Abstract We carried out survey observations for Hα emission stars in six Kiso areas A-0831 (5° × 5°, centered at α = 5h 20m, δ = +5°), A-0832 (α = 5h40m, δ = +5°), A-0833 (α = 6h40m, δ = +5°), A-0902 (α = 5h00m, δ = +0°), A-0905 (α = 6h40m, δ = +0°), and A-0974 (α = 5h00m, δ = –5°) in a series of extensive surveys in the Orion region. The observations were made using the Kiso Schmidt telescope. The numbers of detected Hα emission stars were 4, 3, 6, 3, 12, and 20 for areas A-0831, A-0832, A-0833, A-0902, A-0905, and A-0974, respectively. In a series of emission-line star survey programs we have conducted wide and deep survey observations for Hα emission stars in the Orion star-forming region. The first result for the Kiso area A-0904 (5°x5°, centered at α = 5h40m and δ = +0°) was presented in Paper I (Wiramihardja et al., 1989), followed by Paper II (Kogure et al., 1989) for the area A-0903 (α = 5h20m, δ = −5° and A-0976 (α = 5h40m, δ = −5°). In Paper IV the results for the areas A-1047 (α = 5h20m, δ = −10° and A-1048 (α = 5h40m, δ = −10°) are given.

We consider the generalized particle dynamics, that we proposed [S. Das et al., J. High. Energy Phys.0904 (2009) 115] in braneworld formalisms for an asymptotically anti-de Sitter background. The present framework results in a new model that accounts for the late acceleration of the universe. An effective dark energy equation of state, exhibiting a phantom-like behavior, is generated. The model is derived by embedding the physical FLRW universe in a (4 + 1)-dimensional effective spacetime, induced by the generalized particle dynamics.
