Stefanelly, David. "Affirmation puis effacement du mouvement légitimiste sous la Seconde République à partir de la correspondance de Paul de Dieuleveult." Paris, EHESS, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014EHES0031.
Full textIt is a question of showing how the legitimist movement, althought in a strong position in the local and national scales at the beginning of the Second Republic, suffers a final setback which ends in a political disappearance. The proclamation of the Second Republic allows, indeed, the return the foreground of the legitimists. Presents both at the level local and national, they process multiple assets in the beginnings of the new regime. At the local level, the various elections allow the assertion of traditional legitimist notables, particularly in the West. Also, in the national level, thanks to the elections to the Constituent Assembly in April, 1848 then to the Legislative in May, 1849, the legitimist members of Parliament appear there measure to stand out and participate actively in the political fight against the left. They are also the carriers of an innovative project. Nevertheless, in spite of this dynamism, the legitimists fall at eveiy level to undergo a political, national and local disappearance, after December 2nd, 1851. From a national point of view, the coalition of the rights remains fragile and heterogeneous because of divergent and inflexible ideological positions. Also, from a local point of view, coup d'Etat of December 2nd, 1851 and proclamation of the Second Empire end in a quasi-general political disappearance of legitimists, in particular of their western lands. New rival political elites, spread from the power up to there, take advantage of it to take the power
Figueroa, Jeannette. "Le travail de la forme et de l'image : approche clinique et esthétique des représentations formelles." Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015USPCC296.
Full textFrom « the emergence » of the figurative forms within the therapeutic space in lack of representations and words, we question its advent and its tensioning with the opening of « a space of formai representation », as place of strain and emergence of the subject. This experience put in parallel with the esthetic shape, opens up the possibility of exploring the gangplank between psychic and artistic creation, underpinning themselves on the bodily anchoring and the protean potential of the psychic raw material. In this sense, we interrogate the emergence of shape in Francis Bacon's pictorial universe, and also in Nicolaï Gogol's and Honoré de Balzac' s literature
Pickford, Susan. "Le récit de voyage de Laurence Sterne à Gustave Doré : naissance et évolution d'un genre européen." Toulouse 2, 2006. http://www.theses.fr/2006TOU20086.
Full textThis thesis focuses on eccentric travel writing in French, German, and English from 1760 to 1851. The thesis defines eccentric travel writing as a sub-genre of anti-travel writing, characterised by deliberately apparent manipulation of the narrative using techniques such as the presence of the authorial voice, digression, and atypical paratext as a means of subverting the travel writing pact by dissociating narrative space from narrated space. The author of an eccentric travel narrative lays bare the materiality of the book as a means of destroying the illusion of the reader travelling in the diegesis alongside the narrator. This illusion, produced by description, is fundamental to travel writing, allowing it to stake a claim as a genre to utility and referentiality. The second part of this work focuses on a number of case studies, examining the function of textual, narrative, and paratextual eccentricity in the works of Laurence Sterne, Jean Paul, Xavier de Maistre, William Combe and Thomas Rowlandson, Rodolphe Töpffer, and Gustave Doré. The thesis also focuses on the way the sub-genre is shaped by its publishing context. The eccentric travel narrative deliberately positioned itself on the fringes of a publishing market in which the travel narrative enjoyed great commercial success; in turn, this publishing market fed on the democratisation of travel and the first hesitant steps of the modern tourism industry. The sub-genre’s narrative and visual eccentricity reflect its desire to position itself ex-centrically, on the margins, of a publishing market increasingly prone to commercialisation
Reymond, Adrien. "Zola et le droit public d'après son Excellence Eugène Rougon." Thesis, Paris 2, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014PA020033.
Full textThe purpose of this research work is to study the political and legal thought of Zola in Son Excellence Eugène Rougon and to understand to what extent the author can be considered as a historian of law. This sixth novel of the cycle Les Rougon Macquart, hardly seems to have been studied that from a literary or purely historic point of view. Yet, by opening for the first time this novel, the jurist is surprised hearing the writer to speak to him so well notions and institutions which he knows. He notices while the naturalistic literature of the writer makes relive with a big perspicacity the Second Empire, fundamental time in the history of institutions, administrative law and public liberties. The novelist so reconstitutes under the eyes two trials in front of the Council of State, at the very moment when the « recours pour excès de pouvoir » is growing and the « ministre juge » theory, in decline. Also, about thirty years before the works of Moisei Ostrogorski, the Rougon’s« bande » appears, as a « political party » before the term existed and allows Zola - in the course of its descriptions - to show its fine qualities of political analyst. As for the public liberties (the freedom of the media in particular), they will not escape the acerbic criticism of a republican writer. These criticisms - which let for a long time think that Zola was the privileged author of the « légende noire du Second Empire » - are in reality, more subtle than it countered there. The clear-sightedness of the man of letters allows so more than ever to light the man of right avid to understand its own univers
