ABSTRACTDecision support systems—collections of related information located in a central place to be used for decision-making—can be used as platforms from which climate information can be shared with decision-makers. Unfortunately, these tools are not often evaluated, meaning developers do not know how useful or usable their products are. In this study, a web-based climate decision support system (DSS) for foresters in the southeastern United States was evaluated by using eye-tracking technology. The initial study design was exploratory and focused on assessing usability concerns within the website. Results showed differences between male and female forestry experts in their eye-tracking behavior and in their success with completing tasks and answering questions related to the climate information presented in the DSS. A follow-up study, using undergraduate students from a large university in the southeastern United States, aimed to determine whether similar gender differences existed and could be detected and, if so, whether the cause(s) could be determined. The second evaluation, similar to the first, showed that males and females focused their attention on different aspects of the website; males focused more on the maps depicting climate information while females focused more on other aspects of the website (e.g., text, search bars, and color bars). DSS developers should consider the possibility of gender differences when designing a web-based DSS and include website features that draw user attention to important DSS elements to effectively support various populations of users.

The instances of privacy and security have reached the point where they cannot be ignored. There has been a rise in data breaches and fraud, particularly in banks, healthcare, and government sectors. In today’s world, many organizations offer their security specialists bug report programs that help them find flaws in their applications. The breach of data on its own does not necessarily constitute a threat or attack. Cyber-attacks allow cyberpunks to gain access to machines and networks and steal financial data and esoteric information as a result of a data breach. In this context, this paper proposes an innovative approach to help users to avoid online subterfuge by implementing a Dynamic Phishing Safeguard System (DPSS) using neural boost phishing protection algorithm that focuses on phishing, fraud, and optimizes the problem of data breaches. Dynamic phishing safeguard utilizes 30 different features to predict whether or not a website is a phishing website. In addition, the neural boost phishing protection algorithm uses an Anti-Phishing Neural Algorithm (APNA) and an Anti-Phishing Boosting Algorithm (APBA) to generate output that is mapped to various other components, such as IP finder, geolocation, and location mapper, in order to pinpoint the location of vulnerable sites that the user can view, which makes the system more secure. The system also offers a website blocker, and a tracker auditor to give the user the authority to control the system. Based on the results, the anti-phishing neural algorithm achieved an accuracy level of 97.10%, while the anti-phishing boosting algorithm yielded 97.82%. According to the evaluation results, dynamic phishing safeguard systems tend to perform better than other models in terms of uniform resource locator detection and security.

This article reviews methods to the development of a decision support system (DSS) solution for small business owners/managers. The main objective of designing the DSS artefact is to support the strategic decision-making for achieving competitive advantages in the business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce environment. Many researchers in the DSS domain utilised various methods to design of information systems (IS) artefact, mostly intended for large businesses. Researchers have paid much attention to the business environment as a knowledge source for DSS design and development for the small business strategic decision support needs. User-centred design (UCD) principles were adopted for DSS development. Prior a novel DSS development, multiple case studies were carried out for understanding the user needs and system requirements. Also, knowledge was sourced from the external business environment via the analysis of small business website features against their overseas competitors. The findings suggested developing a DSS solution for small business needs.

Kelurahan Manggar adalah instansi yang menyediakan berbagai layanan maupun pengaduan masyarakat khususnya daerah Manggar Balikpapan Timur. Untuk memperluas pelayanan Diskominfo bekerjasama dengan kelurahan untuk membangun aplikasi atau tepatnya website Yankel sebagai mediasi pelayanan yang bersifat online agar mempermudah masyarakat dalam mengajukan suatu permintaan pelayanan. Pentingnya layanan website Yankel untuk melakukan kegiatan operasional menjadikannya harus selalu dalam kondisi yang optimal, namun kurangnya tata kelola dalam penerapan teknologi informasi mengakibatkan kurang optimalnya Kelurahan Manggar dalam menjalankan tugas dan pencapaian tujuan, sehingga Yankel perlu dievaluasi agar dapat diukur apakah teknologi informasi yang diimplementasikan sudah sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Dalam melakukan audit ini maka akan digunakanlah framework COBIT 2019 dan domainnya adalah DSS (Deliver, Support and Service) untuk mengukur tingakat kapabilitasnya dan mengetahui apakah sistem sudah berjalan sesuai kebutuhan ataukah belum, lalu MEA (Monitoring, Evaluate and Assess) untuk mengetahui tingkat pengawasan dan evaluasi dari sistem pelayanan online Yankel.

Abstract According to data 2018-2021 on the status of the National Transportation Safety Committee, the largest percentage of ship accidents (29%) in Indonesia are caused by fire or exploded. The main purpose of this research is to design a website-based application that can be accessed by phone to support ship crews in preventing and handling fires on board using a decision support system method, where the website-based application itself is an application that can be run using web and browser technology bases of internet or intranet. In the preparation of the research, first, observations were made on the cargo of dangerous goods transported by the container ship (MV. Sinar Penida). A website-based application for fire prevention and handling system is designed after making a mock-up. Application design is done by making mock-ups, designing interfaces, creating databases, and coding the application system. The features have been equipped with an emergency muster list, fire handling based on the class of cause, and a cargo separation feature based on the ship’s bay plan using the Decision Support System (DSS) method or decision support system that can increase the effectiveness in decision making.

Purpose – The paper aims to evaluate the usability of the website of Central Science Library (CSL), University of Delhi. Multi-method approach of evaluation is used with the use of standard checklist and questionnaire survey of representative users. Besides, the information architecture of the website under study is analysed in this paper. Design/methodology/approach – Based on the literature review and the author’s experience, a usability assessment tool for library websites was developed by Pant (2013). It comprises standard checklist and questionnaire for users’ survey. In the present study, this framework was used to assess the usability of CSL website. The questionnaire survey of 35 representative users was conducted through random sampling. The results of both methods (standard checklist and questionnaire survey) were analysed for evaluating the website usability. Findings – Need for improvement of the website was realised in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and learnability for better usability. Notice board, site search facility, list of services, FAQs and user guides were the most sought after features among others as per the analysis of the questionnaire survey. Besides, the need to enhance the visual appeal of the website was felt. However, information resources provided through the CSL website were found useful for users. Originality/value – The paper presents an innovative multi-method approach of website usability assessment while considering six usability attributes: Usefulness, Efficiency, Effectiveness, Learnability, Satisfaction and Accessibility. The approach adopted in this paper is cost effective in comparison to formal usability tests and heuristic evaluation. Therefore, this framework is suitable for libraries having limited budget to ensure the user-centred library website with maximum usability. This paper encourages other libraries to conduct similar website usability evaluation to identify the usability problem areas and users’ perception for their respective website.

Phishing is a common attack on credulous people by making them disclose their unique information. It is a type of cyber-crime where false sites allure exploited people to give delicate data. This paper deals with methods for detecting phishing websites by analyzing various features of URLs by Machine learning techniques. This experimentation discusses the methods used for detection of phishing websites based on lexical features, host properties and page importance properties. We consider various data mining algorithms for evaluation of the features in order to get a better understanding of the structure of URLs that spread phishing. To protect end users from visiting these sites, we can try to identify the phishing URLs by analyzing their lexical and host-based features.A particular challenge in this domain is that criminals are constantly making new strategies to counter our defense measures. To succeed in this contest, we need Machine Learning algorithms that continually adapt to new examples and features of phishing URLs.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the influence of the key features of agritourism companies' websites on customers purchasing decision-making process, by measuring the level of perceived relevance and satisfaction of customers about the website's features. Empirical research was conducted based on a four-stage website adoption model, adapted from previous literature. A web-based questionnaire was addressed to a sample of Italian tourists who experienced a stay at an agritourism after selecting it through the website. By combining the perceived satisfaction and importance attributed to a series of website features, the priorities to take into account to design a website and to establish its main on-line services have been identified. In order to identify which variables have more influence in defining the overall evaluation of a website, a regression analysis was conducted. This study provides useful guidance on the main features of a website on which investments for improvement may be addressed, and which on-line services should be activated.

Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are chronic relapsing disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Several mouse models for IBD are available, but the acute dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis model is mostly used for preclinical studies. However, this model lacks chronicity and often leads to significant loss of mice. The aim of this study was to establish a refined and translationally relevant model of DSS chronic colitis in BALB/c mice. In the first part, we compared several standard therapeutic (ST) treatments for IBD in the acute DSS colitis model to identify the optimal treatment control for a DSS colitis model as compared to literature data. In the second part, we tested the two most effective ST treatments in a refined model of chronic DSS colitis. Cyclosporine A (CsA) and 6-thioguanine (6-TG) caused considerable reduction of clinical scores in acute DSS colitis. The clinical outcome was confirmed by the results for colon length and by histopathological evaluation. Moreover, CsA and 6-TG considerably reduced mRNA expression of several pro-inflammatory cytokines in spleen and colon. Both compounds also showed a substantial therapeutic effect in the refined model of chronic DSS colitis with regard to clinical scores and histopathology as well as the expression of inflammatory markers. The refined model of chronic DSS colitis reflects important features of IBD and is well suited to test potential IBD therapeutics.

Abstract Objective – When the Harold B. Lee Library (HBLL) at Brigham Young University released a new website with same-look capabilities for computers, tablets, and smartphones, we undertook a summative assessment to review website features and to determine baseline measures of website access via device and patron group. Methods – The study used a mixed methods approach using three levels of assessment (focus groups, an online survey, and a usability test), with each level informing the subsequent level. Results – The website changes were well-received by the overwhelming majority of patrons. Device usage was associated with the type of task for which patrons were accessing the website. Computers were used primarily for research-related tasks (e.g., accessing journals, databases, and the main search bar). Smartphones were used primarily for on-the-go tasks (e.g., accessing personal accounts, finding library hours, and reserving group study rooms). Tablets fell between these two. Several website services were identified as being underused. Study results were moderated by time of release (i.e., only half of survey participants had viewed the new website) and access to device (i.e., many patrons did not have access to a tablet or a smartphone). Conclusions – The summative assessment of the HBLL’s new website was well-received and viewed as a positive change. While most patrons were initially unaware of the same-look feature across devices, this was considered to be a positive change. As devices become more accessible for patrons, it is believed that website access by device will change. A follow-up study is planned to assess any changes in use patterns or use of access devices.

SCLEAN (Smart Cleaning) is a mobile device made to connect laundry with laundry service users. Mobile SCLEAN devices are also designed with two sides, namely from the side of the laundry service user using the mobile version and from the laundry service provider side using the Website version. The laundry admin website is a very important component in connecting laundry and laundry service users. Researchers want to conduct research that aims to evaluate the performance of the SClean laundry partner admin website and are expected to provide suggestions that are used as a reference for the improvement and development of the SClean laundry partner website by NuCom. By using the System Usability Scale method, it shows that the evaluation results have a score of 59, the value is included in the marginal category in grade D with an OK rating and website improvement recommendations for improving service features on the website and optimizing performance on the website.

Abstract. A new web-based and mobile decision support system (DSS) for search-and-rescue (SAR) at sea is presented, and its performance is evaluated using real case scenarios. The system, named OCEAN-SAR, is accessible via the website http://www.ocean-sar.com. In addition to the website, dedicated applications for iOS and Android have been created to optimise the user experience on mobile devices. OCEAN-SAR simulates drifting objects at sea, using as input ocean currents and wind data provided, respectively, by the CMEMS and ECMWF. The modelling of the drifting objects is based on the leeway model, which parameterises the wind drag of an object using a series of coefficients. These coefficients have been measured in field experiments for different types of objects, ranging from a person in the water to a coastal freighter adrift. OCEAN-SAR provides the user with an intuitive interface to run simulations and to visualise their results using Google Maps. The performance of the service is evaluated by comparing simulations to data from the Italian Coast Guard pertaining to actual incidents in the Mediterranean Sea.

Health information on the Internet is popular for both adults and adolescents. Providing this information in an enjoyable manner during school may provide an alternative to teacher-led education. However, there are advantages and disadvantages of ‘edutainment'. The objective of this study was to explore these advantages and disadvantages of a health-related website which incorporated games and interactive features from the adolescents' perspective. Most features received favorable evaluations, with the exception of one in particular using an interactive map. Social interaction with ratings and scores were seen as too competitive by some.

The library website is a task-oriented webpage(s) that requires regular evaluation. However, analyzing the content and aesthetic qualities of a library website is an essential ingredient for its usability testing. Hence, this study evaluated the content qualities and aesthetic features of university library websites in Southwest Nigeria. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design. The unit of analysis comprises undergraduate students from the six selected universities in southwest Nigeria, and their population stood at 99, 939. The study used a simple random sampling technique to select its samples and the sample size for the study is 398. A checklist and questionnaire were used as instruments for data collection. Collected data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (IBM-SPSS) version 21. The result of findings indicated that premium is placed more on aesthetic features than content quality and none of the understudy library websites has features for Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), list of the new arrivals and space for advert placement. Based on the study analysis, the Kenneth Dike Library website of the University of Ibadan and Covenant University Resource Centre is better in terms of content quality than other university library websites in Southwest Nigeria. Library websites were found to be useful and yet not optimally utilized by the users due to the absence of some content and aesthetic features that tend to improve the usability of the library website. Consequently, the university library needs to prioritize its presence online and as well add features that will engage and elicit feedback from users. They also need to publicize among the users the use of library websites as veritable sources of scholarly information and communication.

Nowadays, the tourists increasingly prefer to plan their travels using online search engines, to the detriment of classical travel agencies. A well-designed and well-managed booking website can satisfy the tourists’ needs, whereas a less intuitive one can make them dissatisfied. The search engine developers cannot develop an effective and efficient booking website which satisfies the users’ needs, creates a favorable experience for them, and influences their intention to purchase, without understanding the users’ needs regarding the search engines attributes and features. This study applies a quantitative research, collects primary data, and investigates how booking websites can move from a basic to a sophisticated online presence. The aim of the analysis is to provide an insight regarding the tourists’ preferences and their interface needs, as well as the filters and the options that may help them find the most relevant results for the chosen destinations. The study develops a comprehensive performance evaluation model for booking websites using specific attributes and features of the tourism industry. This model includes usability and functionality dimensions that have been identified by analyzing six booking websites, three used at the international level (Booking, Priceline, and Hotwire) and three used only in Romania (Vola, Infoturism, and Carta), and correlated with the customers’ needs regarding booking websites and hotel website evaluation. The results are useful for booking website developers and can be used to adapt their user interfaces, making them far more user-friendly. Suggestions are made regarding how to improve the performance of booking websites and potential ways for future research are discussed.

Being convinced of the importance of online banking, as a new competitive advantage that every bank around the world is rushing to gain, the following research question motivated the authors to investigate; to what extent is any bank’s website is usable and beneficial to customers? This research is about evaluating Jordanian banks’ websites; we have followed one approach for evaluating these websites. This approach is evaluating our sample according to the WEBUSE model developed by Chiew and Salim (2003). The results of the evaluation process have indicated that the banks websites are nearly of close quality in their functional attributes or services the bank’s website offers, as well as in the user’s acceptance of other features adopted in the WEBUSE index. Finally, this research concludes that the chosen sample of Jordanian banks’ websites are of excellent to good quality or usability level.

Purpose The purpose of this study is twofold: it aims to examine hotel website features by conducting a content analysis and it analyses customers’ viewpoints about the importance of the contents of hotel websites. The study involves a quantitative method of measurement and evaluation of the information provided by hotel websites. It tries to evaluate the richness of definite and ample information dimensions, which as a whole constitutes the information services offered through the website. Design/methodology/approach The study is based on two pillars: all five-star hotel chains (113 hotels) in Egypt as the population frame to evaluate the contents of their websites; and a sample of 406 customers selected to examine the customers’ views on the importance of the contents of hotel websites. This study proposes a quantitative evaluation frame of all dimensions provided by hotel websites which is developed, tested and validated. Findings The study has revealed important findings that can help hotel managers to adjust the information on the websites to be more efficient and customer-oriented. Research limitations/implications Because of the chosen research approach, the research results may lack generalizability. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to test the proposed frame again in further studies. Practical implications The study includes implications for the development of hotel website evaluation from the perspective of two sides, hotel managers and customers, by using a unique quantitative evaluation model. Nowadays the communities are facing the problem of waste and wastewater. While wastewater systems have become more complex, the need for development of sustainable solution for wastewater management emerged. Therefore, the development of a Decision Support System (DSS) for wastewater disposal management became necessary. This paper presents a new DSS for predicting the failure of wastewater pumping stations, the system architecture and its implementation. The prediction model is based on the Case Based Reasoning (CBR) classification method. The standard CBR classification technique has been upgraded with an algorithm for continuous learning. The paper describes the system structure, its connection to the wastewater system, the internal processes involved in the prediction process and the implemented algorithm for continuous learning. Furthermore, the features used in the prediction are indicated along with the achieved results and the method of results evaluation. The test and obtained results indicate that the proposed DSS is efficient and capable of providing very good results in the prediction process.

Introduction: The significant usage of health websites and their roles as diagnostic and therapeutic tools have increased the importance of evaluating their credibility. Health websites are evaluated using the criteria introduced in the health guidelines; therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the adequacy of these criteria.Materials and Methods: In this critical review study, the guidelines for "Health Websites Evaluation" and "Website Evaluation in Other Subject Areas" were extracted using sensitive keywords from valid databases, classification, comparison and content analyses were performed using scientific methods designed in this study.Results: The results indicate that in terms of various components of health websites, the evaluation criteria are not adequate. Note that health website evaluation criteria are designed based on the evaluation criteria of other subject areas. Therefore, the criteria share problems similar to those of the guidelines for other subject areas, and they ignore the evaluation of the specific features of health websites. It is necessary to have reliable and accurate guidelines to evaluate health websites.Conclusion: One of the most significant advantages of these guidelines is that using software provides an infrastructure for the automatic evaluation of health websites. Thus, the evaluation results will be available to the general public in the form of a website ranking.

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry provides an appeal to waste banks to use online systems in managing waste bank activities. The online system referred to is the online waste management system through the banksampah.id account. However, the level of activity of garbage banks in using the online system is relatively low (36.46%). Besides, in 2019, the Bandung City DLH has used banksampah.id as an application in evaluating the performance of waste banks. Therefore, this study was conducted aiming to evaluate the level of usability of banksampah.id so that it can be known aspects of banksampah.id that need to be improved. Evaluation of usability level is carried out using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. The usability evaluation results show that there are 7 usability attributes in the "Concentrate Here" category, 10 usability attributes in the "Keep Up The Good Work" category, 8 usability attributes in the "Low Priority" category and 9 usability attributes in the "Possible Overkill" category. Improvements to usability banksampah.id focus on 7 attributes categorized as "Concentrate Here" namely (1) availability of procedures for the use of various applications, (2) procedures for using applications that have been available easily understood by users, (3) completeness of customer profile, (4) availability of up-to-date customer data, (5) speed in data processing, (6) availability of communication features between Garbage Banks, and (7) availability of communication features between Garbage Banks and collectors.

The paper discusses the features of building an interactive software system of the DSS «ESACP» (Expert Statistical Analysis of Competing Products of the same purpose). DSS is designed for automated expert and analytical assessment of competing products. The use of DSS makes it possible to improve the adequacy of the decisions made when choosing a particular product. In addition, solving this problem increases the ef ciency, reliability and objectivity of the choice. Structural and functional schemes of the traf c police have been developed. It is shown that the traf c police allows you to perform all stages of the expert-analytical assessment of competing products, from the preparation of two sets of questionnaires for sending to experts on the tasks of calculating the weight coef cients and complex quality indicators and ending with the issuance of traf c police protocols with the results ranked according to the degree of preferred use of the products in question. The demonstrated example of a re ned analysis of specific results of assessing the level of competing products allows us to draw conclusions not only about the preference of choosing one or another product, but also to indicate those indicators by which this product has an advantage over competitors or is inferior to them and to what extent.

Purpose: To conduct a qualitative evaluation of adjunct supports (brief motivational messaging regarding goals delivered by email/website, contact centre dietitian assistance) offered by EatRight Ontario (ERO) for users of a website-based nutrition/activity goal setting/tracking feature (eaTracker “My Goals”). Methods: One-on-one semi-structured interviews were conducted with My Goals users in Ontario (n = 18) and Alberta (n = 5) recruited via the eaTracker website and ERO contact centre dietitians (n = 5). Interview transcripts were analyzed using content analysis. Results: Participants had mixed experiences and perspectives with ERO motivational messaging. Messages targeted towards specific goals (e.g., tips, recipes) were generally well-liked, and generic messages (e.g., eaTracker login reminders) were less useful. No interviewed users had contacted ERO dietitians regarding goals, and dietitians reported encountering few callers asking for assistance while using My Goals. Limited user knowledge was one explanation for this finding. Participants provided suggestions to enhance these supports. Conclusion: Electronic motivational messaging and contact centre dietitian assistance have the potential to support achievement of goals set with website-based features. When considering using electronic messaging, researchers and practitioners should consider message content and delivery tailoring. Marketing that focuses on how contact centre dietitians can assist website users with their goals is needed when services are used in naturalistic settings.

Background e-Bug, an educational health website for teachers and students, aims to help control antibiotic resistance by educating young people about microbes, hygiene, and antibiotic resistance, reducing the incidence of infection and, therefore, the need for antibiotics. The teachers’ section of the e-Bug website has not been evaluated since it was launched in 2009, and worldwide page views have been steadily decreasing since 2013. Objective This study aimed to apply GoodWeb, a comprehensive framework utilizing methodologies and attributes that are relevant to the digital era, to evaluate and suggest improvements to the e-Bug website. Methods Electronic questionnaires and face-to-face completion of task scenarios were used to assess content, ease of use, interactivity, technical adequacy, appearance, effectiveness, efficiency, and learnability of the teachers’ section of the e-Bug website. Results A total of 106 teachers evaluated the e-Bug website; 97.1% (103/106) of them reported that they would use e-Bug, and 98.1% (104/106) of them reported that they would recommend it to others. Participants thought that there was a niche for e-Bug because of the way the resources fit into the national curriculum. Suggestions for improvements included changing the menu indication by highlighting the current page or deactivating links, improving home page indication, and providing a preview of resources when hovering the mouse over hyperlinks. Additional features requested by users included a search function and access to training opportunities. Conclusions This paper reports that the GoodWeb framework was successfully applied to evaluate the e-Bug website, and therefore, it could be used to guide future website evaluations in other fields. Results from this study will be used to appraise the current quality and inform any future changes, modifications, and additions to e-Bug.

Background Whiplash is a health and economic burden worldwide. Contributing to this burden is poor guideline adherence and variable management by health care professionals (HCPs). Web-based tools that facilitate clinical pathways of care are an innovative solution to improve management. Objective The study aimed to develop, implement, and evaluate a Web-based tool to support whiplash management following a robust process. Methods This study followed the first 3 processes of a research translation framework (idea generation, feasibility, and efficacy) to inform the development, implementation, and evaluation of a website that supports HCPs in whiplash management. Development followed the idea generation and feasibility processes to inform the content, design, features, and functionality of the website. This involved stakeholder (eg, industry partners, website developers, and HCPs) consultations through face-to-face meetings, surveys, and focus group discussions. Implementation followed the feasibility process to determine the practicality of the website for clinical use and the most effective strategy to promote wider uptake. Implementation strategies included classroom education, educational meetings, educational outreach, reminders, and direct phone contact. The analysis of website use and practicality of implementation involved collection of website metrics. Evaluation followed the feasibility and efficacy processes to investigate the acceptability and extent to which the website assisted HCPs in gaining knowledge about whiplash management. Surveys were conducted among student, primary, and specialist HCPs to explore ease of access, use, and satisfaction with the website, as well as self-rated improvements in knowledge of risk assessment, management, and communication between HCPs. Website logs of specialist management decisions (eg, shared care, specialist care, and referred care) were also obtained to determine actual practice. Results The development process delivered an interactive, user-friendly, and acceptable website, My Whiplash Navigator, tailored to the needs of HCPs. A total of 260 registrations were recorded from June 2016 to March 2018, including 175 student, 65 primary, and 20 specialist HCPs. The most effective implementation strategies were classroom education for students (81% uptake, 175/215) and educational meetings for primary HCPs (43% uptake, 47/110). Popular pages visited included advice and exercises and risk assessment. Most HCPs agreed that their knowledge about risk management (79/97, 81%) and exercises (85/97, 88%) improved. The specialists’ most common management decision was shared care, an improvement from a previous cohort. Areas to improve were navigation and access to outcome measures. Conclusions A robust process resulted in an innovative, interactive, user-friendly, and acceptable website, the My Whiplash Navigator. Implementation with HCPs was best achieved through classroom education and educational meetings. Evaluation of the website showed improved knowledge and practice to be more consistent with a risk-based clinical care pathway for whiplash. The positive results provide sufficient evidence to scale implementation nationally and involve other target markets such as people with whiplash, insurers, and insurance regulators.

Amid the growth of e-commerce, Rakuten Indonesia (RI) as one of the e-commerce company, have to compete in order to retain its existence. For e-commerce companies, website’s usability has an important role in attracting consumers to conduct transactions. RI website’s usability will be evaluated using Eyetracking usability testing. Eyetracking usability testing use the results of the gaze replay, gaze plots, heat maps, and the area of interest (AOI). The evaluation was done for the website features (product categorization, filtering products, sorting products, product description, saving products, as well as ordering the product), and the placement of the advertisement on the homepage RI website. From the evaluation, it was found 10 problems related RI website’s feature and the improvements was made. From the results of the evaluation of advertisement’s placements based AOI, can be determined the cost of advertising and the content of the advertisement on a specific area on the website's homepage.</em></p>

75 Background: The benefit of adjuvant treatment in gastric adenocarcinoma was demonstrated by randomized controlled studies that predominantly enrolled patients with locally advanced tumors. Thus its role for stage IIB – IIIC disease is widely accepted. Our aim was to identify patients with stage IA – IIA gastric adenocarcinoma who have a poor prognosis and therefore may benefit from adjuvant treatment. Methods: Patients with local or local-regional gastric adenocarcinoma who underwent surgical resection with pathological evaluation of ≥15 lymph nodes and had available disease-specific survival (DSS) data were identified from the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results Registry. AJCC 7th edition gastric cancer staging was used. Kaplan-Meier survival was estimated. Survival differences were evaluated with the logrank test and Cox multivariate analysis. Results: TN grouping strongly predicted DSS (p<0.001, n=8515 patients). Stage IA (T1N0) (n=887) tumors had a distinctly excellent outcome, 91±1.2% DSS at 5 years, and thus were excluded from further analysis. The 5 TN groups of stages IB and IIA (n=1544) had the next best outcomes with DSS ranging from 66±4.6% to 81±2.3% at 5 years. Older age (p<0.001), higher grade (p=0.004), larger size (p<0.001), and proximal tumor location (p<0.001) were independent predictors of worse DSS in stage IB and IIA tumors. Interestingly, T and N stages did not independently predict outcome (p=0.07, p=0.41 respectively). We devised a risk stratification scheme for stage IB and IIA tumors where 1 point was assigned for each of the following variables: age >60 years, tumor size >5 cm, proximal tumor location, and grade other than well differentiated. DSS was 100% at 5 years for patients with no points (n=2); 86±4.3% for those with 1 point (n=92); 76±3.0%, 2 points (n=325); 72±2.8%, 3 points (n=372); and 48±4.9%, 4 points (n=136) (p<0.001). Conclusions: Patients with stage IB and IIA gastric adenocarcinomas with at least 2 adverse features (age >60 years, tumor size >5 cm, proximal tumor location, and grade other than well differentiated) have 5 year DSS ≤76%. Adjuvant therapy may be warranted for these patients.

Online shopping has become a prominent consumer market in purchasing travel-related products and is likely to become the largest market in the future. Website quality and evaluation on the travel agency website features have generally been recognized as a critical step to drive business online because it will influence customers' trust-building process and satisfaction level. There are a total of 274 travel agencies currently registered with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MOTAC) to provide the Umrah package in Malaysia. Due to a very competitive online travel package offers to Muslim pilgrimage for Umrah purpose, fraud packages have become a vital issue in the Malaysian market. Therefore, this study intends to develop an effective instrument to measure the Umrah Travel Agency website features based on customer satisfaction, trust, and the customers' intention to purchase the Umrah package. Some essential website features identified from previous literature are outlined in this study, such as ease of use, visual appeal, information quality, and information relevancy. A quantitative method using a self-administered survey has been used to collect data from 100 local Muslim youths. The instruments' validity, reliability, and normality of the data were analyzed by using SPSS software. The final result indicated that all 61 instruments in the questionnaire are reliable to be used in the actual study.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how an e-bank’s structure (click-and-mortar bank vs internet-only bank) influences the consumer’s evaluation of website quality, and to identify the most significant website features that influence online trust and lead to consumer loyalty. Design/methodology/approach A non-probability convenience sample of 476 online bank users (248 click-and-mortar and 230 internet-only bank users) was used in this study. An online survey was conducted. Structural equation modeling and multi-group analysis were used to analyze the data. Findings Findings suggest that e-trust and e-loyalty levels depend on the e-banking structure. Click-and-mortar-based online users were found to have more trust and loyalty in their online banks than internet-only bank users. Findings demonstrate that website features are evaluated differently according to the e-bank structure. Information design and interactivity are very important for internet-only banks, and their effect on online trust seems to be higher. On the other hand, website personalization was evaluated as more important for click-and-mortar banks and had a stronger impact on online trust. Practical implications To promote the trustworthiness of their websites and retain customers, internet-only banks should make the experience more tangible for users by developing a pleasant online experience. Personalization is an important variable that can enhance the consumer’s engagement with the brand. Click-and-mortar banks should enhance their interactivity by providing a continuous and consistent experience across different channels of distribution whether online or in-person and provide more interactive tools on their websites. Originality/value This study contributes significantly to the marketing research literature related to consumer trust as well as to the electronic banking literature. It is the first study to compare customers of click-and-mortar banks with customers of internet-only banks when evaluating website features. It also explores the impact of the e-bank model on the relationship between website features and online trust and customer loyalty.

The article aims to investigate the role and features of the content and test proposed indicators for evaluating its effectiveness within the marketing enterprise communications with the client using Internet technologies. The differences between traditional content communications and content communications using unifying content have been presented. Based on review of scientific works and statistic data and results of the studies, a system of indicators for evaluating the level of content supply cost-effectiveness is proposed: average cost of attracting one user of website, coefficient of lead generation of the Internet website, average cost of attracting one lead, content effectiveness ratio, average purchase in consequence of content supply, profit from the sale of goods in consequence of content supply, profitability of using the Internet marketing tools. This system of indicators allows monitoring of content effectiveness at key stages of enterprise-customer interaction. The proposed indicators of content effectiveness were tested on two leading enterprises in the field of water purification and water supply in Ukraine: “ZIKO Company” and “BWT Ukraine”. It was concluded that only a high quality of content supply could provide an enterprise with a high level of customer conversion and significant visibility of its website in different search engines.

Few studies have reported the function of LYNX1 in ovarian cancer. We retrieved LYNX1 gene expression data and clinical information of 376 patients with ovarian cancer from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) project website. Wilcoxon signed-rank test and logistic regression were used to analyze the relationship between clinical pathologic features and LYNX1 expression. The Kaplan–Meier method was used to draw survival curves of patients, and Cox regression was used to calculate the relationship between LYNX1 expression and survival rate or the clinicopathological characteristics of the patients. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was performed, and the correlation between LYNX1 expression and cancer immune infiltrates was investigated via single sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA). High LYNX1 expression in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OVs) was associated with tumor residual disease (RD). In Kaplan–Meier survival analysis, patients with OVs who also displayed high LYNX1 expression had decreased overall survival (OS) and disease-specific survival (DSS) than those with low LYNX1 expression. Univariate analysis also supported that patients with high LYNX1 expression had lower OS than those with low LYNX1 expression. LYNX1 expression has the potential to be a prognostic molecular marker of poor survival in OVs.

From the results obtained after testing using BlackBox Testing and evaluation of satisfaction, quite satisfactory results were obtained where the admin managed to manage merchandise products easily, and customers could also use the features on the website smoothly to fill in the format with the Whatsapp API feature to be more efficient

AbstractA passive local eavesdropper can leverage Website Fingerprinting (WF) to deanonymize the web browsing activity of Tor users. The value of timing information to WF has often been discounted in recent works due to the volatility of low-level timing information. In this paper, we more carefully examine the extent to which packet timing can be used to facilitate WF attacks. We first propose a new set of timing-related features based on burst-level characteristics to further identify more ways that timing patterns could be used by classifiers to identify sites. Then we evaluate the effectiveness of both raw timing and directional timing which is a combination of raw timing and direction in a deep-learning-based WF attack. Our closed-world evaluation shows that directional timing performs best in most of the settings we explored, achieving: (i) 98.4% in undefended Tor traffic; (ii) 93.5% on WTF-PAD traffic, several points higher than when only directional information is used; and (iii) 64.7% against onion sites, 12% higher than using only direction. Further evaluations in the open-world setting show small increases in both precision (+2%) and recall (+6%) with directional-timing on WTF-PAD traffic. To further investigate the value of timing information, we perform an information leakage analysis on our proposed handcrafted features. Our results show that while timing features leak less information than directional features, the information contained in each feature is mutually exclusive to one another and can thus improve the robustness of a classifier.

The ever-growing amount of data on mobile phones, tablets, and smart electronic devices on the Internet and the need to use this data to address problems highlight the importance of the evaluation and validation of data-sharing websites. The GSMHOSTING website plays a key role in communicating and providing services to its users in terms of repairing mobile phones and smart electronic devices. The purpose of this study was to determine its quality from the perspective of mobile phone repair technicians. These technicians were 100 people from Birjand in South Khorasan province (Iran) who used GSMHOSTING website as a reference. The website quality assessment study was conducted in the summer of 2020. The study applied a descriptive survey and cross-sectional method based on a questionnaire. The questionnaire included 11 website dimensions: Routing, Information, Delivery, Apparent Features, Security, Reputation, Society, Entertainment, Provided goods and services, Reliability, Trust. Scores were given on a Likert scale. The validity of the questionnaire was determined using the opinions of web experts. The SPSS software and descriptive and inferential statistics methods were used to analyze data. The results indicated that the average quality of this website was acceptable in terms of technicians? goals. Addressing problems highlighted some of the website dimensions that will increase the overall quality of the website to support technicians in their activities.

Online research presents unique challenges for elementary students as they develop and extend fundamental literacy skills to various media. Some features of internet text differ from that of traditional print, contributing to the challenges of discerning “fake news.” Readers must understand how to navigate online texts to conduct research effectively, while applying critical thinking to determine the reliability of online information. Descriptive data from an ongoing study revealed that children in grades 1–5 lack some basic understanding of how to search the “wild wide web.” Just as children benefit from explicit instruction related to text features, children benefit from instruction related to the features of the internet. This article presents a study of website evaluation that occurs early in the search process prior to the selection of a particular website or article. The application of the web literacy skills required to conduct an internet search is addressed, and recommendations prompt teachers to consider searches beyond the “walled garden,” as well as ways to handle the “messiness” of internet exploration.

The evaluation includes visibility of system status, compatibilitybetween the system and the real world, control of user freedom, standards, and consistency,error prevention, user recognition of the system, flexibility and efficiency, aesthetic values andminimum values, system help, help features, and documentation. The purpose of thisevaluation is to measure morotravel.id's interface standard as one of the travel agent websitesin Lombok so that it can become a reference for information systems in the world of tourism.Based on the evaluation, it has stated that overall the morotravel.id site interface is feasible touse because it fulfills the completeness of the principles in the heuristic assessment. Still, ithas some things that need to be improved, especially in the help system and documentation.Heuristic evaluation is pragmatic and easy to do so that it gets quick results. Although thismethod does not produce high certainty, it is a relatively easy method to start an analysis ofinterface design. The hope for the next is the use of more than one way to improve the qualityof the analysis results because it meets the principle of complementarity in each evaluationmethod

Purpose Library websites serve as gateways to the information resources and services of their libraries. In today’s digital age, the development of websites is inevitable for libraries as a means to provide users with online services at their desktops. This case study reports the findings of a usability study of an academic library website from the user’s perspective. Design/methodology/approach An online survey on the efficacy of the website and statistical reports from Google Analytics were used as tools to assess and track the use of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS) Institute of Information Technology’s (CIIT’s) library website resources by national and international users. A sample of 550 users was invited by e-mail to respond to the questionnaire covering various usability features of the website. Findings Findings reveal that users are largely satisfied with the usefulness, convenience, design and quality of CIIT library website. Moreover, the users are mostly making use of the website for accessing research papers through the Higher Education Commission (HEC) digital library, exploring free online open access journals, searching for e-books and examining the library collection via online public access catalog (OPAC). This shows that the library website has a significant role in the pedagogical activities of the CIIT community. Research limitations/implications The results are limited to a case study of CIIT, Islamabad campus library website. Practical implications The findings of this study will help the library administration to overcome existing deficiencies in the CIIT library website. Originality/value The study is a foremost usability evaluation of CIIT, Islamabad campus library website from the user perspective.

AbstractEnglish language learning (ELL) websites and digital resources have been recognized as an important source of linguistic and cultural knowledge for English as a foreign language (EFL) learners to explore. The up-to-date information carried by authentic materials is invaluable for learners to develop an understanding of the target language/culture. However, there appears to be a gap between what the designer intends and what the user wants. This paper investigates Chinese university EFL teachers’ perceptions of online English language websites and resources. The study focuses on a number of components of major language areas and skills in ELL websites, website materials, language users’ preferences, and website usability. A total of 1519 English academics from 139 universities across China completed the online survey, and 164 of them voluntarily participated in focus group interviews anonymously.The empirical evidence of this study has highlighted that a pedagogically-oriented ELL website, targeting audiences with a variety of language proficiencies, was much liked by the Chinese EFL teachers. A preference was observed to see more current authentic language, examination-oriented English learning materials and tasks, and Eastern/non-Anglophone topics in the websites. In addition, it is found that website usability is another key factor that would impact ELL website popularity. A well-designed ELL website can effectively assist Chinese EFL learners to enhance their language competence and achieve optimal learning outcomes. This study provides a context-specific empirical base for innovative web-based EFL learning and teaching as well as website design and materials development in China. The proposed key features of a preferred ELL website may help better inform website designers, content writers and evaluators in their ELL website design/evaluation.

We assessed the effectiveness of two methods of patient education, a printed manual and a Website, provided to patients waiting for cardiac surgery. The four-phase study was conducted over two and a half years, and included urban and rural subjects in Vancouver and the interior of British Columbia. The Website was based on the specially developed patient education manual. A pilot evaluation study was carried out to assess the features of the Website and to ensure it was ‘user-friendly’, after which it was revised. The two education methods were evaluated using both qualitative and quantitative studies. Findings supported the feasibility and viability of both formats. The Web-based format demonstrated two additional benefits over the print-based format, namely increased social support and decreased anxiety. Other findings included the perception of increased support, lifestyle changes and more positive attitudes towards the impending surgery.

Several research that assesses, or assess computer systems has been undertaken in previous decades. Choosing an appropriate DBMS system in a computer application, though, was never completely arbitrary, based on the professional study. Developing a viable answer for such a challenge depending on business goals and needs from judgment necessitates a thorough study on information access as well as comprehensive professional evaluation. The research presents a DSS to help non-kinetics discover their proper DBMS solutions and otherwise information retention types faster. This suggested DSS is unique in that it uses MoSCoW to evaluate criterion weighting or deliberate, as well as assessment frameworks for quantifying overall levels of quasi criterion and ISO/IEC qualitative features to show the link between criterion based upon industry specialists’ expertise. Companies that produce programs have difficulty integrating new innovations, such as Internet computing or information management platforms, into their operations. Because computer engineers and top programmers are usually specialists in their field, users need to consult or train other professionals. Therefore, computer development is an appropriate area for implementing judgment support technologies that can proactively help this prediction to choose the best technologies for their products. We offer a decision support system (DSS) to assist in the selection of the best appropriate information architecture. According to both example reports and specialists, this technique improves visibility into the choice method gives a deeper prioritized choice range than if customers have conducted their study individually, or saves the duration and expense of the judicial procedure.

The use of the website in the education sector has been implemented by the STMIK BI Balikpapan campus in the form of the website http://stmik-borneo.ac.id as a forum for information for students, lecturers and the wider community. Website services are certainly supported by many features for information such as student data, academic activities, payments, grades, and even student academic services. SIMAK is an information forum for students to collect student data in the form of academic information, achievements, research and counseling forums with academic supervisors on the STMIK BI Balikpapan campus. The website that is currently in use will of course always require system development according to the needs of its users, especially students. To identify problems, it is necessary to identify problems to find out how satisfied students are on the SIMAK website. One of the evaluation methods is the PIECES method (performance, information, economy, control, efficiency, service). You can determine satisfaction for each domain based on the PIECES method, which consists of performance, information, economy, control, efficiency, and service in measuring student satisfaction for the SIMAK website. Research results from Performance get a value of 4.19, Information get a value of 3.89, Economy gets a value of 3.96, Control gets a value of 4.03, Efficiency gets a value of 4.15 and service gets a value of 4.03. So that the average value obtained is 4.04, it can be categorized as students who feel SATISFIED with the SIMAK website.

Purpose Urban typogenetics investigates the use of machine intelligence for the evaluation of performance measures as a decision support system (DSS) with a focus on urban aesthetics evaluation. This framework allows designers to address performance measures, urban measures and aesthetic criteria in an adaptive, interactive generative design approach. The purpose of this paper is to provide an understanding of the structure and the nature of the framework and the application of human-in-the-loop design systems to urban design. Design/methodology/approach Significant literature reviewed lead to the identification of an application potential in the decision-making process. This potential is situated around the use of AI for the evaluation of subjective performance criteria in a DSS. Recognising that the key decisions about urban aesthetics are based on the individual evaluation of the designer, an HITL approach for computational design software to support creative decisions is presented in this paper. Findings Urban typogenetics for interactive generative urban design allows the exploration of complex design spaces by using a human-in-the-loop design system in the context of urban aesthetics. Hybrid aesthetic evaluation allows the designer to analyse morphological features and urban aesthetics during exploratory search and reveal hidden aspects of the urban context by visualisation of the results of the aesthetic evaluation. Integrating performance measures and urban aesthetics in urban typogenetics addresses major criteria of urban design at the beginning of the creative process. Originality/value The use of a broad interactive approach to typogenetic design in an application to urban scenarios is a novel conceptual approach to the design of urban configurations. The suggested adaptive mechanism would allow the user of a typogenetic tool to subjectively evaluate solutions by sight and reason about aesthetic, social and cultural implication of the reviewed design solutions.

This study intends to develop and design a web for dance learning for high school students. This design-based research focuses on two problems, namely (1) the concept of a dance website design which is expected to be suitable for use as a medium for learning dance in the current pandemic era, and (2) the effectiveness of the dance website that is developed as a digital literacy source that can be used as a medium for learning dance in senior high schools. The research method used in this research is design-based research (DBR) with research stages that include design process, design development, evaluation, and design revision. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview and document study. Data analysis was carried out by combining qualitative and quantitative methods. The results show that the website design developed is relevant to the needs and online-based student learning methods needed during the current Covid-19 pandemic. After going through the validation and testing process, the website design developed can be applied properly. The website developed is easily accessible by students and teachers to support the implementation of dance learning that takes place online. Access mechanisms, material structure, content, and existing supporting features can be used as a means of technology literacy education for students.

Beginning in 2019 BPJS has mobile application with the name as a continuation of BPJSTK Mobile has been made previously. The addition of new features and improvements to the mobile application apparently still provides problem and complaints from workers addressed to the BPJS branch office, BPJS complaints services, and BPJS contact center. For this reason, it’s necessary to evaluate the implementation of mobile application as a whole to assist BPJS in achieving the objectives to improving IT governance and management of BPJS . This study aims to evaluate the mobile application using the COBIT 5 which has been implemented in BPJS . In this case the evaluation will be carried out using , service, and support (DSS) domain and the domain monitor, evaluate, and assess (MEA) which in the end will be measured the capability level as well as recommendations for improvement and gap analysis on the mobile application .

Medokan Ayu Mangrove Botanical Garden is managed by the Medokan Ayu Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). Pokdarwis has 54 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The management of the Pokdarwis organization and the Medokan Ayu Mangrove Gardens is still in manual form. Pokdarwis management `s views they need information systems and technology to overcome them. This condition was increasingly needed when the Medokan Ayu Pokdarwis had to temporarily close the Medokan Ayu Mangrove Botanical Gardens due to restrictions on community activities to stop the spread of Covid-19. Perbanas Hayam Wuruk University (UHW) partnership team provides a solution by presenting the Pokdarwis website with an online network. The website is socialized on how to operate, equipped with features that are integrated with MSMEs. The results of the socialization based on the evaluation provided benefits for a number of participants, so the PKM team was still providing assistance for the operation of the website. Pokdarwis Medokan Ayu also hopes that the socialization will continue in the future.

The boom of online shopping has intensified the competition between e-commerce platforms. To enhance its service quality, every e-commerce website is taking measures to improve shopping experience and consumer satisfaction. However, the existing studies on consumer satisfaction with e-commerce platform fail to fully consider consumer feedbacks, such as sharing, forwarding, and reviewing. Thus, this paper explores the evaluation model and influencing factors of consumer satisfaction with e-commerce platform. Firstly, the behavior features of similar consumers were clustered, and evaluation indices were referred to divide the factors affecting the consumer satisfaction with e-commerce platform into different layers. In addition, a consumer satisfaction evaluation model was constructed based on attention mechanism, and proved effective through experiments.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the lung ultrasound (LU) turned out to be a pivotal tool to study the lung involvement in the adult population, but the same was not well evaluated in children. We detected the LU patterns through an integrated approach with clinical–laboratory features in children hospitalized for COVID-19 in relation to the temporal trend of the Italian epidemic. We conducted a retrospective study which took place at a pediatric tertiary hospital from 15 March 2020 to 15 March 2021. We compared the characteristics of the initial phase of the first COVID-19 year—in the spring and summer (15 March–30 September 2020)—and those of the second phase—in the autumn and winter (1 October 2020–15 March 2021). Twenty-eight patients were studied both in the first and in the second phase of the first COVID-19 year. The disease severity score (DSS) was significantly greater in the second phase (p = 0.015). In the second phase of the first COVID-19 year, we detected a more significant occurrence of the following LU features than in the first phase: the irregular pleural line (85.71% vs. 60.71%; p = 0.035), the B-lines (89.29% vs. 60%; p = 0.003) and the several but non-coalescent B-lines (89.29% vs. 60%; p = 0.003). The LU score correlated significantly with the DSS, with a moderate relationship (r = 0.51, p < 0.001). The combined clinical, laboratory and ultrasound approaches might be essential in the evaluation of pulmonary involvement in children affected by COVID-19 during different periods of the pandemic.
