Abstract:
Some taxonomic and nomenclatural inconsistencies in the Scolopendridae are clarified. Heterostoma cribriferum var. robustum Haase, 1887 is placed in synonymy under Ethmostigmus rubripes platycephalus (Newport, 1845), and the synonymy of Congobius Dobroruka, 1968 and Parotostigmus Pocock, 1896 (a valid subgenus of Otostigmus Porat, 1876) is formalized. The nomen novum Scolopendra attemsi is proposed for Trachycormocephalus intermedius Attems, 1928, to avert homonymy with S. intermedia Porat, 1871, upon transferring the former into Scolopendra. The following seven new combinations are proposed: Scolopendra lutea (Attems, 1928) (transferred from Arthrorhabdus); S. arenicola (Lawrence, 1975), S. koreana (Verhoeff, 1934), S. langi (Chamberlin, 1927), S. monticola (Lawrence, 1975) and S. zuluana (Lawrence, 1958) (all from Trachycormocephalus); Otostigmus (Parotostigmus) kivuensis (Dobroruka, 1968) (from Congobius). Additionally, two subspecies of Rhysida nuda (Newport, 1845) — somala Manfredi, 1933 and subnuda Jangi, 1955 — are assigned to R. immarginata (Porat, 1876).

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
This overview of the Luciolinae addresses the fauna of S. E. Asia including India, Sri Lanka, China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, the Republic of Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, and the Australopacific area of Australia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji.Of the 28 genera now recognised in the Luciolinae we address 27 genera from the study area as defined above, including three new genera which are described herein, and 222 species including 13 species newly described herein. Photuroluciola Pic from Madagascar is the only Luciolinae genus not addressed here. A key to genera is presented. Keys to species are either included here or referenced in existing literature. While phylogenetic analyses indicate their distinctiveness, no further taxonomic action is taken with Luciola cruciata Motschulsky 1854 and L. owadai Sâtô et Kimura 1994 from Japan given the importance of the former as a national icon. Analyses also indicate that Lampyroidea syriaca Costa 1875 belongs in Luciola s. str. A much wider taxonomic analysis of this genus including all the species is necessary before any further action can be taken.

Abstract:

Abstract: This thesis, entered the field of Linguistic History of Ideas in a linkage with the Discourse Analysis, aims at analyzing the discursive the effects of senses of formulation of rules and increases in grammars Julio Ribeiro, Said Ali and Evanildo Bechara. These were the texts and grammar rules, which here we call grammatical increases, we did consider his discoursivities, relating the language to exteriority, understanding that this relationship is of mutual constitution. Accordingly, we analyze the procedures for formulating the rule, in view of what is in the body of the text and the notes and comments, considering the particular conditions of grammatisation in Brazil, country of Portuguese colonization. The questions that guide our reflection are: How do you build the imaginary completeness of the language? How this subject arises in relation to language in Brazil compared the language of Portugal? What kind of "incompleteness" is that it seeks to "fill" the Brazilian grammars? What is your relationship with the tension between the language - the norm - of Portugal and Brazil? Here, firstly, the presentation of the concept of grammatisation languages, process which includes the issue of formulation of the rule and the norm. In a second step, we treat the rules and increases grammatical in the field historical-discursive, discussing the standardization of the language, through the rules. We also discussed the issue of the production of knowledge about the language, to see how it gives the formulation of rules in the body of the text and in the increases in selected grammars and then made a general presentation of parts of grammars, bringing some general rules for analysis and cutting to specific analysis, rules for placement of atonic pronouns, seeking to realize the establishment of the norm, for the rules formulation and the increases in Brazilian grammars

Abstract:
The discovery of limits and paradoxes in the field of mathematics or of physics sometimes leads to a “subjective drama of the scientist”, as expressed by Lacan himself. The structure of the scientist’s personality is decisive and we incline overmuch to subjective reorganisations in the case of well-known mathematicians having a psychotic structure. The life of Georg Cantor, Janos Bolyai, Kurt Gödel and John Nash are considered according to this point of view. It is with regard to the neurotic position towards reality that the nature of what favours the psychotic subject in the field of the mathematical creativity can be examined, even if he often pays high price for his own discoveries. I want to show that the place of mathematics as a “sinthome”, where there is the “Nom-du-Père” in the neurosis, comes to favour the psychotic mathematician. The psychosis starts when this replacement cannot play its role any further, that is to say when it shows its failing to make the “knot” of structure hold
