Bostryx scalariformis (Mollusca, Gastropoda) es un molusco terrestre endémico de las lomas costeras de la costa central del Perú que habita principalmente las zonas arenosas. Sólo se encuentran individuos vivos en las siguientes lomas del departamento de Lima: Ancón, Pasamayo, Lachay y Cerro de Agua. Además, posee morfotipos geográficamente aislados, uno en Ancón-Pasamayo y el otro en Lachay-Cerro de Agua. La fragmentación de su hábitat y la disminución en su tamaño poblacional pueden haber conllevado al decremento en su diversidad genética y una diferenciación genética entre sus poblaciones.

This group is as phylogenetically distinct from other Gram-negative enterics, including <I>Escherichia coli</I>, as they are from Gram-positive organisms. Foram coletadas 126 amostras de muco nasal/tonsilar, e fragmentos de 78 pulmões, 2 de traquéia e 2 de tonsila. No isolamento foi utilizado o meio FRIIS modificado, na identificação, a Multiplex-PCR e na tipificação, a PFGE e sequenciamento do gene 16S rRNA. Foram obtidos 59 isolados identificados como M. hyopneumoniae (1,70%), M. flocculare (3,40%) e M. hyorhinis (94,90%). Seventeen bacterial strains were isolated from 9 marine mud samples from the inshore environments of the East Sea. Four bacterial strains showed an inhibition against all tested microorganisms Staphylococcus aureus ATCC10832, Escherichia coli JM109, and Fusarium oxysporum. 16S rRNA sequences of four bacterial strains were obtained by PCR using specific primers. PCR products were cloned into E. coli DH5a using pJET1.2 blunt vector. The recombinant plasmids were sequenced and the lengths of these 16S rRNA sequences were ~930bp.
