The complexes have been characterised by IR and NMR spectroscopy and by elemental analysis. The δ(119Sn) values for the complexes 1 - 3 are -543.0, -414.2 and -398.2 ppm respectively, indicating hexacoordinated Sn centers. These have been ascertained by X-ray crystal

Objectives Knee osteoarthritis is one of the most common musculoskeletal problems in older adults. Pain, stiffness, tenderness, decreased muscle strength and joint range of motion, impaired proprioception, and balance problems lead to impaired physical function, making the person incapable of performing functional activities. Therefore, it is necessary to use strategies to control and reduce the complications of this disease and improve the daily functional activities of patients. Objective: The negative consequences of enuresis in children can be far reaching and an understanding of the impact of these is essential for effective treatment by the clinician. Enuresis can be categorized into monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis (MNE) and non-monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis (NMNE). There have been several studies in treatment of MNE with lyophilizate desmopressin melt but very limited research into the efficacy of desmopressin melt in treating NMME. Currently, a severe complication associated with pathological invasion of the placenta has arisen in modern obstetrics, which according to the ICD has a separate code — placenta accreta (043.2). The proportion of this pathology is growing every year, making a significant contribution to maternal morbidity and mortality. The possibility of timely correct diagnosing and determining predictors that contribute to the formation of this pathology is one of the main tasks of obstetrics in the near future. The effects of feeding diets containing graded levels of cereal processing offal as a replacement for maize on growth performance of broiler chickens was evaluated in this study. One hundred and ninety-five (195) day old broiler chicks were divided into five (5) groups of forty (39) birds. Each group was further divided into three replicates of thirteen (13) birds in a Completely Randomized Design. Five experimental diets were formulated such that offal obtained from processing of cereal grains replaced maize at 0 (control), 15, 30, 45 and 60 % in the diets given to the five groups of birds. T

Abstract Background Insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) is homologous to proinsulin and possesses glucose reducing activity. The association between the level of IGF-I and diabetes has been highlighted. However, this association is controversial due to the influence of different factors including obesity. The aim of the study was to evaluate serum level of IGF-I in type 2 diabetic patients compared to control subjects.
