measure system performance, and proposes an improved genetic algorithm on initial population and evolutionary operation. Improved genetic algorithm (IHGA) proposes a new greedy model that considers system node tasks importance, travel time, and maintenance time, which uses greedy ideas to generate partial high-quality initial population. And a new operator is also designed as intra-group head-to-head mutation operator (IHMO) to control the evolution to be more determinate and less ineffectively random. The simulation results in three cases show that the IHGA overcomes the defects and can better effectively recover system resilience with comparison to basic genetic algorithm (BGA) and multi-chromosome genetic algorithm (MCGA). Specially, it has obviously better optimal solution, convergence, and stability, especially in the harsh conditions as shorter repair time, more and unbalanced demands for spare parts, which shows the IHGA has great value to deal with measurement and control of system resilience recovery in practice.

AbstractDuring embryonic development, cell-cell communication is crucial to coordinate cell behavior, especially in the generation of differentiation patterns via morphogen gradients. Morphogens are signaling molecules secreted by a source of cells that elicit concentration-dependent responses in target cells. For several morphogens, cell-cell contact via filopodia-like-structures (cytonemes) has been proposed as a mechanism for their gradient formation. Despite of the advances on cytoneme signaling, little is known about how cytonemes navigate through the extracellular matrix and how they orient to find their target. For the Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway in Drosophila, Hh co-receptor and adhesion protein Interference hedgehog (Ihog) and the glypicans Dally and Dally-like-protein (Dlp) interact affecting the cytoneme behavior. Here, we describe that differences in the cytoneme stabilization and orientation depend on the relative levels of Ihog and glypicans, suggesting a mechanism for cytoneme guidance. Furthermore, we have developed a mathematical model to study and corroborate this cytoneme guiding mechanism.

ABSTRACT The Hedgehog (Hh) morphogen gradient is required for patterning during metazoan development, yet the mechanisms involved in Hh apical and basolateral release and how this influences short- and long-range target induction are poorly understood. We found that depletion of the GTPase Rab8 in Hh-producing cells induces an imbalance between the level of apically and laterally released Hh. This leads to non-cell-autonomous differential effects on the expression of Hh target genes, namely an increase in its short-range targets and a concomitant decrease in long-range targets. We further found that Rab8 regulates the endocytosis and apico-basal distribution of Ihog, a transmembrane protein known to bind to Hh and to be crucial for establishment of the Hh gradient. Our data provide new insights into morphogen gradient formation, whereby morphogen activity is functionally distributed between apically and basolaterally secreted pools.

Morphogens regulate tissue patterning through their distribution in concentration gradients. Emerging research establishes a role for specialized signalling filopodia, or cytonemes, in morphogen dispersion and signalling. Previously we demonstrated that Hedgehog (Hh) morphogen is transported via vesicles along cytonemes emanating from signal-producing cells to form a gradient in Drosophila epithelia. However, the mechanisms for signal reception and transfer are still undefined. Here, we demonstrate that cytonemes protruding from Hh-receiving cells contribute to Hh gradient formation. The canonical Hh receptor Patched is localized in these cellular protrusions and Hh reception takes place in membrane contact sites between Hh-sending and Hh-receiving cytonemes. These two sets of cytonemes have similar dynamics and both fall in two different dynamic behaviours. Furthermore, both the Hh co-receptor Interference hedgehog (Ihog) and the glypicans are critical for this cell-cell cytoneme mediated interaction. These findings suggest that the described contact sites might facilitate morphogen presentation and reception.

Abstract During attempts to synthesize new platinides in the ternary system Sr–Al–Pt, single crystals of SrAl5Pt3 and Sr2Al16Pt9 were obtained from a reaction of the elements with the nominal composition Sr4Al13Pt9. Both orthorhombic structures were refined based on single crystal x-ray diffraction data (SrAl5Pt3: Pnma, Wyckoff sequence c 9, a = 2065.04(7), b = 413.74(1), c = 738.98(3) pm, wR2 = 0.0310, 867 F 2 values, 56 variables; Sr2Al16Pt9: Immm, Wyckoff sequence l 4 j 2 ihga, a = 416.69(2), b = 1193.53(6), c = 1832.38(9) pm, wR2 = 0.0517, 671 F 2 values, 49 variables); full atomic ordering was observed in both cases. In order to analyze the bonding situation of these new platinides, quantum-chemical calculations were conducted. According to density functional theory both compounds are polar intermetallics with high negative charges on the Pt atoms and covalently bonded [Al5Pt3]/[Al16Pt9] networks showing strong Pt–Al alongside of weak Al–Al and Pt–Pt bonding.

Uvod. Nedijagnostikovana hiperglikemija je česta kod bolesnika sa koronarnombolešću, koja je vodeći uzrok smrtnosti kod oboljelih od tipa 2 dijabetesa(T2DM). Nedovoljno je poznata povezanost blažih hiperglikemijskih stanja,kao što je predijabetes sa koronarnom bolešću. Cilj ove studije bio je uporeditikardiometabolički profil rizika i koronarne lezije kod bolesnika sa različitimporemećajima tolerancije na glukozu podvrgnutih koronarnoj angiografiji.Metode. Kod 106 bolesnika sa angiografski dijagnostikovanom koronarnombolešću, evaluiran je glikemijski status pomoću testa oralnog opterećenja glukozom(OGTT) na osnovu kojeg su klasifikovani u grupe sa normoglikemijom(NGT), predijabetesom (IGF/IGT) i dijabetesom tipa 2 (T2DM). Kod svih jeurađeno mjerenje tjelesne težine (TT), obima struka (OS), izračunat indekstjelesne mase (BMI), određeni lipidi, indeks insulinske rezistencije HOMA,insulin, hsCRP, albumin u urinu, broj signifikantnih koronarnih lezija (stenoza> 50%).Rezultati. Od 106 ispitanih bolesnika sa koronarnom bolešću 32,1% imaloje novootkriveni T2DM, 35,8% predijabetes i 32,1% normalnu tolerancijuglukoze. Nije bilo razlika između tri grupe koronarnih bolesnika u odnosuna pol, pušački status, tjelesnu masu, prisustvo hipertenzije i hereditet koronarnebolesti. Pacijenti sa T2DM u odnosu na pacijente sa normoglikemijomsu bili stariji (p = 0,036), imali veći obim struka (p = 0,028), BMI (p = 0,045) iHOMA-IR (p = 0,001). Vrijednosti ukupnog holesterola, LDL, HDL i triglicerida,hsCRP, albuminurije se nisu razlikovale između grupa. Nije nađenarazlika u učestalosti jednosudovne, dvosudovne, tro i više sudovne bolesti.Zaključak. Nađena je visoka učestalost dijabetesa i predijabetesa u populacijipacijenata sa stabilnom hroničnom koronarnom bolešću. Nađena je povezanostgojaznosti, naročito centralne, starosti i insulinske rezistencije sa T2DM, štopotvrđuje ulogu ovih faktora u nastanku bolesti.
