Анотація:

Children with protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) need a food product that can be easily absorbed by the body because they have impaired nutrient utilization and lipid profile disorder. The provision of fermented products such as tempeh is an alternative approach. Seeds of tree bean (Parkia timoriana (DC) Merr.) are a good source of various nutrients needed by children with PEM. This study aimed to prove the effectiveness of the administration of tempeh flour from tree bean (Parkia timoriana (DC) Merr.) seeds on the lipid profile in PEM rats. PEM in rats was induced by a zero-protein diet containing granulated sugar (20 g), vegetable oil (1 g), and cornstarch (24 g). The animals were categorized into a normal control group (K+), a PEM group without treatment (K−); a group fed tempeh flour from tree bean (Parkia timoriana (DC) Merr.) seeds 1.5 g.kg-1 BW (P1); and a group fed tempeh flour from tree bean (Parkia timoriana (DC) Merr.) seeds 3 g.kg-1 BW (P2). The intervention was administered for 30 days. There was a significant increase in HDL levels (p = 0.001) and significant decreases in cholesterol (p = 0.001), triglyceride (p = 0.001), LDL levels (p = 0.001), and atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) (p = 0.000) in treatment groups. In conclusion, the administration of tempeh flour from tree bean (Parkia timoriana (DC) Merr.) seeds increases HDL levels and decreases cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL level, and atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) in rats with PEM.

The Australia genus Uracanthus consists of 39 species and its larvae are known to be borers of at least 31 genera of trees and parasitic plants in 15 families (Asteraceae, Betulaceae, Casuarinaceae, Cupressaceae, Fabaceae, Loranthaceae, Myrtaceae, Pittosporaceae, Proteaceae, Rhamnaceae, Rosaceae, Rutaceae, Sapindaceae, Sterculiaceae, and Xanthorrhoeaceae), including some economically important crops such as citrus, litchi, peach, plum, and apricot. The phylogeny and biogeographic distribution of the genus were investigated in this paper. Here, the monophylies of the genus and seven species groups are inferred based on morphological characters of 39 ingroup and four outgroup species. However, several species groups still need additional steps to become monophyletic and are currently considered paraphyletic. The Uracanthus fauna occur in five biogeographic subregions: the Kosciuskan, Western and Eyrean in southern and central Australia, and the Torresian and Timorian in northern Australia. The fauna are richest with highest endemism in the Kosciuskan and Western. The Kosciuskan and Western are similar in faunal composition and closely related; the Eyrean has probably acted as a faunal exchange transit area between the Kosciuskan and Western, and the two northern Australian subregions have no endemic species. When the areas of endemism of each species are attached to the proposed phylogenetic tree, a clear picture of the distribution patterns of species groups in relation to phylogeny is obtained. It is suggested that the speciation and species radiation of Uracanthus may have occurred first in the Kosciuskan, then in the Western, and finally in the Eyrean, Torresian, and Timorian.

Introduction Alveolar adenoma belongs to the group of benign epithelial tumors. Histogenesis of alveolar adenoma is a combination of proliferation of alveolar pneumocytes and fibrous tissue originating from septal mesenchyma. Case outline A sixty-nine-year old female patient was hospitalized for clinical examination and surgery of well defined and homogenous timorous lesion in the right middle lobe causing pleural pain. Bronchoscopic examination with biopsy did not resolve etiology of the disease. Tumorectomy was performed. Timorous nodule had a multicystic appearance and histologically, histochemically and immunohistochemically, an alveolar adenoma was estimated. Five years after surgery, the patient feels well, without respiratory symptoms and signs of recurrence or malignant alteration, respectively. Conclusion Alveolar adenoma is a rare benign lung tumor, most frequently presented as a solitary pulmonary nodule. After complete surgery, the tumor neither relapses nor malignantly alters. Surgical excision is curative. It is necessary to take into consideration alveolar adenoma, too, when a solitary pulmonary nodule is diagnosed.

Анотація:

This study aimed to reveal indicator plant species in the secondary forest by applying a descriptive approach and field observation as well as refer to releve method. Tral vegetation data of vascular plant at seedlings, saplings, poles, and tree stages that analyzed using MVA.4 (TWINSPAN) software. The analyzed result indicated 12 groups of associations and 1 group of solitary association in which the species were categorized as dominant. The most often appear species in 12 association group based on their growing shapes were Actinodaphne nitida, Celtis latifolia, Hemappasandra sp., Teijmaniodendron sp., Lea acuelata, Spatiostemon jevensis, Koordersiodendron pinnatum, Sisipus sp., Sterculia macrophylla, Litsea timoriana, Macaranga sp., Aglaia sp., Rhus taitensis, Alstonia scholaris, Archidendron parviflorum, Callophylum inophylum and Ficus sp. While the most dominant species in the solitary association were Chisocheton ceremicus, Cryptocarya sp., Canarium hirsutum, Euodia elleryana, Litsea ladermani, and Litsea timoriana. These species arranged and functioned as the dominant tree structure in the secondary forest along the north Manokwari area of Manokwari.

Анотація:

One of the disadvantages of photodynamic therapy is impossibility to specify the method according to biological features of malignant tumor such as a degree of blood supply, accumulation of photosensibilizator in tumorous tissue, proliferative activity and etc. The authors aimed to develop a mode of individualization of endobronchial photodynamic therapy of central non-small cell carcinoma of lung and assessment of method efficacy. The suggested method is based on fluorescent diagnostics of degree of accumulation of photosensibilizator in timorous tissue and the rate of its expenditure in process of performing of photodynamic therapy. There was made a comparison of parameters of methods and results of photodynamic therapy in 2 randomized groups. Each group consisted of 45 patients. The research method was applied in the main group and the standard method was used in the comparison group. It was found that the research method allowed significant reduction of duration of irradiation compared with conventional method (at the average from 690±65sec to 470±45sec, p=0,02), though the treatment results were the same. The suggested method allowed separation of group of patients with absence of fluorescence of timorous tissue. Performance of photodynamic therapy is unreasonable for these patients.

Abstract:Although the floral traits ofParkiaconform to the bat-pollination syndrome, many visitors other than bats have been observed at their flowers. Some chiropterophilous plants are also pollinated by other animals; the syndrome is therefore best regarded as a hypothesis for which field observations and pollination experiments are required. The present study aimed, for the first time, to determine the breeding system of the economically important canopy trees,Parkia speciosaandP. timoriana, and to identify their pollinators. Pollination experiments carried out in Trang and Songkhla Provinces, in 28 trees ofP. speciosaand fourP. timorianaindicated that they are self incompatible. Open pollination resulted in the highest fruit set (average 60–67% of inflorescences per tree) although this was not significantly different from hand-crossed pollination (48–60%). Insect pollination resulted in fruit set in only 12% ofP. speciosainflorescences. Fruit bats, mainlyEonycteris spelaea, visit flowering plants continuously from dusk till after midnight. Nocturnal and diurnal insects (moths and stingless bees respectively) visit capitula, mostly at the nectar zone. Nectarivorous bats are the most effective pollinator forP. speciosaandP. timoriana. The fact that populations ofE. spelaeaappear to be declining throughout their distribution is therefore a matter of increasing concern.

Background/Aim. Conization is an excisive technique used for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. If conizate margins do not show any pathologic changes (negative findings) it is also the only therapeutic measure which should be applied. In case of conizate margins affected by the disease (positive findings), it is necessary not only to assess various parameters but also to decide on a further therapeutic approach. The aim of this study was to determine the incidence of positive findings and its impact on a further optimal therapeutic approach choice. Methods. The data for analyses were retrospectively acquired through an insight into the medical records of the female patients who had undergone conization in the Institute for Gynecology and Obstetrics, Clinical Center of Serbia, within a period from 1995 to 2000. Histopathologic analyses of the bioptic and cervical conizate and reconizate samples were performed in the same institute. The acquired data were analyzed and statistically processed. Results. Within the above mentioned period, a total of 823 conizations were done. In 76 patients, positive findings were determined. The acquired data analysis revealed positive findings decrease during this period, yet with no statistical significance. Higher statistically significant incidence of positive findings, however, was revealed in the patients over 40 years of age. Also, a statistically significantly higher incidence of positive findings was revealed in the apex as compared with other localizations. During the period observed, there was the raise of the number of patients only followed up after the conization without reconization. Also evident was decreasing in the number of histerectomies followed by increasing in the number of reconizations, as the method for reintervention. The most common cause of histerectomy was the apex positive findings with no statistical significance, while of reconization it was positive finding on lateral conizate margins with statistical significance. The association of the apical conizate positive finding with that in the curettements in all the cases was in correlation with positive findings at reintervention. Conclusion. According to the results obtained by analyzing and statistical processing of the acquired data, it could be concluded that reconization does represent a more suitable reintervention in patients with positive conizate findings as compared to histerectomy.

Compared to the 29 other members of OECD, Canadian workers must satisfy themselves with a rather timorous public pension system, particularly those who earn a middle or higher income. This weakness is somewhat corrected by private pension organizations, but only a third of employees are covered by them. The author proposes that all workers have access to such programs and even that they are mandatory. There would be many of them; they would function on the basis of capitalization; they would be public or private. The choice of the capitalization financial principle is almost essential, due to future population aging. The author displays his convictions about these proposals, as well as practical ways to implement such a program.

Parkia roxburghii G.Don seeds have popular folkloric ethnomedicinal use in the treatment of many diseases especially in Indonesia. Methanol, distilled water, n-hexane, and ethyl acetate extracts from the seeds of Parkia roxburghii were assayed for secondary metabolism quantitative, antioxidant, antidiabetic and antibacterial and activities as well as determined the presence of phytochemical constituents. The extracts were investigated for antioxidant possession by DPPH free-radical (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and ABTS (2,2’ Azinobis (3-ethylbenz-thiazoline-6-sulfonic-acid) scavenging ability, Antidiabetic potential was invitro assayed by α-amylase inhibition and α-glucosyde inhibition while antibacterially by applying the disk diffusion procedure, as well as refined for the attendance of bioavailable phytochemical components. The result showed the existence of phytochemical components in diverse extracts could attribution free scavenging, antidiabetic and antimicrobial activities. The qualitative results all extracts of Parkia roxburghii seeds have expressed the presence of alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid, terpenoids, saponins and tannin whereas, methanol, distilled water, and n-hexane extracts expressed the presence of anthraquinones, The entire phenolic contents were examined as attested by the Follin-Ciocalteu methods, which varied from 43.82 - 137.42 mg GAE/g. The entire flavonoid compounds were measured with aluminum chloride colorimetric procedure, which varied from 20.42 – 45.90 mg QEDW/g. The total phenolic compound were measure Follin Ciocalteu which varied from 43.82-137.42 mg/g. The alkaloid, saponin, tanic acid, terpenoid and cardiac glycoside quantitative were measured with spectrofotometri UV-VIS which varied from 16.34 – 48.90 mg for alkaloid. The Saponin content varied 1.76 – 16.04 mg/g. Tanic acid which varied 0.21 – 7.29 mg/g. Terpenoid which varied 50.12 – 91.02 mg/g. Cardiac glycoside which varied 7.24-36.53 mg/g. The potential antioxidant were measured with ABTS and DPPH method, the methanol extract is the potential antioxidant. Antidiabetic potential were measured with alfa amylase and alfa glucosyde inhibition, the best antidiabetic is methanol extract. The potential antibacterial and antifungal was the methanol extract for Eschericia Coli and Candida Albicans. The conclusion established the tremendous perspective of the Parkia roxburghii seeds as another option fountain of food supplement, as well as drug components.

Анотація:

Seeds of Parkia tiamoriana show both intra specific and inter specific variation in seed weight. A research was carried out to study the effect of seed mass on germination and early growth parameters of the species. Mature seeds were collected from Sakawrtuchung provenance of Mizoram (India). They were then bulked and grouped into 3 categories as light (lwt), intermediate (mwt) and heavy (hwt), using a predetermines weight method. The grouped seeds are then sown using 1mm sieved garden soil as a medium in poly bags. After germination and from the two leave stage we start counting the seedling length, collar diameter, dry weight, etc., at every 15 days interval and up to 90th day, by using destructive method. Study on the germination and seedling growth parameters conclude that except in mean germination time (MGT) and germination index (GI), all the other parameters are positively correlated with increasing weight. Relative growth rate (RGR) and average growth rate (AGR) that use seedling dry weight also showed a positive relation with seed weight. Apart from this, the distribution pattern of seed weights as calculated from the frequency distribution of 255 seeds did not show lognormal distribution (K-S test: P<0.05, d = 0.163, n = 255). Seed weight (n=255) varied from 0.39g to 0.81g (mean: 0.61g ± 0.01g). Among the weight class, mid weight (0.5 to 0.69g) seeds made up 56.47% of the total population followed by heavy weight (23.14%) and then by light weight (20.39%).

Quando se pensa as histórias dos povos colonizados submetidos aos conhecimentos hierarquizados e a sua relação com a escola, podemos apontar várias consequências: a naturalização dos problemas encontrados como “não problemas”, a transnacionalização de currículos, a não problematização da realidade, a violência epistêmica, a subalternização dos povos, entre outros. É preciso pronunciar o mundo para que este volte problematizado, diz Paulo Freire (2005). Este trabalho analisa conhecimentos produzidos por professores formadores da educação básica em dispositivo de formação-ação-investigação, no Observatório Etnoformador em Timor-Leste. Pretendemos refletir até que ponto os saberes e práticas tradicionais podem contribuir para diferentes leituras e interpretações na perspectiva da educação timoriana. A análise mostra a natureza contextual do conhecimento, a importância e alcance das interpretações e compreensões dos sujeitos sociais e culturais.

Within the span of only a few months in 1999, the United Nations was faced with one of the greatest challenges in its recent history: to serve as an interim government in Kosovo and East Timor.In Kosovo, in response to massive attacks on the Kosovar Albanian population, including orchestrated and wide-scale “ethnic cleansing,” the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) conducted an eleven-week air campaign against Yugoslav and Serbian security forces and paramilitary groups. The campaign resulted in the agreement of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia to withdraw all Yugoslav and Serbian security forces from the territory. On June 10,1999, one day after the suspension of NATO’s air strikes, the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 1244 (1999), establishing the United Nations Interim Administration in Kosovo (UNMIK).

Анотація:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur dan komposisi jenis tumbuhan berkayu pada kawasan hutan dataran rendah Cagar Alam Pegunungan Wondiwoi. Metode yang gunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik survei dan observasi lapang melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi struktur dan komposisi tumbuhan berkayu dengan menggunakan teknik jalur berpetak lanjut. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 260 jenis tumbuhan berkayu yang terdiri dari 57 famili. Pada fase semai terdapat 168 jenis terdiri dari 52 famili, pancang 172 jenis terdiri dari 51 famili, tiang 138 jenis terdiri dari 39 famili dan pohon 136 jenis terdiri dari 39 famili. Pada fase semai didominasi oleh jenis Pometia pinnata dengan INP 11,247%, fase pancang didominasi oleh jenis Pometia pinnata dengan INP 9,727%, fase tiang didominan oleh jenis Litsea timoriana dengan INP 14,603% dan fase pohon didominasi oleh jenis Pometia pinnata dengan INP 20,248%.

Анотація:

The study utilized drama-infused lessons in English language classes as a tool to develop the speaking skills of adult ESL learners in Mongolia. The descriptive-developmental method was utilized in this study, which went through the process of development, infusion, and try-out of drama-infused language lessons to develop the speaking skills in English of adult ESL learners. The development of the participants’ speaking skills as they went through the lessons as described. It was discovered that drama-infused ESL lessons effectively develop the speaking skills of learners. It made them more confident when it comes to speaking in front of the class and expressing themselves in English. Hence, the drama-infused ESL lessons helped develop self-confidence and fostered active participation inside the ESL classroom. Drama-infused activities also provided an ideal opportunity for timorous learners to overcome their inhibitions; it sturdily guided inactive learners to some awareness of others' feelings and led to the more creative use of the English language in speaking.

Three regions of chloroplast DNA are assessed for their utility for phylogenetic analysis of Acacia subgenus Phyllodineae: psbA–trnH intergenic spacer, the trnL intron and the trnL–trnF intergenic spacer. There are large differences in the lengths of the psbA–trnH spacer (155–440 bp) and trnL–trnF intergenic spacer (101–422 bp) regions, and large multi-residue indels were coded as multistate characters. Overall information content in these regions is relatively low, but the total evidence tree has 12 nodes resolved, five with jackknife support. By using Parkia timoriana as the outgroup, Acacia subgenus Acacia (A. farnesiana) is basal and Acacia subgenus Aculeiferum (A. senegal) is the sister taxon to subgenus Phyllodineae. Although based on a small sample size, within subgenus Phyllodineae, the results of this study have shown that section Alatae is not monophyletic, section Lycopodiifoliae is monophyletic and Botrycephalae is related to members of section Phyllodineae with racemose inflorescences.

The purpose of this study was to preliminary investigate the extraction condition and composition of purified pectin from pulp in pods of Riang (Parkia timoriana (DC.) Merr.), a native tree in southern Thailand. Dry pulp of Riang was extracted using water or citric solvent at different concentrations under the same condition (90 ℃ for 2 h). It was found that the highest yield of pectin (21.6 % dry basis) was obtained by hot water extraction with an esterification degree of 48.3 %. It mainly contained 62.3 % galacturonic acid, followed by 18.5 % total sugar. The monosaccharides found in pectin were arabinose (2.6 %), galactose (2.3 %), glucose (1.5 %), mannose (0.5 %), fructose (0.5 %) and xylose (0.1 %). The finding pectin had a high average molecular weight of 2,070 KDa with a broad polydispersity index of 4.31, determined by high performance size exclusion chromatography (HPSEC) and it was classified as low methoxyl pectin confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and rheological properties. HIGHLIGHTS Pectin from Riang pulp was low methoxyl pectin This pectin was water extractable and showed a high yield of 21.6 % (dry basis) It had high molecular weight with broad polydispersity index. Subsequent issues featured both an attack on the form from Paul Ableman, and a vigorous defence from its leading practitioner, Jeremy Sandford, author of the seminalCathy Come Home(1966). As this article bears witness, the debate still rages, and here its leading historian, Derek Paget – author ofTrue Stories: Documentary Drama on Radio, Stage, and Television(Manchester University Press, 1990) – explores some of the ways in which myth has contributed as much as analysis to the argument. He goes back to contemporary documentation to explore the nature of the BBC's own sometimes timorous attitude to the creature it had spawned, its context within the developing aesthetics and technology of television drama, the reactions of politicians and local government agencies – and the way in which repeat transmissions were (and were not) hedged about with paranoia.

The chemoinfusions (310) were carried out in celiac trunk in 167 patients with non-removed pancreas cancer at the period from 2000 to 2015. Locally advanced timorous process (stage III, n=79) was revealed in 79 patients and liver metastases (stage IV, n=88) were noted in 88 cases. The celiac axis infusion by Gemcitabine (1000 mg/m²) was applied for patients and GEMOX (Gemcitabine+Oxaliplatin 75 mg/m²) has been using since 2012. Symptomatic improvement such as decrease of pain, growth of body weight was noted in majority of patients. An average lifetime, median and one-year survival consisted of 7,6 months, 5,8 months and 10%. The patients (133) were treated by 1-2 cycles and after that by course of total body chemotherapeutics. There weren’t any serious complications. Toxic manifestations of chemotherapy weren’t higher than I-II degree and they were arrested by corrective therapy in 92 patients (55%). The celiac axis infusion is safe in patients with locally advanced and inoperable pancreas cancer. Symptomatic improvement showed the most patients. The objective response to the treatment had 20% patients and performance of repeated cycles led to increase of their survival.

Анотація:

The present study was undertaken to analyze the impact of germination (NBG) and hydrothermal cooking (NBHTC) on the nutritional profile and physicochemical, functional and microstructural properties of Nitta bean (Parkia timoriana) (NBR) seeds. Results demonstrated that the highest crude protein and fat content could be found in NBG and NBHTC, whereas the ash content was significantly higher in NBG. Compared to NBHTC and NBR, NBG has higher emulsion capacity and stability, with values determined to be 58.33 ± 1.67 and 63.89 ± 2.67, respectively. In addition, the highest color intensity was also reported for NBG, followed by NBHTC and NBR. Likewise, NBG showed complete gel formation at a lower concentration (12 g/100 mL) than NBR flour (18 g/100 mL). Furthermore, structural changes in the lipid, protein, and carbohydrate molecules of NBG and NBHTC were evidenced by FTIR studies. Morphological changes were noticed in different samples during microscopic observations subjected to germination and hydrothermal treatment. In contrast to NBR and NBHTC, NBG showed the highest total polyphenol content, ORAC antioxidant, and DPPH radical scavenging activity, which demonstrated the potential utilization of Nitta bean flour as a natural plant-based protein source in food security product formulations.

For the last few years, roads and motorways projects have been developing in Algeria, where the risk management remains timorous. Indeed, these projects exhibit many geotechnical disorders of natural or anthropic origin, which disturb their progress. Furthermore, the latent effects of these disorders can affect the life of the works as well as the safety and comfort of the users. Therefore, this paper addresses the use of the MADS-MOSAR method as a risk assessment method that can be used in the construction area to consider a wide range of risk sources including non-geotechnical ones. This method, which is widely used in industry, is tentatively used to identify the causes and consequences of undesired geotechnical events in the case of the main slip road “A” at the exchange of the RN02 road in Tlemcen, Algeria. The choice of this method implies first a system modelling approach and a functional analysis to inventory all possible sources of danger and all possible interactions and to perform a global risk assessment. At the end, we show the relevance of this method in the field of geotechnical risk management for road projects.

Angiomyolipomas are relatively frequent tumors of the kidney. It is believed that about 10 million people worldwide have such a tumor. About 1/10 of these 10 million are patients who suffer from tuberous sclerosis. The tumors are frequently bilateral, slow growing, and usually a symptomatic, as well as being rare in children. Due to the benign nature of angiomyolipomas, surgical treatment and embolisation of the tumors are generally not recommended, unless renal function is endangered, the symptoms are severe, or the kidney in question becomes completely dysfunctional. This is particularly the case in patients with tuberous sclerosis in whom these tumors are either already bilateral or may become so. We present a 24-year-old woman with tuberous sclerosis in whom bilateral kidney tumors were diagnosed 7 years earlier and in whom we carried out a left nephrectomy of a 5300 gram angiomyolipoma, which caused pain and complete loss of function. Although timorous, the right kidney was functional, so it was left untouched. After an uneventful recovery, a close follow-up was recommended, as well as HLA typing, as it is highly probable that the right kidney will gradually become inadequate or completely dysfunctional, so that haemodialysis and/or kidney transplantation along with nephrectomy will become necessary.

AbstractThe Belgian symbolist painter, Henry De Groux (1866-1930), produced in his life one masterwork, Christ aux Outrages (1888-1889), a vast painting (293-363 cm.) which both embodies his own tormented nature and that of many similarly unsettled fin de siècle Catholics in that age of Positivism, secularization, European sabre rattling, and anarchism. Following its success in the Salon Triennal in Brussels, Henry De Groux, financed by King Leopold II of the Belgians, brought his painting to Paris in 1890 where it was exhibited in the Salon des Arts Liberaux, after being rejected by the salon jury. The image of a timorous, bound, and defenseless Christ and a savagely screaming mob of women, dogs, and children repelled faint-hearted academically-minded critics concerned with religious art and moved the ardent and orthodox. While these writers of religious orientation had their own reasons for praise and blame, this research considers the connection between the painting and the dominant concern among socialists such as Gustave Le Bon in Le Psychologie des Foules (1895) and novelists such as Emile Zola in Germinal and other of his novel for "Crowd Theory." It is the fearful and irrepressible crowd attacking Christ, it is argued, that gave Christ aux Outrages its peculiar significance in fin de siècle Paris.

Анотація:

A case of epithelial tissue tumors on the body of two adult Brown meagres (Sciaena umbra Linnaeus, 1758) is reported. Brown Meagre population of 20.000 was imported to sea cages on September of 2003 at 3g, to check the potential use of this species as a new candidate in Mediterranean aquaculture. The population had been kept for 8 years to serve as a genetic pool for further zootechnical investigation. The main pathology observed after 8 years in the sea cages were mainly ocular lesions (cataract) possibly due to natural aging and/or long culture period under high natural light intensity (UV radiation) and/or net injuries at a percentage of 1,32% of total cultured population. Apart from that, on two fish, reddish- white tumorous growths were evident on skin, macroscopically. Histologically, the timorous growths were diagnosed as Squamous cell carcinoma. Numerous rounded pearls and nests of epidermal proliferated cells were evident, some of which had a non-cellular center. There were also foci of necrosis and irregular deposits of keratin within the tumor tissue. Special stains (Ayoub-Shklar, Haematoxylin-Eosin & Schiff’s Periodic Acid) were applied to the tissue for comparison. To our knowledge this is the first presented report of SCC in this species.

Анотація:

Fourteen species of brachiopods were collected from two measured sections on Khios, and although the sections are only about 4 km apart, they contain but one genus in common. Both collections are from the zone of Neoschwagerina, but the collection from the hill called Seladha is probably somewhat younger than the collection from the region called Agrelias, because it is accompanied by the first appearance of the fusulinid Verbeekina. The brachiopods at Agrelias are: Kotlaia aethopa n. gen. and sp., Schuchertella tapina n. sp., Derbyia dirata n. sp., Meekella megala n. sp., Seseloidia phlebodes n. gen. and sp., Tschernyschewia sp. indet., Marginifera ganota n. sp., Entacanthadus chioticus n. gen. and sp., Horridonia sp. A., and Linoproductus cf. L. lineatus Waagen. The fauna at Seladha contains: Linoproductus cf. L. lineatus, Composita sp. indet., Squamularia sp. indet., Hustedia sp. indet., and Timorina sp. indet. Both faunas are dated as middle Permian, Kungurian, perhaps equivalent to the lower and upper parts of the Wordian of North America. The type species of Kotlaia is K. capillosa n. sp. from the Permian of the Salt Range, Pakistan, and a new genus of hercosiid (Sicularia) from the Permian of Sicily is introduced for nomenclatural reasons, with type species Richthofenia sicula Gemmellaro.

Анотація:

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Timoro Kecamatan Tabulahan Kabupaten Mamasa yang dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Juli 2019. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan penggunaan pupuk hayati Bioboost dan interval pemberian terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun. Metode rancangan yang digunakan pada pelaksanaan penelitian ini dalam bentuk Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan pola Rancangan Petak Terpisah (RPT). Petak Utama perlakuan interval waktu pemberian pupuk hayati Bioboost (W) meliputi dua taraf yaitu : W1 = Pemberian Pupuk hayati Bioboost dua minggu sekali W2 = Pemberian Pupuk hayati Bioboost tiga minggu sekali Sedangkan Anak Petak (AP) adalah dosis pupuk hayati Bioboost (F) terdiri dari tiga taraf yaitu : F0 = tanpa pemberian Pupuk hayati Bioboost F1 = dosis Pupuk hayati Bioboost 20 ml + 1000 ml air. F2 = dosis Pupuk hayati Bioboost 40 ml + 1000 ml air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Interaksi interval waktu pemberian dengan dosis pupuk hayati bioboost (Z x F) tidak memberikan pengaruh pada pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun pada semua parameter.
