Abstract:

تستعرض الدراسة الأدوار والمهام الرئيسة الذي قامت به مكتبة السودان في جامعة الخرطوم، ويبدأ المقال باستعراض كيفية تأسيس وبداية المكتبة ضمن أقسام مكتبة جامعة الخرطوم.ومن ثم استعراض دور مكتبة السودان الهام في جمع مختلف مصادر المعلومات التي تتناول موضوعات حول السودان بالإضافة للمواد التي كتبها باحثون ومؤلفون سودانييون من كل التخصصات. أهتمت المكتبة في كل مراحلها بجمع كل أشكال وأنواع مصادر المعلومات مثل الكتب - الصحف والمجلات - المصغرات الفيلمية - الرسائل الجامعية - الخ الخ. وقد لعبت المكتبة دوراً مهماً في غياب المكتبة الوطنية السودانية في جمع التراث الفكري السوداني وكذلك أسهمت في التعريف به من خلال

Abstract:

تعتبر مكتبة السودان واحدة من أهم المكتبات المتخصصة في الدراسات السودانية على مستوى العالم، وذلك لما تحتويه من كنوز معرفية قيمة ونادرة ومتنوعة. تم تأسيسها في بدايات ستينات القرن الماضي، وذلك لتلبية احتياجات الباحثين وأساتذة الجامعات وطلاب الدراسات العليا المهتمين بدراسة المجتمع السوداني في مختلف جوانبه. وقد تميزت المكتبة بدور مركزي ورائد في رفد المجتمع العلمي والبحثي في السودان بما يحتاجه من مصادر للمعلومات، كما امتد أثرها لخارج السودان، حيث ظلت المكتبة مقصداً للباحثين وطلاب الدراسات العليا الأجانب. وتمتاز المكتبة بتنوع مجموعاتها التي تضم الكتب والصحف والمجلات والتقارير الحكومية والخرائط والرسا

Despite various phases of development that geography has experienced, and  lot of merits among the other subjects geography books in libraries adopting Bibliographic classification (BC) are classified under subjects other than geography, e.g. e.g. geology, economics, political sciences, social sciences and history.
