Повний текст джерелаIn many engineering applications, the objective is to find the optimum performance of a system. To evaluate the performances, it is necessary to measure the output of the system for given inputs. However, in several real-life scenarios, systems are often expensive to evaluate making it difficult to perform the optimization tasks. To address this issue, data-driven models are often identified to estimate the expensive objective functions, associated with the systems, and are employed to approximate their optimum. If poor performances are obtained using these models, they must be improved by re-identifying them with new data. However, since the systems are expensive to evaluate, the data must be chosen carefully. The aim of this thesis is to develop approaches which can be used to improve identified models employed in system performance optimization. These approaches are applied in two different applications. The first one is the aerodynamic design where the goal is to find the optimum dimensions of a projectile based on criteria associated with aerodynamic coefficients. These coefficients are costly to acquire, hence the projectile geometry configurations to evaluate, to find the optimum, must be selected with care. This is usually achieved using approaches such as Bayesian Optimization where a Gaussian Process model is employed to model the static relationship between the projectile configuration and the objective function. In this thesis, a procedure similar to Bayesian Optimization but where Neural Networks are employed as data-driven models instead of Gaussian Processes is developed, to enable scalability for larger datasets. Both approaches are used to solve the aerodynamic design problem, and it is shown that they allow to reduce the costs associated to aerodynamic optimization. The second application concerns control engineering and more particularly the framework of identification for control. The focus is on feed-forward controller design for non-linear systems which can be represented by Wiener structures. More particularly, it is shown how a model of such systems can be used to design the controller. A procedure to iteratively improve the model and re-design the controller is also introduced in the case where the initially designed one does not allow to obtain optimal performances. Overall, the developed approaches provide effective solutions to minimizing system evaluation costs during optimization tasks in diverse engineering fields

Повний текст джерелаLa dernière partie du mémoire est centrée sur l'identification des systèmes de Wiener, dont l'élément non linéaire n'est pas supposé inversible. A cet effet, nous présentons deux schémas d'identification de type fréquentiel et établissons leur consistance dans les mêmes conditions que précédemment concernant les perturbations. L'exigence d'excitation persistante occupe une place centrale dans cette thèse. Pour procurer cette propriété aux différents schémas d'identifications proposés, il a été fait appel à une famille de signaux d'excitation de type impulsionnelle. Dans ce cadre, un lemme technique est élaboré précisant, pour les systèmes linéaires, le lien entre cette famille de signaux et la propriété d'excitation persistante. L'adaptation de ce lemme au cas des systèmes non linéaires est illustrée dans les différents schémas d'identification.

Повний текст джерелаMany works have already been published on noise or echo cancellation, but they mainly concentrate on environments very different from the inside of vehicles. In a vehicle, the word enhancement process is also concerned by the interferences among interlocutors. This work analyzes methodically the techniques of spectral subtraction to deduce their performances on compensation of several typical damages present in the environment of vehicles. This leads to the suggestion of an effective system model for increasing word audibility. A new structure based on an algorithm for word / noise classification, relying on higher (than second) order statistics (HOS), an evolution of the extended spectral subtraction technique, ESS, and an adaptive identification system, AIS, is derived. It gives estimates from two simultaneous observations. The performances of this system in the classic noise reduction and echo suppression problems are investigated. This system includes a digital processing part for word enhancement and a communication part. It should be capable of localizing an identified (target) speaker, to cancel the echoes produced inside the vehicle, to fight against several various noise sources, and to block all other signals, which could as well influence any post-processing of the words, like compression, transmission, or reception

Повний текст джерелаLes systèmes stochastiques étudiés dans ce mémoire sont écrits sous la forme d'une équation différentielle stochastique au sens d'Itô dans lesquels la dérive et la diffusion sont linéaires ou bilinéaires. Les systèmes avec plusieurs bruits multiplicatifs et les systèmes dont les mesures sont affectées par des bruits multiplicatifs sont également traités dans ce mémoire. La conception d'une commande H-infine basée sur un observateur d'ordre réduit pour les systèmes stochastiques incertains est étudiée.
Le critère de performance considéré est le critère H-infine du signal de perturbation vers le signal d'erreur d'estimation. La stabilité retenue pour ces systèmes stochastiques dans ce travail est la stabilité exponentielle en moyenne quadratique.
La méthode utilisée pour trouver les matrices des filtres est basée sur l'utilisation de la théorie de Lyapunov pour les équations différentielles stochastiques, la formule d'Itô et sur la résolution des Inégalités Matricielles Affines couplées à des contraintes bilinéaires qui assurent la stabilité et la performance.

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis is dedicated to the downlink performance study of MIMO systems equipped with MMSE receivers. First, we study multi users multi base stations networks equipped with a certain number of antennas at transmitter and receiver sides and based on a code division multiple access method (CDMA). We determine an asymptotical approximant of the signal to noise ratio at the output of the MMSE receiver obtained when the number of users and the spreading factor tend to infinity while keeping their ratio constant and when the number of transmit and receive antennas tend to infinity in the same manner. This approximant being accurate enough for a reasonable number of antennas, we use it to define a long term power allocation algorithm which purpose is to guarantee a given average binary error rate to the cell users. In the second part of this thesis, considering a possible spatial correlation between transmit and receive antennas, we study the ergod ic capacity associated to flat and frequency selective MIMO systems equipped with MMSE receivers. Using results originated from random matrix theory, we determine a large system approximant of the ergodic capacity obtained when the number of transmit and receive antennas tend to infinity while keeping their ratio constant and study the order of the corresponding relative error term. Finally, we use this approximant to define a precoder structure which purpose is to maximize the ergodic capacity associated to the MIMO system

Повний текст джерелаThis research study is the result of a 3 years CIFRE PhD thesis between the Airbus design office(Aircraft Control domain) and TéSA laboratory in Toulouse. The main goal is to propose, developand validate a software solution for the detection and diagnosis of a specific type of elevator andrudder vibration, called limit cycle oscillation (LCO), based on existing signals available in flightcontrol computers on board in-series aircraft. LCO is a generic mathematical term defining aninitial condition-independent periodic mode occurring in nonconservative nonlinear systems. Thisstudy focuses on the LCO phenomenon induced by mechanical freeplays in the control surface ofa civil aircraft. The LCO consequences are local structural load augmentation, flight handlingqualities deterioration, actuator operational life reduction, cockpit and cabin comfort deteriorationand maintenance cost augmentation. The state-of-the-art for freeplay induced LCO detection anddiagnosis is based on the pilot sensitivity to vibration and to periodic freeplay check on the controlsurfaces. This study is thought to propose a data-driven solution to help LCO and freeplaydiagnosis. The goal is to improve even more aircraft availability and reduce the maintenance costsby providing to the airlines a condition monitoring signal for LCO and freeplays. For this reason,two algorithmic solutions for vibration and freeplay diagnosis are investigated in this PhD thesis. Areal time detector for LCO diagnosis is first proposed based on the theory of the generalized likeli hood ratio test (GLRT). Some variants and simplifications are also proposed to be compliantwith the industrial constraints. In a second part of this work, a mechanical freeplay detector isintroduced based on the theory of Wiener model identification. Parametric (maximum likelihoodestimator) and non parametric (kernel regression) approaches are investigated, as well as somevariants to well-known nonparametric methods. In particular, the problem of hysteresis cycleestimation (as the output nonlinearity of a Wiener model) is tackled. Moreover, the constrainedand unconstrained problems are studied. A theoretical, numerical (simulator) and experimental(flight data and laboratory) analysis is carried out to investigate the performance of the proposeddetectors and to identify limitations and industrial feasibility. The obtained numerical andexperimental results confirm that the proposed GLR test (and its variants/simplifications) is a very appealing method for LCO diagnostic in terms of performance, robustness and computationalcost. On the other hand, the proposed freeplay diagnostic algorithm is able to detect relativelylarge freeplay levels, but it does not provide consistent results for relatively small freeplay levels. Moreover, specific input types are needed to guarantee repetitive and consistent results. Further studies should be carried out in order to compare the GLRT results with a Bayesian approach and to investigate more deeply the possibilities and limitations of the proposed parametric method for Wiener model identification

Повний текст джерелаThis thesis is devoted to the theoretical and numerical study of two main subjects in the context of stochastic differential equations (SDEs): mean reflected SDEs with jumps and McKean-Vlasov backward SDEs.The first part of my thesis establishes the propagation of chaos for the mean reflected SDEs with jumps. First, we study the existence and uniqueness of a solution. Then, we develop a numerical scheme based on the particle system. Finally, we obtain the rate of convergence of this scheme.The second part of my thesis studies the McKean-Vlasov backward SDEs. In this case, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a solution for such equations. Then, thanks to the Wiener chaos expansion, we provide a numerical approximation. Moreover, the convergence rate of this approximation is also determined.The third part of my thesis proposes another type of simulation for the McKean-Vlasov backward SDEs. Due to the approximation of Brownian motion by a scaled random walk, we develop a numerical scheme and we get its convergence rate.In addition, a few numerical examples in these three parts are given to illustrate the efficiency of our schemes and their convergence rates stated by the theoretical results
