The research investigated 60 parents with conduct disordered children (49 were female and 11 male, 45 had partners and 15 were lone parents, 7 attended with their partners). Group I, the educational training group, consisted of seven parents, while Group II, the competency-based training group, bad five participants. The purpose of our study is to examine how parents experienced their participation and their involvement in a solution-focused parenting group. The parenting groups are a part of the social welfare system in a town in south of Sweden. The study is conducted as a qualitative study with focus groups. 11 parents have participated. However, studies revealed contradictory findings of how children with severe problem levels benefit from the programs.
