ABSTRACT Vector control strategy has been considered as one of the most effective methods in achieving high dynamic performance of induction motor drives. Applying vector control methods to an induction motor can decouple its complicated nonlinear dynamics and hence good speed and torque responses can be acquired. With the maturity of the vector control techniques the induction motor will replace the separately excited DC motor in industrial application for high accuracy. In the implementation of vector-controlled induction motor drives, the electrical parameters of the motor must be exactly known for optimal dynamic performance of the motor. If the motor’s electrical parameters are not estimated precisely, the slip may not be calculated accurately, thus induces coupling between the direct and guadrature axis of rotor fluxes and currents leading to the performance reduction of vector-controlled induction motor drives. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a self-commissioning scheme for vector-controlled induction motor drives. The tunning program is run on a personal computer connected to a control circuit board of a power converter, then a sequence of test signals are injected into the motor drives for estimating the motor’s electrical parameters. Simulation results are presented illustrating the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract This research is discussed about self-control in the general theory of crime by Gottfredson and Hirschithe and three discipline aspects---preventive discipline, supportive discipline, and corrective discipline. It examines the correlation between parents, teachers, school shaping disciplines and the self-control ability among the senior schoolchildren in elementary schools in Banqiao. A total of 760 samples were collected by purposive sampling, including 380 boys and 380 girls coming from the four public elementary schools in Banqiao. Data is analyzed by the means of descriptive analysis, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, item analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis and nested regression. There are three findings : (1)The overall parents shaping discipline with the self-control presents to be connected. That is, when the overall parents shaping discipline is higher, the self-control of the senior schoolchildren in elementary schools will be higher. When parents shaping discipline is lower, the self-control of the senior schoolchildren in elementary schools will be lower. (2)The teacher supportive discipline affects schoolchildren's self-control through teacher preventive discipline. In the condition of the teacher supportive discipline, when the teacher preventive discipline is higher, the self-control of the senior schoolchildren in elementary schools will be higher. When the teacher preventive discipline is lower, the self-control of the senior schoolchildren in elementary schools will be lower. (3)The school preventive discipline affects the whole self-control through the school supportive discipline. In the condition of the school supportive discipline, when the teacher's preventive discipline is higher, the self-control of the senior schoolchildren in elementary schools will be higher. When the teacher's preventive discipline is lower, the self-control of the senior schoolchildren in elementary schools will be lower. Based on the findings, three suggestions are provided in this research: (1)The school discipline shaping should be concerned on preventive discipline and supportive discipline in elementary schools. Schools should give schoolchildren more concerns and expectations, surveillances and rewards, rather than take the correction discipline as the only way. (2)Although the discipline shaping is based on the authority of parents and teachers, the more important is to let schoolchildren understand the true significance of punishes by parents and teachers, and the concern and expectation of parents. (3)If parents and teachers can establish a way of communication, they can understand and supervise schoolchildren's behavior at any time. That’s not only let schoolchildren understand the request and the importance of the discipline standard, but also be more helpful for schoolchildren's self-control ability.

A Study on the Relations among Social Attachment, Self-control and Deviant Behaviors for the Junior High School Students in Taipei Metropolitan Area:A comparison between the New Immigrant’s Children and the Local Students. Abstract This main purpose of this study was designed to investigate social attachment self-control and deviant Behaviors for junior high school students in the status quo, And grade, gender, parents circumstances, parental education, family type and other factors on the junior high school students on the impact of differences in deviant behavior.This study used questionnaires to junior high school students inTaipei metropolitan area for the study, 605 students selected for the study sample.research tools include: social attachment scale, self-control scale and deviance scale, the resulting sample data analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation test and nested regression analysis for statistical analysis. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Mother of different nationalities in a difference in deviant behavior, local students was significantly lower than new immigrants children. 2. Mother of different nationalities in a difference in social attachment, and the Chinese nationality group were lower than local students. 3. Mother of different nationalities in a difference in self-control, Immigrant children's overall self-control than local students. 4. Mother of different nationalities in a difference in parent attchment.There is a difference in Chinese nationality group of peer attachment, and the deer attachmentof Chinese nationality junior high school studentsis lower than local students .Threr is no difference in school attchment. 5. If the Parents attachment of junior high school students were stronger , the self-control would be stronger. 6. If the Parents attachment of junior high school students were stronger , the deviant behaviors would be lower. 7. If the self-control of junior high school students were stronger , the deviant behaviors would be lower. Based on these findings, implications for theory and practice were discussed.
