Abstract Biofouling and corrosion of stainless steel of the AISI 430, 304 L and 316 T types and 70/30 copper-nickel alloy were studied after several weeks of exposure to natural seawater. Microfouling taxonomic structure and dominant species were assessed by exposing glass panels in the same sampling areas used for metal samples. The corrosion behavior of the different metals tested was studied in the laboratory by using potentiodynamic polarization methods and open circuit potential vs. time measurements. Microfouling and corrosion attack observation was made by scanning electron microscopy.

Анотація:

In the spring-summer period of 2021, hydrobiological studies of the Bolshaya Kokshaga River were carried out on the territory of the reserve. The results of the current state of the taxonomic composition and quantitative indicators of phytoplankton, zooplankton and zoobenthos are presented, as well as an assessment of the ecological state of the studied areas of the reservoir. According to the value of the saprobity index for all three groups of aquatic organisms, the ecological state were assessed as «moderately polluted» and corresponded to the III class of water quality.
