Legimus is an online library owned by the Myndigheten för tillgängliga medier. Myndigheten för tillgängliga medier provides people with dif-ferent circumstances the access to public literature and information. Legimus is a tool that enables people with reading difficulties to access literature. Legimus has a website where users can read the literature. As an important concept in the interaction between man and computer, the usability and user-friendliness of the website affects the visitor's ex-perience. Because of this, this work focuses on the user-friendliness of the Legimus website. The purpose of this work is to do a case study on what makes Legimus user-friendly and to focus on the selected target group to find out diffi-culties and what they expect from the use of the selected website. The chosen question is as follows: Has Legimus succeeded in attracting its priority target group of the students at Dalarna University with the web-site's design and user-friendliness. To carry out this work, a qualitative method has been chosen where stu-dents at Dalarna University are interviewed, after which the results are analysed with the help of four themes into which the interview ques-tions are divided. The results show that the respondents had different views on user-friendliness. Some respondents considered the website to be unclear at first, but over time learned to use the website. Most of the respondents considered the website to be simple and clear. The respondents were given the opportunity to express their own views regarding the website. There, most respondents had suggestions for improvements to the de-sign of the website. The conclusion drawn is not that the respondents found the website's design attractive. The respondents considered that they had used the website even if the design was worse given the need for Legimus webpage. Most of the users considered the website to be user-friendly, but to ensure my conclusion, the interview ended with the question of whether the respondents considered the website to be user-friendly. All the respondents considered it to be user-friendly, which strengthens my conclusion.

Purpose: Corporations experience difficulties positioning themselves on the web as a result of not developing their websites in a way that is inline with their overall business strategy. The purpose of this study is to explore how corporations should apply design strategy, based on a user-centered design perspective, to support their overall business strategy on the web. Originality/value: This study has identified a knowledge gap in terms of how corporations define and apply design strategy in order to support their overall business strategy on the web. Methodology: This study aims to research the application of design strategy by creating a prototype through the use of a user-centered design process. This was done by interviewing experts as well as evaluating websites, in order to explore the domain of a car manufacturers retailers, which was based on the corresponding strategy of leading the visitor to the car manufacturers offerings that are represented by the retailers and their websites. This data collection was the foundation in the creation of a persona and context scenarios that was translated into identified needs that represented the products design strategy. The design strategy in turn was the foundation for the creating phase of the user-centered design process, where iterative design lead to refining framework sketches and an interactive prototype. Findings and conclusion: The study which resulted in an interactive prototype shows that user-centered design, which applies design strategy by defining the corporations and the users goals and needs, is an alternative that allows for structured refinement to the point that the website fulfills its design strategy. The results also show that depending on how well the domain exploration is executed as well as how well the design strategy is defined will affect the resulting website and to what extent it fulfills its purpose, whether it’s is still a prototype or if it’s the end result.

Inom webbdesign behövs det mer förståelse hur den visuella designen påverkar användarens upplevelse av trovärdighet. Forskning har visat att den estetiska biten inom webbdesign har en större betydelse än man tidigare tro och a det därför behövs mer kunskap inom dea område. Därför har den här studiens syfte varit a undersöka just hur en webbsidas visuella design påverkar användarens upplevelse av trovärdighet. Dea för a skapa en förståelse över vilka delar av det visuella som påverkar användaren mer eller mindre. Den här studien utgick från Research model (Figur 1) av Faisal et al. (2017), som var ett resultat av en studie som handlade om a undersöka faktorer som påverkade förtroende, tillfredsställelse och lojalitet hos användarna. Modellen modifierades och kompletterades med ytterligare faktorer som ansågs viktiga utifrån vad som kom fram gällande trovärdighet ur tidigare forskning. Som försök för a fånga användarnas verkliga trovärdighetsuppfaning studerades två olika bostadsförmedlingswebbsidor där en grund till trovärdighet ansågs vara förutfaad. För a fånga tänkbara situationer skapades användartest med passande scenarion som datainsamling för a få den flexibilitet som krävdes för a fånga användarnas känslor och upplevelser. Analysen visade a den visuella designen framkallar känslor som frustration och a webbsidor kan uppfaas röriga på grund av den visuella designen, men att interaktionen och innehållet var de viktigaste faktorerna där båda bostadsförmedlarna lyckades mindre bra. Även om fynden visade a just dessa två webbsidor kan förbära sin visuella design inom dessa delar - så visade denna studie, som även tidigare forskning visat, a faktorerna på e sä hör ihop och påverkar varandra. Därför är det till fördel a använda sig av den framtagna modellen som grund för a undvika a gå miste om viktiga delar vid skapandet/granskandet av en webbsida som kan påverka användarens upplevelse av trovärdighet.

It has become increasingly common that we now use our mobile devices to visit the web. This thesis examines the central design principles a designer should strive for when it is intended to simplify the use of a website in a static and variable situation trough a mobile device. The thesis includes a literature review, interviews on two occasions and a prototype development. The first interviews identified the fundamental design principles which then became the basis for the prototype. The second interviews were conducted towards the prototype with the same individuals. It examined if the fundamental design principles simplified the use of a website trough the mobile device. A comparison of the two interviews was conducted to compile the central design principles.
