Abstract:
A magyar hivatásos tűzoltóság idén ünnepli 150 éves jubileumát. Az évfordulót 1870. február 1-jétől számítjuk, amikor megkezdte működését a fővárosban az ország első hivatásos tűzoltósága. A szerző a fővárosi hivatásos tűzoltóság másfél évszázadát mutatja be, kitérve a megalakítás körülményeire, korszakonként ismertetve a szervezeti és a műszaki fejlődés fontos állomásait. A történeti áttekintés tartalmazza a kiemelkedő személyiségeket és az emlékezetes tűzeseteket is. A közlemény a 2020. február 3-án a Belügyminisztériumban megrendezett ünnepi konferencián bemutatott előadáshoz kapcsolódik, melynek gazdag képanyaga teszi teljessé a 150 év bemutatását, azonban a jelen közleményben terjedelmi okokból nincs lehetőség a megjelenítésére.

Abstract:
Although it is self-evident that today’s groundwater issues have a history that frames both problems and responses, these histories have received scant attention in the socio-hydrogeological literature to date. This paper aims to enrich the field of socio-hydrogeology with a novel, historical perspective on groundwater management whilst simultaneously demonstrating the value to water history of engaging with groundwater. This is achieved by applying hydrogeological, socio-hydrogeological, and historical methods in an interdisciplinary and collaborative research process while analysing a case study of urban groundwater management over a 150-year period. In the German capital Berlin, local aquifers have always been central to its water supply and, being close to the surface, have made for intricate interactions between urban development and groundwater levels. The paper describes oscillations in groundwater levels across Berlin’s turbulent history and the meanings attached to them. It demonstrates the value to socio-hydrogeology of viewing the history of groundwater through a socio-material lens and to urban history of paying greater attention to subsurface water resources. The invisibility and inscrutability associated with groundwater should not discourage attention, but rather incite curiosity into this underexplored realm of the subterranean city, inspiring scholars and practitioners well beyond the confines of hydrogeology.

Abstract:
Background:The oligo-articular JIA is a disease that begins in childhood and can lead to joint damage and disability in adulthood with significant social losses. Objectives:The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical and laboratory status and to develop an algorithm of managment adult patients with oligo articular variant of JIA, depending on the detection of RF or/and A-CCP, ANA, HLA-B27.Methods:The study included 168 adult patients from different regions of Ukraine who were diagnosed with JIA in childhood between 1984 and 2014 without severe comorbidities. Inclusion criteria were: age 16 to 60 years; duration of the disease > 3 years. Among patients with JIA were identified 64 patients with oligo-articular variant: 44 (26,2%) - with persistant oligo-arthritis, and 20 (11,9%) with extended oligo-arthritis. The disease activity was evaluated by DAS28 and JADAS-10. The questionaries SF-36, HAQ, TAS-20, PHQ-9 were analyzed and remote articular JADI-A and extra-articular JADI-E damages were evaluated. Statistical studies were performed using IBM SPPS Statistics version 25.0.0.0 software, the results were considered to be reliable at 5% critical level (P <0.05). The distribution of quantitative variables was tested by the Shapiro-Wilk test. Quantitative variables with a normal distribution were expressed as mean ± SD, quantitative variables that showed a non-normal distribution were expressed with a median (P25-P75), also performed correlative analysis of the variablesResults:It was found that patients with active JIA in 26.5% have depression according to the PHQ-9, while patients in remission have no signs of depression. Most adult patients with JIA (86.4%) have elevated and high levels of alexithymia. The predictors of JIA remission in adulthood are male sex (OR = 0.453; 95% CI 0.253-3.556); arthritis of more than 3 joints (OR = 0.459; 95% CI 0.347-0.770); wrist arthritis in childhood (OR = 0.082; 95% CI 0.009-0.739) and JADAS-10 in the disease onset (OR = 0.758; 95% CI 0.589-0.896) <6 points, treatment with IB in the history (OR = 0,767; 95% CI 0.054-0.811) and the duration of DMARDS treatment (OR = 0.741; 95% CI 0.636-0.863) > 1.5 years. The negative correlation of JADI-A and the patient’s physical well-being PCS (r = -0.27, p <0.05) and physical functioning (r = -0.24, p < 0.05), pain intensity (r = -0.24, p <0.05), general health (r = -0.24, p <0.05), vital activity (r = -0,19, p <0,05), social functioning (r = -0,27, p <0,05), mental health (r = -0,22, p <0,05) according to SF-36. The severity of extra-articular damages JADI-E correlated with PCS (r = -0.22, p <0.05) and physical functioning (r = -0.28, p<0.05), pain intensity (r = -0.20, p <0.05), general health (r = -0.23, p <0.05), and mental health (r = -0.23, p <0.05), but also had a positive correlation with HAM-A (r = 0.25, p <0.05), depression scale (r = 0.28, p <0.05) and PHQ-9 (r = 0.28, p <0.05). Significantly lower level of physical health was established in patients who requires prosthetics (p <0.001) compared to those who did not need prosthetics. Conclusion:Based on the obtained results, algorithms of management of adult patients with JIA oligoarthritis were developed, depending on the detected articular and extra-articular damages and the need for prosthetics and the psychological status.Disclosure of Interests:None declared

Abstract:
In a Christian burial, the pastor reads from Scripture about the Resurrection. After the burial, Christians often say: “Now he / she has reached the heavenly glory.” Is that a contradiction? In 2020, we celebrated one of the most significant hymn books in The Church of Norway, published in 1870. The editor, Magnus Brostrup Landstad, wrote many of the hymns himself. This article is a study of the eschatology in these hymns, with an emphasis on how Landstad combined the two motives.

Abstract:
This research discusses the importance of historical research as it serves to determine ideas and helps to group historical facts into explanatory scientific systems. Thus, by systematically documenting this knowledge contributes to develop and improve the theory and practice of education. Since design education in Sri Lankan is nearly two decades old, subject areas such as Graphic design lacks the needed literature on early Sri Lankan graphic practices that determine and contribute towards clarifying current and future trends built on historical research. The historical data that contributes to these subject areas are found at archival locations, and the preservation process in such locations limits us from the opportunity to observe historical data (primary data); that is required to establish new knowledge; in this case graphic design. Thus, this research aims towards documenting historical data towards building new knowledge. To achieve this, the historical data: specific to early book cover prints are compared with a literature survey on early printing technologies and on how they are identified. For this, the primary data (early book covers) from archival locations, were documented and visually observed with the use of a linen-prover magnifying glass with x4 enlarging capacity. The findings were compared with literature on different print technologies used during this era with the knowledge on how to identify them. The findings were compiled into stimuli for the analysis purpose. And finally, the gathered data was chronologically compiled as new knowledge. In conclusion, we were able to determine the technology used in early prints, more specific to print technology used during the early book publishing and printing industry of Sri Lanka. Since the data is chronologically (1870-1920) compiled we were able to identify patterns that help build new knowledge into other subject areas. It opens up discussion on historical trends in book cover designs, parameters of each technology used in Sri Lanka that influence book layout, its typography and letter composition for further research.

Ceravolo, R. "Condition Assessment, Monitoring and Preservation of Some Iconic Concrete Structures of the 20th Century." In IABSE Symposium, Wroclaw 2020: Synergy of Culture and Civil Engineering – History and Challenges. International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), 2020. http://dx.doi.org/10.2749/wroclaw.2020.0054.

Abstract:
<p>Great architects and structural engineers such as Berg (1870-1947), Maillart (1872-1940), Freyssinet (1879- 1962), Torroja (1899 -1961), Nervi (1891-1979), Candela (1910-1997), Isler (1926-2009) and many others have designed recognized works of art in their discipline. They conceived extraordinary concrete spatial structures, that are located mostly in Europe and represent a unique legacy. It is important to raise awareness of this heritage, define the criteria for preserving it and begin the process of its renovation and rehabilitation.</p> <p>While concrete has become a 20th century emblem, much of the world’s heritage from this period is unrecognized or undervalued, and therefore it is at risk and in need of analysis and protection. Innovative technologies and solutions are needed that contribute to the successful reuse of modern concrete built heritage. Indeed, such structures are plagued by significant deterioration and most of them are in urgent need of retrofitting and/or radical refurbishment. In other words, there is a need to bring some of these buildings back to life, while respecting the spirit of their original characters, through new technologies for long-term conservation that can maintain an adequate level of structural performance. Achieving this goal would produce substantial economic impacts through activities such as restoration, maintenance, and cultural industry.</p> <p>The keynote lecture, more specifically, focuses on the condition assessment, monitoring and preservation of 20th century architectural heritage characterized by a complex spatial structural design. The service life of civil and cultural heritage concrete spatial structures is typically thought to range from 10 to 200 years, but in practice the service environment plays a pivotal role in sustained durability. Indeed, the collapse of Polcevera Viaduct in Genoa has raised strong concerns on the durability of concrete structures conceived at that time. The scientific community has once again underlined the important role played by maintenance and continuous structural health monitoring in avoiding these disastrous events. In order to demonstrate a correct approach to condition monitoring of concrete spatial buildings and bridges, some important experiences are described that were recently obtained at the Polytechnic of Turin on the structural analysis, seismic vulnerability and condition assessment for iconic 20th century heritage buildings.</p>
