A new species of Campanula (Campanulaceae), C. bergomensis sp. nov., is described from the Bergamo Prealps (Orobic Prealps, Lombardy, Northern Italy), based on both morphological and molecular evidence. It is closely related to D. grignensis from the Grigna Massif, from which it differs mainly in the COI and ITS2 sequences, and minute morphological characters. Campanula martinii a new species in the C. rotundifolia species complex, is here described. C. martinii is seemingly endemic to dolomitic cliffs and rocky places of the Prealps in Lombardia and Trentino-Alto Adige (northern Italy). The plants are robust with long hypogeal stolons, papillose ovary and patent to reflexed calyx teeth. This species is hexaploid with chromosome number 2n = 102. The taxonomic and phylogenetic placement of the new species is briefly discussed.

Abstract. The Gouffre des Diablotins is a deep cave system located in the Swiss Prealps. In 1991, the lower entrance zone of the cave was almost free of ice. Nevertheless the ice volume sharply increased in 1994, plugging almost totally the gallery from the lower entrance. A naturalized population of Asiatic fern Cyrtomium fortunei J. Sm. was found in the surroundings of Nova Gorica.
