The effects of the exogenous potassium nitrate application on major antioxidant enzymes, photosynthetic pigment content, malondialdehyde, hydrogen peroxide and free proline were investigated in salt-stressed (75 mM NaCl) maize genotype (ADA 9510). Plants were grown in growth chamber for ten days. After five days of applications (control, 0 mM NaCl), S75 (75 mM NaCl), potassium nitrate (3 mM KNO<sub>3</sub>) and S75 + potassium nitrate (75 mM NaCl + 3 mM KNO<sub>3</sub>), plants were harvested. The effect of different nitrogen fertilizer (potassium nitrate, ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulphate, urea and farmyard manure) on nitrate reductase activity in cabbage (&lt;i&gt;Brassica oleracea&lt;/i&gt; var. &lt;i&gt;capitata&lt;/i&gt;) seedlings were studied. pH of the plant growth niedia was higher in the nitrate fertilizer treatment than the ammonium and other fertilizer forms. The article presents the results of studies of the effect of lithium, sodium, potassium and ammonium nitrates on the physical and mechanical properties of aluminosilicate adhesives intended for gluing wood and structures based on them. The effect of ammonium present in the induction medium toghether with nitrate on the activity of nitrate reductase (NR), nitrite reductase (NiR), glutamic acid dehydrogenase (GDH) and absorption and accumulation of NO&lt;sub&gt;3&lt;/sub&gt;&lt;sup&gt;-&lt;/sup&gt; in cucumber seedlings were investigated. The KNO<sub>3</sub> supported on 3DOM La<sub>0.8</sub>Ce<sub>0.2</sub>Mn<sub>1−x</sub>Fe<sub>x</sub>O<sub>3</sub> perovskites have been prepared and used for soot removal. The presence of potassium nitrate can accelerate the soot combustion at both low and high temperature. The catalysts exhibit high activities for soot combustion.
