Introduction: A marketing strategy in the physical grocery stores is sensory marketing, but for now there is a knowledge gap applicable to the strategy used online. The purpose of the study is to get a deeper understanding of how Swedish grocery companies are working with sensory marketing in e-commerce and how this marketing strategy affects the customers' whole experience. Theory: Digitalization has led to e-commerce becoming very important. It is therefore of great importance for companies to generate a positive customer experience, which assumes to understand the customers behavior. To use sensory marketing and stimulate the humans five senses creates possibilities to satisfy all customers. Method: To gather theoretical and empirical data to this qualitative study several different methods were used in combination. Semi- structured interviews with respondents from ICA and Coop have for example been combined with “think aloud” to be able to bring the customer's perspective. Empirical investigation: The respondents from ICA and Coop want their e-commerce investigation to be easy to navigate. However, customers do not perceive it as easily. Furthermore, the senses were experienced in different ways. Analysis: ICA and Coop work with the sight. Both the theory and the customers that participated in the study confirms that the sight sense is the first that is noticed. The companies work more with the taste than the touch, while the customers are stimulated more by the touch than the taste. They both had the same perception about the scent. The hearing is not a crucial factor in a purchase decision. Conclusion: The companies work mostly with the sight with carefully chosen pictures and recipes. The receiving of the delivery was important for the holistic experience, but the difficulties of navigation on the e-commerce did not affect them that much. It is finally the senses in combination with each other that formed the experience for the customer.

is thesis examines how the sense of touch can function as a method and a guide for meaning and expression in the designprocess. By studying selected theories that deal with topics such as the sensous system, color perception and form, I seek answers to how com- munication through materiality, color and expression of the body can shape my process and survey as a starting point in designing furniture. Furniture that engage a conversation about the e ect sensual so shapes has for our sense of embrace and relaxation. In this work I translate my theroretical research into my practical process and design, where I engage directly in the materials as a method for shaping my object. e goal is to activate my senses in the process, in order to eventually enrich someone else’s sensory ex- perience. It’s about thinking, feeling, doing, all at once. e study can be used in a discus- sion about the importance of the engagement of the senses and the power of intention in design. I argue that these aspects are important for an emotionally touching result.

Purpose – The increasing usage of Internet has led to a variety of guidelines on how to utilise and assess the human factor in the best way for internet usage, however, disregarding research in the field. Furthermore, graphic profiles have in a way been cemented in a pre- internet world, which has led to a situation where many organisations have missed the opportunity to attract a lot of target groups, by raising the graphic profile and building mutually advantageous and interactive relations. With this as a background, the aim of this study is to elevate the awareness of how graphic profiling may emit humanity in a digital world. Therefore, the purpose of this study is: To increase the knowledge about how graphic profiles can radiate humanity in the digital world. In order to find the purpose of this study, the purpose has been broken down to a research question that goes: How are human emotions portrayed in graphic profiles exposed in the digital world? Method – To be able to answer this question three methods have been used, namely a review of relevant literature in the field, a survey and group interviews in the form of focus groups. The methods used include quantitative as well as qualitative data as well as primary and secondary studies. The literature review aimed at collecting facts in the field to serve the research undertaken to this date. The survey comprised of a comparison of fonts to be able to identify the emotions these fonts emitted. The interviews with the focus groups were a way of investigating the different participants emotions faced with five different graphic profiles and the elements they contained. Findings – The empirical data and the literature review resulted in a variety of data describing human reactions and emotions towards graphic profiles. These data was then used to prepare a model that comprised concrete information when trying to incorporate a human emotion within a graphic profile. This model include aspects and guidelines for photography, icons, colours, typography and tone of voice on how to interact with people in a better way in this new digital world. For example, photographs should be simple, dynamic and rich in contrasts where existing light is desirable. The results of this study are considered being useful for advertising agencies in their work with digital graphic profiles that covet a human touch. The results are hopefully also useful for digitalizing brands generally, where a human touch is desirable. Limitations – Within the focus groups there was a notable difficulty in creating discussions regarding perceived emotions for each of the elements, which resulted in a discussion upon the graphic profiles generally. Furthermore, the focus groups could only meet once and discuss, due to lack of time. Hence, impact from the interviewer and the context of situation may have influenced the results. Since colours – as anthropology has shown – are perceived in different ways in different cultures, this study is confined to a Swedish perspective.

Bakgrund Det finns vetenskaplig evidens för att körsång har en positiv inverkan på hälsan, både fysiskt och psykiskt. Körsång kan bland annat påverka andningsmönster, hjärnfunktion, kommunikationsförmåga, välbefinnande och livskvalitet. Enligt Antonovskys teori om känsla av sammanhang (KASAM) ökar hälsan genom graden av begriplighet, hanterbarhet och meningsfullhet. Syfte Syftet var att sammanställa kunskap om körsång kan vara en icke-farmakologisk omvårdnadsåtgärd för patienter vilka uppsökte hälso- och sjukvården inom öppenvård eller bodde på ett omvårdnadsboende, samt om körsång kunde vara en påverkande faktor för patientgruppens känsla av sammanhang. Metod Systematisk litteraturstudie baserad på tio vetenskapliga originalartiklar publicerade mellan 2006 och 2017. Artikelsökning skedde i databaserna ASSIA, CINAHL, PsychINFO och PubMed. Granskning av originalartiklar genomfördes enligt kvalitetsgranskningsmallar. Resultat En majoritet av de granskade studierna påvisade att körsång kunde vara en icke-farmakologisk omvårdnadsåtgärd då interventionerna förbättrade deltagarnas hantering av deras hälsoproblematik. Även känsla av sammanhang ökade hos deltagarna. Ett generaliserbart resultat gick inte att säkerställa då deltagarantalet i de flesta studier inte var tillräckligt stort, i vissa fall på grund av bortfall. Slutsats Körsång kan genom ökad känsla av sammanhang vara ett verktyg för patienter att hantera sin hälsoproblematik. För att stärka graden av hälsa och höja livskvaliteten i samhället bör körsång tillämpas som en utav flera icke-farmakologiska omvårdnadsåtgärder.

Today, there is an increased need for a digital place where students can participate in courses and acquire knowledge. One type of such a digital place are learning platforms and an example of one such platform is Learning Management Systems (LMS). Technology has a significant role in students’ lives, and because of this they also expect this technology to work well. In the context of education, motivation is regarded as one of the most important factors for students to be successful and a feeling of competence is part of what needs to be achieved. A feeling of competence is about having a person feel good, knowledgeable or skilled at something and experiencing a feeling about their own potential. If the feeling of competence decreases, a student can lose their motivation and thereby give up on their studies. A design technique that can be used to foster a feeling of competence, that is part of intrinsic motivation, is gamification. However, using gamified elements which are competitive has not only resulted in positive results. Research in gamification has resulted in mixed results on how well the design technique works to foster a feeling of competence. Previous research on gamification has disregarded how competence and intrinsic motivation influence a student's performance. Previous research has studied whether gamification works instead of studying how gamification can work in a study context. Therefore, this study intends to investigate how gamification can be implemented in digital learning platforms to foster a sense of competence among students. The question was examined with a design-oriented approach where game elements were designed into a prototype of an LMS platform. Evaluation of the prototype made it possible to develop four design proposals of how gamification can be used to foster students' sense of competence in an LMS platform.

The aim of this qualitative study was to examine the emotional and relational experiences of casual sex relationships (CSR) among women in emerging adulthood. Furthermore, the purpose of this study was to examine expectations within CSR, how the participants cope with their experiences and which factors that affect the emotional experience. Six semi-structured interviews were conducted and analyzed according to Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) as a method. The analysis resulted in three main themes: Expectations in and characteristics of CSR, The individual´s approach to and influence of CSR and The primary factors affecting the emotional experience. The results showed that there generally is an expectation of CSR to be an emotionless kind of relationship. The relationship is characterized by a high degree of uncertainty and ambiguity as well as freedom. Different strategies used by the participants to cope with these expectations and characteristics emerged. The participants also described approaches which are believed to be a result of the prevailing gender norms, such as an ambivalence between different expectations and a tendency to take a large social- and emotional responsibility. Lastly, the primary factors affecting the participant´s emotional experience of CSR were described in terms of a congruence between want and get, awareness of ones own experiences, authentic relating and respect for boundaries.
