The purpose of this study was to examine the backgrounds and experiences of middle school mathematics teachers that often distinguish "quality" teachers, including certification, experience, degree type, and degree level and how those demographics and others vary for different types of schools. The emphasis was on profiling teachers in a large urban district by describing their basic features and distributions, as well as how middle school mathematics teachers, according to those differences, relate to student mathematics achievement, teacher attrition and teacher mobility. Student achievement was measured by test results from the Norm Reference Test-Normal Curve Equivalent (NRT-NCE) mathematics portion of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) for two school years (2003-04 and 2004-05). A variety of analytic approaches and methods were used to examine how different teacher characteristics relate to teacher employment patterns and student achievement, including chi-square, Kruskal-Wallace, Mann-Whitney U, ANOVA, and t tests, together with simple descriptives and graphical analysis. Standard multiple regression was used to evaluate whether students' previous test scores and teacher- and school-level predictors could affect the results of students' mathematics achievement. A short survey was administered, which provided some insight to ascertain whether and why teachers choose among schools when seeking employment. A total of 282 teachers and 24,766 students were included for the final analysis. This research revealed high rates of teacher turnover and deficient numbers of well qualified mathematics teachers for this particular demographic. For example, one in three middle school mathematics teachers was in their first year, and over half (55%) had less than three years seniority. It was also apparent that, because of a shortage of well-qualified mathematics teachers, many new teachers were being hired out-of-field--of those first-year teachers, only about half had certification in their content area and most (67%) did not have a degree in mathematics or mathematics education. Middle schools in this district had lost 29% of the mathematics teacher workforce employed the previous year due to mathematics teacher attrition. Of those many resigned, some came back to teach another subject at the same or different middle school, and others transferred to high schools. An additional 5% transferred to other middle schools within the same district bringing the total turnover to 34%. Findings revealed no significant differences in turnover rates in high-poverty versus low-poverty schools, but there were significant differences in the proportions of movers, leavers, and stayers in schools according to whether or not a school was achieving high-standards in mathematics. Although inequities did exist in favor of schools with less at-risk students, in this district--for the most part--teachers were fairly distributed according to the "quality" of their backgrounds and experiences. The only significant gap was in that students in wealthier schools were more likely to have a mathematics teacher with a higher degree. This study also offers results that further understanding on the debate about which attributes of teachers are most likely to translate into effective-classroom performance. When analysis was performed at the student level, the findings revealed that students of middle school mathematics teachers with higher seniority, advanced degrees, or certification in the content area that they taught, performed significantly higher than students in other classrooms. Yet the magnitude of those differences was either modest or very small. When controlling for students' socio-economics status at the classroom level, differences were not significant for seniority or advanced degrees but the results were significant for certification.

In the classic Rothschild and Stiglitz (1976) model of insurance under adverse selection, it is assumed that insurance consumers are fully informed of their exact probability type, and the insurers are uninformed of the probability of accident of consumers. While it is certainly intuitive that insurance consumers should be better informed of their probability type, it is perhaps too much to assume that they are perfectly informed. In the present paper, we extend the RS model to incorporate asymmetry of information in favour of the insurance consumers over insurers, and also insurance consumers that are only partially informed of their exact type. We allow for an inter-temporal setting, in which insurance contracts maybe renewed for many periods, and in that case, information on probability types is revealed over time via Bayes' rule. Aside from other interesting results, we consider if how information gathering affects the efficiency of the model.

The main objective of this research is to see whether the false position method, used to solve some problems Rhind Papyrus, can be an alternative for solving problems that involve the 1st degree equations with one unknown for students from the 7th grade of elementary school. The Egyptians used this method and this is a way to find the solution of the problem by requiring an initial value, considered the false position, which should be adjusted immediately to obtain the correct value. As we noted not rare that this strategy is adopted by students nowadays, we believe this is a plausible alternative to the teaching content. To check the effectiveness of the method, We conducted a case study ? adopting a qualitative approach to analyze the data collected in search ? with a group of the 7th grade in a municipal school in Rio de Janeiro. We propose a sequence of three activities, applied in a single meeting, where after the resolution of problems by students, we began a discussion of what strategies adopted. After the resolution of the first activity, a problem taken from the Rhind Papyrus, during the period for the discussion of the problem, we show how the Egyptians resolved. We can see that a considerable amount of them identified with the method, by the way they decided later activities.
O principal objetivo desta pesquisa ? verificar se o m?todo da falsa posi??o, utilizado para resolver alguns problemas do Papiro de Rhind, pode ser uma alternativa para resolu??o de problemas que envolvem equa??es do 1? grau com uma inc?gnita para alunos do 7? ano do ensino fundamental. Esse m?todo era utilizado pelos eg?pcios e trata-se de um caminho para encontrar a solu??o do problema atrav?s da estipula??o de um valor inicial, considerado a falsa posi??o, que dever? ser ajustado imediatamente ap?s para se obter o valor correto. Como observamos n?o ser raro que essa estrat?gia seja adotada pelos discentes nos dias atuais, acreditamos ser essa uma alternativa plaus?vel para o ensino do conte?do. Para verificar a efic?cia do m?todo, realizamos um estudo de caso ? adotando uma abordagem qualitativa para analisar os dados recolhidos na pesquisa ? com uma turma do 7? ano em uma escola da rede municipal do Rio de Janeiro. Une coloration des sommets de G s'appelle une b-coloration si chaque classe de couleur contient au moins un sommet qui a un voisin dans toutes les autres classes de couleur. Le nombre b-chromatique b(G) de G est le plus grand entier k pour lequel G a une b-coloration avec k couleurs. Ces notions ont été introduites par Irving et Manlove en 1999. Elles permettent d'évaluer les performances de certains algorithmes de coloration. Irving et Manlove ont montré que le calcul du nombre b-chromatique d'un graphe est un problème NP-difficile et qu'il peut être résolu en temps polynomial pour les arbres. Une question qui se pose naturellement est donc d'enquêter sur les graphes qui ont une structure proche des arbres : cactus, graphes triangulés, graphes série-parallèles, "block" graphes, etc. Dans cette thèse, nous généralisons le résultat d'Irving et Manlove pour les cactus dont le "m-degré" est au moins 7 et pour les graphes planaires extérieurs dont la maille est au moins 8. (Le m-degré m(G) est le plus grand entier d tel que G a au moins d sommets de degré au moins d −1. ) Nous démontrons un résultat semblable pour le produit cartésien d'un arbre par une chaîne, un cycle ou une étoile. Pour ce qui concerne les graphes dont les blocs sont des cliques, nous montrons que le problème avec un nombre de couleurs fixé peut être résolu en temps polynomial et nous présentons des cas où le problème de décision peut être résolu. The present study aims to check whether the use of activities mediated by the History of Mathematics can contribute to improve the understanding of resolution the 2nd degree equation for teachers and undergraduates that reproduce methods of solving such equations, uncritically, without domain of the justifications for their actions. Combinatorial optimization problems have the goal of maximize or minimize functions defined over a finite domain. Metaheuristics are methods designed to find good solutions in this finite domain, sometimes the optimum solution, using a subordinated heuristic, which is modeled for each particular problem. This work presents algorithms based on particle swarm optimization (metaheuristic) applied to combinatorial optimization problems: the Traveling Salesman Problem and the Multicriteria Degree Constrained Minimum Spanning Tree Problem. The first problem optimizes only one objective, while the other problem deals with many objectives. In order to evaluate the performance of the algorithms proposed, they are compared, in terms of the quality of the solutions found, to other approaches

Due to its physico-chemical and biological properties, related to the abundance and low cost of raw material, chitosan has been recognized as a material of wide application in various fields, such as in drug delivery systems. Many of these properties are associated with the presence of amino groups in its polymer chain. A proper determination of these amino groups is very important, in order to properly specify if a given chitosan sample can be used in a particular application. Thus, in this work, initially, a comparison between the determination of the deacetylation degree by conductometry and elemental analysis was carried out using a detailed analysis of error propagation. It was shown that the conductometric analysis resulted in a simple and safe method for the determining the degree of deacetylation of chitosan. Subsequently, experiments were performed to monitor and characterize the adsorption of tetracycline on chitosan particles through kinetic and equilibrium studies. The main models of kinetics and adsorption isotherms, widely used to describe the adsorption on wastewater treatment systems and the drug loading, were used to treat the experimental data. Firstly, it was shown that an apparent linear t/q(t) ? t relationship did not imply in a pseudo-second-order adsorption kinetics, differently of what has been repeatedly reported in the literature. It was found that this misinterpretation can be avoided by using non-linear regression. Finally, the adsorption of tetracycline on chitosan particles was analyzed using insights obtained from theoretical analysis, and the parameters generated were used to analyze the kinetics of adsorption, the isotherm of adsorption and to ropose a mechanism of adsorption
Devido ?s suas propriedades f?sico-qu?micas e biol?gicas, associadas ? abund?ncia e ao baixo custo da mat?ria-prima, a quitosana tem sido considerada um material de ampla aplica??o em diversos campos, tais como em sistemas de libera??o de f?rmacos. Muitas dessas propriedades est?o associadas ? presen?a de grupos amino em sua cadeia polim?rica. Uma determina??o apropriada desses grupos amino ? muito importante, com o objetivo de especificar adequadamente se uma dada amostra de quitosana pode ser usada em uma particular aplica??o. Dessa forma, neste trabalho, inicialmente, foi realizada uma compara??o entre a determina??o do grau m?dio de desacetila??o atrav?s de an?lises condutim?trica e elementar usando uma minuciosa an?lise de propaga??o erro. Foi mostrado que a an?lise condutim?trica resultou em um m?todo simples e seguro para determina??o do grau m?dio de desacetila??o da quitosana. Posteriormente, foram realizados experimentos a fim de monitorar e caracterizar o processo de adsor??o de tetraciclina em part?culas de quitosana, atrav?s de estudos cin?ticos e de equil?brio. Os principais modelos cin?ticos e de isotermas de adsor??o, amplamente usados para descrever a adsor??o em sistemas de tratamento de efluentes e de incorpora??o de f?rmacos, foram utilizados nos dados experimentais. Primeiramente, foi mostrado que uma aparente rela??o linear t/q(t) ? t n?o implica em um mecanismo de adsor??o de pseudo-segunda-ordem, diferentemente do que tem sido repetitivamente relatado na literatura. This dissertation it is based in research quali-quantitative which focused on graduates of Veterinary Medicine perception, course egress of Agricultural Science Graduation (ASG) of Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) who carried out the academic degree in the period of 2010.1 to 2013.2. The theoretical and empirical research identify the contributions of docent formation brought to academic and professional life in view of the influence of humanistic, pedagogical and environmental design a degree course in agrarian area should promote those who resort to this. Interested in this research to investigate the ASG course contributions to the veterinarian in order to understand the expectations and conceptions of licensed graduates on the teaching profession. The subjects were twenty-one licensed veterinarians and two coordinators. Our problem raised concerns about the training that the said course enabled the students of Agricultural Sciences, focusing on Veterinary Medical of UFRPE. Data collection was carried out in four stages: bibliographical survey of theorists who elaborates on the theme; documentary consulting the files of graduates; consultation with the Political Pedagogical Project ASG and resolutions UFRPE with application of questionnaires to thirty-four semi-structured interviews with graduates and three subjects surveyed. These tools made it possible to quantify and identify the profile of graduates, seizing their perception of the current proposal with the triangulation of the looks of the students as respondents, the coordinators as informants and the researcher. The research allowed important contributions and intentions were identified in the proposal of the Pedagogic Political Project of the degree that guide to building a practice based on humanistic relations for the performance of these graduates in their various contexts
Esta disserta??o se fundamenta em uma pesquisa de abordagem quali-quantitativa que voltou-se para conhecer a vis?o dos graduados em Medicina Veterin?ria, egressos do Curso de Licenciatura em Ci?ncias Agr?colas - LCA, da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE), que realizaram a forma??o acad?mica na licenciatura no per?odo de 2010.1 a 2013.2. A coleta de dados foi realizada em quatro momentos: Levantamento bibliogr?fico dos te?ricos que discorre sobre a tem?tica, consulta documental aos dossi?s dos egressos, consulta ao Projeto Pol?tico Pedag?gico do LCA e resolu??es da UFRPE, aplica??o dos question?rios a trinta e quatro egressos, entrevistas semi-estruturada com tr?s sujeitos pesquisados. Esses instrumentos possibilitaram quantificar e identificar o perfil dos egressos, apreendendo sua percep??o em rela??o a proposta do curso com a triangula??o dos olhares dos discentes como respondentes, os coordenadores como informantes e o pesquisador. Miller, Jr.’s A Canticle for Leibowitz is a timeless story about apocalyptic cycles, conflicts and similarities between religion and science, religious ethics and secular ethics, sin and redemption, myth and preternatural innocence. Canticle is a very religious story about a monastery dedicated to preserving scientific knowledge from the time before nuclear war which devastated the world and reduced humanity to a pre-technological civilization. The Catholic Church and this monastery are portrayed as a bastion of civilization amidst barbarians and a light of faith amidst atheism. Unfortunately, humanity destroys the Earth once again, but Miller ends with two beacons of hope: a starship headed for the unknown to help humanity begin again and the preternaturally innocent Rachel who portends a future for similarly innocent human beings repopulating the Earth. Thus, faith ultimately triumphs over atheism even in the midst of almost total catastrophe.

Bezier surfaces of degree(m, 2) are relatively simple surfaces in computer aided geometric design (CAGD). It needs some information to construct a Bezier surface of degree(m, 2) such as control points. In this paper, we will present a new method about designing Bezier surfaces of degree(m, 2), which only needing some control points and three design parameters. We give the control points of boundary curves B, C, the control point d0, and the design parameters alpha, beta, gamma. Then we can use these information and the new method to design many Bezier surfaces of degree(m, 2).

In the case of rapid industry changes, university graduation is not employment advantage, the important goal of running higher education is turn into development of employability. In this study, those students were studied on 2009-2013 year in M university. Combine their UCAN’s professional function results and their graduate statistical information of graduating one and three years. Using employment path for classification. Do the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with professional function results to determine reliability and validity of employment path. This thesis studies the anisotropic properties of semipolar (11-22) GaN grown on m-sapphire substrate by the one-step and two-step growth processes. The anisotropic properties were investigated by photoluminescence (PL), atomic force microscopy (AFM), field-emission electron microscopy (FE-SEM), cathodoluminescence (CL), and Raman measurements. First, we study the semipolar (11-22) GaN grown on m-sapphire substrate by one-step growth with different buffer layers (AlN and GaN) and by complete two-step growth with GaN buffer layer. Better optical performance, smoother surface, and lower degree of polarization (DOP) were observed for samples with GaN buffer layer. The more suitable material of buffer layer for the growth of semipolar (11-22) GaN is GaN rather than AlN. The two-step growth can reduce defect density and improve sample quality. Second, we study the anisotropic properties of semipolar (11-22) GaN grown on m-sapphire substrate with different first-step growth thicknesses and complete two-step growth. It is shown that the larger the first-step growth thickness of semipolar (11-22) GaN, the better the sample quality. Better optical performance, smoother surface, and lower degree of polarization (DOP) were observed for samples by the two-step growth process. This shows that the two-step growth can reduce defect density and improve sample quality.

O sector não lucrativo assume cada vez maior importância nas economias dos diferentes países. A sua natureza de carácter social leva a uma procura cada vez maior dos serviços que as entidades deste sector colocam à disposição das populações. Neste conjunto de entidades incluem-se as federações desportivas, que assumem um papel determinante na integração e desenvolvimento social das populações, porquanto são promotoras da prática saudável das modalidades desportivas que representam. Estas entidades estão também sujeitas a regras na elaboração das suas contas e, pelo seu carácter social, devem primar pela excelência da informação divulgada, financeira, e sobretudo, não financeira. Neste sentido, torna-se importante que estas entidades adoptem regras de accountability, de forma a conferir aos seus relatórios anuais maior transparência, equidade, eficiência, responsabilidade e integridade. O presente estudo tem como objectivo avaliar se as federações desportivas portuguesas cumprem os pressupostos defendidos como boas práticas de accountability, nomeadamente através de divulgação, nos respectivos websites, de informação pertinente para os seus stakeholders. Para tal elaborou-se uma matriz de avaliação dos websites das 61 federações desportivas portuguesas detentoras do Estatuto de Utilidade Publica Desportiva, avalisada em diferentes dimensões de avaliação, em consonância com a revisão de literatura. Os resultados do estudo empírico apontam para um grau médio de conformidade global da divulgação da informação de carácter obrigatório e facultativo, muito maior no primeiro caso do que no segundo. A qualidade da divulgação da informação é maior na dimensão usabilidade, decrescendo significativamente quanto à interactividade, sendo quase inexistente no que respeita à acessibilidade. Constata-se ainda que o grau de conformidade da informação divulgada é moderadamente explicado pela existência de um gabinete de comunicação, factor que também explica, juntamente com o estatuto profissional e olímpico, a qualidade da divulgação da informação.
The non-profit sector assumes increasing relevance in different countries economies. Their social character leads to an increasing demand for services provided by these sector entities. The non-profit sector included the sport federations, which assume a decisive role in the integration and social development of the populations, promoting healthy transmission of sports they represent. These entities are also obliged to accomplish to specific requirements to prepare and relate their accounts and, as their social status, they shall highlight the quality of financial, and manly, non financial, information. Consequently, it is important that these entities adopt rules of accountability, in order to provide annual reports directed to greater transparency, equity, efficiency, accountability and integrity. The present study aims to assess whether the Portuguese sports federations comply with the assumptions considered as good practices of accountability, in particular through disseminating on their websites relevant information to their stakeholders. For this purpose, it was carried out an evaluation checklist of the Portuguese sports federation’s websites, holding 61 embracing the Statute of Public Utility, analyzed in different evaluation dimensions, according to the literature review. The empirical study findings point out to a medium degree of global compliance disclosure requirements relating compulsory and optional information, much higher in the first case than in the second. The quality of information disclosure is greater in usability dimension, decreasing significantly as to interactivity, being almost nonexistent regarding accessibility. It was also found that the degree of conformity related to information disclosed is explained by the existence of a communication Office, which also explains, along with professional and Olympic status, the quality of information disclosure.

This study aims to explore the development of the transnational dual degree (TDD) of higher education in Taiwan. The main objectives are to understand the motivation, the background, the process, the obstacles, the strategies and the final results of the emergence of TDD at private M university by using a case study approach. Semi-structured interview and document analysis are adopted as data collection methods for data collection. The main findings of the study are beneficial to the policy-makers, senior managers of the universities and scholars and researchers and listed as follows: 1.The motivation and background: TDD is a mode of international academic exchange and used as one of internationalization strategies, in order to cope with the globalization pressure and promote the competitiveness of higher education institutions. 2.The process: Senior managers at M university figure out the target countries in the world, and the administrator begin to make agreement on international academic exchange with foreign universities. It often begins relationship as sister schools, and extends the cooperation progressively, such as transnational dual degree program. 3.The obstacles and strategies: Major obstacles lie in the international cooperation, the higher education competition in Taiwan, the administrative procedure at the level of the department, faculty and the student. The responsive strategies include long-term planning, sound institutional basis accompanied by flexible and diverse operations. 4.The final result: The data reveals that the total participants are over 70 up to now. The M university has revised regulations, and curriculum framework consistently. Besides, the participants and the teachers show great agreement with the purpose of the TDD program, but still anticipate supporting measures to perfect the program.

China’s vocational education and training (VET) industry is undergoing rapid growth and transformation. Small private VET institutions face the dual dilemma of a shortage of educational resources and low market reputation. Thus, it is important to understand how these institutions may develop and sustain competitive advantages. This dissertation has analyzed the strategic development of ZK, a small private VET institution in China, using the dynamic capabilities framework. The company’s strategic success in the last years was due to its dynamic capabilities of sensing opportunities and threats, seizing opportunities, and managing threats and reconfiguring resources. The study has shown that ZK’s dynamic capability of sensing opportunities and threats has two micro-foundations, namely entrepreneurship and social capital at individual and organizational levels. Seizing capability were grounded on microfoundations such as the firm’s value chain positioning, integrating resources including complements, organizational flexibility, and commitment to implementation. The microfoundations of ZK’s dynamic capability of managing threats and reconfiguring resources were organizational learning and knowledge management. To support the future strategic development of ZK, four strategic initiatives were devised using the SWOT framework. The study contributes to management practice by increasing the understanding of the capabilities and microfoundations that can support the development of small private VET institutions in China. It also sheds light on the relationship between these capabilities and the obtention of competitive advantages in the Chinese market. Its conclusions are of interest to other VET institutions, government departments and other stakeholders, as well as foreign institutions interested in the Chinese VET industry.
A indústria chinesa da educação e formação vocacional (inglês: Vocational Education and Traning ou VET) está em plena expansão e transformação. O estudo das estratégias das pequenas instituições de VET tem grande importância, no sentido de compreender como as mesmas podem se manter competitivas. Esta dissertação tem o objetivo de analisar o desenvolvimento estratégico da ZK, uma pequena instituição chinesa de VET, através da teoria de capacidades dinámicas. O éxito estratégico da ZK deveu-se ao seu dinamismo em antever oportunidades e riscos e reestruturar os seus recursos. Este dinamismo resultou de um forte espírito empresarial e de um elevado capital social, tanto ao nível individual como institucional. O aproveitamento das oportunidades deveu-se a cinco micro-fundamentos: o posicionamento da empresa na cadeia de valor, a integração de recursos, a inclusão de complementos, a flexibilidade organizacional e a dedicação na implementação. Por sua vez, a capacidade de minimizar riscos e reconfigurar recursos resultou de aprendizagem organizacional e de uma boa gestão da informação. Com base nas referidas capacidades dinâmicas, e através da matriz SWOT, foram desenvolvidas quatro linhas estratégicas para o desenvolvimento futuro da ZK. A dissertação contribui para uma melhor compreensão das capacidades dinámicas e dos micro-fundamentos que podem suportar o desenvolvimento das pequenas empresas de VET na China. Além disso, revela a íntima relação entre as referidas capacidades e as vantagens competitivas no mercado chinês. As conclusões são úteis para outras instituições de VET, departamentos governamentais relacionados, partes interessadas em VET na China e instituições estrangeiras interessadas nesse mercado.

A definição de estratégia é essencial para o sucesso de uma organização. Vive-se num mundo cada vez mais competitivo e global e é preciso saber diferenciar face aos concorrentes e aproveitar essa diferenciação para gerar vantagens competitivas. O trabalho tem como objetivo fundamental a compreensão e apresentação das principais ferramentas de análise e os racionais de formulação que permitem a definição de uma estratégia, partindo da análise de um caso de estudo em concreto – o desenvolvimento estratégico das licenciaturas da ISCTE Business School (IBS). O case study está estruturado por forma a englobar a apresentação do caso, a revisão de literatura, a metodologia e, por fim, a nota pedagógica. Na apresentação do caso, foram recolhidas as principais informações sobre as licenciaturas da IBS, introduzindo-se, primeiramente, o ISCTE-IUL como universidade em geral e, mais à frente, a IBS e os seus concorrentes. As referências bibliográficas recolhidas, referentes às ferramentas estratégicas, lato senso, serviram de base para a resolução do caso (nota pedagógica). Seguidamente, é explicada a metodologia utilizada na preparação do projeto, desenvolvendo e detalhando todos os passos para o desenvolvimento estratégico das licenciaturas da IBS. Por último, é realizada a nota pedagógica que aborda questões relativas ao público-alvo, aos objetivos pedagógicos, ao plano de animação e conclui com a resolução do caso. Na resolução do caso, são aplicados as aproximações estratégicas mais adequadas para o caso das licenciaturas da IBS, que foram desenvolvidas na revisão de literatura. Dos resultados da aplicação das análises e racionais de formulação surgem os ajustes aos caminhos escolhidos, visando potenciar a IBS.
Defining a strategy is essential for the success of any organization. Business world is increasingly more global and competitive and there is a clear need to stand out from competitors and explore key distinguishing factors to create competitive advantages. This project has as ultimate goal understanding and presenting the main tools of analysis and the establishment of rationales that lead to the development of a strategy, by looking at a case study - the strategic development of the undergraduate program at ISCTE Business School (IBS). The study is structured in such a way that encompasses an introduction of the case, a literature review, a methodology description and a pedagogical note. Relevant information was gathered about the undergraduate program at IBS, to introduce the case and provide context. Such information covers ISCTE-IUL as a whole and, at a later stage, IBS and its competitors. Bibliographical references collected, regarding strategic tools, were used in the process of understanding and solving the case study (pedagogical note). Subsequently, the project's methodology is described, including a step-by-step explanation of the strategic development of IBS's undergraduate program. Finally, pedagogical note examines questions of target audience, pedagogical goals and the university's entertainment plan, and concludes with the resolution of the case. In such resolution, the project draws on the literature review to identify the more relevant strategic approaches and apply them to the case. This process resulted in the identification of potential adjustments to the current strategy, as a means of enhancing IBS.
