The injection mould effectively avoids the interference effect in the course of taking off thread. The productivity is increased effectively, and the stable plastics quality is kept in practical application.

The aim of this article was to describe a thread lifting procedure used for face lifting and skin rejuvenation, developed by the Doctor Molina Dental Institute (IGM, in the Portuguese acronym), termed “IGM custom thread technique” that has shown excellent results in facial tissue repositioning for facial harmonization. In this study, rather than presenting the results, we have described and discussed the proposed custom thread injection technique.

Background Most women consider an oval-shaped face to be youthful and beautiful. In recent years, demand has grown for surgical procedures with a shorter downtime and fewer complications. These minimally invasive procedures include botulinum toxin type A (BoNTA) injection, filler injection, suction-assisted liposuction (SAL), laser-assisted lipolysis (LAL), thread lifting, and fat grafting. This study aims to introduce an effective method for creating an aesthetically pleasing lower face using a combination of minimally invasive procedures.Methods From March 2017 to March 2019, 94 patients simultaneously underwent LAL, SAL, and thread lifting. Ancillary procedures such as BoNTA injections, hyaluronic acid filler injections, and removal of the buccal fat pad (BFP) were selectively performed according to the patient’s condition.Results Patients rated their postoperative satisfaction as very satisfied, satisfied, dissatisfied, or very dissatisfied. Approximately 83% of all respondents were satisfied with the results, whereas the remaining respondents had complaints regarding the outcomes. The most common reasons for dissatisfaction were a longer-than-expected recovery time and undercorrection, and the most severe complaint was skin depression as a result of overcorrection.Conclusions Our method of simultaneously performing LAL, SAL, and thread lifting, while adding BoNTA, filler injections, and BFP removal as needed, was capable of producing consistent and reliable aesthetic outcomes for the lower face.

AbstractAging of the face produces many changes in the structure and integrity of the skin and other anatomical aspects, the three major signs of which are volume loss, sagginess, and skin quality change. Through surgical or nonsurgical procedures, it is possible to slow or even reverse these mechanisms through artificial means, including thread lifting, radiofrequency, or filler injection. Filler injections are particularly popular in recent years, owing to their convenience, efficacy, and long-lasting results. In this minireview, the author outlines the basic mechanisms behind facial aging, discusses current literature on each aspect of facial aging, and offers injection protocol recommendations based on past literature and clinical experience.

Normally, tip vortex cavitation (TVC) is first observed at a certain location behind the tips of propeller blades. Therefore, TVC is important for naval ships and research vessels that require raising the cavitation inception speed to maximum possible values. The concepts for alleviating the tip vortex are summarized by Platzer and Souders (1979), who carried out a thorough literature survey. Active control of TVC involves the injection of a polymer or water from the blade tip. The main effect of such mass injection (both water and polymer solutions) into the vortex core is an increase in the core radius, consequently delaying TVC inception. However, the location of the injection port needs to be selected with great care to ensure that the mass injection is effective in delaying TVC inception. In the present study, we propose a semi-active control scheme that is achieved by attaching a thread at the propeller tip. The main idea of a semi-active control is that because of its flexibility, the attached thread can be sucked into the low-pressure region closer to the vortex core center. An experimental study using a scale model was carried out in the cavitation tunnel at the Seoul National University. It was found that a flexible thread can effectively suppress the occurrence of TVC under the design condition for a model propeller.

In order to clarify the impact of cyclic loading on the mechanical properties and sealing performance of threaded connections on pipe string under the injection-production conditions of gas storage and the airtight threaded connections suitable for the actual working conditions can be preferred, the sealing failure of injection and production tubular strings of several domestic gas storages was investigated comprehensively. It was found that the airtight threaded connections with different performance may leak during the service of tubular strings. Existing standards and testing methods have limitations, which are not fully applicable to the working environment of gas storage wells and the production mode of forced injection-production and cannot reflect the operation characteristics of multiround injection and production. Based on the stress analysis of the tubular string during injection and production, a full-scale simulation testing of 30 cycles of gas seal cycle under alternating load was proposed. The cyclic loading test results of two P110·13Cr tubing in domestic gas storage showed that after 30 cycles of cyclic loading, the yield strength, internal pressure strength, collapse strength, and compressive bearing capacity of tubing were all decreased; the compression efficiency of the joints should be fully considered when selecting the gas-sealed thread.

This thesis investigates the use of micro-injection moulding (μIM), as a high-volume process, for producing three-dimensional, integrated microfluidic devices. It started with literature reviews that covered three topics: μIM of thermoplastic microfluidics, designing for three-dimensional (3-D) microfluidics and functional integration in μIM. Research gaps were identified: Designing 3-D microfluidics within the limitations of μIM, process optimisation and the integration of functional elements. A process chain was presented to fabricate a three-dimensional microfluidic device for medical application by μIM. The thesis also investigated the effect of processing conditions on the quality of the replicated component. The design-of-experiments (DOE) approach is used to highlight the significant processing conditions that affect the part mass taking into consideration the change in part geometry. The approach was also used to evaluate the variability within the process and its effect on the replicability of the process. Part flatness was also evaluated with respect to post-filling process parameters. The thesis investigated the possibility of integrating functional elements within μIM to produce microfluidic devices with hybrid structures. The literature reviews highlighted the importance of quality control in high-volume micromoulding and in-line functional integration in microfluidics. A taxonomy of process integration was also developed based on transformation functions. The experimental results showed that μIM can be used to fabricate microfluidic devices that have true three-dimensional structures by subsequent lamination. The DOE results showed a significant effect of individual process variables on the filling quality of the produced components and their flatness. The geometry of the replicated component was shown to have effect on influential parameters. Other variables, on the other hand, were shown to have a possible effect on process variability. Optimization statistical tools were used to improve multiple quality criteria. Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) were processed with μIM to produce hybrid structures with functional elements.

It is not uncommon to read about hacker attacks in the newspaper today. The hackers are targeting governments and enterprises, and motives vary. It may be political or economic reasons, or just to gain reputation. News about smaller systems is, unsurprisingly, not as common. Does this mean that security is less relevant of smaller systems? This report investigates the threat model of smaller web applications, to answer that very question.Different attacks are described in the detail needed for explaining their threat but the intention is not to teach the reader to write secure code. The report does, however, provide the reader with a rich source of references for that purpose. After describing some of the worst threats, the general cloud threat model is analyzed. This is followed by a practical analysis of a cloud system, and the report is closed with general strategies for countering threats.The severe destruction that a successful attack may cause and the high prevalence of those attacks motivates some security practices to be performed whenever software is produced. Attacks against smaller companies are more common now than ever before

Large quantities of oil usually remain in oil reservoirs after conventional water floods. A significant part of this remaining oil can still be economically recovered by Water- Alternating-Gas (WAG) injection. WAG injection involves drainage and imbibition processes taking place sequentially, hence the numerical simulation of the WAG process requires reliable knowledge of three-phase relative permeability (kr) accounting for cyclic hysteresis effects. In this study, the results of a series of unsteady-state two-phase displacements and WAG coreflood experiments were employed to investigate the behaviour of three-phase kr and hysteresis effects in the WAG process. The experiments were carried out on two different cores with different characteristics and wettability conditions, using a low IFT (interfacial tension) gas–oil system. The first part of this study, evaluates the current approach used in the oil industry for simulation of the WAG process, in which the two-phase relative permeability data are employed to generate three-phase kr values using correlations (e.g. Stone, Baker). The performance of each of the existing three-phase relative permeability models was assessed against the experimental data. The results showed that choosing inappropriate three-phase kr model in simulation of the WAG experiments can lead to large errors in prediction of fluid production and differential pressure. While some models perform better than others, all of the three-phase kr models examined in this study failed to adequately predict the fluid production behaviour observed in the experiments. The continued production of oil after the breakthrough of the gas, which was one of the features of gas and WAG injection experiments at low gas-oil IFT, was not captured with these models. The second aim of this research was to develop a method for obtaining the values of three-phase relative permeabilities directly from WAG core flood experiments. For this purpose, a new history matching method was devised based on a Genetic Algorithm to estimate three-phase kr from unsteady-state coreflood experiments. Based on this methodology, a three-phase coreflood optimizer was developed that generates best kr values by matching the experimentally obtained production and pressure data. First, the iii integrity of the developed software was successfully verified by using two sets of experimental three-phase kr data published in the literature. Then, the program was used to determine three-phase relative permeability of various cycles of the WAG experiments performed at different wettability conditions. Two key parameters affecting the WAG performance, including the hysteresis phenomena occurring between kr of the different WAG cycles and the impact of wettability of the rock, have been investigated. The data have been used to evaluate the existing hysteresis models published in the literature. Some of the shortcomings associated with the existing methods have been revealed and discussed. In the latter part of the thesis, a new methodology is proposed for modelling of threephase relative permeability for WAG injection. This approach addresses the hysteresis effects in the three-phase kr taking place during the WAG process and attempts to reduce the inadequacies observed in the existing models. The integrity of this technique has been validated against the three-phase kr data obtained from our WAG experiments.

Ultrasound (US) guidance has gained recognition in the field of regional anesthesia mainly because of its definite advantage of visually localizing the desired target and also due to perceived benefits of safety, accuracy, and efficiency when peripheral nerve blocks are performed. On the contrary, ultrasonography of the spinal structures may be challenging because of depth, bony acoustic shadowing, and complex three-dimensional anatomy. Nevertheless, US allows satisfactory imaging of the posterior elements of spine column and paraspinal soft tissues. This makes US applicable and practical in the outpatient clinical setting, and thus ultrasonography has been increasingly penetrating into chronic spinal pain management. Perhaps the major advantage of ultrasound-guided spine interventions is the lack of radiation exposure. Lumbar transforaminal injections are frequently performed for managing acute and chronic radicular pain, and US guidance may reduce overall radioactive contamination.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) can be improved by changing certain lifestyle factors such as sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy food, nicotine and alcohol abuse, or optimal management of risk factors/concomitant diseases causing or aggravating ED such as dyslipidaemia, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, depression, BPH/LUTS, or hypogonadism.First choice in the medical therapy of ED are PDE-5 inhibitors such as sildenafil, vardenafil, and tadalafil used p.r.n, or on a daily low-dose regimen regarding tadalafil, especially in patients suffering from ED and BPH/LUTS. Yohimbine and L-arginine may be considered in patients with mild PE, which also applies for topical alprostadil. Both transurethral alprostadil and self-injection therapy with alprostadil, papaverine/phentolamine, or the trimix combination consisting of all three compounds is mostly reserved for those patients non-or poorly responding to PDE-5 inhibitors. Finally, combination therapy with PDE-5 inhibitors and transurethral alprostadil or intracavernous self-injection therapy can be able to rescue non-responders to either monotherapy.

Endophthalmitis refers to inflammation of both the anterior and posterior intraocular chambers and their structures. This vision-threatening condition occurs in three principal scenarios: penetrating ocular trauma, after intraocular surgery, and in systemically infected (often immunocompromised) patients. Endophthalmitis presents with marked intraocular inflammation, often with hypopyon. Patients report pain and significant vision loss out of proportion to typical post-operative complaints. It is distinguished from uveitis by both history and slit lamp examination. Endophthalmitis is an ophthalmic emergency. Same day ophthalmology consult/referral is mandatory. Vision is threatened over the course of hours. Treatment includes prompt intravitreal injection of antibiotics by an ophthalmologist. Systemic therapy should occur only in in endogenous infections, continuing until cultures clear.

It has been attracting more and more interest, and its pertinence as a potential option for responding to the threats from climate change may be set to increase because of the long-term temperature goal (well below 2°C or 1.5°C) in the 2015 Paris Agreement. Initial research has demonstrated that SAI would cool the climate system and reduce climate risks in many ways, although it is mired in unknown environmental risks and various sociopolitical ramifications. The proposed techniques are in the early stage of research and development (R&D), providing a unique opportunity for upstream public engagement, long touted as a desirable pathway to more plural and inclusive governance of emergent technologies by opening up social choices in technology. Solar geoengineering governance faces various challenges. One of the most acute of these is how to situate public engagement in international governance discourse; the two topics have been studied separately. Another challenge relates to bridging the gap between the social choices at hand and assessment of the risks and benefits of SRM. Deeper integration of knowledge across disciplines and stakeholder and public inputs is a prerequisite for enabling responsible innovation for the future of our climate.

This chapter explores the work and influence of Roscoe Pound who offered sociological jurisprudence in response to transatlantic-inspired threats to the future of the common law. At issue was the rise of social science as an alternative, civil-law-affiliated, administrative paradigm that simultaneously threatened the academic interests of the law schools, the professional concerns of the bar, and the core constitutional principles of judicial supremacy. Within this context, Pound selectively drew on European social legal theory with the goal of saving the common law from itself. The project consisted of two primary proposals for reform, one focused on the universities, the other on the courts. Through the injection of social-scientific content into legal pedagogy and research, sociological jurisprudence forged a socio-legal paradigm that together with lowering the barriers separating law from society also ensured that law would continue to exist as a distinct field of inquiry in the universities and beyond. Where the courts were concerned, sociological jurisprudence answered pressures for radical curtailment of judicial review with a narrow, formalist, construction of the deficiency at the core of the Lochner Court’s reasoning. It was a problem definition that successfully served to deflect direct attacks on judicial supremacy. Largely hidden going forward has been the extent to which the constitutional battle lines of the early twentieth century were drawn between rival, common law- and civil-law-based paradigms of administrative governance.

Abstract5G technology for mobile networking involves control communications to set up the radio channels and the authentication and security credentials. The control communications preceding the authentication and subscription verification remain vulnerable against the communication injection threats. We study the injection threats on control communications in 5G New Radio standard in 3GPP. From our 5G client-based implementation and experimentation against real-world networking, we analyze and measure the threat impact against the 5G service provider infrastructure of the core network. To secure 5G networking, our paper discusses about future research directions for increasing the understanding of such vulnerability/threat and for building greater security and availability for 5G networking against such wireless injection threats.

Micro two shot injection moulding (μtwo shot IM) is a manufacturing process capable of simultaneously replicating two polymeric parts and assembling them; removing the requirement for costly micro assembly. Endoscopes are used in medical environments to observe areas that are otherwise unobservable. μTwo shot IM has the potential to simultaneously replicate and assemble polymer lenses for endoscope imaging and assembling them to their required housing. In view of this, this paper contributes a case study part for application of μtwo shot injection moulding in the fabrication of an endoscopic micro optical component. This paper covers several aspects involved in the design of such a part. This novel design concept consists of an optical component and a housing component moulded sequentially on top of each other using μtwo shot IM. The lens component consisted of three lenses with a common base moulded as the first shot. The second shot moulded on onto the optical component was the housing component incorporating an external thread for interchangeability. From a material selection exercise it was concluded that cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) shall be used as the optical material and polyoxymethylene (POM) shall be used as the housing material. One major concern in the design of such a part is the deformation of the optical material by the housing material due to softening via heat transfer. Simulations of such a scenario were carried out and it was indicated that the functionality of the optical material shall not be compromised.

This study investigated the effects of increased injection regime complexity on injector and combustion stability in a naturally aspirated single cylinder diesel engine equipped with a common rail fuel injection system and an instrumented injector. The injection regimes investigated included a single injection, a main injection with a pilot, and a split-main with a pilot. Injector performance was found to be very stable over all injection regimes and did not contribute to variations in combustion stability. Cylinder pressure variation during the initiation of combustion was identified as a potential method of identifying the start of combustion phasing and compared to current methods. Three series of tests were conducted at various speeds and injection pressures to demonstrate the influence of multi-pulse injection phasing on combustion stability and total fuel consumption. These results demonstrate that the presence of a stationary wave in the high-pressure fuel line, induced by an early injection, can dramatically affect the amount of fuel injected in subsequent injections within the same cycle.

The rate at which fuel is injected into the cylinder of a direct injection Diesel engine has significant implications for the ensuing mixture formation and combustion processes. Advances in fuel injector technology enable a variety of advanced injection strategies, particularly very closely coupled injection events. In this work, a Moehwald HDA injection quantity and rate measuring unit is used to investigate the injection rates obtained with a pre-production solenoid injector with a fast acting, pressure-balanced control valve using a blend of n-hexadecane and heptamethylnonane (DPRF58). The effects of digital signal filtering on the rate shape and injected mass are investigated for a single injection. Additionally, the effects of physical parameters such as fuel and measurement chamber temperature, axial clamping force on the injector, high pressure line length, and solenoid current pull up time on the rate shape are investigated. The primary purpose of these simple parameter variations is to establish whether or not they have an impact on the measured injection rate traces and/or total measured injected masses. At each dwell time, the rates of injection are compared between the three injectors tested. These results show that these pre-production injectors can operate with very short dwell times while the injection rate curves indicate distinct pilot and main injection events and an influence of dwell on the rate shape of the main injection. Testing with PRF, a blend of n-heptane and isooctane, shows that while rates of injection are comparable to those obtained with the DPRF for a single injection, they are dramatically different for multiple injections. This has significant implications for the optical diagnostic techniques that may be employed to study the effects of multiple injections on the mixture formation process.

The basic physical law governing the injection in Common Rail Systems is the compressibility of the fuel. The effects of pressure wave dynamics, the layout of the system volume and its geometrical distribution strongly affect the injection events at every injector. In this Paper, three different arrangements of system volumes and their effect upon the performance of the individual injectors are compared using the hydraulics simulation tool AMESim. Two systems are known in the passenger car and the heavy duty diesel engine domains. The third system is new and takes advantage of pressure wave dynamics to tailor the injection event. This system is best suited for Diesel Engines with a power from 1 to 5 MW, as used in locomotives, ships, power generation and heavy earthmoving machinery. It produces a more favorable pattern of the injection pressure and injection rate shape during any injection event by hydraulically interconnecting the individual injector’s accumulators during the injection and taking advantage of pressure wave dynamics. Right after the end of each injection, dynamic pressure pulsations are evened out with a dampening device. A multi-cylinder system provides equal conditions for all injections. Its very simple design and increased performance makes the novel system of very attractive use in the above mentioned fields.

A three-dimensional computational model has been developed to describe the compressible, multi-component, turbulent, reacting plasma jet coupled with the orthogonal injection of carrier gas and particles. This model has been applied to plasma spray process that includes physical phenomena such as heating, melting, accelerating, and evaporation of in-flight particles. The entrained particles, NiCrAlY and ZrO2, are discretely treated in a Lagrangian coordinate and stochastically generated by sampling from the probability distributions of the particle size and its velocity at the injection nozzle. In this study, special attention has been directed to the effects of carrier gas injection on the characteristics of plasma jet. The computational results show that the injection of carrier gas from the orthogonal injector above the plasma jet introduce the 3-D phenomena of plasma gas flow. The plasma jet is defected and the thermo-fluid flow near the injector is locally deformed.

Using the pressure sensitive paint (PSP) technique, film cooling effectiveness was measured on a turbine vane pressure surface, with a four-row showerhead cooling hole configuration and a single row of holes on the pressure side. Nitrogen gas was used to simulate film cooling flow providing an oxygen concentration map corresponding to an effectiveness map by the mass transfer analogy. Three showerhead coolant injection angles (45°, 90°, and 135°) were studied and two pressure side injection angles (20° and 40°) for cylindrical holes and a 40° angle for shaped hole were studied. In addition, studies were performed on three combinations of shower head and pressure side injections. Film effectiveness was measured for each of the cases at three blowing ratios. The pressure sensitive paint (PSP) was used to indicate oxygen concentration and was calibrated at various temperatures and pressures to obtain better accuracy before being applied to the airfoil surface. The results indicate that 45° spanwise angle injection provides best film coverage for the shower head injections. For pressure side injections, the 20° cylindrical hole injection results in the highest effectiveness values and the shaped hole improves film effectiveness immediately downstream from the injection point. The film effectiveness for three combined injections and the interaction between showerhead injection and the pressure side injection are also presented and discussed.

The objectives were: 1) to develop a practical method for improving conception rates of dairy cows by administering progesterone during the critical period of the luteal phase prior to first insemination, 2) to determine which cows respond best to such a progesterone treatment, and 3) to determine physiological changes that are associated with this treatment. Experiment 1, conducted in the US and Israel, tested three treatment protocols. Holstein cows: 1) served as controls, 2) received two injections of prostaglanding F2a (PGF) 14 days apart, or 3) received two PGF injections and were inserted with a progesterone releasing intravaginal device (PRID) for 6 days beginning 9 days after the first injection of PGF. Fertility was positively related to plasma progesterone concentations prior to the second PGF injection, but PRID treatment did not improve fertility in cows with low progesterone. Cows in synchronized estrus 2-8 days after the second injection of PGF had higher fertility and better reproductive performance than non-synchronized cows. Experiment 3, conducted in Israel, involved three studies that assessed effect of PRID treatment on: 1) progesterone concentration in ovarian tissue and uterine tissue and fluids, 2) changes in systemic LH and estradiol, and 3) development and function of dominant follicles. Treatment with PRID increased progesterone in uterine tissue and fluid exclusive of effects on systemic concentrations. Low progesterone resulted in persistent follicles that exceeded normal size and produced excessive estrogen. Experiment 4, conducted in the US, evaluated influence of endogenous progesterone on embryo development. Cows were given two injections of PGF 14 days apart and single embryos were recovered 7 days after estrus. Among cyclic cows, there was a linear relationship between progesterone concentration and percentage of cows from which an embryo was recovered. Overall these experiments show that systemic progesterone concentrations affect fertility in high-producing dairy cows through effects on follicular development and embryo survival

Review question / Objective: In recent years, many articles have shown the significant clinical effects of traditional Chinese medicine for esophageal cancer (EC) treatment. These studies involved Chinese medicine injection, decoction, acupuncture, and moxibustion. Chinese medicine injections, including Aidi injection (Aidi) (Z52020236, China food and Drug Administration; composed of 0.15 g/ml cantharis, 5 g/ml ginseng, 10 g/ml Astragalus and 15 g/ml Eleutherococcus senticosus at a ratio of 0.03:1:2:3. The three plant names have been checked with http://www.theplantlist.org 2022/6/4), Shenqifuzheng injection, Kanglaite injection, compound Kushen injection, and Kangai injection, are widely used to treat cancer in clinical practice because of their efficacy and convenience. Aidi combined with standard treatment, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or chemoradiotherapy (CR) (Aidi-based combination therapy), showed significant efficacy in the treatment of unresectable EC. However, existing studies are limited to small sample sizes, and the efficacy of Aidi in the treatment of unresectable EC has not been confirmed in large-scale phase III clinical trials. Therefore, it is important to derive more convincing results by analyzing all the reported data. Herein, we conducted a literature search for all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that applied Aidi-based combination therapy in unresectable EC treatment, and a meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the efficacy of Aidi-based combination therapy in unresectable EC treatment.

Injecting a polymer solution into a porous medium significantly increases the modeling complexity, compared to model a polymer bulk solution. Even if the polymer solution is injected at a constant rate into the porous medium, the polymers experience different flow regimes in each pore and pore throat. The main challenge is to assign a macroscopic porous media “viscosity” to the fluid which can be used in Darcy law to get the correct relationship between the injection rate and pressure drop. One can achieve this by simply tabulating experimental results (e.g., injection rate vs pressure drop). The challenge with the tabulated approach is that it requires a huge experimental database to tabulate all kind of possible situations that might occur in a reservoir (e.g., changing temperature, salinity, flooding history, permeability, porosity, wettability etc.). The approach presented in this report is to model the mechanisms and describe them in terms of mathematical models. The mathematical model contains a limited number of parameters that needs to be determined experimentally. Once these parameters are determined, there is in principle no need to perform additional experiments.

Review question / Objective: Epidural injection (EI) has been used to manage lower back or radicular leg pain from herniation of lumbar disc (HLD). Three types of EI techniques, including transforaminal (TFEI) interlaminar (ILEI), and caudal epidural injections (CEI), are being applied. We aimed to evaluate the comparative effect of TFESI, ILEI, and CEI for reducing pain or improving function in patients with HLD. Condition being studied: For controlling inflammation by the HLD, various oral medications and procedures are used. Among these therapeutic methods, EI of the drugs is frequently used in clinical practice. Its positive HLD-induced pain reducing effect was reported in several previous studies. Three types of techniques, including TFEI, ILEI, and CEI, have been utilized in clinical practice. conflicting outcomes as to which technique is superior were reported in previous studies. So far, some meta-analysis studies for comparing the effects of different EI techniques on HLD were conducted. However, these previous studies conducted comparison between two procedures among TFEI, ILEI, and CEI. In the current study, using network meta-analysis, we synthesize and compare the effects of TFEI, ILEI, and CEI on pain from HLD, together.

Review question / Objective: Advanced lung cancer has become the top malignant tumor in terms of morbidity and mortality, and Chinese herbal injections combined with western drugs have been widely used to treat advanced non-small cell lung cancer. For this purpose, we conducted a Bayesian network analysis to systematically evaluate the efficacy of different herbal injections combined with western drugs in the treatment of NSCLC. Subjects: Patients diagnosed with NSCLC by pathological or cytological examination, locally advanced or those who refused surgical treatment were included, regardless of gender, age, stage, race, nationality and sample size; Interventions: Chinese herbal injections combined with three types of commonly used western drugs (platinum, targeted and immune agents) were used in the experimental group, while the control group was treated with western drugs alone; Study type: to report the efficacy of Chinese herbal injections combined with western drugs in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer efficacy in a randomized controlled trial (rct) Eligible. No restrictions were imposed on language, year of publication, or publication status. Ending indicators: Main ending indicators: (1) disease control rate (DCR), DCR = (complete remission + partial remission + stable)/total number of cases. Efficacy rate = (number of improvement cases + number of stable cases)/total number of cases. (2) Secondary outcome indicators: quality of life, determined according to the KPS behavioral status scale, improvement was defined as an increase of ≥10 points in KPS score after treatment; stability was defined as an increase or decrease of <10 points in KPS score; decline was defined as a decrease of ≥10 points in KPS score. (3) The incidence of adverse reactions, including gastrointestinal reactions, white blood cell (WBC) reduction, hemoglobin (HGB) reduction, platelet (PLT) reduction, etc.
