Abstract:

This article reports on the effect of three types of written feedback on student motivation at a girl's private high school in Japan. It addresses the question of whether students who receive meaning-focused feedback show a greater degree of positive motivation than students who receive either positive comments or error-focused feedback. The only statistically significant difference among the three types of feedback was that the positive-comments group was significantly less eager to get their journals back each week than the meaning-focused feedback group. The overall findings of this study reconfirm the positive effect journal writing, regardless of feedback type, has on motivation. All three groups reported that they felt it had a positive effect on their English, and that it had been a worthwhile for them. 本論文は、日本の某私立女子高校を調査対象にして、英文日記の３通りの筆記によるフィードバック法を比較し、それらが生徒の＜やる気＞に及ぼす効果について報告したものである。日記の「内容に関するフィードバック」を受ける生徒が、「誉め言葉によるフィードバック」、あるいは英語の「誤謬訂正のフィードバック」を受けるものよりも、より＜やる気＞を引き起こされるものかどうかという点を検証した。3通りのフィードバックを比較して、統計数値上唯一有意差があったのは、「誉め言葉のフィードバック」を受けるグループは、「内容に関するフィードバック」を受けるグループに比べて、毎週の日記の返却(つまりフィードバックされること)にそれほど熱心ではなかったということである。ただ研究全般から再確認できることは、いかなるフィードバックであれ、英文日記を書くことは、英語学習に対する生徒の＜やる気＞に対してプラス効果を及ぼすということであり、それは３グループすべての生徒が、日記をつけることは自分たちの英語にプラス効果をもたらし、やりがいのあるものであったと報告していることに表れている。

Abstract:

This report looks at the effect of journal feedback and the possible transfer of skills from journal writing to in-class compositions. Although no statistically significant justification for belief in a positive transfer-of-skills effect was found, only the meaning-focused feedback group was found to have made a steady increase in the number of error-free clauses over time, in both their journal entries and in their in-class writing samples. 本稿は英語日記に対するのフィードバックの効果、ならびに英語で日記をつけることで得たスキルが、授業の中でのライテイングへ転化されるかどうかを検証する。スキルの有効な転化がある、という見解を裏付ける統計的に有意な確証は得られなかったが、意味に中心をおいたフィードバックを受けたグループについては、誤りのない文節の数の着実な増加が、日記への書き込みにも、授業の中でのライテイングのサンプルにもみとめられた。

Abstract:

This case study investigates the language learning experiences, both at home and abroad, of a male Japanese high school learner of English. The qualitative data consist of field notes taken in Japan and the United States, interview data, and a semi-structured diary. Proficiency data include an oral proficiency interview (OPI), an institutional TOEFL, a dictation, and a narrative recorded immediately following the study abroad experience. By examining dynamics at different levels of analysis, it is argued that gender played a significant role in shaping short-term and long-term language learning opportunities and outcomes. This case study contributes to the study abroad literature in two ways. First, it adds a case study of a Japanese male to the literature on the gendered experience abroad. Secondly, it allows us to investigate how language study at home and abroad differs for a single learner, and how gender contributes to these differences. 本研究は、一人の日本人男子高校生の日本とアメリカにおける英語学習経験を調査したケーススタディである。日米両国で記録したフィールドノート、インタビュー、記載様式をある程度規定した日記などの質的データを資料とした。習熟度に関する資料としては、OPI と呼ばれる会話測定能力テスト、TOEFL、ディクテーション、留学経験直後に録音した体験談などを使用した。多様なレベルのダイナミクスを検証し、ジェンダーが、短期・長期両方にわたる言語学習の機会と成果を得るために、重要な役割を果たしていることを論じた。本研究は、日本人男性のケーススタディである点、個人においても母国と外国とでは言語学習の方法が異なり、ジェンダーがその違いにどのように影響しているかを探ることができた点において、海外留学体験におけるジェンダーの影響を扱った研究分野に貢献するものである。

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan sasaran pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di kelas 3, (2) mendeskripsikan strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk mencapai sasaran pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di kelas 3, (3) mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang mendasari penggunaan strategi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di kelas 3, dan (4) mendeskripsikan kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di kelas 3 SD Saraswati 3 Denpasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu guru yang mengajar bahasa Jepang di kelas 3 SD Saraswati 3 Denpasar. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) sasaran pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di kelas 3 adalah siswa mampu mengembangkan keterampilan dalam berbahasa Jepang meliputi empat aspek yaitu aspek menyimak, aspek berbicara, aspek membaca, dan aspek menulis. (2) Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk mencapai sasaran pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di kelas 3 yaitu strategi drill dan strategi tanya jawab. (3) Faktor-faktor yang mendasari penggunaan strategi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang di kelas 3 yaitu karakteristik siswa, dan kondisi siswa di kelas. Abstract:

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi siswa terhadap keterampilan dasar mengajar guru bahasa Jepang di SMA Negeri 1 Seririt. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas bahasa di SMA Negeri 1 Seririt. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode kuesioner dan wawancara. Data kuesioner akan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis kuantitatif, sedangkan wawancara dianalisis dengan teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 204 siswa, 63,23% siswa mempersepsikan guru bahasa Jepang sangat baik dan 36,77% siswa mempersepsikan guru bahasa Jepang baik. Secara umum persepsi siswa terhadap keterampilan dasar guru bahasa Jepang termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata hitung yang diperoleh 3,35. Kata Kunci : Persepsi, Keterampilan Dasar Mengajar 要旨本研究の目的はセリリト第一公立学校の日本語教師に関する学生により基本教える実技の知覚についてを分析する。調査協力者はすべてのセリリト第一公立学校の語学クラスの学生です。データはアンケート及びインタビューによって収集した。アンケートデータは定量的記述法により分析して、インタビュータは定性的記述法により分析した。調査結果は２０４人の学生の内、学生の６３,２３％が「日本語教師の基本教える実技が非常に良い」。又は学生の３６,７７％が「日本語教師の基本教える実技が良い」。一般的に、日本語教師の学生の知覚は平均で３,３５という「非常に良い」カテゴリーであることが分かった。 keyword : 分析する、基本教える実技

The objective of this study was to assess the validity of the Habitual Activity Estimation Scale (HAES) as parent proxy report about the physical activity levels of five- to six-years-old children. Twenty-three children were randomly selected from upper classes in a preschool in Hong Kong. The children's physical activity levels on one typical weekday and one typical weekend were obtained by having their parents completed the HAES questionnaire. And daily steps taken by children on four consecutive days including weekdays and weekend were collected by the pedometer (Yamax, SW-700). The pedometer data were used to assess its agreement with the HAES parent proxy report of the children's physical activity levels. The results showed that the step counts of children between weekdays and weekend as well as between genders were not significantly different. The result also indicated that there was no significant correlation between the HAES proxy report and the daily step counts of children on both weekdays and weekend. To conclude, the validity of HAES parent proxy report in assessing five-years-old preschool children's physical activity levels was low when compared with pedometer data. 本研究旨在評估由家長觀察兒童使用「Habitual Activity Estimation Scale (HAES)日常活動推算表」的有效度，邀請了二十三名五至六歲的幼稚圍生參與作為觀察之用，他們的父母觀察及記錄兒童於上課日和非上課日的日常活動，並以步行計記錄身體活動量來作分析。結果顯示：Habitual Activity Estimation Scale (HAES)和步行計的相關系數沒有出現顯著的相關，指出了Habitual Activity Estimation Scale (HAES)的效度不高。

Abstract:

Well-developed phonological awareness skills are central to the ultimate achievement of fluent alphabet-scripted literacy. This workshop at JALT2019 was focused on the benefits that can flow from short bursts of phonemic awareness activities in daily English classes, revolving around a sequence of nonprint activities that have been designed to heighten learners’ auditory reception and oral production of the smallest units of sound in the English language. These sounds, or phonemes, may or may not be present in learners’ primary languages. A sharpened awareness of individual phonemes and the ability to isolate and manipulate them can have the potential to open up the sound elements of alphabetic written text to those biscriptal learners who may have previously relied on the visual memorisation of spelling patterns. Phonemic insights into the alphabetic written code are especially important for learners with established literacy in the Chinese or Japanese written script. 発達した音韻認識スキルは、アルファベット表記テキストを読み書きする優れた能力を最大限習得するのに重要である。JALT2019のこのワークショップでは、日々の英語のクラスで音素認識活動を大量に行うことから生じる効果に焦点を当て，学習者による英語の最小単位の音の聴覚受容と口頭表現を高めるために設計された一連の非印字活動を提示した。これらの音や音素は、学習者の第一言語に存在する場合とそうでない場合があります。個々の音素に対する鋭敏な認識、およびそれらを区別し操作する能力は、これまでスペルパターンの視覚的記憶に頼っていたバイスクリプト（非アルファベット文字使用地域の）学習者に、アルファベット表記テキストの音声要素の理解への”道を切り開く”可能性がある。アルファベットの記述コードに対する音韻的洞察は、中国語や日本語の記述形式に慣れている学習者にとって特に重要である

Abstract:

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk dan makna onomatope pada video lagu anak-anak berbahasa Jepang. Analisis ini dilakukan berdasarkan teori semantik, onomatope Jepang, bentuk onomatope Jepang dan klasifikasi makna onomatope Jepang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data, dengan studi kepustakaan dan teknik catat yang kemudian data dianalisis untuk dapat mengklasifikasikan data sesuai rumusan masalah, serta mengasah keabsahan data menggunakan pustaka dan instrumen berupa kartu data. Pada data terdapat beberapa bentuk onomatope yaitu kata dasar, pemajemukan morfem (hanpukukei), pemadatan suara (sokuon),penasalan suara (haneruon) dan pemanjangan suara (chou’on). Kemudian onomatope terdapat 6 macam klasifikasi berdasarkan gambaran makna. Makna tersebut adalah tiruan bunyi benda (mono o dasu oto), suara binatang (doubutsu no nakigoe), suara manusia (hito no koe/oto), pergerakan benda (mono no ugoki), aktivitas atau pergerakan manusia (hito no dousa) dan keadaan hati atau perasaan manusia (hito no yousu/shinjou). Kata Kunci : onomatope Jepang, bentuk onomatope Jepang, klasifikasi onomatope Jepang. 要旨この研究の目的は、日本の子供の歌のビデオでオノマトペの形と意味を分析することです。この分析は、意味論、日本語の言語音、日本語の擬音語、日本の擬音語の形成、日本の擬音語の意味の分類、およびデータ収集の配列を研究結果に提示する定性的研究モデルのフレームワークを使用しています。この研究方法では、データ収集方法を使用し、文献調査と記録された手法を使用して、問題の定式化に従ってデータを分類できるようにデータを分析し、データカードの形式のライブラリと機器を使用してデータの有効性を高めます。見つかった結果には、日本の子供の歌のビデオにオノマトペという言葉の意味が含まれていました。子音文字データには、ソクオン、ハネルオン、シューオンのタイプがあります。擬音語には、その意味の記述に基づいて6種類の分類があります。意味は、モノをだすおと、どうぶつのいきごえ、ひとのこえ/おと、もののうごき、ひとのどうさ、ひとのようす/しんじょうですkeyword : キーワード：日本語のオノマトペ、日本語のオノマトペの形、オノマトペの種類

Abstract:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis (1) penggunaan buku Nihongo Kirakira dalam menerapkan pendekatan saintifik pada kurikulum 2013 di SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja, (2) kendala dan upaya yang terjadi ketika menggunakan buku Nihongo Kirakira dengan pendekatan saintifik. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah guru bahasa Jepang di SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1) guru telah menerapkan aspek-aspek pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran menggunakan buku Nihongo Kirakira. Aspek yang dimaksud yaitu mengamati, menanya, mencoba, mengasosiasi dan mengomunikasikan. (2) Kendala dan upaya guru dalam menggunakan buku Nihongo Kirakira yaitu tidak ada buku penunjang untuk siswa sehingga pada proses pembelajaran siswa lebih banyak mencatat. Guru menggunakan LCD saat menjelaskan pelajaran. Selain itu, kurangnya waktu mengajar karena selain menjelaskan materi pelajaran guru juga menjelaskan mengenai cara baca huruf Jepang (Hiragana dan Katakana).Kata Kunci : Nihongo Kirakira, kurikulum 2013, pendekatan saintifik 本研究の目的は、(1) シンガラジャ第3公高等学杯において、2013年カリキュラムに基づく「日本語キラキラ」の使用、(2)「日本語キラキラ」の問題点と解決方法を明らかにすることである。対象は、シンガラジャ第3公高等学杯の日本語教師である。データは、授業観察、インタビュー、撮影記録により収集し、定性的記述法により分析した。結果は、(1) 教師は「日本語キラキラ」教科書を使用し、授業における科学的アプローチの側面を実施した。つまり、科学的アプローチの中の五つの点、観察、質問、情報収集実験、関連付け情報処理、周囲への伝達を実践したことが分かった。(2)「日本語キラキラ」教科書使用の問題点と解決方法について、生徒のためのその「日本語キラキラ」教科書はなかったため、生徒は学習過程でノートを取るために時間がかかり。教師はLCDプロジェクターを使用した。さらに、教師が授業中でひらがなの読み方を教えるため、授業の時間はは不足している平仮名ことが分かった。keyword : 日本語キラキラ、2013年カリキュラム、科学的アプローチ

Abstract:

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku panduan instruktur diving di Matahari Dive Tulamben agar mampu memberi instruksi kepada wisatawan Jepang yang melakukan scuba diving. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Subjek penelitian ini adalah para instruktur diving di Matahari Dive Tulamben. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Menggunakan model pengembangan Sugiyono (2014). Ada 6 tahapan pada model pengembangan Sugiyono (2014), (1)potensi dan masalah, (2)pengumpulan data, (3)pengembangan produk, (4)validasi produk, (5)revisi produk, (6)produk final. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Buku panduan Scuba Diving Nihon Go Kaiwa terdiri dari 3 Bab. Bab I menyajikan pengetahuan umum tentang wisatawan Jepang meliputi katakteristik wisatawan Jepang, beberapa hal yang tidak disukai wisatawan Jepang, kebiasaan wisatawan Jepang. Bab II menyajikan pengetahuan umum bahasa Jepang meliputi pelafalan bahasa Jepang, ungkapan dasar bahasa Jepang, dan daftar kosa kata. Bab III menyajikan percakapan kepada wisatawan Jepang yang dibagi menjadi 10 tema. Berdasarkan hasil uji ahli isi dan uji ahli media pembelajaran, pembagian tema sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Produk dibuat sederhana disesuaikan dengan kondisi instruktur, bahasa yang digunakan dalam buku mudah dipahami tetapi disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan. Desain buku panduan menarik dan mudah dibawa. Kata Kunci : Kata kunci: buku panduan, scuba diving, instruktur diving 本研究は、調査開発研究（Research and Development）であり、スキューバダイビングを目的とした日本人観光客のため、トゥランベンマタハリダイブ協会のダイビングインストラクターが日本語で解説できるよう日本語会話のガイドブックを作成することを目的としたものである。。データは、観察、インタビュー、アンケート調査により収集し、定性的記述法により分析した。ガイドブックの作成にあたっては (1)可能性と問題 (2)データ収集 (3)書籍開発(4)書籍バリデーション (5)書籍修正 (6)ファイナルという経過を通った。結果、(1)作成したガイドブック『スキューバダイビング日本語会話』は3部からとなり、第1部は日本人に関する知識が含まれ、習慣、日本の好み、注意する点について取り上げる。第２部は日本語知識例えば、基本的挨拶、発音、単語が含まれる。第3部は10のテーマからとなり日本人とそれぞれの場面の会話練習を取り上げる。(3)本研究で作成したガイドブックは内容及び構成について、専門家により必要とされているものを満たし、記載されている会話も理解できるものであり、デザイン、サイズ、内容も認められた。keyword : ガイドブック、スキューバダイビング、ダイビングインストラクター

Abstract:

Bamboo-slip manuscripts from Zhoujiatai tomb 30, Hubei (burial dated ca. 209 b.c.e.), provide important evidence of ancient Chinese occult manuscripts belonging to a man of modest status. One manuscript, identified as a rishu “day book” by the modern editors of the Zhoujiatai manuscripts, treats of hemerology and astrology and is the focus of this study. The bamboo slips of a calendar for years corresponding to 211–210 b.c.e. can be associated with the rishu and may have formed one manuscript unit. The contents of the rishu include two large-size diagrams related to hemerological and astro-calendrical systems. The first diagram involves calculations based on the position of the handle of the Dipper constellation and the second diagram is notable for reference to one of the years (211 b.c.e.) of the associated calendar. A third diagram, for which the title rong liri “rong calendar day [divination]” is written on the manuscript, has a slightly different form in a second occurrence on the manuscript. Both forms of the diagram show thirty lines arranged in a vertical column, corresponding to the thirty days of the ideal month, with some lines enclosed in boxes. Days of the month are counted in the sequence of lines on the diagram in order to determine the lucky and unlucky aspects of a given day. A related hemerological system is attested in a manuscript from Mawangdui tomb 3, Hunan (burial dated 168 b.c.e.), and in medieval occult manuscripts from Dunhuang. 湖北省周家臺30號墓簡(約公元前209年)提供了關於古代中國一名低級官吏所擁有的數術簡的寶貴資料。本文主要研究其中由整理者认定为《日書》的簡文及其涉及的擇日、星象等內容。同墓出土的暦譜(公元前211–210年)與《日書》相關,可能本來屬於同一卷簡冊。《日書》包括兩幅大圖,一個與擇日有關,一個與星象曆法體系有關。第一圖講基於北斗七星斗柄指向的算法,第二圖因爲涉及到暦譜記載公元前211年的內容而受到矚目。另外第三幅圖簡文記述其名曰“戎磿日”,存在兩個稍微不同的版本。兩個版本的圖都是由縱向排列的三十條橫綫構成,代表一个月的理想天数三十,並和周圍的綫條組成方框。按照圖中橫綫的順序判斷每個月中相應的那一天是否吉利。與此相關的擇日法也在湖南馬王堆3號墓(約公元前168年)與中古時期敦煌的數術文獻中出現。

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan Hannafin dan Peck. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi, wawancara, angket dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) berdasarkan hasil uji ahli materi dan media pembelajaran, buku ajar ini sangat sesuai, (2) berdasarkan respons guru dan siswa, buku ajar yang dikembangkan sangat sesuai dan layak digunakan. Diharapkan buku ajar yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bahasa Jepang di SD Mutiara Singaraja.
