A correct orientation for initial design of an engineering project is of crucial importance. A mistaken design orientation or undue design management would lead to the failure of a project, despite a perfect engineering planning. A miss at the initial stage will cause a thousand miles'' departure from the original purpose, not to mention the domino effect of consequential losses and inconveniences that follows. Present engineering practices have witnessed many defaults such as delayed delivery, poor design quality, conflicts among drawings, faulty adoption of system which does not meet ultimate economical requirements and delay in completion. All these unwanted results mainly stem from the lack of training and experience in management operations on the part of the architects or professional engineers. These not only constitute unfavorable factors to the clients, but also cause adverse influences to the societies and all equities that involved. However, the causes of these phenomena, among numerous participants, can be managed by professionals. Appropriate measures to provide early warning and resolutions can totally prevent the re-occurrence of similar situations. Knowledge of how to establish a well-defined management model at the design stage by establishing relevant procedures to master interrelationship among members of the construction management team during design stage and matters to be improved, and through collection of such design defects to investigate their causes and to establish corresponding strategies should be helpful to the promotion of a project to the expected result.

The main subject of this thesis is to realize the successful factors of the company approved reorganizing and completion which is in accordance with “Article 282 of Company Act” by analyzing the existing company Act and related corporate restructuring program content of a restructuring plan .On the other hand, there are fewer companies successfully completed reorganization over the years. In order to improve the lack of procedures of “Corporate Reorganization”, we revised the relevant procedures significantly in 2001. After revivising, the number of reorganizing company which are completed have been gradually increased. To analyze the success factors of corporate reorganization under the current law, I use the case study method to analyze the case after 2001 in this thesis. First part, considering that reorganization pocedure is one sub-concept of Reorganization. This thesis begins by throughly understanding the present Reorganization Framework of R.O.C., including legislative history and distinct applicable laws for different periods and procedures under reorganization. Second, in order to understand the company's operations during the restructuring of the situation, I gather relevant information of the cases and describe the case in chronological order. Finally, summarize the success factors of corporate reorganization, as a future reference for companies for reorganization. Since the cause of financial crisis is different by case, it should be improving for the cause in order to the rapid recovery of business activity. This thesis ruled out the absence of the last reorganization proceedings, summarized the proposed reorganization plan where the company should be considered in the corporate life cycle, the replacement of management or not, changes in operating facilities, financial assistance and the assistance to settlement of debt by Asset Management Coporation. Finally, making recommendations for the company may claim to reorganization in the future.

Technology always comes from humanity. Green technology is only environment, how devotes in conserves energy reduces in the carbon and the environment protection. If it collocates orange technology which strengthens humanity and solicitude, then innovation, research and development of human civilization are allowed for further enhancement. Afterwards technology is really capable of bringing human health, well-being and humanistic care. With the advent of an aging society and changes of population structure, medical and health care become urgent needs, which encourage enterprises to develop a healthy and happy orange technology, and has grown into an inevitable trend. Mobile commerce, or increasingly known as mobile e-commerce or m-commerce, has enabled the new type of e-commerce transactions by using mobile devices, and according to IDC Research, the global m-commerce market is expected to be worth a staggering US$200 billion by 2004. Due to the special characteristics and constraints of mobile devices, the emerging m-commerce operates in an environment very different from e-commerce. In terms of business potential, m-commerce promises many more alluring market opportunities than traditional e-commerce because of its inherent characteristics. The integration of mobile devices and the Internet is, however, filled with challenges as well as opportunities. This paper develops a critical success factor (CSF) measurement model of m-commerce by exploring the theories of m-commerce success factors and issues that previously proposed by related research community. The model can be used to identify and assess whether a mobile service provider or an enterprise that is deploying the mobilization of its business processes, can meet a certain success level of conducting the mobile services. An exploratory case study approach is used to verify the CSF model of m-commerce. Moreover, this paper engenders the productive m-commerce strategies to provide recommendations for managerial decision making, and finally discusses the trend of m-commerce.

This research topic, "Key Factor of Success (KFS) in Re-organization of Taiwan media, is one of the subtopics of research by Min-Chuan University Mass Communications Department Dean, Professor Yang Chih-Hong. The subject of research is China Television. The research is divided into two sections. The first part is a survey of TV company management. This part has its purpose to gain a first hand knowledge of the views of top level management in re-organization of Taiwan TV enterprises. The second portion concerns a survey on the staff of TV enterprises. Then the answers of both portions are compared and analyzed. The results of the survey shows that both the staff and management of CTV (China Television Company) realize the need for re-organization. Most feel that competition is the major cause. Others noted the need for development into digital broadcasting. There is a third factor; the need to readjust human resource structure and to lower costs. Many think that the third reason is the need to improve company''s financial structure.

Biotechnology has become an important focus for industrial development in the majority of developed countries in the past two decades or so. In Taiwan, the government also highly encourages the development of biotech industry. Among various disciplines of biotechnology, stem cell-related industry is a newly emerging field expected with high potentials of industrialization. Indeed Taiwan does possess the basis for such development. Because of my background as a clinician scientist specializing in stem cell research, in the current study I expect to understand the current status of development of stem cell industry nationally and internationally, as well as to quantify the critical key success factors for such development. It is hoped that the results of this study can offer substantial help to the academic, the government as well as the industry to develop stem cell-based cell therapy. In this study, factor analysis has been performed based on 40 questionnaires. We summarized three key success factors out of 37 variables. The first one is “Branding, product, marketing and service”, showing that all in all, the most critical key success factor still is about the core competence of the enterprise. The ability of offering good products and services, in conjunction with branding and marketing, is the major driving force for enterprise to flourish. The second key success factor is “Enterprise development, technology transfer and enterprise strategy”, suggesting the importance of strategy and directions of enterprise development. The third key success factor is “Government, Venture capitalist and academia-industry-society relationship”. This indicates that apart from the enterprise and the industry per se, the external environment and government policy also plays a critical role. Following the factor analysis mentioned above, cross analysis was also performed to evaluate the current situation in Taiwan. However, the results showed a negative correlation, indicating that the overall situation is unsatisfactory and needs to be improved in order to ensure the success of stem cell industry development in Taiwan. Having said that, the average score from the interviewed experts was three. Given the fact that stem cell industry is still at its beginning, the results showed that Taiwan has had certain fundamental development and standards. As long as the training of manpower and infrastructure can be further improved, it is believed Taiwan still have great opportunities in this field.

In recent years, small and medium enterprises(SMEs) in Taiwan each year about ten trillion of output value. The scale of which more micro-enterprises has accounted for a significant rate. Over the past decade, totaling more staggering growth rate of 71.33%. It is noteworthy that Micro and Retailing Enterprise is very common in Taiwan of operation patterns. Most of these operators are individual proprietorship. Because of less resources and lacking of human resources, in the development process vulnerable to problems on the business. In order to achieve better resource conditions and competition advantages, naturally formed or gathered in the district bazaar patterns, the so-called Cluster operations. Although there are huge number of Clustering in Taiwan, creating a lot of jobs and output, but also because of intense competition, so that certain operations are not ideal Micro and retailing vendors deprecated quickly in the market. The study is expected to identify key success factors of the micro-management of retail vendor cluster by factor analysis methods. With the clustering phenomenon advantage of their existing and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as government policies to support the development of entrepreneurship, improve business now additional Availability rate of decline in value, in order to enhance their current salary situation and the employment environment. This study will explore literature through the construction of a questionnaire, for in the industrial cluster miniature retail firms to do research and analysis as a research tool to identify the key success factors through factor.

The paper proceeds with an industry analysis of Taiwan’s IC design industry by collecting the relevant data. The opinions of Taiwan’s IC design companies are also included with the help of questionnaires and top management interviews. From the questionnaires and the interviews result the six key success factors such as right products to market, the capability of design to meet customers’ need, excellent customer and technical service, a efficient technical team, the ability to integrate, and efficiency capital market in Taiwan, due to Taiwan''''s IC design companies’ success in the past two decade. We also find out the seven key success factors such as right products to market, the capability of design to meet customers’ need, the ability to integrate, a management team with excellent manage expertise, build up a fair compensation system and solid corporate culture , and technical patents and know-how. Finally the paper tries to make some suggestions for Taiwan''''s IC design companies and government.

Viral marketing aimed at the development and popularization of the services or products, by providing some sort of incentive to target groups use the Internet and encourage them to spread electronic messages in their interpersonal networks, especially in the modern use of the Internet community rate continues to rise, and it gets to share information to improve the frequency. Spread of the virus via similar manner, so that consumers affected by the brand or product messages to infection, this virus can be passed spontaneously message. With the Internet at the same time enhance the utilization of sports management or marketing personnel has gradually relied on the Internet as a marketing tool, and increasing network users has prompted sports marketing and events organization willing to use network resources , and thus make it easier for sports organizations to reach consumers or fans. Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the critical successful factors for students’ mathematic performance. This paper examines the critical factors that influenced students’ mathematics performance by meta-analysis which tested overall factors from the empirical results of individual studies. The data was collected from database including 3 English journals and 50 Chinese journals. The period is from 2000 to 2012 met the criteria that impact on mathematics performance. We sets four major dimensions including teacher, teaching materials, student, and environmental factors which contributed to the students’ mathematics performance. Statistical values was tested and analyzed by calculating each Meta quantitative values, such as Fail safe N, Heterogeneity Q test, significant weighted average Zc value, True population effect size, 95% confidence interval, and explained variance. The results of this study showed as below: 1. Teaching attitude is the most significant factor that affect in teacher dimension. 2. Assessment ways and curriculum design are the most significant factor that affect in teaching materials dimension. 3. Students’ learning motivation is the most significant factor that affect in student dimension. 4. Learning environment is the most significant factor that affect in environmental dimension.

The explosive growth of the world wide web, with users accessing information via networked computers, open a new and exciting opportunity for application service providers (ASPs). The ASP handles application maintenance and upgrades, and is directly responsible to the customers for application performance, although another vendor may provide operations. ASPs provide sophisticated applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions which ordinarily have high implementation costs for small to mid-size companies to entering e-business. Thus, customers can reduce uncertainty and gain rapid, cost effective access to applications that enhance their business. The objectives of this research are to investigate and define application service provider, and identify critical success factors of ASP from questionnaire survey. 30 critical success factors which were grouped into five different layers were identified from the literature and interviews with some ASP companies. A questionnaire was designed based on the critical success factors. The survey was conducted during June 2001 via world wide web. 102 questionnaires were sent out to the ASP companies in Taiwan with return rate 30.4%. From our results we found: 1) technical service support, marketing channel control and expansion, and on-line service are the most important factors; 2) infrastructure and operation structure are significantly correlated with the replier’s positions in the company; 3) platform structure is significantly correlated with the company’s age and customer service is more important for younger companies (less than 3 years) than for other older companies; 4) financial operation, contract negotiation, network safety, server facility, and data backup are more important for non-engineer staffs than for engineers.

Strategy alliance is one of the main characteristics that distinguishes the airline industry from other sectors of the economy. In the past few years, due to the promulgation of experts and the promotion of the government, strategy alliance has created a great sensation through domestic aviation industry in Taiwan. Competition in the market is getting keener after the “Open-sky” policy enacted in Taiwan in 1987. Lots of alliances have been forming among international airlines; however, many of these alliances failed. This research attempts to identify and analyze the factors that are important to airline alliance success. The main findings of this study are briefly described from two aspects:the tendency of group competitiveness in Taiwanese airline industry,the structure characteristics of domestic transportation market, and the government’s policy issues are the three main reason to cause the failure of the domestic airline alliances. The intercontinental strategy alliances have more chances in the future. The reasons are as bellows: the tendency of liberalization and globalization in the airline industry,the relaxation of legal constraints, and the characteristics of density economies in the airline industry are the three factors to result in the success of the intercontinental strategy alliances.

Abstract Domestic construction industry and real estate development, and related peripheral industries with manufacturers, the working population is very numerous, and its development will be successful or interlocking of many related industries, known as the locomotive industry said. Rise and Fall of the construction industry on the overall development of the domestic economy have considerable influence and importance. Construction Company at the time of implementation of land development, will follow the current political situation and the economy to make a change, key considerations included location of traffic conditions push the case surrounding important life function facilities, the regional environment, development, base topography, land planning floor effect, Fixed line function, purchase cost, the price position, investment profits, ... and so managers can make the right choice the first time judgment is indeed important. After finishing this study documents, for the larger environment of operational difficulties, the construction company is still operating well, using in-depth interviews (semi-structured) and case studies of qualitative methods to understand the construction company business strategy and critical success factors. Therefore, this study hope that through interviews with industry and business performance in a well-known construction company chairman, president, chairman, in the current financial influence government policy (tightening) policies and premises policy, to discuss the construction of the industrial industry management strategy and Key success Factors, thereby to find out how the construction industry can maintain a good operating performance excellence, and sustainable living. Ultimately, we want to find out the construction industry industry thinking through this research, business strategy and operational management critical success factors that can make available to other construction industry on the basis of reference to the operating and follow-up research. Food indispensable necessity for the people''s livelihood, but also an important indicator of response required a degree of national economic development and people''s lives.Because the impact of the recent food security crisis, so that Taiwan''s food import and export by the impact of sharp reduction of export value in 2014, more cooking oil made from recycled restaurant waste incident, so the frozen food market growth rate than in the past performance. Food security crisis triggered people began to change their eating habits, so that the entire food industry structural change, sustainable development if they want to, will need to focus on some important business variables, such as: food safety, vertical integration operations, cross-industry cooperation, expand overseas market.The present study aims to be later aggregated relevant literature and industry analysis of information from which collate and analyze the impact of business it may be important variables in frozen food processing industries, products, marketing and sales strategies, human resource management, production / management, international policy conditions five sub-item analysis to establish the main framework of this study, select important variables, the deletion of this study less relevant variables to develop the questionnaire. First, the reliability and validity of the questionnaire analysis, testing the reliability of the study questionnaire development;another factor analysis obtained from the operation of the main factors and variables to be named.The major findings of this study that the key success factors for frozen food processing industry were: regulatory policy, management support, production technology and marketing services. Finally , this study further suggest that the management practices recommendations to the relevant industry operators do strategic planning future reference.

To obtain a competitive advantage, a firm need obtain the resources that can help promoting its operating effectiveness and efficiency, build entry barrier against other firms, develop dynamic capability to meet challenges of the competitors, and formulate an effective strategy to maintain its sustainable competitive advantage. In particular, the firm must first be able to clearly identify and obtain its critical resources, and then enhance its capability to exploit the resources. The firm must also set up an organization with clearly defined managerial roles that allows the firm to grow and prosper. The firm’s development strategy must be able to respond to changes in the industry environment. Last but not least, the firm must establish an effective mechanism to protect its resources, which the firm relies on to obtain competitive advantage. The manufacturing processes of steel industry are sophisticated and change slowly. The progresses of information industry, both hardware and software, are comparatively changing quickly. Process Information systems of steel industry combining Information system and steel process know-how provide highly automated, high quality and stable production. They are undoubtedly important to the industry. A firm needs to seek and train employees with great potential so that they can become experts in the related field. The firm must further develop an effective strategy to promote its performance, and thus is important to maintain a competitive advantage over its competitors. The study illustrates the resource-integration process using an expansion project of a subsidiary within a steel conglomerate. The conglomerate successfully integrated its process information engineering resources into the expansion project of its subsidiary, further enhanced its core process capability in steel production and its ability to design information systems, and therefore provides a blueprint for directing its process information engineering business in future. Through the expansion project, it successfully expanded the production scale, enhanced the capability of various sections to work together strengthened the firm’s overall competitive advantage and in fact marked a significant milestone for the conglomerate’s future development in an increasingly competitive environment. It could be a role model of firm development.

Profit-orientated early childhood education institutions are standing in great numbers in Taiwan. Most of their curricula are market-oriented where parents’ interests are best considered. That is, writing and learning English become the centered of their curricula because parents request. On the contrary, preschools that insist on developmentally appropriate educational belief face difficulties in enrolling new students. In order to survive in early childhood education market, developmentally appropriate education institutions should incorporate the strategies of business administration. However, few studies have been focused on the management aspects in the field of early child education. In this study, the researcher is interested to find out how could the few private day care centers succeed in the competitive field of early childhood market while maintaining education quality. The goals were to examine the key successful factors of one selected developmentally appropriate private day care center. The researcher deliberately selected one day care center which won three first-rate day care center accreditations in 2004 and which made profits in recent years in Taichung. Qualitative research method was used to collect data from observation, from reviewing files and field diary, and from interviewing managers, principals and teachers in the selected education institution. In additions, questionnaires were collected from parents to understand their satisfactions toward the day care center. First, this study found that the items parents approve are approximately the same with the key points of the day care center management. Second, the key successful management factors of the private day care center are consistent with theories of business management and that the day care center should hold on selected fields of key success factors in their management. Third, the day care center should make use of the advantages of its own resources. Fourth, the personal background of the management would affect the types of key success factors selected by the day care center. Finally, some key success factors may not be appropriate for quality private day care centers of single-store administration. Based on the findings, suggestions for early childhood administrators and future studies were provided.

The development of the insurance industry has prolonged more than 50 years in Taiwan. To improve the performance and maintain the competitiveness, insurance companies developed variety of marketing channel tactics such as e-commerce website which help them maximize profits or to obtain leadership of insurance industry. This study focused on discovering critical success factors of e-commerce website for insurance products. In this paper, 18 critical success factors of e-commerce website for selling insurance products are discussed by literature review and are categorized into 3 different aspects. By conducting questionnaire survey, opinions of corresponds who are experienced customers on internet shopping and also work in insurance industry are collected. Main factors are found according analysis on evaluating the weighted importance on critical success factors of e-commerce website which selling insurance products. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to calculate weighted importance for 18 factors on technology, price and management aspects. Following the analysis on weighted importance for 18 factors, research results show that top 4 factors are factors in the “quality of service” aspect. Furthermore, research results also show that different correspond segmentation has different point of view on critical success factors of e-commerce website for insurance products. Finally, this study gives empirical suggestions on applying critical success factors of e-commerce websites of insurance industry.
