ABSTRACT Ding Ling is a offspring after the May 4th Movement, and at the same time is a good woman wirter in the proletariat class in 1930s. In her 60-year writing, there is a certain importance in Chinese Literature. Ding at first presents a novel called“Sha-Fei Lady's Diary”, to surprise the literature field. she boldly describes the women in the new ages who present sexual desire. Furthermore, in the turn of time, from a gril of Sha-Fei, she tries to break the morale rules and pursues her own life. also she is fanticied Also she is fanticied with the life of love. However, she steps into the Liftiest in 1930. She turns her life morale into revolution. Therefore, there is a big gap between revolution and her love. in the end, in order to make forturne to the public, she gives up her lovely love. Jumping out from the rule of revolition, Ding Ling uses her unique experience to present her own leading actress. Following with the time and change, in the love of her party and then disappointment, she creates lot she creates lots of self-sacrificed women who fight for the country against the Japanese, who fight for the change of land reformation, and who greadually bring hope to the country. In her writing, women from the women rights in Utopian thinking to the advocates of the Communism are related to Ding's experience in her time, and meanwhile, to influence her writing about women changes. This is all from Ding's creative observation to see the issues about women and society. In the world of patriarchy, she voices for women to promote their struggles in the society and families. from the attention of women lives rights, she tries her best to present women's self-consciousness and the interaction between the period and women. This thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter provides an introduction to the motivation, purpose, methods, scope, and reference source of this study. In the second The thesis includes seven chapters. The first chapter provides an introduction to the motivations, purposes, methods, scope, and literature review of this study. The second chapter is Ding Ling’s background and her works. This chapter will survey her background and the inspirations of works. The third chapter discusses the first stage of female image and assets women. Ding Ling differentiates varieties of female images. She thinks that women possess different personality ideas. The ideas include rebellion, Capital embodied, indulging, self-supporting economy and female friendships. I will discuss these images and what will make some difficult position in the new generation. Next chapter is the second and third female image:It has different division between traditional woman and advanced woman. Ding Ling thinks that woman has differentiated varieties of female images. The images is Mature consciousness , Submissive , Over time changed or Discard the private from the public, Give them a bright future. The fifth chapter is that patriarchal society, social cycle, oppressive and reactionary. The sixth chapter "female image of artistic skills", discussion on the female images in Ding Ling's is how it has been portrayed and shaping, as well as her usual artistic skills, enrich her female characters. The seventh is "last LUN", due this research agenda to explore the transition changes in Ding Ling's novels, significance in female novels in depth, and patriarchal women under the common fate, caring female life force review of Ding Ling's novels.

Previous researches of Huang’s novels are rich, but they seldom paid attention to women. In this thesis, I focus on "women’s images" as the topic and find out prostitute, wife and mother are the main shafts in Huang’s works. I discuss these different images by relative theories such as feminism and educational psychology. In the image of prostitutes, prostitutes not only exist but highly discriminated because of men. Dut to their special occupation, they are more vulnerable in the weak. They have to learn how to mediate with whoremasters and how to cooperate with pander and colleagues, Most of them do this job for their families but they still be edged out of the society. In the image of the mother, patriarchy set a clear set of norms for women. A woman should t comply with all this specification to become a competent mother. Whether it is education, care, vulnerability or utilitarian image, mothers are live for children or family. Therefore, they are the silent light under the eaves and shine the family in their whole life. In the image of his wife, once a woman marries someone, she has a variety of social expectations and limitations of patriarchy. Women must serve and attach to their husbands, in addition, they have to accomplish their most important tasks in the family: to have at least a son to carry on the family name. They must keep the family and life well, and silently play the tender role behind their men Above three all cannot get rid of the control of patriarchy. In family, mothers teach daughters how to become an ideal woman with their experiences. In society, people cultivate women how to play their correct roles and how to obey the rules via mass media and education. Women who cannot follow the laws such as prostitutes will be attacked and punished, Not only punishment but also a kind of cutting. Women of the times are bound by the chains of the times. They toward the direction of patriarchy, and ultimately, the women’s images will not belong to themselves.

This study was mainly explored the correlation between the image and consciousness of female roles that representing the female idealization. Started from the androgyny dichotomy, and cut into the dichotomized characteristics of personality, as well as came out tow analytic methods that extended from the female idealization to look for true features for women: one was to observe every image that female physical characteristics implied, such as the periodic mental and physiological changes, the meeting point of maternity and nature, and the harmonization of life and death; two was to investigate that after mental dissociation female use delusional ideal to make up another ego, and employ unordinary ability , wound, flesh and blood as the junction to challenge the value of self-existence and secure a certain self-position in the diversified society. Thus, the researcher adopted the female characters from fairy tales, novel and literature and animation to be the direction of looking for the sequence in order to achieve the cognition for ideal consciousness of ideal female worship. This creation was adopted the aforesaid expression as the standpoint and created after proving personal emotion of the researcher. Through the self-heal of female physical and spiritual aspects, the researcher hoped to re-review the identification of female self-role from various viewpoints and learn to discover the current self-condition.

In relation to the women’s consumption gradually increasing, the female consumption market is becoming larger than before. In the current media, definitions of beauty image created by the media has become the standards of self-examination, it even has great influences on female consumption preference. Thus, this study aims to investigate what kind of female image the female beauty TV program represents? What is the relationship between the female images represented by female beauty TV program and the cognition of beauty of female audiences? And what affects the level of exposure in TV program and the life style of the female consumers influence has on the female audiences’ cognition of beauty? This primary research expects to describe the relationship between the female images shaped by TV medias and the cognition of beauty of female audiences. Since the start of female beauty program Queen in TVBS-G on TV, there have been many fashion programs like Beautyplan, Beautyworld in CTITV, E-line secret garden in GTV, and Perfect beauty in FTV following in Taiwan. This research is going to discuss whether these fashion programs will lead to the myth of beauty for female consumers. And does the female image built by the TV media influence the purchasing preference of female cosmetic. All of these are issues this study will be discussing. This study applied the methodology of quantitative content analysis approach and internet questionnaire survey. First, it analyzes the content of the female beauty program during Jan,2005 to Jul,2007 and focuses on the female internet users whose ages are between 15 and 45. Then, these internet questionnaires are divided into four parts, including heavy viewers, light viewers, high involvement, and low involvement. According to the compared analysis of the group samples, it aims to acquire an understanding of the viewpoints of female image and the differences of consumption preference, after female consumers watched the fashion programs. In terms of the outcomes of the research, it shows the between the participants of heavy/light viewers, high/low involvement and different lifestyle, there are obviously differences in the cognition of beauty. Therefore, the exposure of the fashion program, involvement and lifestyle make a huge impact on the cognition of beauty. Besides this, the difference of high/low involvement and the lifestyle of the participants will influence the consumption preference of the audiences, but there are no apparent differences for the consumption preference between the different participants of heavy/light viewers.

The issues related to Taiwanese aborigines have received attention on diverse range recently; such as land tenure configuration, immigrant population, cultures and customs, interchange and confrontation between Han people and aborigines. The real life of Taiwanese aborigines could be gradually put together by these studies. However, women are always ignored in the previous researches about Taiwanese aborigines, neither aboriginal women of the Qing dynasty nor individuals. Currently researchers have tried to describe the character, life, and traditional customs of overall aboriginal women, or the analysis of writing consciousness, point of view of the other. But the point of view of themselves and case studies of the individual is lacking. The main purpose of the study is to reviewing various Qing dynasty archives, and to point out that the images of aboriginal women in records are usually accomplished with prejudice of culture, gender, race, and social class, which causes their image to be distorted and belittled. Although these records contain some stories about aboriginal women, but that was not complete enough, so those individuals are still unknown. Hence the study intends to use historical documents, to excavate stories by collecting records, arranging and clarifying the truth, and to reconstruct image of individual aboriginal women with historical and cultural context. It is expected that the study could be a supplement to the partial insufficient history of aboriginal women in Taiwan of the Qing dynasty.

Female product endorsed by male spokespersons has turned into a popular promoting technique nowadays. Early (Previous) researches in the gender image of the product and the spokesperson’s sex generated two diverse viewpoints. Some studies supported the match-up hypothesis, whereby a product’s gender image and spokesperson congruence result in high product and advertising evaluations. Nevertheless, others supported the mismatch hypothesis. The aim of my study is to investigate the relationship between a completely unique gender product – a female-gender product, which only female can use, and the sex of spokesperson. It also attempts to compare the effect sizes of gender congruency with the congruency between spokesperson’s attribute and product’s attribute. In conclusion, the objective of this study is to verify the match-up effect between spokespersons’ attractiveness and products’ image, and the effect of spokesperson’s sex in the female-gender product’s advertising. Three major independent variables are introduced in this paper. One is the spokesperson’s sex(female vs. male), another is the spokesperson’s attractive type(sexy vs. cute),and the other is the product’s Image(sexy vs. cute).The dependent variables are advertisement attitude, product attitude and purchase intent. The experiment is constructed from a 2×2×2 MANOVA analysis. Results draw the following conclusions: 1.The sex of spokesperson has significant effect on advertising. In female-gender product, the advertising effect is more favorable with a female spokesperson than a male spokesperson. 2.There is an interaction effect between spokesperson’s sex and product’s image. 3.There is an interaction effect between spokesperson’s attractive type and product’s image. 4.The match-up effect between spokesperson’s attractive type and product’s image toward advertising attitude is greater than the effect of spokesperson’s sex.
