碩士<br>國防大學中正理工學院<br>軍事工程研究所<br>92<br>Because of database inconsistency, it is difficult to integrate different information systems, especially for spatial information system, the key impediment arising from semantic heterogeneity and incompatible spatial data formats. Although there is a lot of solution solving semantic heterogeneity of the schema or incompatible graphic data format independently, but few of them concerned these two problems at the same time. In practical spatial information system’s architechture, spatial data always comes with database. This paper proposes a Mediation of Unified Schema for integrating both attribute database and spatial data schema, and transfer different spatial data into the same Geography Markup Language (GML) document format for data exchanging. The technique of Mediation of Unified Schema is based on Extension Markup Language (XML), including three modules: (1) Unified Schema: using mapping Unified Schema to integrate attribute database schema by mapping into XML Schema, as for spatial data, concerning the need of different area, GML Application Schema is created to describe domain area spatial feature structure and content. (2) The exchange and integration of spatial data: Spatial data transfered to GML document as a canonical data model, and using designed GML Application Schema to verify the exchanged GML data, to ensure the data format is correct. (3) Data access design: after finishing the design of Unified Schema environment, to access dispersed data, this paper proposed a method using Java tools to parse the Unified Schema, and get the element objects. Through the connection interface, one can get integrated data of dispersed system, and translate and integrate the representation of attribute XML document into table format, and spatial GML document into SVG format. Finally, the research presents verifications of the integration of both systems of the proposed method on installation OO camp and TT camp.

All manufactures are faced with the challenge of making high quality products within a short product introduction time while reducing costs as low as possible. Product lifecycle management (PLM)is an emerging solution and information integration is a core to address this challenge. Without an efficient methodology to integrate data and processes, PLM would be impossible. This research explores thus the methodology and IT requirement for the integrated product manufacturing information management system, with the following research goals: 1. To investigate the methodology needed by manufacturing companies to implement the integrated product manufacturing information management system to achieve PLM. 2. To investigate the information integration framework for the integrated product manufacturing information management system. Based on analytic method originated from Zachman Framework, this research conducted a case study on a defense industry. The core of this case study is to identify the Framework provides a means for organizing the models of Enterprise Applications Integration (EAI) into useful categories. Model is composed of multiple modeling methods integrated in a way that is sufficient to describe the system. The main models are: (1). Information models for the representation of product data are being developed as an international standard (ISO 10303) informally called STEP. STEP (STandard for the Exchange of Product model data) is designed to enable the exchange of product data between heterogeneous computer systems used throughout the product life cycle. (2). A neutral model of engineering and management data, developed based on the eXtensible Markup Language (XML), can be a standard interchangeable information representation for manufacturing information integration in PLM, and is developed in this research. (3). During several of the BPR steps, the critical process pieces are identified and designed together using IDEF Models. A last, with respect to enterprise information technology integration, this research comes to the conclusions as follows: 1. The primary goal of a BPR effort is to document the current and future business process and to ensure stakeholder buy-in and support. 2. Enterprise information integration is still relatively new, and its best practices are not fully disseminated, which helps to explain why Zachman Framework and analysis tools are important. 3. Since the structure of the data changes too rapidly, integration at the physical source level does not work. Web Services provide a distributed computing technology for revealing the business services of applications on the Internet or intranet using standard XML protocols and formats. It enables EAI to be an ongoing process of creating a flexible, standardized enterprise infrastructure that allows new IT-based applications and business processes to be easily and efficiently deployed.

For pursuing sustainable management, it has to follow the society changes and environmental trends. During the process of pursuing sustainable management, management systems are continuously brought in to create competition advantages for raising the efficiency and reaching the objective of sustainable improvement. Occupational health and safety and environmental management systems are the management systems to raise the enterprise competitions. Under the intense market competitions and the increasing awareness of environmental protection and employees, domestic enterprises are launching into the establishment of self-determination management systems, ISO14000 and OHSAS 18001, to expect to improve the existing states of enterprise occupational health and safety and environmental management systems by scientific and systemic methods. OHSAS and EMS both apply the management logic of planning, implementation, checking and corrective action and management review to constitute PDCA cycle. The integrated systems construct the modern enterprise management systems structure to enterprises, and reach the objectives of environmental protection and self-determination occupational health and safety management. The purpose of this research is to discuss the possibilities of integrating occupational health and safety and environmental management systems. To those enterprises getting certifications from occupational health and safety management systems in the country, the case discussed is to understand the will, motives, elements and successful factors for integrating these two management systems. The investigation results show that all enterprises are willing to integrate occupational health and safety and environmental management systems. The primary three motives of integration include simplifying management systems to raise the management efficiency, helping enterprises to reach the targets of occupational health and safety, environmental protection and operation, and following the international trends to establish the basis of enterprise sustainable management. The primary three successful factors of integration include promises and support from managers, consensuses and efforts from employees and employers, and implementation of inner inspecting systems. The primary three elements of integration include management department examinations, documents filed, and organizational responsibilities. Management activities are properly standardized and systematized in the enterprise, so that simple and more efficient systems will maintain the normal operation and objectives. Quality management, environmental management, and occupational health & safety management have become indispensable business operating essentials (functions cover activities, products, and services). Despite the differences in company objectives and operations, execution and management principles remain consistent; i.e., planning, execution, examination, and PDCA. Successful implementation of the ISO 9000 quality management system created a certain edge for a company; thus it became the foundation of the management system development. Subsequently, companies established the ISO 14000 environmental management system and the OHSAS 18000 occupational health and safety management system. A company hoping to maintain high work efficiency and competitive power should establish an integrated management system that would support its principal processes; the system should be also meet the demands of the varying company management system standards. This development is an inevitable trend in management system growth. Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) has a wholesome industrial safety management system and efficient industrial safety facilities; yet it was unable to achieve the commensurate work safety results. An examination of the problem showed that the intrinsic deficiencies of its corporate culture became an impediment in the realization and implementation of the system. Presently, Taipower is implementing an organizational reform to improve its culture; privatization or incorporation is being considered. However, since such efforts are governed by government privatization policies, reforms could not cope with the urgent industrial safety requirements and incidents. If Taipower should desire to improve industrial safety standards within the near future, then it could implement OHSAS 18000 and employ the evaluation and period examination services of independent examination agencies. The move could put industrial safety management into the right track, as well as ensure the realization and implementation of industrial safety regulations and system. ISO 9000 is currently implemented in every department of the company; since the ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18000 systems are quite similar in a number of areas, they observe the PDCA cycle; hence it is feasible to anchor integration of the environmental safety management system on the existing ISO 9000 system. Integrating OHSAS 18000 and ISO 14000 could establish or improve environmental protection as well as health and safety management operations; furthermore, it could also serve as a blueprint for the full-scale upgrade of departmental management systems.

The quality level of the Taiwan-made machine tools is only third to Germany and Japan. However, with the increasing competition from China on the machine tools industry.Taiwan manufacturers should consider how to reduce cost and to face the rise of Chinese manufacturers. This study used a Taiwan company, Shang-Nong Industry Co., Ltd., as a case. The purpose of this study is to (1) combine both lean production and value chain management, and further to (2) apply the management skills in the case. We adopted case study as an approach to identify problems existed in the company’s value chain, and based on lean production and value chain theory to suggest five improvement strategies. We then evaluated the company’s performance of after implementing improvement strategies via the analysis of economic value added. This research find four main problems existed in the value chain on (1) human capital management, (2) a waste of materials caused by errors, (3) a waste of resources caused by inappropriate data management, and (4) a waste of time caused by outsourcing. Therefore, we proposed five improvement strategies are (1) to implement the 5S visual management, (2) to standardize/electrified information, (3) to implement investment management, (4) to purchase large-scale NC lathe, (5) to improve human capital management. We practically introduced three improvement strategies, that is, (1) we increases a new outsourcing company to improve the time waste problem, (2) we adopted EVA-Based reward system and bonus bank to solve high turnover rate problem, and (3) we hired consulting companies to improve managers’ management concepts. After implementing the improvement strategies, the EVA index reflected the company’s performance had enhanced. We hope our findings can be as references to new comers as a reference of lean production and value chain management

The paper would confer the relation issue of computer integration manufacture building and using, and the performance management model has been developed by improving this manufacture management system. The degree of complexity has obvious different between wafer bumping and traditional assembling. Because the bumping procedure is processed by the whole wafer and one cassette (25 wafers), the whole lot might be scrapped if something wrong in bumping process. We have to control every process and make sure to use right recipe. That is helpful for manager in application of information technology. But, we would build an ideal manufacture management system, we should understand well the detail process at first. Second, the process has to simplify by eBusiness, process flow char and operation management technique. As above, I think that is ideal building manufacture management system procedure. After having the system, we should operate it well to raise performance. Because we improved this system and re-exploited to raise performance. We created a series of manufacture management report in order to consult and application for performance management activities. This system is taken as rules to lead the manufacture process, and we follow it to achieve the best performance. We can modify the system as the necessary to improve. After the terminal users operate the system, I get the experience that we improve it by the users'' innovation and the functions of this system work the best performance.

Therefore, the aim of this study is to discuss the derived issues from integration of knowledge management and ERP. Furthermore, we use the approach of case study that is based on a teeth model company A, to discuss critical success factors that a company may encounter before the integration of knowledge management and ERP. From the research results of interviewing business owners, knowledge management professionals, ERP specialists, and employees, our conclusions are as follow: (1) Employee’s level of acceptance is a key factor to accomplish integration, discard the importance of supports from high-level managements before the enterprise’s integration. (2) ERP consultants are more suitable for the leading role of integration than the company’s internal specialists or knowledge management professionals. (3) ERP modifies programs with customization methods that change the system’s functionalities or flows will likely cause various issues. (4) The integration of ERP and knowledge management is expected to achieve good operational efficiency.

Therefore, for combinations of different configurations of microgrids, grid-tied and islanded operation modes, distributed energy resources (DERs) and load types, designing suitable functions and intelligent control strategies for EEM is essential; thus, microgrids will be operated under optimal conditions and satisfy electrical energy balance constraints. Consequently, the main purpose of this thesis will analyze the basic, advanced, and optimal studies of EEM for a main transformer type microgrid. This study analyzes the essential functions and characteristics of EEM, derivations of mathematical DER models and control strategies, load demand prediction methods, load management schemes, real-time power flow solution approaches, derivations of optimal EEM models, and build a simulation system with EEM. Finally, the new centralized EEM and supervisory control system will be developed for the proposed microgrids. Results of this thesis will greatly facilitate to utilities and related industries when developing future EEM systems in Taiwan. Furthermore, the study outcomes will pave the way for the development of autonomous grids, and support improvements to energy efficiency and power quality, decrease the amount of CO2 generated by power plants and minimize adverse environmental effects. The research is apart from three part , the first is to understand the textile industry operation situation and to see how the inventory policy affect the individual plant. Second , survey about information sharing method in textile industry. The last is adapting from system dynamics methodology for modeling and simulation. Simulation the three different inventory policy and information sharing portfolio , in which policy the macro supply chain can make the prefer result ,can reduce the inventory backlog . hope the result can make the command to the textile industry to make better performance.

Didn’t rise and fall violently like so called “high tech. companies”, these industries seem traditional and old-fashioned. Accompanies the accumulation of culture asset in Taiwan, however, these traditional industries gradually form a burgeoning “Creative Culture Industry”. If the cultural creativities and creative contents can be digitalized and been transmitted through variety of media with watching or listening fee, it becomes a new “Digital Content Value-added Service Industry” which is combined with “content” and “digitalization technology”. If we can integrate our digital technologies and rich cultural content efficiently to result in synergy, there is probably a big chance that Taiwan can play a major role of digital content industry in the world. Comprehensively surveying the trend of industry, we know the whole digital content industry is growing constantly. The “digital content value-added service industry” (DCVS) this thesis study on is a sub-industry of the whole digital content industry. Briefly speaking, the DCVS digitalize music, images, texts, videos, and any other types of contents, and provide variety value-added services to end users through three major telecommunication and media channels including broadband websites, cellular phones, and digital interactive TV or Cable TV. The DCVS can be divided to three major market segments including broadband website market, mobile valued-added market, and interactive digital TV market. Among these three markets the broadband website market is most mature. Since the technology innovation of MMS and Java Download, the mobile value-added market started growing in recent years. This market monopolized by Fareastone, CHT, TCC, etc. five major telecom companies and some aggregators. Rockmobile corp. is the largest content aggregator of mobile value-added market domestically. As regards to interactive digital TV market, it just grows up and set into action by ADSL and Cable modem operators. Resulting from the increasing demand of specialty division of the industrial value chain, an emerging “content aggregator” appears and plays a critical role in DCVS industry. However, there is seldom thesis study on the issue of the operation and management of aggregator companies. Therefore, in this thesis, we choose aggregators as the major study object and compare with the study of its cooperative telecom companies. In our study, we found out the aggregator and telecom companies have a very tight cooperation relationship, but each has their special operation strategies and core capabilities. As regarding to the business strategy, most companies choose to enter the three major markets extensively. On one hand, it can increase the source of revenue; on the other hand, it can develop a scope economy. Some others choose to focus on only one market in order to build its brand status and competitive advantages. There are three significant core capabilities on operation of DCVS: (1) excellent business and technology group. (2) Building a well relationship with vertical cooperative companies and a platform which can integration with other’s system. (3) Have numerous video contents and a lot of cooperation content providers. Besides, each company has its great tech. group and builds a special digital content management system according to its position of value chain and its market segments. It’s very tough to survive in DCVS market, and a company should have a great tech. group to develop their content management system. In additional, it should build a well relationship with each telecom companies or integrate the popular record industry, TV industry, movie industry, broadcasting industry, etc. according to its position in value chain and should have great project management ability. Hence, it can operate permanently and build it own competitive advantage. Finally, this thesis point out the trend of DCVS industry in three major markets and also gives some concrete suggestions to our government and the related companies. Hope it can be a reference for government to advance the industry and for business operation of related companies.

In fact, business has been integrated into a supply chain to resiliently respond to marketing competition. The purpose of this thesis is to study supply chain management, in combination with other techniques including information system integration, total quality management and business process reengineering, to create a model analysis of business competitive advantage. The questionnaire of this study has been modified and approved after consulting experts and administrating several pretests. The subjects of this study were high technology and traditional business in Taiwan. Among the total 994 surveys, 168 copies were responded and 155 questionnaires were valid. The data were analyzed by their significance and validation in the information system integration capability, total quality management, business process reengineering, and supply chain management capability. The whole model was analyzed by LISREL and shown as follows: χ2- 181.406, p value- 0.129, GFI- 0.903, AGFI- 0.874, RMSR- 0.026, CFI- 0.988. These findings indicate the adequacy of this model system in its business application. The results indicate that the information system integration capability not only has a significantly positive impact on total quality management, business process reengineering, and supply chain management, but also assists the establishment of competitive advantage. High technology and traditional business have significant difference in the model system. In general, the performance of high technology is better than traditional business. The impact of information system integration capability on business process reengineering and supply chain management, as well as supply chain management capability on business competitive advantage, is significantly greater in high technology than those of traditional business. These data show that tradition business is inadequate in the information system integration capability, which, in turn, leads to business competitive disadvantage in information system and supply chain management. In conclusion, current businesses in Taiwan should accelerate their information system integration capability and integrate total quality management and business process reengineering in the administration. In the era of fast-expanding economics, business should build on the supply chain management to increase the value of the customer service, prudently correspond to the environmental change, reinforce competitive ability, and pursue the ultimately everlasting success.

The four-perspective model of describing a value-creating organization can be regards as a language for executive teams to discuss the direction and priority of their strategic agenda. In terms of strategy measures, they do not only represent as the key performance indicators (KPIs) of four independent perspectives, but also regard as the cause-effect linkage of goals and items among the four perspectives of BSC. Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton created the expression model of the cause-effect linkage to assist the discussion process of executive teams. It is so called a strategy map. They both also demonstrated a fundamental principle underling the BSC; i.e. “If you can measure, you can manage it.” From an empirical perspective, people believe that management information systems (MISs) can help the efficiency and effectiveness of business administration as well as be the powerful tool of generating data for various performance measures. Therefore, by analyzing a case of a BSC roll-out enterprise, this research would like to address whether the data requirements of strategic measures generating from strategy maps are fulfilled by the data output from the MISs or not. Is it a necessity to support the strategic goals of an enterprise first in case of building MISs for an enterprise? After studying the status of roll-out BSC enterprises in different industries, it shows that there is a “KPI-data accuracy” issue between actual KPIs needed and the data resources from. The purpose of this research is to build a data requirement planning model to find out the “accurate data” by using a business intelligence (BI) tool to access the effective information from ERP, CRM, SCM, Workflow, KM, e-Learning; etc., and then to manipulate those data in order to output the BSC indicators for executive teams for monitoring the status achieved of BSC from the dashboard anytime. Moreover, the study also standardizes the BSC roll-out processes and the integration processes of MISs by summarizing into time tables of project management which can be regarded as a reference kit for enterprises intending to implement BSC in the future. Finally, the study also demonstrates the benefits of BSC in assisting change management of an organization, in evaluating the intellectual capital, and in measuring information capital readiness of an enterprise, etc.
