Abstract:
The article discusses possibilities offered by a regional perspective for a more comprehensive understanding of the rise and fall of socialism in Eastern Asia. It suggests that a regional perspective brings into view interactions among radicals that are absent from or marginal to nationally based accounts. A regional approach requires attention to region-formation itself as a problem. Regions are not just physical entities that are given but are themselves subject to ongoing construction and reconstruction. 摘要 2010 年 5 月《全球華語詞典》 及 2015 年 4 月《全球華語大詞典》的相繼續出版，充分證明了當今世界性華語大家庭的真實存在。這兩本詞典的問世全面展示出當今全球華語詞彙集的總體共時面貌，同時也明白無誤顯示出各區域華語之間的詞語異同。 世界華語各大區域詞語的差異主要以中國大陸、中国台灣、中国港澳、新馬四大塊地域為其代表。其中中國大陸為當今華語的母體和主體，而中国台灣、中国港澳、新馬等地均為子體和異體。 世界華語區域詞語的差異成因主要源於下列三個方面：一是各區域存在著反映各自不同的社會制度、政經面貌、歷史地理、人文習俗，以及當地特有的事物和物產等；二是某些地區有著數目和地位不同的外國語言、漢語方言和方言文化的影響；三是某些地區的部分華語詞語的詞義和詞用產生了在地性變異或變化。 目前相應的對策應該是：（1）詳盡地細緻地描寫並記錄全球華語大家庭的的詞彙概貌及其異同；（2）深入地分析並剖析它們之間的相同、相似、相異的程度和成因；（3）通過交流、教學和研討，增進各區域相互之間的理解與溝通；（4）逐步通過專家篩選和社會使用（約定俗成），推動相互的流通、吸收、協調和融合，逐步達成最大程度的共同化和一體化。

摘要 海峽兩岸因為地理分隔、生活習慣差異、社會制度差異等各項因素，導致語詞也產生了諸多差異用法，或者同實異詞，如：「留職停薪」與「保職停薪」、或者異實同詞，如：「可愛」在大陸會帶有幼稚的意思；在台灣，可愛是非常普遍，跨年齡、跨性別的正面稱讚。語詞差異對於相同母語但地理分隔的地區而言，其實是一種普通也正常的現象，英語地區如此，前述的兩岸差異產生不同語詞，自然也是。 不過這些地理與社會差異，直接導致的應該是不同地區的人對於事物判斷的邏輯思維差異，然後才造成了語詞創建及應用之差異。例如醫療上的「靜脈注射」，大陸叫「輸液」，其命名邏輯思維是著眼於藥液透過較長管線「輸送」至人體的特性；台灣叫「點滴」，則是著眼於藥液進入管線時之「藥量可控制性」。明顯的兩岸對於這種注射方式感興趣的特徵處、特殊性之邏輯觀點不同。又如電腦使用的「鼠標」，台灣叫「滑鼠」，「鼠」當然來自英語的「mouse」，「標」之邏輯觀點著眼於「可標準定位性」、「滑」則看見了鼠標可以在屏幕上的「任意移動性」。再如「打橫炮」，台灣叫「攪局」，明顯的已是語詞在最初取材時的觀點與邏輯不同，一取自鞭炮、一取自棋局，語詞自然也就呈現完全差異。 兩岸語詞差異的材料收集與類型研究已經很多，本文則特別著重在兩岸各種差異所導致的社會邏輯與觀點差異之溯源比較，因為語詞差異固然可以因為交流而互相了解並進行溝通，但是長期分治之後導致人們的邏輯觀點差異，甚或

LANGUAGE NOTE | Document text in Chinese; abstract also in English.由於新冠病毒的特性和難以防诸，新冠肺炎病毒很快成為全球性的流行病。而在此疫情中，受到感染和死亡的地區與人數急升，不但造成全球性的恐慌，同時產生許多心理、生活和文化上的嚴重問題。本文從倫理與文化，特別是儒家的精神，檢討我們與此病毒共存時，如何調整我們的生活與價值，建立生命共同體的觀念，以減輕或免除由此嚴峻疫情所受到的個人與社會的創傷和後遺症。本文分析了在地球村的緊密關係之下，我們必須保持有效的防疫工作才可以開封和進行經濟生產、物品流通，否則會在目前和日後不斷發生重覆的社區感染。人類必須圑結互助、共同承擔和接受各種不便，互讓互該、助人助己，才能夠平安渡過此一巨大災難。公共衛生的防疫工作是一涉及個人自由與公共安全的嚴重的道德兩難的課題。在防疫上，我們的個人行動實涉及他人的生命安全與權益，我們必須放棄以個人自由權利為優先的觀點，採取在生活共同體中的仁愛與對他人的苦難所具有的同情共感的自我要求，以共同義務與關懷為主，這實是一「為己為人」的雙重義務，在疫情流行中，更需要發揮「老吾老以及人之老，幼吾幼以及人之幼」之仁愛精神；在工作上必謹守敬慎原則，超前部署防疫工作，防範醫療體崩潰，在疫情的政策要公開、透明、問責、方可望全民共同努力，共渡難關，實現「養生送死無憾」的
