Повний текст джерелаThis research aims at observing how a language awareness project involving parents in school could constitute a mediation between school and family environments, participating in the harmonious bilingual development of the multilingual child.Language transmission within families is a constantly negotiated process (Barontini, 2014; Curdt-Christiansen & Huang, 2020). Language educational policies (Blanchet, 2017), the sociolinguistic characteristics of the environment, the parental attitudes towards their languages (De Houwer, 1999, 2017) and the child’s agentivity (Humeau et al., 2023) influence family language practices (Léglise, 2022).In France, the French language is essential to the child’s school achievement and social integration (Montmasson-Michel, 2016). Furthermore, extracurricul language practices are not usually acknowledged nor valued in school, except from sessions designed to awake children to linguistic diversity (Dompmartin-Lenormand, 2011; MEN, 2023).Hence, starting school is a critical period for multilingual children, especially from a psychological, social, identity and linguistic perspective. This could impact language transmission within the family and potentially affect the harmonious bilingual development of the child (De Houwer, 2006), which this study analyses from a sociolinguistic viewpoint. In order to understand the implications of such language awareness sessions on harmonious bilingual development, we conducted an intervention-based study in two preschool classes that were situated in a priority education network area. Using an ethnographic approach, the language experiences of ten families who participated in these sessions were collected by video recording, semi-structured interviews, and ELAL language tests (Moro et al., 2018).Qualitative analysis reveals that such a project involves relational, cognitive, and language mediations between the family and the school environments (Coste et Cavalli, 2015; Alvir et al., 2024). For the parents and children we met, this study reflects a complex, situated appreciation of what makes up the plurality of self and others. This space of mediation has an emancipating effect on its participants (Auger, 2008, 2014). Parents develop their reflexivity and the family’s linguistic strategies are strengthened. Children became aware of their bilingualism and have become better at expressing it (Molinié, 2011).These results tend towards a harmonious bilingual development, as these mediation sessions overcome the boundaries that the child’s schooling may have drawn. By welcoming and valuing parents and family language practices, preschools can respond to the affective, identity, cognitive and inclusive issues that are at the heart of the school

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis was born from our desire to understand and study the management of languages within Djiboutian families. To do this, we decided to focus on the use of the so-called mother tongues and the French language within Djiboutian families in the city of Djibouti, the country's capital. It was seen during this research the place of the languages within the hearths, the role of the parents in such or such language and the recourse and choice of languages in an interaction between the various members of the families. We were able to see the responsibility and the function of each member of the respective families in the introduction of a language. Thus, the reasons for the language choices, the strategies were analyzed and studied. We used quantitative surveys through questionnaires distributed on paper and through technological means. The answers were collected, commented and analyzed. We used the MAC (Combined Analysis Method) methodological framework developed by B. Maurer and we also added to this method other data collection techniques such as interviews, direct observation and other methods that were deemed useful for understanding family language policies in Djibouti City. These results have been processed and have shed light on a number of answers to the hypotheses we formulated at the beginning of the thesis. Family language policies (FLP) are a matter for families, but contexts and the environment play an important role.At the end of this research, we focused on the impact of preschooling on the choice and transmission of the French language in Djiboutian families. This is an area that allows us to understand and detect parental strategies in terms of language choices within families. The family sphere holds the major role in the transmission of languages. All of our research has shown that parents are the pillars of language transmission but also the actors who decide which language or languages to transmit. However, children also have a determining role in the safeguarding of family languages and of French. The French language plays a major role in the many families encountered in this research and it is all a question of linguistic representations

Повний текст джерелаThis qualitative case study poses many theoretical and managerial questions in the context of research on family businesses. It has the distinction of taking place over a period of four years during which a researcher could live at the heart of the organization on a daily basis through an ethnographic approach using the participant observation method. This rare and original method of research has allowed him to be closer to the field, thus enabling the confrontation of family business literature and the daily realities of a family business experiencing a succession process. This case study has allowed the researcher to experience a stage in the succession process, that of managerial succession. In other words, it is the transmission by the founder of leadership and managerial power to potential family successors from the 2nd generation. We seek to understand how essential constructs such as trust and psychological ownership can influence the stakeholders’ behaviors (family and non-family members). By analyzing the antecedents as well as the behavioral and attitudinal consequences of these two main constructs, and by confronting them with the stakes related to this Middle Eastern family business, we were able to identify the organizational, institutional and cultural factors which impact the process of succession
Ninahazimana, Adrien. "Etude du processus de parentification chez les enfants burundais." Thesis, Lyon 2, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014LYO20135/document.
Повний текст джерелаThis work concerns the process of parentification of Burundian children. It occurs in a context of family breakdown due to varied situations following the recurring sociopolitical crises mostly with ethnic and political backgrounds. The thesis aims at understanding how the process takes place, what are its effects on parentified children and which kind of support mechanism could be of some help to them. 14 children and adolescents aged 7 to 17, 7 parents and 1 orphanage educator were met, trough essentially the semi-structured interview and the modeling for children 7- 10 years- old. The results of our research reveal that the parentification process for Burundian children is experienced in three ways: exercising parental authority, carering for other children, and providing affective support for frail parents. Parentified children assume many responsibilities that are beyond their age and their level of physical and psychological development. These multiple responsibilities prevent them from having time to care for themselves as children, but also lead to their school education failure. Parentification for so-called “heads of households” teenagers constitutes a resilience mechanism for survival. To achieve this, they resort to different resources, including images, words and wishes inherited from their late parents which provide them with the strength to raise their siblings. Our qualitative analyzes show that parentified children experience early parenthood. They assume a parental position for which they are not prepared but also they miss their own childhood

Повний текст джерелаThe purpose of this research is to understand how and by which mechanisms multi-generational family firms may renew and thrive across generation. The theoretical anchor just nesting in two theoretical corpus rarely involved: the family firm and strategic renewal. The work has focused especially on multi-generational family firm for what it offers as a potential study of family dimension and the importance of generational aspect in the strategic behavior. Therefore, some key concepts of strategic renewal have emerged leading to the sustainability of the family firm. By a historical and narrative approach, we analyzed the strategic renewal process in four century-old family firm. The results allowed us to understand the role of the family in the strategic renewal process and to propose an integrative model of strategic renewal of the family firm

Повний текст джерелаThe psychic trauma of war confronts the subject with « the real of death » (Lebigot, 2005). It acts as a psychic breaking, for which no representation is available, condemning the affect to wander aimlessly, if not to its glaciation. War traumatism constitute its apogee. At this level, we observe that, to escape the threat of war trauma, many people find by the way of the exodus the hope of a better life in a more secure haven. But if exile appears as an ultimate outcome of protection, its trial doesn’t spare to subject the pain of the « break with origins », associated to a « betrayal » (Stitou 1997, 2006). The exile in post-war would be the propitious ground for lack of symbolization and of transmission between generations, creating a break in filiation (Tourn, 1997). This research is about children of war exiles, born in exile, who feel vicariously the pain without name of their parents. This study concerns the psychopathological effects of family lived in post-war exile in order to analyze the consequences of the « impediment to think » (Cherki, 2008) on the lack of subjectivation of those who are the descendants. Indeed, if the child deprived of the past can’t succeed in thinking himself (Aulagnier, 1989), how can he regain a capacity of subjectivation ? We base our research on History field of Algerian war (1954-1962) and of exodus in France during the sixties. By the sensitive testimony of our participants born in exile during and after war, born into French repatriates and Algerian migrants communities, we will analyze specific and shared factor(s) which involved in hindering the transmission of family history leading to exile, and their impact on the singular life path and psychic construction. We'll see that, if the experience of parents exile as wrench to his native land and as loss of love objects, can harm ways of origins transmission, it can also provide the foundation of subjectivation process for descendants. We will show how the descendants manage to carry out this symbolization opus in exile and by exile to escape the grip of trauma in legacy, which they are the custodians, in order to become the agents of transmission themselves

Повний текст джерелаArticulated around the notion of “plurilingual family”, which is characterized – as well as a plurilingual individual – by a varied and not necessarily balanced linguistic repertoire, this study raises the questions of the transmission of plurilingual practices as well as their development in the institutions in charge of spreading languages, especially in the Czech diaspora background. While families, developing their transnational behaviour, head their family linguistic policies more and more consciously towards the promotion of their plurilingual capital, the diaspora institutions remain in line with a national perspective. Perceived as ambassadors of the minority language-culture in the country where they act, they view the learning of languages and cultures from their monolingual context. The methodological nationalism which, in the Czech case, is based on the political emancipation of the Czech language and culture during the constitution of the state identity, is holding up the development of a didactic of plurilingualism. This research is based on a sociodidactic approach, at the crossing of the language didactic and sociolinguistics. Its field is the Czech diaspora in three countries (France, Croatia, Russia) and it relies on a mixed corpus of semi-directive interviews, institutional speeches and participant observation

Повний текст джерелаEven considering that the field of research for diffusion of innovations theoretically is a mature territory, its approach is predominantly macrosocial and quantitative. The cultural, symbolic or social aspects of the diffusion process may still be explored, by means of a microsocial and qualitative lenses. This study aimed at investigating the influence of the family transmissions in the innovation diffusion process in beauty products, by having the popular class family in brazil as a unit of analysis. The family transmission analysis is based on two theoretical keys: the socialization process and the influence among generations. Two generations of women from fifteen families were interviewed. The method chosen was their life story interview, complemented by the household and children observation. As a result, we put together a set of contributions, distributed into three theme groups. The first group introduced the consumer’s development phases, from the construction of taste to the adjustment of the consumption. Next, we introduced a typology of influences in the process of transmitting novelties, as well as a consumer strategy to manipulate the influential sources, called the confirmation circle. We further described the types of transmission of innovations, which are in favor of the reproduction or even of the renewal of the system of practices and values of the origin family. This study contributed to expliciting the close articulation between the adoption of innovations and the social structure, cultural values, context, the incorporation of a pattern related to consumption taste and imagery
