Full textConsidering the whole corpus of the two writers, the essay means to extract the main data of aesthetics and morals from their experience of murder and homosexuality. Two of the most grievously sensitive scenes of their relationship to the world and their readers. The first part follow s its formulation and evolution about murder, from the "heretical passions" pf the 1920s' tales to the 1966 news in brief (jouhandeau); from the foul crimes of the 1940s' stories to the political murder in the last works (genet). The second part does the same with inversion, felt guilty for long, and to whom the two writers may have given the role of a n aesthetic and moral basis (or at least aesthetic: genet). The first three chapters study the evolution of the type of m. Godeau up to the libertin aesthetics in the carnets de don juan, then the defence of idolatry in the journaliers and the erotic works of the same period, finally the savoir-faire developped in the same decades on the ground of a moral debate. Four chapters devoted to genet follows the representation of male sexuality up to the moral compromise of journal du voleur, its denial in the 1954-1955s' texts to the benefit of an aesthetic logic, lastly the conclusion of the posthumous book, between prostitution and pieta. A last part studies the spiritual extensions of the aethetic and moral processes, which are actually elaborated in a religious climate from which jouhandeau and genet seek to detache ways and ideals of perfection

Full textPure Amour is the autobiographie of a passionate love affair between two men. It’s thus the title of our thesis : « Passion according to Jouhandeau : aspects of writing about oneself ». The first part refers to the narrative about passion : how a passionate love affair begins and then how the body exults. Homosexuality is viewed through Plato, not only with great tolerance, but also with exceptional dimension. But, the evolution of passionate love leads to disillusions of love and the search for the Sacred. That’s how Jouhandeau falls into a passionate desire which fortunately leads him in a world of sublimation and into Pure Amour, influenced by Fenelon. Because Jouhandeau is a mystic in search of wisdom, and especially, of the mysticism of Eros. This narrative about passion leads towards the second part of our study : the passion of writing analysing the epistolary process, the dissertation about love and the writing from the heart. In Pure Amour, Jouhandeau tries to make us believe in a passionate exceptional love for Robert and ending by its death. Let’s emphasize that the two parts of the thesis overlap as the two faces of the same coin, and it’s therefore impossible to separate them as they keep their own identity. The passionate love fusions with the passion of writing
Su, Hungdah. "Jean Monnet face à la politique européenne du général de Gaulle de 1958 à 1969." Paris 4, 1998. http://www.theses.fr/1998PA040047.
Full textMonnet's great design for Europe consisted of a unified Europe, a euro-American partnership and a world concert of big three. It was not entirely incompatible with de Gaulle’s European policy. However their divergences are huge. Monnet advocated a sovereignty merging, which was intolerable to de Gaulle. The latter preferred a traditional international cooperation. Besides, toward the USA, two men adopted different attitudes. Monnet accepted the American leadership on the continent before Europe is unified. That was in contradiction with de Gaulle’s policy. As a result, Monnet preconized a European federation while de Gaulle choosed the way to the confederation. But the clash didn't happen until de Gaulle imposed his first veto to the Great Britain’s participation to the common market in 1963. From that moment, Monnet tried his best to fight against de Gaulle’s European policy. His action committee gathers most of the political parties in the six member states of EEC. His personal relations with American leaders permitted him to de facto participate to the decision-making of the European policy of the USA. He played successfully the role of catalyzer. He had an influence upon the men with power but he took, at the same time, a distance from the power. Thought frustrated in the sixties, Monnet’s great design was partially realized in the following decades. In 1991, Germany was unified in the structure of NATO and EC instead of a pan-European system foreseen by de Gaulle. Later and later Monnet became the symbols of European integration movement. But will the integration lead to the creation of a European federation? Nobody knows it. However; in the foreseeable future, the European union will still consist of an integration and a cooperation. It is really regretful that Monnet and de Gaulle could not achieve a certain entente for Europe in the sixties

Although distintic countries and literary experiences, Fernando Pessoa (1888 - 1935) and Agostinho Neto (1922 - 1979) share the theme of national identity in their respective works, Mensagem (1934) and Sagrada Esperança (1974 ). Pessoa retraces the path taken by Camões in Os Lusíadas, shedding light on myths and extolling the Portuguese nation through historical events as a way to rescue the Portuguese collective identities, while Agostinho creates a poetry marked by engagement amid a period of wars for the conquest of Angola's independence, showing how Literature holds a fundamental role for the social reconstruction of colonized peoples. Using the comparative method, the propose is a reflection on the making of poetry as a tool for dialogue and social discussion, and to promote new approaches to the poems studied, investigating similar and dissonant aspects in the poetic works and thus reflect on the relationships between colonizer and colonized

Full textThe recognition of productivity in France is the fruit of a long process which, depending on the economic situation and the particular French context, involved several groups of people with different concerns. Productivity first guided the work of engineers and company directors between the two World Wars. Productivity then entered into theories of statisticians and economists who, like André L. A. Vincent at the “Institut de Conjoncture”, thought deeply about technical progress, national accounting and economic information during World War II. Finally, in 1945, when efforts are made to rebuild and modernize the French economy to catch up with America's high living standards, productivity is at the core of the strategies implemented by technocrats like Jean Fourastié, Fourth Republic politicians like Robert Buron, company directors and trade-unions officials who peopled ministerial cabinets and semi-official commissions like the “Commissariat du Plan”. With the help of the United States Technical Assistance Program (USTAP), of the Bureau of Labor Statistics and thanks to the “psychological shock” of the productivity missions, this small but influent “bataillon sacré de la productivité” sought to convince the French of the need to import new working methods and to pacify industrial relations
