Анотація:

Tradisi Mappanre Tasi di Sulawesi Selatan menjadi salah satu bentuk keanekaragaman budaya kearifan lokal yang ada di Desa Ujung Lero, Kecamatan Suppa, Kabupaten Pinrang. Budaya ini sudah ada sejak lama ditengah masyarakat pengikutnya hingga saat ini, meski berada di Tanah Bugis masyarakat Suku Mandar yang pertama kali membuka perkampungan yang berada di pesisir laut dan memperkenalkan tradisi ini terhadap warga sekitarnya sebagai upacara rutin di setiap bulan april. Menjadi fokus pembahasan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana gambaran kearifan lokal budaya Mappanre Tasi yang berkembang di masyarakat pengikutnya, dan bagaimana tingkat penerimaan masyarakat lokal terhadap budaya Mappanre Tasi serta bagaimana aktualisasi kearifan lokal budaya Mappanre Tasi menjadi bagian penting dari penguatan moderasi beragama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif atas dasar fenomenologi, dengan pendekatan deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam terhadap sejumlah informan kunci. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa, budaya kearifan lokal Mappanre Tasi hidup dan berkembang pada masyarakat nelayan yang mendiami daerah sekitar pesisir laut, tradisi ini dilaksanakan setiap tahun di bulan april dengan harapan agar hasil tangkapan ikan di waktu yang akan datang menjadi lebih banyak. Sedangkan respon masyarakat sekitar terhadap budaya ini cukup beragam, diantaranya pelaksanaan budaya ini merupakan warisan dari leluhur yang harus diteruskan ke generasi selanjutnya, dan adanya klaim dari sebagian tokoh masyarakat bahwa budaya ini menyimpan dari ajaran Agama Islam. Kemudian salah satu unsur yang termuat dalam moderasi beragama adalah akomodatif terhadap budaya lokal, sehingga budaya lokal Mappanre Tasi menjadi jembatan pemersatu bagi masyarakat penganut tradisi ini dengan masyarakat disekitarnya

Анотація:

This study investigates the effectiveness of six of the key international indices in estimating Saudi financial market (TADAWUL) index (TASI) movement. To investigate the relationship between TASI and other variables, six equations were built using two independent variables of time and international index, while TASI was the dependent variable. Linear, logarithmic, quadratic, cubic, power, and exponential equations were separately used to achieve the targeted results. The results reveal that power equation is the best equation for forecasting the TASI index with a low error rate and high determination coefficient. Additionally, findings of the AutoRegressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) model represent the most important variables to use in order to build a prediction model that can estimate the TASI index. The ARIMA model (with Expert Modeler) coefficients are described as ARIMA (0,1,14). The results show that the SP500, NIKKEI, CAC40, and HSI indices are the most suitable variables for estimating TASI with an R2 and RMSE equal to 0.993 and 113, respectively. This relationship can be used on the previous day to estimate the opening price of TASI based on the closing prices of international indices.

Анотація:

This article deals with the explanation of local celebration called mocera tasi performed by the ethnic Wotu community in East Luwu District. The focus of the research is closely related to the values understood by the Wotu ethnic community, in relation to the ritual of mocera tasi. Such Values, according to Community understanding, were derived from the cultural practices within the community. The ritual, in addition, was carried out by the Wotu community in order to legitimize the leadership of the Macowa Bawalipu as Wotu traditional leaders, to expressing gratitude to Allah SWT, and to rejecting reinforcements. The mocera tasi rituals as a ritual for ratifying traditional leaders are classified as adat rituals. Mocera tasi, in addition, as an expression of gratitude and refusal of reinforcements is also classified as folk ritual. The benefit to be achieved in the ritual of mocera tasi is linked to the maintenance of the benefit of Nasab (family blood) and wealth. The level of the benefit of the ritual of mocera tasi is at the level of ḥājiyyat.

Hot pressed coupons of composition ZrB -20 v% SiC -5 v% TaSi2 and ZrB2 -20 v% SiC -20 v% TaSi were oxidized in stagnant air at temperatures of 1627 and 1927°C for one, five and ten 10-minute cycles. The oxidation reactions were characterized by weight change kinetics, x-ray diffraction, and SEM/EDS. Detailed WDS/microprobe quantitative analyses of the oxidation products were conducted for the ZrB -20 v% SiC -20 v% TaSi sample oxidized for five 10-minute cycles at 1927°C. Oxidation kinetics and product formation were compared to ZrB2 -20 v% SiC with no TaSi2 additions. It was found that the 20 v% TaSi2 composition exhibited improved oxidation resistance relative to the material with no TaSi additions at 1627°C. However, for exposures at 1927°C less oxidation resistance and extensive liquid phase formation were observed compared to the material with no TaSi2 additions. Attempts to limit the liquid phase formation by reducing the TaSi2 content to 5 v% were unsuccessful. In addition, the enhanced oxidation resistance at 1627°C due to 20 v% TaSi2 additions was not achieved at the 5 v% addition level. The observed oxidation product evolution is discussed in terms of thermodynamics and phase equilibria for the TaSi-containing ZrB2-SiC material system. TaSi-additions to ZrB2-SiC at any level are not recommended for ultra-high temperature (>1900°C) applications due to excessive liquid phase formation.

This study aims to explore the effects of COVID-19 indicators and the oil price crash on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) Trading Volume and Tadawul Index (TASI) for the period from January 1, 2020, to December 2, 2020. The independent variable is oil price, and the COVID-19 indicators are lockdown, first and second decreases of Repo and Reverse Repo rates, Saudi government response, and cumulative deceased cases. The study adopts two phases. In the first phase, linear regression is used to identify the most influential variables affecting Trading volume and TASI. According to the results, the trading volume model is significant with an adjusted R2 of 65.5% and a standard error of 81. The findings of this model indicate a positive effect of cumulative deceased cases and first decrease of Repo and Reverse Repo rates and a negative effect of oil prices on Trading Volume. The TASI model is significant with an adjusted R2 of 86% and a standard error of 270. The results of this model indicate that lockdown and first decrease of Repo and Reverse Repo rates have a significant negative effect on TASI while the cumulative decrease in cases and oil prices have a positive effect on TASI. In the second phase, linear regression, and neural network predictors (with and without validation) are applied to predict the future TASI values. The neural network model indicates that the neural networks can achieve the best results if all independent variables are used together. By combining the collected results, the study finds that oil price has the most substantial effect on the changes in TASI as compared to the COVID-19 indicators. The results indicate that TASI rapidly follows the changes in oil prices.

5551 Background: Tasisulam-sodium (TASI) is a novel, highly albumin-bound small molecule that induces tumor cell apoptosis and has antiangiogenic activity. This phase 1b study was designed as a dose-finding study for TASI in combination with liposomal doxorubicin (DX) in patients (pts) with advanced solid tumors, followed by a dose-confirmation phase in platinum-resistant DX-naïve ovarian cancer (OvCa) pts. However, the study was stopped early for business reasons. Nonetheless, the dataset allowed partial characterization of the safety and antitumor activity of TASI + DX among OvCa pts who achieved an albumin-corrected exposure (AUCalb) within a hypothesized therapeutic range identified in phase II monotherapy trials. Methods: In the dose-escalation phase (3+3 schema), pts received TASI (escalating Cmax targets of 300-380 μg/mL, 2-h IV) plus DX (40 mg/m2, 1-h IV) every 28 days. Pharmacokinetic and safety analyses identified an AUCalb target of 3500 h*μg/mL for the dose-confirmation phase. We analyzed data for OvCa pts from both phases who achieved TASI AUCalbof 1200-6400 h*μg/mL in cycle 1. Results: Of the 13 OvCa pts who completed the dose-escalation phase and 6 OvCa pts who completed the dose-confirmation phase, 10 had AUCalbof 1200-6400 h*μg/mL in cycle 1. For these pts, the most common possibly drug-related Grade 3-4 adverse event was neutropenia (see table). Although no pt achieved complete response, 2 pts achieved partial response. Data from the other OvCa pts will also be presented. Conclusions: The early closure of the study did not allow complete assessment of TASI in combination with DX; however, acceptable tolerability and some antitumor activity were observed for OvCa pts with TASI AUCalbwithin the hypothesized therapeutic range. This research aims to answer the problems of meaning, theological values, philosophical values, and discursive practices in the context of the ritual mocera tasi with qualitative research methods. This research uses the cultural studies approach. Locus of the research included Lampenai Village and Bawalipu Village, Wotu District, East Luwu Regency. Primary data were collected by observations, interviews, and written documents from ritual practitioners. Primary data were collected by literature sources related to research. Resource persons were research informants. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were processed by identification, categorization, and classification stages. Data were analyzed by reduction, display, interpretation, inference, and verification process. The results showed that knowledge was gained by the contestation of meanings around the mocera tasi ritual. Mocera tasi as a spirit of the life of ethnic Wotu people has meaning based on theological and philosophical values. Theological values educate the Wotu community to give thanks to the Creator and give alms for all the blessings that were obtained. Philosophical values teach the emotional soul between humans and nature and fellow creatures created by Allah. The study implied that offending the mocera tasi ritual means touching on the knowledge and beliefs of the ritual participants. Therefore, changing or stereotyping of the mocera tasi ritual will touch on the aspects of the knowledge and beliefs of the Wotu ethnic community. يهدف هذا البحث إلى الإجابة على مشاكل المعنى والقيم اللاهوتية والقيم الفلسفية والممارسات الاستطرادية في سياق موﭼيرا تاسى مع أساليب البحث النوعي. واستخدم البحث منهج الدراسات الثقافية. تضمن محور البحث قرية لامبيناي وقرية باواليبو، منطقة ووتو، منطقة لوو الشرقية. وتم جمع البيانات الأولية عن طريق الملاحظات والمقابلات والوثائق المكتوبة من ممارسي الطقوس. تم جمع البيانات الأولية من خلال مصادر الأدب المتعلقة بالبحث. كان الأشخاص المرجعيون مخبرين للبحوث. وتم اختيار المخبرين بإستخدام تقنية أخذ العينات هادفة. تمت معالجة البيانات عن طريق مراحل التحديد والتصنيف والتصنيف. تم تحليل البيانات عن طريق الاختزال والعرض والتفسير والاستدلال وعملية التحقق. أظهرت النتائج أن المعرفة اكتسبت من خلال الطعن في المعاني حول طقوس موﭼيرا تاسى كروح لحياة شعب ووتو العرقي له معنى قائم على القيم اللاهوتية والفلسفية. القيم اللاهوتية تثقف مجتمع ووتو لتقديم الشكر للخالق وإعطاء الصدقات لجميع النعم التي تم الحصول عليها. القيم الفلسفية تعلم الروح العاطفية بين البشر والطبيعة والمخلوقات التي خلقها الله. أشارت الدراسة إلى أن الإساءة إلى طقوس موكيرا تاسي تعني لمس معارف ومعتقدات المشاركين في الطقوس. لذلك، فإن تغيير أو تنميط طقوس الموزيرا سوف يتطرق إلى جوانب المعرفة والمعتقدات الخاصة بمجتمع ووتو العرقيPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab masalah makna, nilai-nilai teologis, filosofis, dan praktik diskursif dalam konteks ritual mocera tasi dengan metode penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi budaya. Lokasi penelitian meliputi Desa Lampenai dan Desa Bawalipu, Kecamatan Wotu, Kabupaten Luwu Timur. Data primer dikumpulkan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen tertulis dari praktisi ritual. Data primer dikumpulkan oleh sumber literatur yang terkait dengan penelitian. Narasumber adalah informan penelitian. Informan dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data diproses oleh tahap identifikasi, kategorisasi, dan klasifikasi. Data dianalisis dengan reduksi, tampilan, interpretasi, inferensi, dan proses verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan diperoleh dengan kontestasi makna di sekitar ritual mocera tasi. Mocera tasi sebagai ruh kehidupan etnis Wotu memiliki makna berdasarkan nilai-nilai teologis dan filosofis. Nilai-nilai teologis mendidik komunitas Wotu untuk bersyukur kepada Sang Pencipta dan memberikan sedekah untuk semua berkat yang diperoleh. Nilai-nilai filosofis mengajarkan jiwa emosional antara manusia dan alam dan sesama makhluk yang diciptakan oleh Allah. Studi ini menyiratkan bahwa menyinggung ritual mocera tasi berarti menyentuh pengetahuan dan kepercayaan para peserta ritual. Karena itu, perubahan atau stereotip ritual mocera tasi akan menyentuh aspek pengetahuan dan kepercayaan komunitas etnis Wotu.

Анотація:

This study aims to test the causal relationship between Saudi stock market index (TASI) and sectoral indices throughout the period from 2016–2020. The study data were extracted through the main index of the Saudi market and the indices of the available data of 19 sectors out of 21 sectors. The unit root test was used along with the Granger causality test, in addition to multiple regression tests in order to analyze the study hypotheses. The study shows that all index series were stationary at the zero level I (0), and the results also show that there were bidirectional and unidirectional causal relationships between TASI and sectoral indices, and that TASI effectively mirrors all the changes that occur in the Saudi stock market.

Анотація:

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the forecasting performance of linear and non-linear generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (GARCH)–class models in terms of their in-sample and out-of-sample forecasting accuracy for the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) and the Tadawul Industrial Petrochemical Industries Share Index (TIPISI) for petrochemical industries. We use the daily price data of the TASI and the TIPISI for the period of 10 September 2007 to 26 February 2015. The results suggest that the Asymmetric Power of ARCH (APARCH) model is the most accurate model in the GARCH class for forecasting the volatility of both the TASI and the TIPISI in the context of petrochemical industries, as this model outperforms the other models in model estimation and daily out-of-sample volatility forecasting of the two indices. This study is useful for the dataset examined, because the results provide a basis for traders, policy-makers, and international investors to make decisions using this model to forecast the risks associated with investing in the Saudi stock market, within certain limitations.

Анотація:

Axial twisting of the spine has been previously shown to be affected by scoliosis with decreased motion and asymmetric twisting. Existing methods for evaluating twisting may be cumbersome, unreliable, or require radiation exposure. In this study, we present an automated surface topographic measurement tool to evaluate global axial rotation of the spine, along with two measurements: twisting range of motion (TROM) and twisting asymmetry index (TASI). The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of scoliosis on axial range of motion. Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) patients and asymptomatic controls were scanned in a topographic scanner while twisting maximally to the left and right. TROM was significantly lower for AIS patients compared to control patients (69.1° vs. 78.5°, p = 0.020). TASI was significantly higher for AIS patients compared to control patients (29.6 vs. 19.8, p = 0.023). After stratifying by scoliosis severity, both TROM and TASI were significantly different only between control and severe scoliosis patients (Cobb angle > 40°). AIS patients were then divided by their major curve region (thoracic, thoracolumbar, or lumbar). ANOVA and post hoc tests showed that only TROM is significantly different between thoracic AIS patients and control patients. Thus, we demonstrate that surface topographic scanning can be used to evaluate twisting in AIS patients.

To prevent the carbon/carbon (C/C) composites from ablation, a new type of ablation protective coating was prepared on the surface of the C/C composites by a step pack cementation technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis show, the coatings obtained by pack cementation were silicon carbide/tantalum silicide ( SiC-TaSi 2). The ablation behavior of the coated samples were evaluated by the oxyacetylene flame. The results show that, the SiC-TaSi 2 coating can improve the anti-ablative properties of C/C composites effectively. The mass ablation rate for the coated C/C composites was only 7.7 × 10-4 g/s, which was lower by 79% than that of the C/C composites after ablation for 30 s.

In recent decades, lithological mapping techniques using hyperspectral remotely sensed imagery have developed rapidly. The processing chains using visible-near infrared (VNIR) and shortwave infrared (SWIR) hyperspectral data are proven to be available in practice. The thermal infrared (TIR) portion of the electromagnetic spectrum has considerable potential for mineral and lithology mapping. In particular, the abovementioned rocks at wavelengths of 8–12 μm were found to be discriminative, which can be seen as a characteristic to apply to lithology classification. Moreover, it was found that most of the lithology mapping and classification for hyperspectral thermal infrared data are still carried out by traditional spectral matching methods, which are not very reliable due to the complex diversity of geological lithology. In recent years, deep learning has made great achievements in hyperspectral imagery classification feature extraction. It usually captures abstract features through a multilayer network, especially convolutional neural networks (CNNs), which have received more attention due to their unique advantages. Hence, in this paper, lithology classification with CNNs was tested on thermal infrared hyperspectral data using a Thermal Airborne Spectrographic Imager (TASI) at three small sites in Liuyuan, Gansu Province, China. Three different CNN algorithms, including one-dimensional CNN (1-D CNN), two-dimensional CNN (2-D CNN) and three-dimensional CNN (3-D CNN), were implemented and compared to the six relevant state-of-the-art methods. At the three sites, the maximum overall accuracy (OA) based on CNNs was 94.70%, 96.47% and 98.56%, representing improvements of 22.58%, 25.93% and 16.88% over the worst OA. Meanwhile, the average accuracy of all classes (AA) and kappa coefficient (kappa) value were consistent with the OA, which confirmed that the focal method effectively improved accuracy and outperformed other methods.

As development of financial markets has been a growing issue after the financial crisis 2008, this paper has tested efficiency on one of the largest emerging securities markets in the world. It examines lack of reform impact on efficiency of Saudi stock exchange (TASI index) employing random walk hypothesis (RWH) through a battery of parametric and nonparametric tests including autocorrelations, unit root, variance ratio (VR) and Brock, Dechert, and Scheinkman (BDS) test.The study specifically aims to test weak form efficiency before and after massive efforts implemented to reform Saudi exchange. Findings have concluded in a consensus verdict that there is no change observed in TASI index behaviour, and hence it rejected to be a weak-form efficient market. Thus, policy makers and regulators should initiate further reforms; deep regulations and reorganization development to address inefficiency.

Abstract. The study was carried out on 658 Polish Holstein Friesian cows. A transversion of A→C in the P1 promoter region of bovine IGF1 gene at position 977 bp upstream from the start codon in exon 1 was identified using ACRS-PCR method. Reverse primer introduced an artificial TasI restriction site. Three genotypes (AA, AC, CC) were found in the analysed herd of dairy cows occurred with a frequency of 0.766, 0.213 and 0.021, respectively. In the presented study, the statistically significant differences between individuals of different IGF1/TasI genotypes were found in milk, fat and protein yield. In the 2nd and 3rd lactations, the cows carrying the CC genotype produced more milk than the AA individuals (P≤0.05). In the case of protein and fat yield, similar tendencies were observed.

The air quality index (AQI) can be described using different pollutant indices. Many investigators study the effect of stock prices and air quality in the field to show if there is a relationship between changing the stock market and the concentration of various pollutants. This study aims to find a relationship between Saudi Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) and multiple pollutants, including particulate matter (PM10), ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), and AQI. Based on tree models, the relationship is created using linear regression and two prediction models, Chi-square Automatic Interaction Detection (CHAID), and CR-Tree. In order to achieve the target of this research, the TASI dataset relates to six pollutants using time; afterward, the new dataset is divided into three parts—test, validate, and train—after eliminating the outlier data. In order to test the performance of two prediction models, R2 and various error functions are used. The linear regression model results found that PM10, NO2, CO, month, day, and year are significant, whereas O3, SO2, and AQI indices are insignificant. The test dataset showed that R2 scores are 0.995 and 0.986 for CR-Tree and CHAID, respectively, with RMSE values of 387 and 227 for CR-Tree and CHAID, respectively. The prediction models showed that the CHAID model performed better than CR-Tree because it used only three indices, namely, PM10, AQI, and O3, with year and month. The results indicated an effect between changing TASI and the three pollutants, PM10, AQI, and O3.

Domestic wastewater pollution is a pollutant of community activities that can decrease water quality. Tasi-tolu lake used by community for their daily necessities but lack of public awareness of disposing waste water into the lake, causing death of an ecosystem in the water. In research using the pollutant index method according to Environmental Ministry Decision No. 115 year 2003 about Water Quality Status Determination Handbook to determine the class of water to comparing quality standards according to PP No.82 of 2001. The result of study, the pollutant index value showed water quality of Tasi-tolu lake for class II in the upstream and middle part was moderately polluted with IP value 6,065 and 6,112, class III quality standards were lightly polluted with IP values 1,88 and 2,12 while class IV in the upstream meets quality standard IP value 0,76 and in the middle part is lightly polluted with an IP value 1,41.

Soil moisture (SM) plays a fundamental role in the terrestrial water cycle and in agriculture, with key applications such as the monitoring of crop growing and hydrogeological management. In this study, a calibration procedure was applied to estimate SM based on the integration of in situ and airborne thermal remote sensing data. To this aim, on April 2018, two airborne campaigns were carried out with the TASI-600 multispectral thermal sensor on the Petacciato (Molise, Italy) area. Simultaneously, soil samples were collected in different agricultural fields of the study area to determine their moisture content and the granulometric composition. A WorldView 2 high-resolution visible-near infrared (VNIR) multispectral satellite image was acquired to calculate the albedo of the study area to be used together with the TASI images for the estimation of the apparent thermal inertia (ATI). Results show a good correlation (R2 = 0.62) between the estimated ATI and the SM of the soil samples measured in the laboratory. The proposed methodology has allowed us to obtain a SM map for bare and scarcely vegetated soils in a wide agricultural area in Italy which concerns cyclical hydrogeological instability phenomena.

Com o objetivo de identificar essa subespécie, oligonucleotídeos iniciadores foram selecionados a partir de regiões heterólogas do gene recA existentes entre P. carotovorum subsp. brasiliensis ATCC BAA-41 e outras pectobactérias disponíveis no GenBank e P. carotovorum subsp. carotovorum BAB1. No entanto, os oligonucleotídeos iniciadores apresentaram baixa especificidade. O produto da PCR do gene recA, um fragmento de ± 730 pb, de 38 estirpes de P. chrysanthemi e das diferentes subespécies de P. carotovorum, foi digerido com as endonucleases de restrição TasI e HhaI. Estas enzimas foram selecionadas com base na seqüência do gene recA das estirpes P. carotovorum subsp. brasiliensis ATCC BAA-416 (581 pb) e P. carotovorum subsp. carotovorum BAB1 (626 pb). A análise do PCR-RFLP com as enzimas TasI e HhaI gerou sete e 12 padrões, respectivamente. A combinação dos resultados permitiu a separação em 13 grupos distintos e a discriminação de P. carotovorum subsp. brasiliensis.

AbstractSingle-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of exon 8 of the GHR gene were detected in Chinese Holstein cows by polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). The results showed that exon 8 of the GHR gene digested by TasI could be divided into two kinds of alleles and three kinds of genotypes. The frequencies of allele A and T were 0.6339 and 0.3661, respectively. The frequencies of genotypes AA, AT and TT were 0.459, 0.350 and 0.191, respectively. Sequencing showed one single nucleotide mutation T→A at 4962 bp of the gene in genotype TT when compared with genotype AA, and this mutation resulted in an amino acid change of phenylalanine (TTT)→tyrosine (TAT). The result of χ2 testing indicated that the genotypic frequency of the GHR gene digested by TasI did not fit with Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium in this population (P<0.05). The least-square mean of the fat percentage of this population was higher for genotype TT than for genotype AA (P<0.05).

This study deals with the local names of floras and faunas living in the area of Danau Laut Mati Tasi Ana’ in Landu Sub District of Rote Regency. As language and physical nature are two inseparable entities, this study emphasizes that maintaining a language, to some extent, is equal to maintaining the existence of nature and vice versa. Documenting the names of floras and faunas in Landu Dialect of Rote Language and describing their meaning are two main purposes of this study. The underlying principle of it is to maintain the languge from being endangered. The main question that drives this study is to what semantic domain do the local names of floras and faunas belong to? In order to obtain data a Field observation was conducted. The photos of floras and faunas were taken. A native speaker of Landu dialect of Roti Languge who lives nearby the Lake wa consulted in order to get the local names of the floras and faunas. The data analysis follows the model presented by Suweta (2013). The data show that the floras and faunas living in the area of Danau Laut Mati Tasi Ana’ belong to four semantic domains i.e the domain of food for human being, food for animal, herb, and building material.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is strongly committed to stimulating savings culture in the local community by providing financial literacy in financial planning, investments, and budgeting. Inculcating the savings and investment behavior among the people will help materialize one of the elements of Saudi Vision 2030. Tadawul, being the most liquid stock market in the Middle East and North Africa, offers investors the ability to grow their capital with confidence through facilitating trading in different securities such as equities, debt instruments, and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). There is a great scope for investors to invest in the companies listed in Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) due to its strong economic fundamentals. The present study aims to apply the CAPM in Tadawul listed stocks, which will help in understanding the systematic and unsystematic risk associated with stocks, understanding their actual and theoretical return on stocks. The methodology adopted is the analysis of secondary data for all listed stocks in Tadawul using the Bloomberg terminal. The financial valuation includes elements like beta, alpha, correlation and standard deviation, expected return and actual return. The practical value obtained from the study will help investors go for undervalued stocks with lower beta, higher expected annual return, and lower systematic risks. Thus, the result shows the predicting power in KSA market and the scope for long-term investments by the investors to boost their savings and investment behavior and materialize one element of Vision 2030. One of the prominent types of calendar anomalies includes holiday effects, where stocks show abnormally higher mean returns on the days prior to holidays in comparison to other trading days. The current study investigates the existence of holiday effects in the stock exchanges of the Gulf Co-operation Council, namely, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates for the period between January 2009 and December 2020. The national holidays that are considered for the study are New Year’s Day, Mawlid al-Nabi (Prophet birthday), Eid-Al-Isra Wal Miraj, Eid-Al-Fitr, National Day, Hegire Day (Islamic New Year), and Christmas Day. The study employs descriptive statistics and the non-parametric Mann–Whitney U test. The findings of the study disclosed the significant pre-holiday mean returns for ADSMI, BHSEASI, DFMGI, MSM30, TASI and FTDKUW, whereas significant post-holiday mean returns were found only in MSM30 and TASI. The study provided evidence for the presence of a calendar anomaly like holiday effects in the major indices of the Gulf Co-operation Council and proved the market was not in an efficient form during the study period.

Purpose To support the standardized evaluation of bicyclist automatic emergency braking (AEB) systems, test scenarios, test procedures and test system hardware and software tools have been investigated and developed by the Transportation Active Safety Institute (TASI) at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. This paper aims to focus on the development of test scenarios and bicyclist surrogate for evaluating vehicle–bicyclist AEB systems. Design/methodology/approach The harmonized general estimates system (GES)/FARS 2010-2011 crash data and TASI 110-car naturalistic driving data (NDD) are used to determine the crash geometries and environmental factors of crash scenarios including lighting conditions, vehicle speeds, bicyclist speeds, etc. A surrogate bicyclist including a bicycle rider and a bicycle surrogate is designed to match the visual and radar characteristics of bicyclists in the USA. A bicycle target is designed with both leg pedaling and wheel rotation to produce proper micro-Doppler features and generate realistic motion for camera-based AEB systems. Findings Based on the analysis of the harmonized GES/FARS crash data, five crash scenarios are recommended for performance testing of bicyclist AEB systems. Combined with TASI 110-car naturalistic driving data, the crash environmental factors including lighting conditions, obscuring objects, vehicle speed and bicyclist speed are determined. The surrogate bicyclist was designed to represent the visual and radar characteristics of the real bicyclists in the USA. The height of the bicycle rider mannequin is 173 cm, representing the weighted height of 50th percentile US male and female adults. The size and shape of the surrogate bicycle were determined as 26-inch wheel and mountain/road bicycle frame, respectively. Both leg pedaling motion and wheel rotation are suggested to produce proper micro-Doppler features and support the camera-based AEB systems. Originality/value The results have demonstrated that the developed scenarios, test procedures and bicyclist surrogate will provide effective objective methods and necessary hardware and software tools for the evaluation and validation of bicyclist AEB systems. This is crucial for the development of advanced driver assistance systems.
