Abstract:
Room-temperature single-crystal X-ray structure determinations are recorded for a number of adducts of hydrated lanthanoid(III) chlorides with 2,2′-bipyridine, ‘bpy’, crystallized from water/ethanol solutions, which contain mononuclear arrays with 1 : 1 Ln/bpy stoichiometry. Extended isomorphous series have been defined pertinent to the heavy end of the Ln series: crystals of LnCl3/bpy/H2O (1 : 1 : 6) ([(bpy)Ln(OH2)6]Cl3), seemingly inclusive of (at least) the range Ln = Ho(-)Lu and Y, are monoclinic, P 21/n, a ≈ 14·2, b ≈ 7·7, c ≈ 17·4 Å, β ≈ 91°, Z = 4, with an eight-coordinate LnN2O6 array;

Abstract:
Introduction Research has shown that acute physical activity (PA) enhances executive functions (EFs). However, it is still not fully understood, what underlying mechanism and associated PA characteristics are responsible for these effects. Derived from unsystematic investigations, social interaction (SI) is proposed as one factor that might positively influence these effects. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effects of PA, SI, and their combination on EFs. Methods A total of 96 sports students aged 17 to 26 years (M = 20.51, SD = 1.73; 50% female) underwent four

Abstract Recent reports have shown an exaggerated response of 17-hydroxyprogesterone in up to 70% of patients with incidentally detected adrenal adenomas ('incidentalomas'). This has been explained by pre-existing 21-hydroxylase deficiency which may be a pathogenetic factor in the development of adrenal tumours. However, other defects in steroidogenesis, such as mild 11β-hydroxylase deficiency, could also result in increased 17-hydroxyprogesterone secretion. Background: Primary adrenal (PA) diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) was previously reported as an aggressive subset of DLBCL, but its genetic features were not sufficiently characterized. From our previous study of DLBCL with programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) gene alterations, we focused on PD-L1 gene alterations in PA-DLBCL with clinicopathologic implications. Methods: We performed fluorescence in situ hybridization for PD-L1 gene translocation and amplification in PA-DLBCL (n = 18) and comparatively analyzed clinicopathologic characteristics with systemic non-adrenal (NA)-DLBCL (n = 90).
